Owner has a wealth of knowledge about touristy points of interest in surrounding Coimbra old town. So, make good use of her knowledge. The property is extremely clean and the staff, pleasant although certain hardware in the bathroom can certainly use some improvement. The only drawback in staying at this property is the long steep gradient climb up the hill to get to the property. But, the tradeoff is the property's close proximty to almost all of the toursity sites and museums at Coimbra Univeristy.

Very clean, well maintained, lovely host and lovely Guesthouse on top of the hill, arriving and leaving by taxi is advised.

Spettacolare. Personale gentilissimo, camere piccole ma comode e pulite (la nostra era con il bagno privato ma alcune hanno il bagno in comune), colazione buonissima e vista dal terrazzino strepitosa.
Se un giorno ritornerò mai a Coimbra, verrò a dormire ancora qui.

Near the city center. If you don't mind old and vintage house with shared bathroom your ok. Accomodations are good besides the age of house. View is great. My 3rd time around.

Unos días en Coímbra muy lluviosos, donde gracias a la hospitalidad de Casa Pombal y su detalle de la bolsa de agua caliente sin pedirlo, nos hicieron sentir como en casa. Gracias.

Vi körde bil till Casa Pombal, vilket vi klarade enbart tack vare Google maps. Det är en mycket krokig och slingrig väg och man måste verkligen ha starka nerver för att köra bil här. Rummet låg i en separat byggnad. Det var trevligt och innehöll ett litet kök. På morgonen fick vi färskt bröd till dörren. Eftersom vi anlände på eftermiddagen och bara stannade en natt hann vi bara med ett av slotten, men det låg i närheten. Inser i efterhand att vi borde läst på mer om de olika slotten i förväg.

La verdad es que eramos escepticos. Pero la amabilidad y simpatia que nos brindaron en esta casa fue increible. Estuvimos encantados y como en casa. Muchas gracias.

Abbiamo prenotato il giorno prima tramite booking per una notte con colazione inclusa al prezzo di circa euro. Posizione centrale, si trova nella parte alta di Coimbra, dovrete camminare un po' per arrivarci, ma è accessibile anche con la macchina. Accoglienza e professionalità da parte delle proprietarie, due signore davvero gentilissime. La camera con bagno privato, piccola ma dotata di tutto l essenziale. Consigliato!

Sehr höfliche und sehr freundliche und sprachgewandte Eigentümer. Aber alles sehr eng und klein, eher etwas für jugendliche Backpacker, die gesetztere Generation ist hier falsch. Und eines muss jedem klar sein: im Ernst(Brand??)fall wird hier niemand unversehrt herauskommen. Keine Parkplätze in der Nähe.

Beautiful little guesthouse in the heart of the old town in Coimbra, close to the university and cathedrals, the major attractions. The staff are wonderful, always ready with helpful advice.

Petit hôtel sans prétention idéalement situé à quelques minutes du centre historique de Coïmbra. Prix raisonnable, excellent accueil, chambres un peu anciennes, mais confortables, possibilité de parking public gratuit à proximité (demander à l'accueil)

Had a wonderful night at Casa Pombal. They were very accommodating of our family of 5 (including a baby). The views are lovely, the location ideal, the price is great and the included breakfast was enjoyed by all.

TAXI ESSENTIAL!! ( back of University) .
Beautiful establishment perfectly placed for the University and set in a student area,( think sophisticated Coimbra rather than unwashed scholars.)
Casa is surprisingly large but rooms slightly aged.
Wonderful rear garden, great breakfasts, helpful knowledgeable staff from Amsterdam, wonderful holiday.

Guesthouse Casa Pombal is located inside the walled city of historical Coimbra. It is an old fashioned house well decorated and with a lot of nice touch and details. My room is large enough for one person. As the location is on the top of city the best way to get there is taking a taxi.

We had a superb stay. The staff could not have been mre helpful. we were taken aside when we arrived to be briefed on where we were and all the recommended sights and places to eat. particularly well worth it. Our room was on the top floor. despite the rain we had a fantastic view over Coimbra, but there are no lifts so you need to be prepared to lug your luggage. the top rooms also have rafters diagonally cutting through the bath room resulting in a sore head on one occasion. breakfast was filling.

Hotel se nahaja v starem delu mesta v zelo ozki ulici. Zato je dostop do hotel zadnjih 200m možen samo peš. Na najbližji dostopni točki z avtom do hotela, je lahko dobiti prosto parkirno mesto. Hotel je res lep in obnovljenj na enostaven a zelo domiselen način. Če bi radi doživeli resnični privdih starega mesta, morate prenočiti v tem Hotelu. Vse zanimivosti mesta so vam na dosegu roku.

Ett trevligt och mycket personligt B&B. Värdinnan och hennes dotter gjorde allt för att vår vistelse skulle vara så innehållsrik som möjligt.De var mycket noga med att ge oss många trevliga tips om staden Coimbra. Påskdagens frukost så fin med chokladkycklingar, påskservetter och påsktårta. För övrigt var frukosten mycket bra. Små skojiga rum, målade i allsköns färger.Inget rum det andra likt.
Ett B&B att rekommendera, dock inte till handikappade.Man går mycket i trappor och i backar på kullersten. Glöm inte att ha bra skor. Det kändes mycket familjärt att vistas här.Tack.
