I was greatly impressed with this boutique hotel. Location is superb, with nice views of the squire and river. Breakfast was included and is very good, especially in combination with the view. Hotel staff was I think the friendliest that I ever met. And room and bathroom decoration are very well done.

Pas vraiment un hôtel ni une chambre d’hôtes avec ses 6 chambres, quelques chose qui se situe entre les deux. Tous les avantages de l’hôtel, personnel aux petits soins, chambres confortables, services au top et excellents conseils. Vue magnifique sur le Douro et les quais.

素晴らしいホテルです。部屋も新しく清潔で快適でした。リベイラ広場とドウロ川を一望でき、景色を楽しむ事が出来ました。ウェルカムドリンクでCruzのワインを頂き、部屋にはボトルワインとお水がセットされており大変驚きました。また、スタッフの方が大変親切でポルトの町を効率良く楽しむ事が出来、大変感謝しています。ヴァレンタインサプライズありがとう。

Excelente restaurante e quartos

It's a jewel. Details (rooms), attention, and amenities at the top. You will be surprised how particular and beautiful it is. Staff is so nice, breakfast is amazing: fresh products, huge choice- I kindly recommend it. Great location on the river, nice view, close to everything. I would have loved to stay more than one night...

Very helpful staff. The room is very nice and with little surprises like a yummy Port wine bottle for guests. The Hotel Restaurant is just AMAZING! It was our best meal in town. Enjoy a beautiful sunset having dinner or just wine there. The waitresses were very kind with great suggestions. Diana was very nice and with a beautiful smile. I forgot the name of the other waiter but he was amazing too.

I love everything here, service is the best! Food is great. I definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family, I would book it again if I ever come here.

Service is excellent, staff will provide you a map and recommend places for you to go. I like the room a lot, stylish with super comfy bed and nice detail of decoration. It’s near the riverside with good views. Little surprise from the fridge and unlimited water provided. Free breakfast in the morning is so delicious as well with nice choices and beverages! The only downside is it’s located down the slope, will have to walk up the slope everyday to go to different tourist spots. But I am willing to do that with such good service and views. Be prepared to take taxi/uber from and to airport (it’s not near metro) which is not too expensive, may drop you off at SPAR (supermarket in a few minutes walk) up the slope as cars usually cant go down because it’s too crowded. Overall, it’s one of the best stay I had!!

Excellent location. The Staff Rui and Eunice really took care of every single detail. All the things to do in Porto were at an arm’s distance. The hotel has a beautiful restaurant and the staff there was so good too. 10/10

I'm really surprised how this hotel is so unique and beautiful! The hotel locates in the heart of the most historic places. the rooms are very net, clean and with a unique interior design. The staff is really nice, friendly, helpful and nice.

One of the best hotel experiences Ive had. Great location, well thought-out room and amenities, excellent breakfast. But the best part was the staff. Bruno and João were both fantastic hosts, eager to help, friendly, and full of great suggestions. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a smaller hotel which allows them to provide personalized service. The location is THE BEST and the rooms are cozy and clean!

We had a great stay it was more than expected. The location was close to everything and the view was amazing. The 5 star added extras were a lovely touch eg glass of port on arrival, large towels, comfortable bed, dressing gown and quality bath products. The breakfast was so delicious too and top class meals and service from restaurant. Isabel and the other reception staff and general staff were so polite and helpful. I cant speak highly enough of Gran Cruz House and will be recommending to my friends in Australia.

The Gran Cruz House was exceptional. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The breakfast was amazing and if we had better weather, we would have enjoyed it every day on their beautiful terrace facing the river. We were hesitant to stay this close to the Ribiera but it was an excellent location and place to stay.

Fantastic hotel in a prime location. We walked everywhere and loved to walk across the bridge to Vila nova de Gaia. Porto is hilly, so you do have to climb a hill to downtown. Car access is restricted to residents and taxis, so you have a short walk if you use Uber. The hotel has 6 floors and only 7 suites, with no more than two suites on a floor. Great views of the Douro River and Ribeira Square. The rooms are clean, cozy and well equipped. No television or kettle, but we didnt miss them one bit. The service was excellent and the staff very helpful. The restaurant was exceptional with a great dinner menu including 5 and 7 course tasting menus with wine pairings. The excellent breakfast was a la carte, which was much more relaxing than the usual buffet style.

Amazing Hotel! Prime location, you can walk to Vila nova de Gaia, and to the Porto Center. The hotel has only 7 suites, very private. Douro River view. Many restaurants around. Super clean and cozy. Service was excellent. Bruno was very nice, very polite. He made all arrangements to our trip to Douro Valley. He knows how to treat their clients.Breakfast was delicious.My wife and I only have compliments to this hotel. Do not think twice, this is the place to stay.

Location was perfect for parking access and walking. The property and support staff far exceeded high expectations. Onsite restaurant served a wonderful included breakfast and exceptional dinners with premium port and dessert. Offsite recommendations all worked out with equally high ratings. We stayed in the Tawny room. Other rooms may be a bit smaller but beautiful and comfy.

Well kept hotel in an excellent location, with all rooms having views of the river. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Walking distance of all local attractions. Recommended.

I stayed here for one night with my husband - I have to say we absolutely loved this hotel. I can’t rate it highly enough in regards to the room, location and the friendly concierges at reception who helped us with everything. Breakfast was a bonus and it was lovely. Great to be in the hub of all the activity down by the river and a wonderful view. I can’t fault this hotel in any way.

J'ai aimé la gentillesse et la serviabilité du personnel, la qualité et le design de la chambre, la propreté..... Bref, même si cela semble cher, on s'y retrouve largement, considérant que le petit déjeuner est inclus, de grande qualité, le tout avec une très belle vue sur la rivière Douro et le pont Dom-Luis.

Great location, completely refurbished. Very gracious and helpful staff (Bruno was awesome), plus a welcome glass of port at check in. Small and personal, each room is named after a style of port. It’s right on the river so it’s a bit of a climb to see the old town sights but nothing unmanageable.

Our long weekend stay at Gran cruz house was blissful. The rooms are impeccable and the decoration is so beautiful and unique. It is truly a gem in Porto. The staff at the front desk were exceptional - the help they gave in planning the weekend was so helpful and we followed each piece of advice. The morning breakfast was really good - sitting on the balcony in the sun was so nice each morning. Only downside would be that the shower was not that good - the cubicle was quite small for my tall husband and the power was not great. However, this will not stop me visiting Gran Cruz again in the future!
