Magnificent location, the suites have incredible views and are full of charme... too bad for the Salle de Bain and kitchenette totally not up to. After all Overpriced

Palácio Belmonte is not a hotel, it’s a cultural landmark, a refined experience and a luxury destination. It is one of the most prestigious spaces in Lisbon and probably one of the most exceptional places in the world where culture, architecture, heritage, art, style, and charm collide. Overlooking the Fundação Ricardo do Espírito Santo Silva and the Church of São Vicente of Fora, Palácio Belmonte is perched on the São Jorge Castle’s hills, facing the river, in the heart of the über charming fado district of Alfama. It's a magical place. Guests access it through a grand and discreet entrance which overlooks a private terrace and charming café (which belongs to Palácio Belmonte). Having breakfast on the garden or on the suite’s terraces, the very chic Aqua di Parma toiletry products in all the rooms including the swimming pool house, the impeccable, friendly yet discreet staff and private chauffeur will make your stay unforgettable.

Celebrated our 10th anniversary in a fairytale setting. Lisbon was amazing, but the Palacio blew us away. Book the Ricardo Reis suite. You've never seen anything quite like it.

We had a wonderful stay at Palacio Belmonte! The hotel is absolutely stunning. The rooms are beautifully designed and unlike any we've seen before. It truly feels like you're living in an art gallery. The Palacio plays on it's history beautifully. Simplicity and history. It's like being in a fairytale overlooking old Lisbon (Alfama). This hotel bucks the trend of what a 5 star hotel should be and redefines what luxury means. It is not in things, but in experiences. We cannot wait to go back!

The Palace is a magical place close to everything you want to see in the historical district of Alfama. It was amazing to open our windows and let the sun and sounds of the city in. The rooms are beautifully decorated with care to the smallest of details. It's like staying in a living museum and art gallery.

The public areas are beautiful and it's a good location but the rooms are very basic - no shower in ours! - and breakfast menu also very limited.

I visited Lisbon 2 weeks ago. Although I stayed to another hotel, I had heard of Palacio Belmonte and wanted to visit it during my stay in the city. I called to make a dinner reservation for the TERRACE of the hotel and I ensured that I made it clear that I'm interested in the terrace and not the yard, as I saw that you can also make a reservation for the yard. As you might already imagine, when we got there, we got informed that our reservation is about the yard (which had no view if the door was not open) as the terrace is completely private and doesn't accept reservations (lol, you never mentioned that on the phone, guys). Having obviously been cheated, we instantly cancelled the reservation. Horrible marketing trick. Horrible. Definitely not recommended.

Recepcionistas Arrogantes e intrataveis!

3 people staff could not manage 8 customers saying in a very rude manner that we had to wait cause "there are many people outside". Change your job. You are not able to do bars.

Our experience was poor because this hotel is grossly overpriced for the facilities and service you get.

Hard to fault this place. You don't feel like you are in a commercial setting at all.... it's more like you are staying with friends at their medieval home. Beautiful throughout and staff that are nowhere to be seen at all the right times, and yet seem to appear when you need them. We had checked out and came back hours later in need of a cab. They welcomed us back, showed us to a gorgeous hidden garden and made us some gin & tonics while they called us a cab. Gratis! Highly recommended. Dave
