A EVITER
L'hôtel a annulé ma réservation 24h avant notre arrivé. Ils prétendent que ma carte de crédit fonctionne pas. Quand j'ai voulu faire une nouvelle réservation par téléphone, il me demandait un supplément égal au double de la réservation.
Après contacte avec ma banque, ma CC fonctionne très bien (je l'ai utilisé en Chine, à Cuba, au Portugal, Suisse, Cambodge, Myanmar, ect...). J'ai donc dû trouver une autre chambre dans le stress et comme par magie, ma CC fonctionnait à merveille pour le nouvel hôtel. Première fois que cela m'arrive: en gros ce sont des SCAMMERS.

Very friendly check-in staff, with really good communication skills. The room is as expected for the level of hotel. It was cozy, with plenty of storage. The bathroom was good quality with the shower providing decent hot water, however the toilet which was wedged into a small alcove of the bathroom which made a very tight fit when sitting on it. WiFi is included and very fast and no outage. Breakfast is included and is simple continental fair, but very tasty and kept us going until the early evening. Location is very close to the clubs and bars, but we heard absolutely no noise at all. Would definitely visit again. Thank you

Estuvimos muy cómodos, la habitación muy pequeña pero muy confortable. Muy céntrico, justo lo que buscábamos.

Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Bau ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Zimmer war zwar frisch gestrichen. Die Türen und Fußleisten waren aber etwas vergilbt und könnten mal eine Auffrischung gebrauchen. Neuer Teppichboden würde auch nichts schaden. Bad hingegen war neu und geräumig. Frühstück leider nur so la la. Aber gute Lage mitten im Zentrum in ruhiger Seitenstraße.

Hotel muy bien situado. Cerca de todo. Junto con la amabilidad del personal, es lo mejor que tiene el hotel.
La habitación era pequeña y olían un poco a humedad, pero estaba muy limpia.
Por el precio que pagamos, estuvo bien y le doy 3 estrellas.

Un poco básico en general, la habitación muy limpia pero anticuada, el baño genial, nuevo e inmaculado, el desayuno un poco justo( no hay tostador). Lo mejor de todo el personal de recepción y en particular la recepcionista de por la mañana.

Mau, horrível, do pior! As fotos iludem, o barulho é constante, até das máquinas exteriores do ar condicionado, que impedem que se durma.
Tivemos que vir embora ao início da noite, e apesar de ter mostrado gravações e vídeos do barulho que se ouvia no quarto, ainda nos obrigaram a pagar!
Dá para dar 0 estrelas?
Até durante a tarde havia barulhos de martelos e berbequins, ou seja, andavam em obras num sábado de tarde sem avisarem os clientes que queriam descansar.
A única coisa boa é a localização.
Aconselho outro hotel, este é demasiado mau até para 1 estrela, o pior onde alguma vez estive.

Albergo situato in zona centrale di Porto. La struttura si presenta in maniera poco brillante, risulta alquanto antiquata, con interni abbastanza vecchiotti dove sarebbe necessaria una bella rinfrescata. Il servizo è stato gentile e disponibile. La camera ha qualche punto critico (almeno quella da me prenotata), era ricavata in una camera ripostiglio dove aveva l'ingresso direttamente nella scala e aveva una porta tagliafuoco anziché una normale porta il che mi fa pensare che è stata ricavata successivamente. Il bagno era discreto. La pulizia era nella media ma si potrebbe fare di meglio. All'ultimo piano viene servita la colazione a buffet nulla di eccezionale ma ci si può accontentare tranquillamente. Per trascorrere 2/3 giorni Per visitare la città lo consiglio vivamente comodo sia per i mezzi( PUNTO FORTE) che per uscire. Se invece siete alla ricerca qualcosa di più romantico o particolare cercate altro. In complessiva lo consiglierei.

