An overrated restaurant/bar. Slow service. First we were seated and waited for 10 minutes for someone to get our drink order. Then wait another 5 minutes to order food as you cannot order both at the same time. The food was mediocre. My Moroccan grilled chicken dish was bland and unimaginative. Just because you add an orange doesn't compensate for the lack of seasoning. Having visited Morocco and many Moroccan restaurants I found the dish simply dull. Would not return there. There are better restaurants in Lagos.

단쭈부부세계일주
밤에 찾아가기 좋았던 술집. 골목에 있어서 쉽게 찾아낼수는 없지만 좋은 분위기에서 조용하게 간단하게 와인, 맥주, 술을 즐길 수 있는 곳이다. 라고스에서 2주간 지내면서 자주 이 곳에 찾아와 와인한잔을 하며 하루를 마무리 했다. 늘 친절한 직원들, 맛있는 음식, 맛있는 하우스와인이 있는 곳이다. 라고스에 밤거리를 지나가다가 술 생각나면 이 곳에서 맛있는 술을 먹기를 권한다.

Celebrating a birthday here. Cool place to eat burgers! I had the Barbosa double: 2 burgers in 1. Double the cheese, double the taste! Very good burgers here. Friendly staff and also not too expensive. English speaking staff. Had a blast here!

Super tolles Restaurant mit sehr leckeren Tapas.
Der Service ist wirklich nett und freundlich und kann einem bei Entscheidungsproblemen auch sehr gute Empfehlungen geben.
Die Preise sind wirklich angemessen und belohnen auch die wirklich vorzügliche Qualität.

A informação no Google era que o estabelecimento fechava às 00:00 hs. Chegamos no local às 21:30 hs e fomos informados educadamente por uma atendente (hostess) que a cozinha estava fechando, e que
não poderia nos atender, e provavelmente não encontraríamos mais locais para jantar em Lagos, pois os restaurantes locais em geral fechavam às 22:00 hs.
Conseguimos jantar em um restaurante próximo, onde fomos muito bem atendidos.
Na saída do restaurante, por volta de 23:00 hs, passamos em frente ao Barbosa Bar, e para nossa surpresa, o bar se encontrava aberto, com bastante movimento e com várias mesas a jantar ainda.
Qual será o motivo de um tratamento tão pouco receptivo, pois acredito que tal postura não é adequada a qualquer estabelecimento comercial.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung, schönes Ambiente, super leckeres Essen - vor allem die Tapas sind empfehlenswert. Eine Vielfalt an guten Getränken. Preisleistungsverhältniss gut/übereinstimmend. Alles sehr modern und gemütlich, gerade für junge Leute gut geeignet!!

We were looking for some traditional style food and came across this place .
The place is decorated in a modern contemporary style with the food to match.
The staff were friendly and well in formed and the food was produced by people with a passion and a really sense of flavour
We ordered 6 dishes from the tapas menu and each one was a joy to look at and amazing to taste.
We ordered the goats cheese, octopus salad , and tuna salsa which was so finally balanced we could of just eaten more .
Attention to detail is a thing that ranks high in this place and the tuna topped with sesame and nigella seeds with finally chopped chillies was just delicious .
The wine recommended was a real treat also ( fat baron ) which matched the strong and subtle flavours of the tapas which just topped the night off . The staff speak lots of different languages and our hostess ( pinky ) was fun, polite and passionate about the food as staff should be in a place like this.
All the food that came from the kitchen looks amazing so if want to treat yourself with delights for your taste buds then you will not go wrong

