The hotel is old and doesn’t have the qualities to be 5 stars. I would say between 3-4 stars is fair. Breakfast is below average for 5 star hotels. The coffee tastes bad and the low variety of food. The pool was rusty and not clean. There was no food or drinks service at the pool, you have to go inside and ask the receptionist to order.

Hotel ist attraktiv und sauber. Es ist sehr abgelegen und hat leider nur eine Essens-Möglichkeit. Es ist etwas unzugänglich von Porto kommend und liegt inmitten von ziemlich heruntergekommenen Häusern und Strassen. Die Zimmer bedürfen Reparatur was gemeldet wurde aber immer nicht vollzogen nach 6 Tagen. Unterhaltungsprogramm ist karg und am Wochenende schlecht. Menü im Restaurant ist sehr limitiert und nicht vergleichbar mit einem 5 Sterne Hotel. Bar Personal ist ziemlich unerfahren und hat nicht alles was man braucht für einen erfolgreichen Abend

Sehr schönes und luxuriöses Hotel direkt am Strand. Frühstück war hervorragend. Zimmer sauber und konvmfortabel. Lediglich der Balkon war etwas eintönig und klein....braucj man jedoch auch nicht. Gesamtresultat: Kann ich nur weiter empfehlen.

Für ein 5-Sterne-Haus nach portugiesischen Verhältnisse haben wir ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis vorgefunden (wohlgemerkt zum Vorsaison-Tarif). Kleine Ärgernisse trüben diesen guten Allgemeineindruck wieder. So wurde angemahnt, keine Kleinwäsche auf dem Balkon zum Trocknen aufzuhängen. Man möge sich doch der (teuren!) Hotelwäscherei bedienen! Auch ist man genötigt, wenn man den Hotelpool nutzen will, eine Badekappe zu tragen, die vor Ort mit 4 Euro pro Person verkauft werden. Nur Kleinigkeiten, aber für uns einfach ärgerlich.

Very enjoyable conference in a nice hotel, plenty of restaurants nearby specialising in fish. What was an additional bonus was that the bar was reasonably priced too.

Point fort:
Propreté dans tout l hotel. Salle de sport complète. Spa.chambre top.acces privé à la plage.petit déjeuner copieux (mais cher ).
Points négatifs :
Rideau en toile dans la baignoire.
Personnel au vestiaire spa occupé plus par leur téléphone que par vos besoins.ils vous font sentir que vous les dérangez quand vous leur demandez serviette ou clé de casier. Dommage .

Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, feines Restaurant - zwar nicht die Riesenauswahl, aber dafür qualitativ exzellent. Besonders das Freitagsbuffet verdient besonderes Lob!Das man im Hallenbad Badekappen benötigt (kosten 4 Euro) ist in unseren Breiten eigentlich schon lange obsolet, aber was will man machen. Übrigens Meerwasserpool und nur getrennte Sauna!Alles in allem eines der besten Hotels, die wir bislang besucht haben, gerne und jederzeit wieder!

Um serviço muito bem organizado, a comida bem feita e entregue em tempo, apesar do grande número de pessoas , vinhos de qualidade á descrição, apenas a escolha do conjunto podia ser melhor.
Durante toda a estadia a simpatia e solicitude dos funcionários continua a ser impecável. O preço .... mas é o Solverde.

Hotel is super old, they got absolutely stuck in time, don't recommend it at all. If you're excited about going to the saunas and baths...forget it, they don't work and all smell very badly.
Breakfast has some fruit and stuff but nothing special, no quality at all, there were fruit flies all over!
Very very disappointing and not worth the price.

Ganz gut hier. Aber die 5 Sterne waren mal in den 70ern. Dennoch sauber und zuvorkommendes Personal. Sehr nah am Strand gelegen. Das Frühstück ist nur zu empfehlen. Sehr grosse Auswahl. Einen wirklich grossen Parkplatz gibt es hier auch.