Mi estancia en éste hotel fué muy agradable.
Al llegar al hotel me recibió la recepcionista, que gracias a ella me facilitó toda la información turística de Oporto y fué amable conmigo en todo momento(El personal en general también).
La ubicación del hotel para mí es perfecta. Alrededor hay bastantes restaurantes muy buenos, tenía a 5min un supermercado(FROIZ), a 2min la plaza de la libertad(atraccion turística) y la boca de metro(ALIADOS) y a 9min la boca de metro(TRINDADE) todo a pie.
La habitación que me tocó era bastante amplia, tenía todas las herramientas básicas, cama muy cómoda y todo estaba limpio.
Lo que menos me ha gustado es que todo estaba un poco anticuado, el aire acondicionado que apenas daba calor(daba igual la temperatura que lo ponía), y sobre el cuarto de baño que como el aire no le llegaba el calor, hacía mucho frío.
El desayuno muy variado, muy rico y lo que más me ha gustado es la sala, que desde allí tendrás unas vistas increíbles. Volvería a alojarme y lo recomiendo!

En cuanto al hotel no podemos decir nada malo, muy bien situado, antiguo pero muy limpio y con casi todo las comodidades, digo casi todas pq cogimos lo.que llaman suit con su bañera y para mi sorpresa la bañera no tenia tapon, pero bueno esto es un mal menor, lo pongo para que lo solucionen.
En cuanto al personal muy amable y atento pero con una sugerencias e indicaciones poco acertadas.

An inexpensive hotel smack dab in the centre of Porto. Yes, it is a bit on the small side and yes, the amenities are limited but...
The staff at the reception was very polite, friendly and helpful with good recommendations. Breakfast is included and although simple; coffee, orange juice and some cereal or bread rolls are plenty. The rooms have a little TV and their own bathroom with a toilet and a nice strong shower. Everything properly cleaned. And on the check out date, it was no problem to leave my luggage for a bit as I explored downtown Porto some more.
The entire area there is filled with hotels but if you are going to be in Porto for a couple of days, you could do far worse than this place.

Look on booking site are impressive. However room are very ordinary. I was bit disappointed as picture on booking site does not match with decor. If you're spending reasonable money.. try to look else where. This is central located and easy to travel and explore

Trata-se de um hotel antigo, mas é super limpo, possui uma acústica fantástica, cama confortável e um café da manhã (pequeno almoço) excelente. E o melhor de tudo é a localização, que é bem no centro de Porto, próximo da grande maioria dos pontos turísticos e a 50m da estação aliados do metro.
Poderia ter estacionamento, foi a única coisa que senti falta.

Very unfriendly and unhelpful lreceptionist, didn't allow me to check in due to not having any ID with me - didn't accept CC as ID. As I don't live in the country, I forget to carry my ID with me at all times and left my passport at my sisters 4 hours away from Porto. This made my life very difficult as I was stranded in Porto in the evening, knowing no one, and with no public transport going south. They were completely unsympathetic towards a sole female traveller.

Não foi uma boa experiência. O hotel só tem de bom a localização. Café da manhã muito fraco. No 8° andar, mas o elevador só vai até o 7°. O pior de toda a viagem. Banheiro sem aquecimento. Cortina do banheiro imunda e manchada. Não justifica o preço cobrado. Pagamos a multa e mudamos de hotel 3 dias antes do fim da reserva.

Pysäköintitalo lähes kulman takana. Kaikki kaupat, ravintolat ja nähtävyydet kävelymatkan varrella. Alueella helppo kulkea kävellen ja autolla. Aamiaishuone loistavalla sijainnilla. Nous avons pris une chambre dite supérieure avec vue, trop cher pour la prestation proposée :
la vue donnait en effet sur un site d'intérêt mais ce dernier était en travaux et échafaudé.
la literie était de qualité médiocre
odeur de canalisation dans la chambre
wifi de mauvaise qualité
finition de la chambre vétuste.
je ne conseil pas cet établissement.
le seul point positif est son emplacement.

A small boutique style hotel in the heart of Porto. Everything is a short walk from this hotel. During our stay the staff was most helpful and offered useful suggestions of the local sites. Being a budget hotel, one drawback was that the breakfast had no gluten-free bread offerings. Another issue is the building renovation across the street may be an issue if you plan to sleep in.