Un excellent resto, notre QJ à Lagos pendant 4 jours. La carte des plats est simple, avec des produits frais et savoureux. Nous avons gouté tous les plats principaux :
- Octopus grillé : 18/20, la sauce au caramel est un delice
- Thon grillé : 17/20, l'accompagnement est aussi un regal
- Risotto d'octopus : 17/20 aussi, il fond dans la bouche !
- Bar grillé : 16/20, parfumé au thym !
- Risotto au porto et champignons : 16/20, délicieux mais on a préféré celui au poulpe (octopus)
- Poulet à la marocaine : 15/20, très bon mais moins spécial que les autres et ce n'est pas une spécialité locale
Tapas : le guacamole est bon, mais il vaut mieux ne pas passer à côté du chorizo flambé !
En dessert, mention spéciale pour le panacotta au citron, qui est une tuerie.
Carte des vins superbe, notre coeur va au Rouge Meia Preia, domaine tout proche du resto.
Et pour ne rien gâcher, les serveuses sont adorables !! On vous dit une seule chose : merci, et bonne continuation !

Had the most wonderful time at this little gem. We were wonderfully guided by Pinky (who rocked our world all night) for some orange wine; great spot to discover low intervention/natural wines. Food and ambiance were awesome and overall, a pretty perfect evening.

We found this place by chance and we didn't think it would be great. We were sorely mistaken. The service was AMAZING! The way everyone worked together (even the bartender would bring food to the table not to let it sit on the counter to get cold, if he wasn't busy and the waitresses were busy).
Hats down the best white sangria I have ever had.
Also, they introduced us to Porto tonic: amazing!
Food was awesome too, went for my favorite: tuna. My husband had the risotto and while he is not usually a rice fan, he was very excited with his choice.
PS: they have pimientos de padron

We tried so many tapas, they were delicious. Hot chorizo, grilled octopus, guacamole, goat cheese with nuts and honey, Mexican hamburger.
Waiter kind and helpful. If you are around, don’t miss it!

Amazing little place! So glad we found it, staff were super helpful and friendly, food was incredible and cocktails done just right :)) Wish we could have stayed longer in the area to come again, all the ingredients were fresh and full of taste. Would love to go again :)

The atmosphere was better than the food the tapas were inventive and nice and the staff where friendly but unfortunately as it is low season lots of the dishes weren’t available I wasn’t able to order roasted octopus and the octopus risotto had cream in it and they were not able to substitute the cream as I’m allergic. All in all average place average food.

Very friendly service. Stopped in late one night on our drive from Faro airport to Sagres. Had a bunch of appetizers. Liked the charcuterie meat plate and charred peppers. Didn’t like the beet hummus.

Stopped by for happy hour the day before and met a great bartender. Decided to come back for dinner as we wanted the fire grilled chorizo. It did not disappoint. So tasty. Before 7:30 house wine and beer is 1.50 euro. Highly recommend.

Super endroit pour manger ou boire un verre. Nous avons aimé la gentillesse du personnel, et le décor qui mélange modernité et traditions Portugaises. Les plats étaient de loin les meilleurs que nous avons mangé à Lagos, et mention spéciale pour le brownie en dessert !

Well, reviews were good. But we were declined a booking we had booked in advance because we were 15 mins late. They gave our 6 person table to a young couple. The Lagos hospitality had little to be desired in this case . And safe to say we shall never dine at this restaurant ever.

Scheinbar eines der besseren Restaurants hier in Lagos.
Das Ambiente und die Einrichtung ist sehr schön. Wir haben sehr gemütlich gesessen. Man sollte aber wohl besser reservieren.
Wir hatten einen vegetarischen Burger (mit Pilz) und eine Dorade mit Gemüse. Das Essen war sehr lecker mit frischen Kräutern uns sehr schmackhaft. Es gibt dort auch gute Drinks, guten Wein und Cocktails.
Die Bedienung ist sehr flott, freundlich und aufmerksam. Chic und auch etwas modern.
Sogar die Toiletten sehen neu und ordentlich aus. Wir hatten einen schönen Abend.

Best food, wine and ambiance we have found in Algarve. The tuna tartare, tuna salad, portobello mushroom risotto were amazing! As was the wine, which was a Portuguese Chardonnay. The service was also exceptional. Everything came out super quick and was cooked to perfection. Would definitely go back and recommend to everyone!

