We arrived around 8p, after a beautiful day in Douro valley. A nice lady saw us approaching with the car. Took us to the house, we were 4 adults, were given a house, beautiful, 2 bedrooms, 2 bath. The House was decorated beautiful. We had in the living room, cheese bread, salami and wine for dinner. It was great. The village is on top of a mountain, beautiful view of The Valley in the morning. Fresh air, fruit trees, grapes, and flowers. Breakfast was great, excellent coffee, bread, cheese, meat, eggs, pastries, fruit, and jams. A read feast. We decided next time we must come for a few days. Excellent place for beauty, and relaxation.

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The owner helped me plan a nice day in the Douro Valley with his extensive suggestions. The social interaction with other guests at the dinner table was also great.

Nous avons adorés cet endroit. Les hôtes sont charmants et d'une grande gentillesse. Propreté irreprochable et les repas sont plus que généreux. Cuisine du terroir et gâteaux faits maison. Je conseillerai l'endroit les yeux fermés.

Extremely nice place, very peaceful and relaxing, Wake up to the sounds of birds chirping and can see windmills twirling. Almost can hear the sound of silence. Place was built in the 1700 hundreds kinda stuck in time. But the rooms are really comfortable and renewed. The place doesnt look like a hotel but it is managed by the nicest people you will meet. additionally we met the Luisas cousin Carla she made us feel at home beautiful smile fills the room. for sure worth the trip and the value. Loved it.

Fiquei duas noites no T3 Casa do Avô do Soito. Alojamento muito agradável e cuidado ao que acresce o prazer de ficar alojado numa casa rural com 400 anos e com todas as comodidades de hoje. Donos muito simpáticos e prestáveis com sincera vontade em que nos sentissemos em casa. Paisagem belíssima com sossego e descanso a condizer. Recomendo vivamente.

Passei um fim de semana de Agosto em "Outros Tempos" e fiquei deslumbrada pelo local, o conceito, e um serviço de excelência, e onde, o acolhimento familiar faz toda a diferença .Local recomendável, repetível e onde sentimos uma grande nostalgia quando saímos! Se trata de varias casas en una aldea bastante alta, bien conservada y con paisaje. Una de las casas dispone de una piscina que se agradece al volver de las excursiones. Está regentada por una pareja amabilisima. Te reciben con una copita de Porto riquísimo. Los desayunos muy buenos con mermeladas y tartas caseras buenisinas, además de comida salada y fruta. También ofrecen cenas, pero nosotros no cenamos allí, imagino que serán muy buenas, además de copiosas.
Tienen una carpeta en la que explican las posibles rutas a realizar. La versión en castellano deberian mejorarla, ya que parece traducción directa de Google sin corregir, pero él te da todas lasexplicaciones que le pidas, por lo que se compensa. Nos sentimos muy a gusto y cómodos. Es un lugar recomendable 100%

Only an incident that happened at 4:30 A.M that broke the excellent silence: a group that made a lot of noise with songs and shouting when returning to their accommodations .... i were awaiked and could n t sleep again.

Alojamento simpático, com anfitrião que prima pela arte de bem receber.
O único contra é a piscina não ser de acesso directo a todas as casas, obrigando os hóspedes a deslocarem-se pela rua para lá chegar, apesar da curta distância entre espaços.

Um alojamento rural onde se chega com curiosidade da qualidade do que vai encontrar, alojamento, pequeno almoço, informações dos arredores, etc. e se sai com plena satisfação sobre todos os itens mencionados. Estadia muito curta, apenas 01 noite, mas, EXCELENTE DORMIDA, c/ um ÓTIMO JANTAR.
Excelente receção, por parte dos anfitriões e, que me perdoe a esposa do Sr. Amílcar Cepeda, mas pronunciar o nome dela só está ao alcance dos mais dotados.
Deu até para um episódio caricato ... "O cavalo que deu o coice..."!