Très bon hôtel, personnel aux petits soins pour les clients. Belles chambres spacieuses. La salle de bains mériterait une petite rénovation (la porte glissante qui sépare les wc ne fonctionne plus très bien et est trop lourde, une grande douche serait plus pratique...) L'espace fitness est très bien ainsi que l'espace sauna, hammam, piscine.

no se puede pedir más a un hotel. el spa está de lujo,con sauna,piscina, hamman ,baño turco,etc etc (sin pago adicional). Hemos usado tb el servicio de habitaciones,han tardado un poco pero no nos ha importado. La habitación tiene bañera y vistas al mar.

We had a great 8-day stay at this hotel. The breakfast is good. We stayed in October, but the outdoor pool was heated to 28c. The beach they are on is also peaceful and doesnt seem it would ever be too busy. The restaurant for dinner isnt a good value compared to how prices go in Portugal however, not a big surprise though.

We stayed at Solverde for 4 nights. The outdoor swimming pool was heated so we managed to swim in late October. We played mini golf, pool and chess for free of charge. They gave us towel vouchers that could be exchanged to beach towels. Wearing a swimming cap in the indoor swimming pool was mandatory. We only used the outdoor swimming pool. They gave us free Porto wine vouchers for two adults. When we had the wine, the nice lady at the bar gave us a free drink for our child. The location is 15-20 mins walk from Granja station. We walked on the busy road for the first few journeys then discovered a nice route on the beach. They provide free shuttle services to Porto or Espinho twice a day with max 8 passengers so better to book in advance. Not much restaurant choices around the hotel. We tried few restaurants around Granja station. We took a taxi to Espinho (6 Euro per journey) and train to Porto for dinner too. Good breakfast buffet but the selection of food did not change over 4 days.

AVOID THIS PLACE . it is not a 5 star hotel and is not at the beach. They have access to a wild beach full of stone and there is not any restaurant or things to do near by. The closest place is espinho about 5 € by Uber or 10 14 € by local taxi (they charge you 2 way but you traveling 1 way) 25-30 min walk but is not much restaurant there to.
The cleaner of room is poor lots of dust and they don't vacum my room 1 time in 6 nights
Is a bad smell of algae from the beach outside the hotel.
The good part is they have a good breakfast and the outside swimming pool plus the inside suna.
The list with poor customer service is long
So from my 6 night at this hotel I tell you guys AVOID . IS NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL

Padel bem equipado, manutenção uns furos abaixo do que um 5 estrelas exige. Espaços ajardinados exteriores no acesso aos courts requer reforma. A quadra de padel está orientada a nascente/poente. É praticamente impossível jogar em boas condições durante a manhã ou final de tarde.

Lo peor que te exijan el pago completo de la estancia a la llegada. Hotel muy por debajo de las 5* muy antiguo y con importantes necesidades de reforma. Terraza habitación muy sucia. Contratamos habitación superior y pedimos planta más alta, nos alojaron en habitación primera planta justo encima techo del comedor. Reclamamos con nula respuesta. Desayunos muy masificados con tardanza en la reposición de lo agotado.

Hotel bueno pero no para las estrellas que tiene...le faltan detalles para las 5 estrellas (por ejemplo cafetera o hervidor para infusiones en la habitación). Las piscinas son maravillosas y el paseo por la zona de playa en una plataforma de madera es muy agradable. El restaurante de verano no es nada del otro mundo pero salva bastante bien la situación. Las habitaciones son las que están algo anticuadas. El servicio no es especialmente agradable.

Very nice place. Older hotel but beautiful ammenities. Location is 20 minutes ride from Porto which is heaven..We rented a car, so location was not a problem for us, visiting different places every day. Outdoor pool with a lot of space for everyone, spacious indoor pool and gym. I had a massage session in Spa with Alberta, and she is amazing. Rooms are clean and spacious, with balcony and ours had an ocean view..Nice walking path by the ocean, tennis and mini golf course. As for the food, variety of choices for breakfast, and lunch buffet by the pool was stunning with variety of fresh fish, meet and pretty much everything you can imagine! Service was ok, bit I would expect a little bit more kindness from a 5 star hotel employees. That is one small downside, everything else was perfect! Loved it and would definitely go back.