Charming place. The inside terrasse was delightful, made you feel welcome. The host was nice and very helpful, so was the waitress at the time. Overall the full fish plate was satisfying, the chicken salad was simple but hit the spot. Prices for alcohol seem about right for happy hour, however, meals were a tad high but expected since in Lagos City Centre. Would recommend.

The place is packed. I went the first day and couldn’t get a table. I didn’t have a reservation. the next day i went a little earlier and got a table. The service was ok. I had the Portuguese blonde ale and the grilled whole fish (seabream or seabass) it was amazing. Super recommend it. It was a bit pricy about 15 euros, but definitely worth it.

A bit overpriced for just decent food and drinks (even the house wine was more than most other restaurants). We weren't seated right away despite there being open tables reserved for people who didn't show up on time. This the general case of all spots located in the tourist center of Lagos so if overpriced food and reserving a table for every meal is something you're OK with - then Barbosa will match your expectations.

Nice staff and atmosphere. During peak season they don't take reserves, so we went soon to dine but had to wait at the table 45 minutes to be served. We ordered two Barbosa burgers and found them dry and salty. The cheeseburger, the Portobello and the beetroot one were good.

Os hamburgers são bons e a sangria é muito boa. Aliás, tudo o que provei de entradas também gostei muito. O problema maior deste restaurante são as reservas e a viabilidade de conseguir uma mesa sem reserva. Por isso, pense em ir muito, muito cedo. Abrem às 18h. É uma boa hora.

Service was not really efficient. We had no reservation so we were told to wait for 10-20 minutes we would get a beer. The wait was ultimately 40+ minutes and the beers took almost 30 minutes to arrive. But after that... food was really good! Perfect! I hope they can do something about the service; than it would be a great experience.

A faire si vous êtes de passage à Lagos et si vous voulez goûter une cuisine un peu plus créative qui reste tout de même locale, comparé à d'autres restaurants en algarve.
Service impeccable et cuisine travaillée (chapeau au cuisinier qui est seul !)
Pour 2 spritz 1 tapas 2 plats 2 verres de vin et 1 café = 50 euros pour 2.
Cela valait le détour nous recommandons !
Par contre n'y allez pas après 21h30 pour manger la cuisine ferme tôt!

Overall a great experience. Didn't have a reservation but the host was kind enough to seat us in the back. Service was efficient and all the servers were friendly. Prices are reasonable, food tasted good and portions were fair. Would recommend to others.

Good service and well priced. Good sized tapas. Piementos or padron peppers around 4.5e. The octopus salad with potatoes was great (warm and not too sour). The house white is great. Rose not so. Went mid November so service might have been great as not prime season. Overall it's a nice place. (Note to owners: flaming sausage makes the entire place smell of gas/coal, don't recommend doing it, please ).

The kitchen was amazing, the waitresses not so much. Grumpy attitude. Prioritizing cleaning the tables over bringing us a menu and ignoring the kitchen bell for 3 rings. Step up your game to match the kitchen ladies!

As a celiac it is often so difficult to find a place to meet the strict gf dietary needs. Barbosa had clearly marked items on their menu, I had the octopus risotto and it was amazed! Thank you for making the difficult task of eating so much easier. Highly recommended if you're celiac or gf!

Very well decorated, nice venue. I had a bbq burger and my friend had a beetsteak burger. The bbq burger had lots of pickles and the meat was okay, nothing to rave about. The beet steak was good and looked like they tried to get it to look like real meat. Came for happy hour had white wine and it was mediocre.

Very good food in a small location. I had guacamole tapas, grilled octopus with salad and brownie with ice cream and almonds. Staff is friendly and they come all the time to ask you.if everything is ok. Prices are like every other restaurant downtown Lagos.