Very friendly family who looked after us and fed us fantastic food! We stayed in a lovely old house in a great little old village on top of the hill. A really nice place to get away for a couple of days.

This is a small family run hotel. We stayed in the main house which is about 300 years old with loads of character. The rooms are clean and well resourced. Breakfasts are fantastic with lots of home cooking. The hotel offers dinner which again features traditional Portuguese home cooking in substantial quantities, the food at Outros Tempos was the highlight of our three week trip to Portugal. The hotel is near all the main sites of the Douro Valley and the owners have helpful printed trip sheets for the surrounding area.

Wonderful hosts and fantastic breakfast and (optional) dinner. No services in town, so unless you rent one of their 3 houses/cottage, their dinner is your best option.. but delicious! 7-8 appetizers, large platter of meat plus veggies and salad... 7-8 desserts! Plus aperitif, wine, port and brandy!! Whew!! Our room was small with only a double bed but had a little balcony and resident kitty. The cottage for 2-3 people would be a nice choice as you could have a dinner on your own if you were staying several nights! It is a short ways from the main house and breakfast, but has a patio and nice view. The swimming pool in the picture is not in the main house... it is one of their 2-3 bedroom homes to rent. The property is about 30 minutes down a steep, windy road to the river and the wine-tasting quintas. Very welcoming hosts!

We had booked a room with a balcony which we were pleased we had done so. Wi-fi was not good at first but the owners rectified it by calling an engineer who eventually fixed it. When we arrived it was a Saturday and very full, especially the pool area by Portugese families, but after the weekend it was very quiet. Food and quality of service were very good even when very full. There is not much to see in the village but nearby village of Armamar is very nice with good restaurants and views of hills and vineyards. Overall very good stay and recommend it for 2 or 3 days.

We booked this spot at the last minute because we could not get any of the accommodation we wanted in the Duro Valley. It was a unique spot. Fine for 2 people. Our third person slept on a pull out couch that creaked all night and kept us all awake. We stayed in a small stone cottage ( basic) away from the main house. Our main disappointment was not having any place to eat nearby. We had to get back in the car after a 4 hour drive and find food in the nearby town. We are used to walking once we arrive at a destination. Breakfast was okay.. nothing special for Portugal. The lady that took care of us was lovely.

Experiência a recomendar. Alojamento rural com uma decoração típica. Tudo em estado imaculado e extremamente confortável. Pequeno almoço simplesmente fantástico e jantar servido indescritível. Recomendo. A simpatia dos responsáveis e o acompanhamento constante é algo francamenfe excepcional.

Das Guesthouse ist schwer zu finden. Die Adresse muss man erstmal richtig zuordnen, damit man im richtigen Dorf ist. Zum gluck haben die Bewohner eines anderen Dorfes uns sehr hilfsbereit zur Seite gestanden. Im richtigen Dorf angekommen, gibt es dann auch Hinweisschilder.Als wir ankamen, war niemand da, der uns erwartet hätte, aber trotzdem haben wir über Nachbarn und mit Händen und Füßen kommunizierend dann unser Zimmer bekommen. Die Einrichtung ist rustikal und passt genau zum Ort. Die Familie hat uns dann am Abend empfangen und uns ein paar Tips gegeben.Am nächsten Morgen das Frühstück war hervorragend. Wir waren nur 2 Personen, aber von dem was aufgetischt wurde, mit vielen selbstgemachten Dingen, hätten auch 10 Leute gut satt werden können.Den auf dem einen Bild vorhanden Pool haben wir nicht gesehen, es war aber auch schlechtes Wetter.

Beautiful old country house built in 1750 and modernized respecting the houses origins. Very comfortable. Owners are very accomadating giving help with the visit. Breakfast is one of the best we have had. Recommend very highly. As it is in a small village it is not easy to find. However the extra effort is very worthwhile

Avec nos amis nous avons passé deux belles journées à Outros Tempos. L'accueil par les propriétaires a été excellent, ils sont très serviables et à votre disposition pour vous donner des conseils. La décoration des chambres est très recherchée et nous a beaucoup plue. La vue et le cadre des 2 maisons sont exceptionnels.
Une bonne adresse à ne pas manquer.