This is a very nice but quite old hotel. It has all amenities you would expect from a five star hotel but the rooms are quite dated, although nice. TV in the room is very small and has a very bad reception (cable). Hotel has its own access to the beach although you need to walk a little bit further to come to the part where there are no rocks and where you can swim. Outdoor pool is great and is surrounded by grass. Pool buffet food was very delicious, fresh from the barbique. The staff was friendly and the check-in was super quick. Please have in mind that this is a pretty isolated hotel and that you will probably need transportation if you want to travel anywhere.

Stay away from this horror house. An absolutely horrible experience at this hotel! The air conditioning in the entire hotel didn’t work throughout my stay. We had to sleep with the balcony door closed as well; because the guest next to us was a chain smoker. When we requested some a price adjustment or discount for our horrible time here at this hotel. They abruptly denied us and were completely indifferent to our complaints. Horrendous customer service. They merit this review. I uploaded a pic of an email response confirming that the AC didn’t work during our stay.

In die Jahre gekommenes Hotel, allerdings noch immer alles funktionstüchtig. Spa und Schwimmbad ganz toll, der Strand liegt gleich nebenan, ist aber eher nicht zum Schwimmen geeignet. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, da kommt man gerne wieder! Negativ leider das Essen: Ob Frühstück, Buffet oder Menü, es ist einfach nicht gut ☹️

This is a huge hotel with spa (I was not there) and pools (I did not swim, the weather was not so hot) which I could see from my room, and yes from my room also I could listen a charming sound of the surf (mostly in everything) and see the Atlantic ocean. They're parking, free WiFi but weak a bit and all was good with breakfast and staff.

Hotel muito bom. A piscina exterior aquecida é incrível, muito espaçosa quer dentro de água quer à volta da mesma. Por dentro há um ou outro pormenor do hotel que já acusa a idade mas nada de grave. O conforto dos quartos é muito bom. O staff do hotel é muito prestável. Junto à receção costuma haver, em alguns, dias animação. É muito fácil estacionar o carro. O acesso privativo à praia é muito bom mesmo.

Excelente hotel junto a la playa con todas las instalaciones para disfrutar de unos días de descanso, reuniones de trabajo o bodas, comuniones o bautizos. Habitación muy amplia con todas las comodidades. Desayuno y cena excelente. Personal muy amable y servicial. A unos 20km de Oporto y 40 del aeropuerto. Amplísimo parking. Muy bien.

Hotel de 5 estrelas, excepcional.
Sou cliente à vários anos, mas esta foi a minha última estadia neste hotel.
Como digo, sou cliente à vários anos, e nesta última estadia exigiram-me pagamento adiantado, (devo ter cara de ladrão, ou ultimamente lidam com ladrões), numca tal me foi exigido, e numca fiquei a dever nada ao hotel nem à família violas.
Passa assim a ficar ao nível dos moteis e residenciais de rua.
Mesmo assim, recomendo a quem não se importe com tal tratamento.

Un hotel spa de 5 estrellas, por categoría, debería tener acceso gratuito al spa para sus clientes y no ser de pago.
La piscina, muy poble, temperatura del agua baja, no tiene chorros. Decepcionante.
La habitación, inaudito, sin frigorífico.
Este hotel no merece las 5 estrellas que ostenta.
En España tendría un nivel de 3 estrellas.

Pequeno almoço bom mas aconselho que se chegue cedo, a partir das 10h já faltam alguns alimentos e a reposição já não é a melhor, perto das 10.30h já só pedindo é que servem, seria um ponto a ser visto pelo hotel.
Não atribui 5 estrelas pela razão do pequeno-almoço e pelo spa, temos acesso á piscina, banho-turco e sauna mas não ao jacuzzi, teria que ser pago á parte!!!!
Resumindo muito bom mas poderia ser melhor para um 5 estrelas.