Octopus Risotto was very good bit way too small for a main dish. Beer from the menu wasn't available, neither the bottled nor the draft one. Perhaps I just had bad luck. Generally it seems to be a good restaurant.

Very, very good quality service, in time and polite staff. Food was very good, prices decent. Highly recommend. Also the atmosphere is cosy and relaxing, with modern yet pleaseant decour.

It was the best food I had in Lagos!!!
For a starter we had broken egg. That was an interesting mix of ingredients I wouldn't have thought of but they went together very well!
Afterwards I had the Maroccan Chicken and my boyfriend the Italian Burger:both dishes were amazing!!! Those flavours...
The sauces of the fries were homemade and very delicious!
The chicken had great spices on it and the veggie sauce with lentils,carrots and chickpeas was incredible!Additionally, couscous came with it and made this dish perfect!
I wish they would teach me all their recipes ;)
I can highly recommend it!!!
P.S.:it was so good that I wrote my first recommendation (yeah,this one right here!)

The manager was more focused on filling the restaurant than servicing guests. We got there early and she only offered us a seat in the front. We asked if there were other seats, but she refused to seat us in the back patio for the sole purpose of making the place look busy. Food was good, but we felt like pawns in a game of chess. Go elsewhere...much better food and service elsewhere in Lagos.

Very nice place, excellent decorated with superb food choices.
The staff was very friendly and kind. Some dishes took a bit more to get done and served but the waiters and waitresses did their best to compensate for that.
We had sea food risotto, grilled bass (or something like that), tuna steak, green salad, some hors d'oeuvres and they everything was tasteful and mouthful.
The only thing we regreted was that we didn't order the flaming sausage, it looked really really good. Next time for sure.

Miejsce nie warte większej uwagi, mdłe i monotonne risotto z ośmiornica (zupelnie pozbawione kremowosci), burger, tak chwalony w internecie mocno przeciętny, mięso wg menu podawane medium, a wysmazone calkowicie. Lepiej nie tracić czasu na te miejscówke.

I ate here for their vegan option. Such a beautiful space and great food! The olives and mushroom tapas are great! Try the portobello mushroom burger (you can get it on a salad too). Great experience

Déçu par le poulpe, noyé dans la sauce soja pour bêtement faire asiatique, et peu généreux (maigres tentacules). La purée de céleri était honnête.
Padrones en entrée/tapas très chouettes ;mais c’est dur à rater). J’ai oublié les autres choix, c’est dire.

Impression mitigee et globalement decue.
Le cadre assez charmant et cosy de cette adresse ne suffit pas a rattrapper la longue attente entre les plats et des prix un peu eleves pour une cuisine qui n a rien d ebouriffante au final. Spritz trop dilue, burger servi legerement brule au passage sans compter que les frites furent en supplement... bref reputation surfaite, on trouve plus savoureux et meilleur marche dans les resto des rues alentour.

Very nice place and staff. The atmosphere is very chill and cozy. We order two burgers and they were delicious. I would really recommend this place, specially if you are tourist because they have a good service and they speak english.

I am writing from subjective customer’s perspective with a deepest respect for hard working staff that I’ve seen. They are using a policy or a marketing technique of seating customers next to the bar, because tables are busy. So the frustration started from the entrance since we were waiting to be seated. Then the nice red-head manager or who knows who she was told us to wait at the bar. Ok, we ordered drinks. We had a sense, who is behind us in a queue. “Manager” told us (we were just a couple) we can take a seat next to a long shared table with the others otherwise we had to wait in a queue again. I asked manager if we can take a table for four (smaller and more private option) which could be seen being not occupied in front of us. She told us, that she gave that table for a family (the one which stood behind us in a queue) and we understood behind the lines that we’re not gonna have the pleasure to sit privately.
I understand manager’s point, that she has to manage optimal solutions and efficient time and resource allocation. But, her mistake was that customer is being forced to choose undesired conditions and can experience of inequity, inequality and lack of hospitality. It seemed that being in a queue doesn’t give you an advantage of anything- not you choose what you want, but a manager chooses what is better for a restaurant. I understand that they want to make money, but the customers are not only a “number” and they have expectations to have a good time. So we finished our drinks and left because the manager’s hunt for optimal clients killed our appetite. Good luck for staff and for a manager- think more about “user-experience” next time!