Gostamos de tudo , por isso já foi a nossa segunda vez. O pequeno almoço muito bom, com os bolos caseiros, adoramos. Tudo muito limpo com roupa de cama e banho imaculada. Parabens .

Wij hebben drie nachten in Outros Tempos gelogeerd. Het was een heerlijke ervaring. Heel leuk om met de gasten uit alle windstreken aan één tafel gezamenlijk te ontbijten en te dineren. Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid met allerlei zelfgemaakt gebak (de eigenaresse bakte dit zelf), vers fruit, lekkere koffie etc.
Als je wilde kon je ook 's avonds blijven eten, en dat is beslist een aanrader. Vier gangen, plus wijn, plus port (wit)vooraf en rood (toetje) en voor de heren (?) nog een borrel toe. En daarbij weer ..... gezamenlijk aan de lange tafel wat enorm leuk is met allerlei verschillende gesprekken in verschillende talen.
De slaapkamer was groot, met een heel goed bed en een goede douche. Het meubilair is mooi, antiek.
Toen we afscheid namen kregen we taart mee, port en jam.
Geweldige ervaring. Dit hotel kan ik iedereen aanraden. Maar maak een beetje haast. Deze zeer aktieve en vriendelijke eigenaren zijn 74 en 73 jaar oud!

A true melting pot of cultures. Hosts perfectly accommodating, generous with food wine port and hospitality. English a bit scarce in Douro. Dinners at outros tempos were huge delicious, drunk, and so much fun! Each night added another guest from a different country as the turnover was constant. So interesting, everyone curious and friendly to meet each other. Like a big dinner party with interesting fun loving guests, eating drinking laughing! Driving is very difficult in Douro. This was stressful!

It was something from a fairytale. We came there in a small village in Douro Ribera in quite picturesque place and were surrounded by paterfamilias. The man and a woman were so hospitable that sometime you even didn't know how to accept all their care. Fresh cheese from the region, lovely bread, homemade pies, local specialities - it everything was on the dining table.
The rooms are decorated in traditions of the region, with fancy of middle aged times. The style and authenticity in each detail. Just great!
The landlord explained us the way to places we wanted to visit and the landlady gifted us some tasty food of their hospitable house. The people and everything was absolutely fantastic!

Outros Tempos est un hôtel des plus charmants. Perdu dans les collines surplombant le fleuve, son relatif eloignement en fait un lieu propice au repos et à la détente.La gentilesse des propriétaires particulièrement attachants, toujours enclin à vous aider et vous conseiller, rend cet élégant gite qui ravira les amoureux de vieille pierre encore plus agréable.Quil soit romantique, familial ou même entre amis, on ne peut quinviter ceux en voyage dans cette region à déposer leur valises quelques jours, et venir déguster un verre de Porto les pieds dans leau en profitant dune vue magnifique sur la vallée.Revigorant.

Generell hatten wir einen schönen Aufenthalt im Outros Tempos. Die Besitzerin ist überaus freundlich. Das Frühstück war einmalig und wies durchaus den Standard eines 5-Stern-Hotels auf. Der Pool war ebenfalls nett. Ein kleiner Punkt, der Beachtung finden sollte: die Anfahrt gestaltet sich etwas interessant, d.h. die Unterkunft befindet sich ca. 35 Auto-Minuten ausserhalb von Pinhao. Bitte auch die Anfahrtskizze ausdrucken, da die Unterkunft nicht in Amarmar liegt sondern in einem Nachbarort Aricera. Der ideale Ort zum Abschalten und Erholen, wenn man sich auf die dezentrale Lage einlässt. Summa summarum haben wir unseren Aufenthalt genossen und können Outros Tempos auf jeden Fall empfehlen.