Positivo: toallas limpias todos los días, tienen buen internet y la comida no está mal. El spa está bien y la piscina de afuera aclimatizada va bien para los vientos fríos y fuertes que vienen de la playa.
Negativo: me hice un masaje muy costoso que incluía limpieza facial porque me lo recomendo la chica del spa, una experiencia terrible , la masajista ni siquiera tenía tapa bocas, ni guantes con una luz a medias. No le dan a los trabajadores el mínimo equipo para realizar el trabajo y al informar de la situación la persona encargada se justifica diciendo que es una técnica nueva que aprendieron en estados unidos. habitaciones pequeñas, baños con moho, mini golf lleno de maleza el desayuno es bueno pero todos los días exactamente lo mismo al tercer día ya estás aburrido de comer lo mismo. El personal en su mayoría amable . La playa no se presta para bañarse el viento frío y las olas son muy fuertes. Solo había una tomacorriente en toda la habitación para cargar nuestros dispositivos electrónicos.

We asked the reception to arrange a taxi for three persons with each one big suitcase. They arranged with a private car, driven by an old man ( probably someone's grandpa that they gave an easy job to get some money), one suitcase did not fit into the trunk so it had to go in front and the three of us had to squeeze in the back seat... The car did not have a meter. The driver simply told us it would cost 50€. And finally he did not accept credit card, only cash. I did not expect this from a 5 star hotel

As it was the end of the season some of the decor and equipment showed signs of tiredness but that would only be expected in October. We preferred to eat out so cannot really rate the restaurant but breakfasts were varied and copious.We would have liked to have had tea and coffee making facilities in the room for that early morning cuppa.The gym and pools, which we used every day, were great and the walk to the highly dramatic beach was convenient.

Worst hotel I have been to in years. Staff is arrogant and seems annoyed by the guests. The pools and spa area lacks hygiene. Food is expensive and really little to choose from. Spare yourself the 500 Euros for this nightmare.

Visitei no contexto de um voucher para o spa adquirido num parceiro. Boa limpeza, boas instalações, sendo que a água do 'jacuzzi' ou como preferem chamar sala de hidromassagem estava um pouco fria. Gostei das duas salas de relaxamento, gostei igualmente do chá servido nas mesmas pecando apenas novamente por estar.. frio. No contexto geral sauna, banho turco e piscinas em ótimas condições.

Property has a nice pool area. The beach area is rocky. The costumer service was horrible, checking in the staff was incredibly rude and there were hidden fees for everything. Not accommodating, got a room meant for people with disabilities with no shower or bathtub. Had to request a new room, was told to wait. The hotel is far from a 5 star hotel maybe in the 70s but most definitely not in his century. Also beware you will be isolated from everything if you don’t have a car all restaurants, cafes are 20-30 mins walk.

Stood at reception waiting for assistance whilst the guy was cashing up.
I was wearing shorts and t-shirt because it was hot. A guy walks into the building in a suit, gets served immediately.
Talk about judging a book by their cover....
The surrounding area is a bit of a dive and they had a massive clock out the back that was broken. I'd say go into town if you want something special.

El hotel está en mitad de ninguna parte, lo que puede llegar a ser bueno si quieres desconectar y dar paseos por la playa, pero para llegar a ella hay que atravesar la via del tren por pasos subterráneos, uno de ellos exclusivo del hotel. Las habitaciones son grandes y con terraza, aunque el concepto de vistas al mar es un poco relativo y en nuestra habitación básicamente se veía el ala central del edificio y las obras de reacondicionamiento que estaban haciendo debajo y a lo lejos ya se veía algo la playa. El desayuno en hora punta resultaba un poco agobiante y a veces costaba un buen rato conseguir que te sirvieran un café. Es un hotel familiar por lo que nos resultó excesivamente ruidoso para una escapada en pareja. A veces parecía que los padres dejaban solos a los niños en la habitación por las noches y se pasaban el tiempo saltando y gritando sin que nadie les dijera nada.

