Despite being on the beach front my sister and i walked onto the putside veranda and was told they didnt accept anyone wearing flipflops and sand. How utterly ridiculous

Operates a strict no shirt, no service policy, despite offering a take away service, on the beach. Popped for a swim and wanted to grab a take away cocktail to take back to my room. I was fully dry, no sand (to adhere to the posted sign saying to dry off and remove sand before entering). At the door I was told that I couldn’t come in as I wasn’t wearing a shirt. Explained I just wanted a take away cocktail and would be on my way, was happy to wait outside but barman was adamant that I needed a shirt and shoes before I could be served.

The best bar in Carvoeiro! Great drinks, very nice bar owners, great choice of cocktails! Phantastic view to the sea!

Used to be such a lovely place but now a very grumpy barman runs it. Don't move the chairs (directed at a different couple), or eat the fruit (directed at a different customer) or God forbid you allow your teenagers to use their phones (me)! It's fair to say after several years of returning to this establishment we will not be returning again this holiday. Hopefully, the barman goes on a customer relations course before we visit the area again. There are more polite ways of getting your point across without creating animosity.