Localização ótima e atendimento muito bom, os funcionários são todos muito atenciosos. O Hotel, porém, deixa a desejar na limpeza. O quarto em que ficamos era pequeno e com pouca ventilação. A televisão fica num canto do quarto, completamente fora de esquadro. Wi-fi péssimo. Café da manhã com pouca variedade porém aceitável, exceto o café e o leite que estão sempre frios. Enfim, precisa melhorar em muitos aspectos.

Lo único bueno del hotel es la ubicación. En cuanto a la decoración, es un hotel tirando a antiguo. El baño era lo único más reciente. Si coges con desayuno como hicimos nosotros,no esperes gran variedad en el buffet. En general,si buscas estar cerca de todo bien,pero demasiado caro.

Un hotel casi perfecto. Buena ubicación - céntrica, al lado del metro y muchos restaurantes, y a la vez un lugar tranquilo. Hotel bonito y bien equipado, moderno y limpio. El desayuno que viene incluido en el precio es buenísimo. El único problema fue un atasco en el desagüe del lavado en nuestra habitación que no consiguieron reparar durante nuestra estancia.

Vera Cruz was a very cozy little hotel. It's a small hotel, and an old fashioned one at that, considering it has keys (with a big tag that states the room number), not cards. ;)
Very clean and tidy, with extremely courteous staff, be it at the reception, or the housekeeping staff or even the sweet young lady in charge of the breakfast. Limited variety at breakfast. But good enough for you to have a good fill.

Nous logions à l’hôtel Vera Cruz Porto downton pour 4 jours. Hôtel sympa, propre , calme, central près Hôtel de Ville et métro à 2 pas . Personnel compétent, sympathique et d’une grande disponibilité. Parlant français. Petit déjeuner copieux. Je pense revenir à Porto , belle ville historique.

Estão todos de parabéns, atendimento excelente, a recepção atendimento extraordinário totalmente gentis, os garçons sempre muito atenciosos, todos muito prestativos, super educados, todos com um sorriso no rosto cumprimentando e perguntando se precisamos de algo... Ficamos encantados com o atendimento de todos, café matinal com muitas opções, cada uma melhor que a outra é até difícil escolher rsrs.
Tudo bem conservado, decoração bem criativa, limpeza excelente, ambiente muito agradável.
Só gratidão e admiração por toda equipe do hotel Vera Cruz, tudo bom. Pretendemos voltar assim que tivermos férias .

Tive problemas graves tanto na reserva do quarto e quanto na cobrança das diárias. A atendente, apesar de simpática , não parcelou em três vezes como pedi no cartão. Os quartos são pequenos e o hotel, bastante velho. O cheiro de mofo é grande. O café da manhã é justo. A localização é excelente. Mas não vale o preço. Precisa melhorar muito.

Hotel situado en el corazón de Oporto, al lado del Ayuntamiento. Está situado en la calle Rúa de Ramalho Ortigaõ que da a la Avenida dos Aliados, cerca de la estación Saõ Bento i de la torre de los Clérigos. Hotel bien situado, bien atendido. Con un personal muy profesional, también atento. Habitación con buenas vistas, amplia y limpia. Buen servicio de habitaciones. Los desayunos se hacen en la última planta, sin pretensiones, aunque bien. Desde el comedor se divisan vistas muy amplias de Oporto. Precio asequible.

Estou por aqui ainda....Gostei muito. Perto de tudo: metrô, trem, principais pontos turísticos, café da manha muito bom, recepção gentil!!!, banheiro e quarto limpo Tudo o que precisava!!!!

Our room was extremely noisy, there was construction going on until very late at night in the adjacent building so we could not sleep well any night that we were there. We told the staff and they said an upstairs room would be quieter but did not offer us any other options. We wished there was a gym on site. The breakfast was great, but we would have really appreciated boiled eggs. Having almond milk available for the coffee was great. I’m not sure why the upstairs room with a view was closed off most of the day except for breakfast and late night drinking. It would have been nice to use, since there is nowhere else to sit except for the bedrooms. The location is great. The bed in our room was very comfortable. The room was stocked with shampoo and soap, no conditioner.