Grand confort, chambre très spacieuses, piscine interne et externe chauffées eau de mer. (n'oubliez pas votre maillot de baignade car le "sac plastique" qui fera office de maillot vous sera vendu 10 euros...j'ai pense qu'il s'agissait d’usage unique...mais non.
petite terrasse pour les chambres avec vue front de mer...très agréable. Pour aller directement à la plage, il vous faudra traverser une voie de chemin de fer "fréquentée"...par le passage des trains, évidement. Les prix sont à la hauteur.

Ontbijt prima, restaurant ruikt naar een gaarkeuken. Buiten eten s’avonds niet mogelijk. Ongezellig hotel, groot, onpersoonlijk, wel fietsen, maar erg oud. Zwembad is een soepje. Je kunt wel naar het strand maar er zijn geen bedjes wat je voor deze prijs wel mag verwachten. Bij afrekenen vragen ze ook niet hoe was uw verblijf!

We spent two days here over May / June. Although the hotel looks a little dated from the outside it is incredibly well looked after and spotlessly clean. The facilities justify the 5 star rating and the spa is incredible. Perfect for our family (girls 8 and 10) - both swimming pools are well heated and great steam / sauna and gym for adults. Would recommend and would happily return - decent value for money with a good quality buffet breakfast.

Es un hotel grande y confortable. Las zonas comunes son grandes , la piscina está cuidada y de buen tamaño las saunas muy bien limpias y cuidadas. El spa no es muy grande pero las salas genial y sobre todo el personal es estupendo.Todo el personal tanto del hotel como del spa son amables , serviciales y dispuestos a ayudarte en todo lo q necesites.Lo q menos me ha llamado la atención es el desayuno está bien pero creo q no corresponde para un hotel de cinco estrellas, pero sigo diciendo q los camareros genial. Lhôtel est très bien à tout point de vue, le personnel est au petits soins pour la clientèle et très serviable.Le restaurant de lhôtel est dun très bon rapport qualité prix, le petit déjeuner est aussi dune grande qualité et diversité.Si javais 3 petites choses à suggérer : préciser que le SPA ne signifie pas jacuzzi mais institut de beauté, que le port du bonnet de bain est obligatoire dans la piscine.Et surtout avec les jours qui rallongent si la navette gratuite qui amène jusquà Porto départ 10h retour 17h ( qui est déjà fort appréciable) pouvait proposer un retour à 18h/18h30 cela serait parfait.

The hospitality is A+. The food was delicious and very reasonable. The spa treatments were Awesome!! They even have disposable swim suits available for purchase! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will do so again if we are in the area. The rooms are nice size amd the bed was very comfy ( the room furmiture was slightly dated)

Сам отель очень неплохой. Есть закрытый и открытый бассейны. Просторные чистые номера. Но совсем непонятная история с розетками - они спрятаны за тумбочки, которые ОЧЕНЬ трудно отодвинуть от стены. Оттуда вываливаются какие-то разветвители и номер приобретает крайне неряшливый вид. Завтраки великолепные! Океан находится по другую сторону железной дороги, по которой иногда проезжают поезда. Дорогу надо переходить по подземному переходу. И попадаешь на дюны необыкновенной красоты!!! пляж шикарный!!! Мы были в августе. Был очень сильный ветер, ледяной океан и частые туманы. Но все это невероятно живописно!! Недалеко от отеля супермаркет и заправка. Но вообще место совершенно глухое.

Hotel Solverde is amazing. 5-star hotel at a great price. Its location in Espinho is not too far from the city centre- about 6 minutes and 6-7 euros by taxi. There is a McDonalds about 15 minutes walk and a Lidl about 3 minutes away. The hotel was neat and beautifully decorated for the festive period. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was quite good. A lot of options. If youre looking to visit Porto, the hotel is about 25 minutes away from Espinho by train. I would definitely recommend it.