Service pitoyable, nourriture hyper fade et bière sans intérêt.
On est venu a sept, la serveuse a voulu nous faire attendre 1/2 heure plutôt que de nous proposer deux tables côte à côte.
Les hamburgers n'ont aucun goût, sont trop gras, le pain industriel ne ressemble à rien.
Les plats pour enfants sont des pâtes pas cuites baignant dans l'huile.
A fuir!

We got there and got ignored at the entrance for a good 10 min (even though we had eye contacts with several servers) before we decided to approach one. The waitress then said that there would be at least another 30 min wait (in addition to the 10 min spend standing at the entrance) and then she invited us to have a drink at the bar while we wait. Were they expecting us to simply wait 40 min at the entrance without knowing what was going on? I would expected them to invite us at the bar as as soon as they saw us. Didn’t leave a good first impression on us, and I fear for the service quality at the tables. We simply left and have no intention of going back.

Incredible tapas, really good guacamole and breaded goat cheese. The octopus risotto was awesome and the robalo is really good too! Friendly and welcoming staff. More than recommended!

This is by far one of the best restaurants and bar in Lagos. Don't hesitate to visit it and try the goat breaded cheese.

We shared tapas here which were all nice, although their best dish (roasted octopus) wasnt available on the night due to an oven malfunction- not their fault, but if you go there for this dish check prior! (Also, my rating is for Lagos, if this were elsewhere I would rate a 4).

The goat cheese tapas was amazing! Outstanding service and lovely atmosphere. The sangria was very tasty as were our main courses (hake steak and salmon salad with wedges on the side). Highly recommended.

Gli interni sono ben curati e il personale è molto gentile.
I prezzi sono medio-alti rispetto alla media portoghese.
In 4 abbiamo ordinato il piatto di hamburger con patatine, birre e due dolci abbiamo speso circa 90€.
Parlano molto bene inglese.

Zeer vriendelijk en ervaren obers. Hamburgers zijn super vers vlees en met liefde gemaakt, smaakt heerlijk. Ook tapas zijn heel lekker. Leuk sfeer en naar mijn mening een restaurant die je moet bezoeken wanneer je in Lagos bent.

Brilliant bar & kitchen, one off the largest selections of gins, whiskeys, rum and liqueurs I run the bar bit after all(not the restaurant) :p I love any type of drink be it sour, sweet, bitter, strong, soft and full bodies or just soft and delicate. I love them all and that is what my bar represents

The best restaurant we went to in Lagos. The bartender and waitress were great people, and the burger (I tried both the BBQ and the Italian) were *literally* the best burgers I've ever had. If you're in Lagos you owe it to yourself to visit this restaurant.

We were looking for a great spot to have drinks outside after dinner and this place was perfect! Great atmosphere, awesome music, (which is a rarity in Europe), and really extensive drink list including ports, wines, beers and lots of great cocktails. We had 4 cocktails and a bottle of wine for 33€. The service was some of the best we've had in Europe. Tiago (sp?) was just the best. We're coming back tonight! Note that the open hours listed here and on the door of the restaurant might not be accurate. We thought they would be closed on Sunday, but they said they'd be open.

Eine entspannte Atmosphäre und modernes, nicht aufdringliches Ambiente. Würziges Gazpacho war bei 32'C die Wahl der Stunde! Dazu Omelett Barbosa und Kaffee. Ideal für eine Frühstück-Mittags-Pause. Selbstgemachter Ketchup mit einer Idee Honig nicht zu vergessen!