Uno de los mejores hoteles de todo Oporto y os va gustar os atienden muy bien y tiene muy buen precio. Os lo recomiendo y encima esta en el centro de Oporto.

Es muy muy céntrico, justo al lado del Ayuntamiento. Todo está a un paso. Es un hotel pequeño, acogedor y con personalidad, perfecto para una escapada a Oporto. La atención del personal es excepcional. Las habitaciones son sencillas y con un mobiliario un poco antiguo, pero con buenos colchones y limpieza de 10. El baño es completo e impecable, dispone de secador. No dispone de persianas pero hay unas gruesas cortinas que no dejan pasar nada de luz. Tiene climatización, televisor y minibar, además dispone de wifi. Las vistas desde la habitación son al ayuntamiento y plaza de la Liberdade. Tiene una magnifica terraza en el último piso, donde tomar algo por la noche. Los desayunos son completos, bollitos de pan fresco de varios tipos, fiambre, mantequilla, mermeladas, croisant y bolleria, fruta fresca, cereales, cafe, leche, infusiones, etc. Se sirve en el último piso donde puedes disfrutarlo en una acogedora sala o en la terraza disfrutando de las vistas. Dispone de servicio de desayunos en la habitación tambièn. Resumen: muy céntrico, sencillo pero limpieza de diez, camas cómodas y 0 ruídos de la calle, personal excelente. De 10 para una escapada. Muy muy recomendable.

Un hotel con un emplazamiento ideal para disfrutar de unos paseos por la ciudad. El servicio de recepción es excepcional en amabilidad y eficiencia al igual que el de limpieza. Sin olvidar que es un hotel de 2 estrellas las habitaciones y el desayuno son correctas con las comodidades que podemos necesitar para un buena estancia.

Nice, small hotel in a great location. I got accidentally booked into this hotel (long story) and was at first wary of the quality of the accommodation since the front desk looks a bit aged. The hotel itself is very compact but has good, ample rooms with modern amenities. The best attraction by far is the rooftop café/dining room. You get a very nice view from there while having breakfast with the sunrise or some drinks at night surrounded by the city lights. All in all, it offers nice value for the price and I would recommend it if you're staying for a couple of days and want to be close to Porto's city center.

This hotel is incredibly convenient for the Aliados Metro station and the Sao Bento railway and is in the centre of a very interesting area for travellers with many bars and restaurants close by. I should really be able to give 4.5 stars because some of the smaller rooms are expensive but the bigger rooms are worth the money. It is a two star hotel with breakfast served on the top floor with a terrace overlooking the square.

I booked a room for three people. When I got the room I saw that there is a double bed and a small sofa that fits a child's dimensions. (Up to 5 ft.). I was very disappointed with it because I got a double bed and a couch for three people anyway and not a couple and a child. Besides, the parking thing is misleading here - on the Booking site it is listed that parking is available at this hotel but it is a trade agreement with this hotel with outdoor parking which has to pay 25 euros for each night. One thing that spoiled the hotel's arrival experience was finding our car parking. The great advantages of the hotel are its location - very central and the breakfast which was good and located on the roof of the hotel. I will not recommend this hotel unfortunately and warn you not to approach it.

Hôtel est parfaitement situé dans le centre idéal de Porto,auX pieds de la mairie,de nombreuses stations de métro et bus,et surtout à qqs pas de la Baixa.L,accueil du personnel est Chaleureux,la propreté bien.Les seuls bémols pour moi restent l,insonorisation-tout le mobilier dans l,hôtel est massif Sauf les portes des chambres.La mienne laissait pénétrer lumière et surtout le moinde bruit des voisins;la chambre que j,avais réservée,certes économique pour 1 personne était extrêmement sombre,donnant sur cour et la vue des climatisation des immeubles environnant.Le lit était confortable et la salle de bain ok.Le petit déjeuner totalement identique tous les jours.Bon,mais pas vraiment bcp de choix et le café n,est pas terrible.