Could be cleaner. Mold in bath grout and bottom of shower curtain. Good sized rooms. Short walk to beach. Lunch buffet average and over priced. Breakfast buffet decent. Otherwise, a comfortable hotel.

Esta bien.pero para España no es un 5 estrellas, lo dejaría en un 4 estrellas.
El personal muy amable y atento y las puestas de sol en el Atlántico un lujo,eso si pagando suplemento por la habitación con vistas al mar.
Lo peor el colchón es de una pensión barata.

Wen es in diese Gegend verschlägt, hat so schon die falsche Wahl getroffen! Gut dass wir nur eine Nacht gebucht hatten. Die Umgebung des Hotels, der nahe Ort Espinho - einfach nur schrecklich! Noch nie so hässlichen Urlaubsort gesehen, schade, denn Strand und Meer sind fantastisch.Das Hotel selbst passt zum Gesamteindruck. Großer Kasten 70/80 Jahre, man ist bemüht, die 4 Sterne ( vorher mal 5 !!??) zu halten und hat ein neues Spa angebaut.Ansonsten aber hat es den Charme vergangener Tage. So riecht das ganze Hotel, die Zimmer sehr muffig !!! Auf dem Bett muffige Wolldecken, mit Laken eingeschlagen, findet man sonst nur in 2-Sterne.... ekelig! Also NULL Empfehlung!

Un lugar estupendo para pasar unos días en familia, con niños o personas mayores. La piscina climatizada exterior es muy agradable. Tienen actividades gratuitas para los huéspedes. El personal es encantador. Está un poco apartado de los pueblos de alrededor, lo que resulta agradable por la tranquilidad, pero te obliga a coger el coche para cualquier compra.
La playa es muy bonita y se accede directamente desde el hotel. Muy apetecible para tomar el sol o pasear, pero no es buena para nadar por la temperatura del agua y por las formaciones rocosas de la orilla.
Las comidas en el hotel son caras. Las que no se tengan contratadas en el hotel merece la pena coger el coche y acercarse a los restaurantes cercanos que sirven comida abundante, buena y a muy buen precio.
También hay una tienda Lidl al lado del hotel donde se puede comprar comida y especialidades locales a buen precio.

Hotel a precisar seriamente de renovação, algo antiquado. Excelente localização e estacionamento. Mesmo na praia, acesso director a mesma. Boa qualidade dos produtos, bom atendimento

Flott hotell med koselig betjening, flott saltvannsbasseng både ute og inne, samt bra spaavdeling. Rent og fint over alt. Restauranten bar preg av at sesongen var på hell med lite folk på kjøkkenet, så det tok lang tid å få maten. Litt harde senger. Var ca 20 min og gå til nærmeste landsby.

A comfortable hotel with wonderful staff, however it is definitely not 5* and it is definitely not in Porto! It is about 25 minutes walk to Granja and Esphino, which dont have much happening, but do provide eating out options and train links to Porto. Food at the hotel is ok, options are very limited and very expensive for what it is. Spa facilities are ok and not included in room rate. (Hot tub €10 per hour!) Standard rooms overlook busy duel carriageway. Comfortable beds. Limited TV options. No tea/coffee facilities. Bathroom very clean but dated. Gym is excellent, pools are great and theres direct access to a wonderful beach. This is a 4* hotel with a 5* pricing structure. so represents poor value for money.

Schönes Hotel, langsam in die Jahre gekommen. Aber super Frühstück, freundliches Personal,super Service, 1/2 Stunde nach Porto mit Auto, Shuttelservice um 9 30, und pünktlich um 5 00 holen Sie dich wieder am selben Ort ab und das gratis. Pool ok, Liegestühle alt und dreckig, Strand nicht so schön,ist der Atlantik.Gratis Velo
