Ótima opção no vale do Douro. Fomo recebidos com muito carinho pelos donos Nuno e Cristina, que sempre estavam dispostos a nos proporcionar uma excelente estadia. Cafés da manhã e jantares excelentes, acomodação confortável e lugar muito lindo.

Super plek. Unieke ervaring. Nette verzorgende kamer en super verzorging. De weg door de bergen is wel een uitdaging. Over deze overnachting kun je blijven vertellen.

Dorme-se muito, muito bem e come-se ainda melhor. Um casal simpático e francamente acolhedor. Quer repousar? É aqui! Tem vertigens? Então vá de comboio pois a estrada é estreita e com declives. A paisagem é linda.

Our stay with Cristina and Nuno was a highlight of our time in Portugal. We immediately felt at home in their home and loved everything about them and the five star experience they shared with us. Dinner was particularly special as it gave us the chance to know them better and enjoy more of Cristina's incredible cooking and Nuno's wine! Muito obrigada!

This is the place to stay while in Duoro! What a lucky find staying at Nuno and Christina’s lovely renovated 150 year old home. Everything you need for your room is available. They are amazing hosts, seeing to all of your needs including recommendations to sites in the area with directions and history along with winery suggestions. Restaurants? If offered, DO NOT miss Christina’s home cooked dinners! Best meals we had in all of Portugal. The menus were traditional, hearty and with ingredients fresh from their own garden/farm. Did I mention homemade jams, wine from their grapes that Nuno harvests, and their own olive oil. If available, Christina and Nuno have some of their products available for sale. Great, memorable souvenirs! The service that the duo provide during dinner is impeccable, very comfortable with such classy touches such as candlelight at each table and wine service. Can’t say enough about the accommodations, the food and the warm hospitality. By the end of our stay we felt like we were saying goodbye to family members. A very memorable stay while in the Douro Valley. (Thank you Nuno and Christina!) Traveler Tips: Have Euros available to pay for their dinners, wine, olive oil, etc. as they have no means to process credit card. 10 minute walk from Covelinhas train station to their house. If you have luggage ask them to pick you up as there are no local taxis. Stop at winery behind train station, Quinta de Muncas?, happened to be traveling during harvest so much to see, very gracious people and delicious wines!

Unser Aufenthalt war einfach perfekt. Tolles Abendessen, guter Wein, saubere, moderne Zimmer, tolles Frühstück mit frischem Orangensaft und die Gastgeber waren unglaublich freundlich! Wir würden jederzeit wieder hier Übernachten!

Quinta da Travessa was my favourite place we stayed at in Portugal. Cristina and Nuno, the sweetest and most hospitable couple in the world, have created a wonderful hideaway in their 19th century farmhouse in off-the-beaten-path Covelinhas. The room is modern, spotless, and comfortable, with your own private entrance off their stunning gardens, and a view of the beautiful Douro hills. Breakfast (and dinner, if you opt for it) is delicious and massive. Cristina loves to cook and is very, very good at it. I still dream of her homemade orange marmalade. I can't wait to go back.

Café da manhã generoso servido na sala da Quinta, com as famosas e deliciosas geléias de frutas preparadas pela proprietária Cristina. Há opção de jantar na quinta com a comida caseira maravilhosa também preparada pela Cristina, imperdível e a preço módico. Local aconchegante e bucólico.