I can only say positive comments about this hotel and staff. We stayed here for 1 week. Our room was big, clean and quiet. The staff was wonderful. They helped us with information about things to do in Porto and they were very nice. The continental breakfast was included too. Thank you Filipa and the rest of the staff at Vera Cruz Hotel. Em 4 dias, dois sem água quente, um nem água tinha. Dois sem internet; em todos os dias ruídos de todos os tipos de todos os lados.
Desconfortos que nem a enorme boa vontade e simpatia dos colaboradores (especialmente Filipa e Rita) conseguiram minimizar. Pêssego em calda é a única fruta no café.
A localização é boa.

El hotel está bien ubicado, a unos 10 minutos de la estación de trenes San Benito donde puedes tomar el tren directo a Braga, Guimaraes o Aveiro; de igual manera está cerca de la Catedral y a unos 15 minutos andando al puente Luis I. Cerca encontrarás restaurantes y supermercados.La habitación no fue quizá la mejor debido a la humedad quizá porque no recibe luz desde la pequeña ventana que tiene. Sin embargo la cama es cómoda y el baño y ducha estaban limpios.El desayuno es regular, sus panes son muy buenos(cruasanes portugueses) y alguna selección de charcutería, quesos, mermeladas y frutas de lata. Café y zumo de concentrado también. Quizá se agradecería que incluyeran algo de comida caliente como huevos y/o tocino.El staff del hotel es de lo más agradable, tuvimos la oportunidad de ser atendidos por 3 personas diferentes en recepción y todos fueron muy amables y siempre dispuestos a ayudarte; la chica que está en las mañanas recibiendo huéspedes hablaba 4 idiomas, algo bastante necesario para una ciudad turística, además, uno de los días que estuvimos falló el internet y nos explicó las causas(ajenas al hotel) y en cuanto el servicio se reestableció tuvo la atención de preguntar si ya habíamos podido conectarnos al Wifi.

También dispone d aire y calefaccion.dispone de un pequeño comedor donde se sirve un desayuno muy correcto.Excelente amabilidad de sus trabajadores.Buena limpieza. En los alrededores hay diferentes sitios para comer tapear o tomar una copa y. A Pesar de esto está en una calle tranquila. Totalmente recomendable

Great hotel in fantastic central location and great value for money. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, and all spoke perfect English which was very handy as we had absolutely no Portugese. Help yourself, continental breakfast included, with plenty of choice and nice restaurant location on roof top with views over main square. Booked a standard double, room fairly small and bathroom compact but no complaints, both very clean, clean bedding and good shower. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend if youre planning a few days in Porto.

Cuidado con este hotel, yo reservé por booking y pagué por la pagina, y cuando me iba del hotel al día siguiente me obligaron a pagar de nuevo, diciendome que no estaba pagado. Y al final les hice caso y les pagué. Y resulta que si me que habían cobrado antes, y al final me cobraron dos veces.
Yo soy de España y al día siguiente ya me volvía para casa. Y cuando me enteré de todo esto les llamé por teléfono, y no me hicieron caso y me pasaron de mi. Tuve que hacer muchas llamadas a mi banco para conseguir que me devolviesen el dinero. Escribi muchos correos al Hotel y no me contestaron a ninguno.
Finalmente recuperé mi dinero, pero pasando más de un mes.
Y por otro lado, el hotel no tiene parking y para aparcar es muy dificil porque todo es zona azul.

The good: The hotel is cheap, reasonably good size and very centrally placed. The room is well cleaned. The view from the breakfast restaurant is very good. The people are friendly.
The bad: The bathroom was newly renovated and everything was nice and new, however they didn’t fix the air circulation so there was already mould on the ceiling and the bathroom door couldn’t close as the door had sucked water. And don’t stay on the 7th floor as you will be awoken by the breakfast just upstairs and possibly kept awake by the bar activity. The mattress was new, but had a waterproof sheet on top, which made it feel like sleeping on plastic and was very noisy sleeping on, but at least you know it is clean.
All in all: you get a lot for your money with locations especially as we got it on special offer for 25€ per night. I wouldn’t be against using it again but I might try to first check some other places.

