Grandioso e Favoloso!
The vineyard is a must visit! In any case there's Claudio, the Capitano, host and very quickly a new friend. Let's show to you the old oil mill. Out of any discussion is the fantastic view, especially with the light of the rising sun and sunset. This great location offers a lot of possibilities spending your spare time at the garden, under the impressive old olive tree, into the pool or in the hall of the main building. You get space without limits. If you're looking for a place to relax- visit Morgado do Quintao. We spent some days there while our daughter got married. We'll never miss this stay and we're sure coming back. Simply beautiful.

It was excellent, extraordinary and so comfortable. During our whole stay (for 5 days - all 4 houses), our guests and we totally enjoyed the vineyard and all of it's magic including the old olive tree. We got married at a beach and celebrated afterwards our wedding in the garden of MdQ. We were overwhelmed by such a beautiful place with our helping hand and kind of guidance Claudio, who supported us in every need. We definitely looking forward to coming back to this magical place- thank you for all, and of course: try the MdQ wines, they are so delicious and superfine! Obrigado, Thomas & Anne

Excellent wine tasting and the Quinta with Sarah. Came with my boyfriend and happened to have a private tasting! The grounds were beautiful and authentic, the houses very beautifully designed and Sarah knew her wine !!! We asked lots of questions and left feeling like we got so much more than what we expected. She even showed us their bee hives ! Thanks so much and looking forward to keeping this one in the books! Being in the hospitality industry we really appreciated the real ness of the place ! Thanks :)
Uma surpresa incrível. Vale muito a visita. Vinhos autênticos

We attended the wine tasting and luncheon under the 2000 year old olive tree. Our hostess, Marylee, was amazing. She was very knowledgable about the wines, food and the area. The whole experience was exceptional and relaxing. This experience will be remembered as a highlight of our trip to Portugal.

Morgado do Quintao was the perfect place to end our busy summer. The moment we arrived we felt relaxed. It provided an idyllic way toget off the grid, read, walk, swim and unwind. The accommodations were very comfortable. We were fortunate to be there during harvest season and participated in a grape foot pressing for the 1st time in over 100 years. It was the countryside at its best - plus wine tastings and wonderful local fare. We can't wait to return. A true Algarve find.

Basic houses that could be nice, if they were looked after by people who cared. Bedrooms stank of cigarette smoke. There had been smoking right up to our arrival. (cigarette burns in the coffee table too). We had a 6 month old and any parent will know how risky this is: NHS in the UK advise that any kind of stale smoke creates a risk of cot death. If you have young children, would you expose them to that risk? No hot water. No one could fix it or tell us when it would be working. A bee infestation in the pool. We were told ‘this is rural Portugal’ and normal. We were also told they were ‘friendly’ bees, so that’s OK. The kitchen was a disaster. Pots, plates and pans were covered in food and un-clean. Appliances were wired in with power wires on the hob. Major fire risk. Staff agreed the place wasn’t safe. Asked for a refund so we could go. The manager (a word I use loosely) was un-interested as she had no authority, it was all down to the ‘difficult’ owner (her words) in Lisbon. He called, told us we were exaggerating (from 300km away) and refused a refund. After 5 hours the staff were watching TV so we gave up, left and paid for a hotel. We got 40% of our cost back via agent, leaving us 450 euros down. The owner refused to refund the 125 euro cleaning fee, a fee for a house we didn’t stay in and wasn’t clean to start with. That tells you all you need to know about this place and how it’s run. Most worrying is the disregard for safety. Good luck if you stay.

Best vineyard tour yet. We met the wine producer who was welcoming, knowledgeable and also great fun. Started with a delicious selection of local foods under the famous 2000 year old Olive tree. Tried all their wines which were all impressive wines and compete with some of the best. We then went for a walk around the grounds talking about the processes involved, history and had some fresh figs straight from the tree. The highlight of our honeymoon.
