Visiting this small, family owned and run Vineyard was the highlight of our visit to the Duoro valley. The owner and his staff are kind, charming and wonderful. The tour was personal, genuine and informative. They make their own ports the old fashioned way, from growing the grapes, to aging, to bottling. I highly, highly recommend a visit here. Oh, their ports and wines are excellent.

This is a lovely location and a great view. It’s also nice not to be in an international lookalike hotel. We obviously bought port which was lovely, especially the white. However the food was amateurish and cold and the rooms, whilst quaint, could have done without loads of family possessions circa 1970. There’s a difference between a few tasteful pieces to evoke an era and recycling granny’s knick knacks. The sanitary-ware seemed to be of the same era. The beds like boards. I’d look for an alternative next time.

We stayed for 2 nights on the property, had the tour, wine tasting with dinner and also had a dinner without the tasting on our 2nd night. The property is breathtaking, the accommodations were cozy, the tour was fun and informative, and the food was delicious. Not only would I highly recommend, but I hope to return again.

Beau domaine qui offre une vue magnifique sur le Douro.

A very authentic building (old monastery) with a charming feel. Staff is wonderful and welcoming and the dogs made you laugh. Joined for dinner and the tour and was very happy we did. Then went for a walk through the vineyard in the morning (fantastic!) A great way to experience the Douro Valley and learn a bit about the whole port-making process. Recommended.

Gorgeous place, but after navigating the parking, you’re forced to take an 18-euro, hour-long tour that includes 3 light Porto samplings, followed by a showing of the machinery and barrels.
While they show you how the wine is made (spoiler alert: they plant grapes, harvest, crush, barrel, age and then bottle and distribute), there’s no option to just do a tasting or buy a glass or two and enjoy the view.. the 18 euro tour didn’t carry as much value as you’d receive at other less obvious spots vineyards up the mountainside.
In retrospect, you likely can skip the tour and head to the gift shop to buy a bottle, though the staff was adamant a tour was required to stay.

Excelente local para se curtir o Douro e seus vinhos. Fiquei duas noites mas queria mais. Voltei no tempo nesta casa de pedra com lembranças da familia por todos os cantos, seus móveis antigos e de valor inestimável. Degustação e jantar maravilhosos. Contamos com a eficiência de Luis, simpático, alegre e excelente companhia. Café da manhã muito rico e em companhia de outros turistas onde se tem a oportunidade de prosear sobre tudo.

We were there just on a tour and to taste wine. We got there by chance simply driving and looking what is still open after 17:30. You need to really look for wine shop don't give up it is around some corners.

Se siete dalle parti di Valdigem in Portogallo fermatevi in questo delizioso agriturismo. Io personalmente ho usufruito solo della ristorazione che ho apprezzato molto. Ho gustato piatti tipici accompagnati da vini di produzione propria. Oltre al vino producono anche olio di oliva, molto buono. Le loro olive con aglio gustosissime, assaggiatele. Personale disponibile e cortese. Consiglio.

Para degustar vinhos é uma boa pedida, já para pernoite, nem tanto. Ficamos numa casinha de dois quartos e tivemos alguns problemas: o ar condicionado da sala de tv não resfriada, o do meu quarto fez ruídos e estalos a noite toda. O ralo do chuveiro estava entupido, as janelas não fechavam direito e o café da manhã é numa mesa redondo, com outras pessoas desconhecidas. Acho meio constrangedor.

O quarto era super antigo cheirava a velho moveis velhos nao tinha secador de cabelo como dizia pequeno almoço muito pobre nao falando que se fica sem água a meio do duche foi a pior experiência..

Quinta is located beyind of the city. There is calm, only with sounds of nature (almost, because hotel is situated above the road, fortunately wich is not with heavy traffic). Landscapes and views from our room and all places (restaurant, terraces) were stunning!!! I love it!!! Ideal place to take a rest and to forget about all world. And to drink amazing wine. Wow! Room and bathroom was clean. Design was a little bit weird (like in heritage park) but still comf. All staff was super (!!!) helpful and very (!!!) kind. There was no problem with anything.

Cesar gave us an informative, frank, and fun tour. The grounds are beautiful and you learn a lot more about the wine making process than at one of the lodges in Porto. The tour was capped with tasting a shockingly generous selection of excellent wines. Cannot recommend enough.

Small, family owned quinta run by some of the kindest and friendliest people you will ever meet. Unlike the larger wineries, they still make wine by stamping the grapes by foot. Consider calling in advance for a tour since the quintas can be quite busy around public holidays.

Lugar encantador!! Fomos em janeiro, muito bem recepcionados pelo Dr. César e toda equipe, além de degustar deliciosos vinhos tivémos uma aula sobre vinho do porto. Estáva frio, optamos por jantar lá, muito bem servido, o bacalhau estava maravilhoso outras delícias também! Super recomendo.

Uma das mais antigas da região.
Durante nosso passeio pelos dois lados do rio, plenamente ocupados por vinhas, visitamos a Quinta de Marrocos, uma das mais antigas da região, onde fizemos uma imersão na produção do vinho do porto, em suas diversas castas. Nós nem sabíamos que o vinho do Porto se apresentava de tantas formas.
É uma quinta com videiras centenárias, que ainda dispõe de lagares de granito, onde ocorre a pisa das uvas a pé. A qualidade de seus vinhos é reconhecida nos principais concursos internacionais e, humildemente por nós, na deliciosa degustação.

Excelente propriedade, o Sr. Cesar é muito simpático e nos apresenta o processo de fabricação do vinho próprio, após essa visita, nos é servido um jantar delicioso. A localização é calma, super tranquila e aconchegante, o café da manhã é bem servido e delicioso. Não tenho nada a reclamar. Ah! E as boas vindas são com uma tá de vinho <3