The room's furniture and decor is very dated, and felt stuffy and humid. It was also very small, mainly due to the space distribution between bedroom and bathroom. This hotel needs renovation. We stayed just one night per our travel schedule. However, I will not consider staying in this hotel again in the future.

it's cheap, near the center and the Wi-fi works.
The breakfast is horrible, however. Just take the room and eat breakfast outside.

Dunkel, altmodisch und spartanisch eingerichtetes Zimmer im ersten Stock hatte praktisch kein Fenster, lediglich zwei "Kellerfenster".Für eine Nacht machbar, mit 89.- Euro für dieses Zimmer überteuert.Das kleine Bad, sehr sauber, aber extrem schmaler Duscheinstieg für etwas beleibtere Personen nicht zu benutzen.Die Terrasse mit schönem Blick über Porto sehr schmal, Tische nur für 2 Personen.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Balkon gebucht, haben eine Suite bekommen, mit winzigem, komplett mit Plexisglas geschlossenen Balkon und Blick in den mehr als schäbigen Hinterhof. Das Zimmer war sehr dunkel. Das Bad war renoviert und o.k. Frühstück war immer mit den gleichen Dingen bestückt. Die Lage des Hotels ist top.

Es wäre gut zu wissen, dass es die standard zimmer, entweder mit dusche oder mit badewanne gibt.pech für uns, dass wir mit dusche gebucht hatten, welches im vergleich zu den wannen-zimmern extrem klein war.Ansonsten ist dieses haus nur zu empfehlen, da das preis-leistungsverhältnis stimmt und gelegen ist es auch sehr günstig.Lob für den frühstücksraum, sowie das reichhaltige buffet.

Vera Cruz ligt mooi centraal in het centrum van Porto, de kamer die we hadden aan de achterzijde was mooi rustig en had tv en airco.
Ontbijt voor 2 sterren was zeer goed, personeel aan de receptie was super behulpzaam en vriendelijk.
Enigste min punt was de hygiëne, de badkamer zeer vochtig door de slechte ventilatie en daardoor schimmel, de kamer zelf ging wel.

Room was small but very comfortable. Bathroom was good. The sliding doors on the shower made for a very tight entry. Would recommend. Fantastic location, very central. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and with wonderful views of city.

We hired a car during this visit, this hotel doesn't have parking space, so on street parking was bit tricky luckily we were lucky for the first two nights we got free spot but waking up to find some cars double parked blocking us from getting out. Last night stay we had to pay €12 for 24 hr parking so if we weren't lucky before the cost of parking wouldn't make the stay worth it's while, would rather pay €12 a night more to get private parking and more comfortable bed. But location is spot on, right in the center, if you don't hire a car then it's a good choice to stay if you don't mind a bed that make you feel like as if you were sleeping on the floor so hard and little dodgy with the blanket, it's not even a duvet, it was some sort of a rug??
Friendly staff helped recommending us where to go what to visit.
Overall not so bad.

中心地にあり、朝食会場が最上階で見晴らしがよいので宿泊したが、この時期は雨が多く、夜明けも遅いので期待が裏切られた。また、部屋はスーツケースを広げるスペースがないほど狭く、ダブルベッドが中央にあるだけ。もちろん、シャワーのみ。浴室の備品も最低限のみ。朝食も温かいも料理は1つもなく、残念。1泊だけにしておいて良かった。ただ、地下鉄駅に歩いて1分と近く、また、国鉄ポルトカンパニャン駅も徒歩圏内。値段相応と言うことか？

J'ai été trompé par les photos car en dehors de l'emplacement qui est vraiment idéal, la chambre que j'occupais était petite et sale. Les drap tachés et troués et surtout l'insonorisation des chambres est déplorable. J'ai entendu couler l'eau a chaque fois que quelqu'un ouvrait un robinet ou allait au toilettes. La chambre qu'il y a en photo doit être unique et je n'ai pas eu la chance de l'avoir...

Im Hotel Vera Cruz ist man jederzeit herzlich und freundlich betreut. Die Zimmer sind einfach aber vollkommen ausreichend für einen kurzen Städteurlaub von einigen Tagen. Die Lage ist einfach herrlich - man ist schnell in allen Stadtteilen - zahllose Bars, Cafes, Restaurants und Geschäfte, Galerien etc. sind fußläufig in direkter Umgebung zu erreichen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Das Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse od. ein Bier am Abend mit Blick über die Stadt ist fantastisch. Taxis und Busse halten quasi vor der Haustür, ebenso die U-Bahn die bis zum Flughafen fährt. Eine rundum gute Wahl. Die Zimmer zur Stasse sind natürlich rel. laut - der Verkehr ist von 8 h - 22 h rel. stark zu hören - wir haben uns ganz simpel mit Oropax beholfen und geschlafen wie die Bären... :-))

die Lage ist das Beste an dem Hotel, da sehr zentral. Leider ist es daher auch sehr laut; zumal die Zimmer sehr hellhörig sind. Das Frühstück verdient seine Bezeichnung leider gar nicht.

Very friendly. excellent location (be advised that there is another street with the same name nearby. Search for the one in Porto, not in Gaia) breakfast is very limited, but the view from the restaurant is marvelous.)

We stayed several days and enjoyed the close proximity to a shopping mall, train station and Porto cathedral. The rooms are clean, well serviced and ours had a balcony to admire the view of the main road which was amazingly quiet. The hotel staff are friendly and the breakfast on the rooftop exceptionally good fun. The chef's homemade chocolate biscuits are wonderfully good and everyone appeared to enjoy their meal.

- Staff & service: very friendly- Location: 30 seconds from metro station Aliados (only the yellow line)- Breakfast: no scrambled eggs / bacon, but still OK- Room: very old furniture, a bit too small (+- 14 sqm), but clean.- Price: reasonable for ***-class hotel- Internet: doesnt work very well if your room isnt enough close to the next WiFi routerConclusion: Its rather a **-hotel due to the old furniture & room size, but this hotel provides great staffs service with a reasonable price in good location.

The hotel does not look like the photos. The loication is very good, but it is an old hotel, there i´s not a lot of options in tyhe breakfast.

2泊したが、初日の夜、お湯が出ず、フロントに確認した。メンテナンスの人が対応したが(自分の初動から既に1h30位経過)、お湯がでるまで修理後さらに２時間かかるとのことで、初日はシャワー浴びることを断念した。また、同じく、初日の夜、自分の泊まった階のみ？停電発生し、２時間近く復旧せず。チェックイン時はなかなかいいホテルだと思っていただけに、残念なことであった。部屋はカーペット敷きだが窓際が汚れており、もう少し清潔にすべきと思った。洗面所の排水も悪い。ＡＣがあり、ヒータとしてつけたが、あまり暖かくならず、真冬はきついかもしれない。広さはまあまあ広く、ﾊﾞｽﾙｰﾑもﾊﾞｽﾀﾌﾞやﾄﾞﾗｲﾔｰあり、清潔。スタッフもとても親切で７階の部屋をキープしてくれていた。

The photos of this hotel looked very nice on the Internet, yet when we arrived we were immediately disappointed. The room was dirty. There was hair in the bathroom, mold in the shower. We refused to shower and checked out the next day. The room was small, dark, gross. I would not recommend this hotel.

An absolutely unbeatable location in Porto city centre.
On top of a metro station and 5 mins walk from Sao Bento main train station. 10 min walk from the Ribiera and heart of old Porto.
Breakfast on the 8th floor balcony with a city view is a great way to start the day.
Some rooms have balconies overlooking the square, but not all rooms have great views - we looked onto walls and pipes, but the room was for sleeping so no big problem.
One problem was no double beds, singles pushed together only.
Overall, I'd recommend this hotel for a city break etc. as a base, the location is incredible, and very easy to find by car.
