Waking up to the view of the mountains at the apartment is a spectacular experience. Folques is a small, friendly village with a great cafe in the centre. Apartamento Santo Antonio is a well equipped and comfortable base for exploring the area. Close to several exceptional river beaches and some great restaurants.

En realidad son dos apartamentos individuales. Nos alojamos en la planta baja, que tiene dos dormitorios y un baño. Tiene acceso privado y espacio para los coches. Las vistas son impresionantes, tanto de día como de noche si te gustan las estrellas. Debe ser una de las pocas zonas que se libró de los incendios del 2017. Es un lugar muy tranquilo. Necesario coche para moverse por allí. El super más cercano está en Arganil, a unos 8min en coche. El apartamento es nuevo, con estilo y práctico. Tiene todo lo que necesitas (menaje, ropa de cama...). Admiten mascotas pero si tienes un perro escapista hay que tener cuidado, pues tiene monte abierto. Cerca hay una playa fluvial pero es pequeña y al menos en agosto está abarrotada. El dueño se mostró siempre muy atento y amable. En conclusión, muy recomendable si buscas un apartamento rural.

My partner and I took a year out of work to travel around Europe with a mind to buy a property if we found the right place. When we arrived at Santo Antonio we fell in love with the area and instantly booked another two weeks. The people in this quaint village are very friendly and welcoming. Melanie was more than helpful with her advice of places to visit and to offer advice when needed. The town of Arganil is a very short distance away with everything we needed. The apartment itself is built and furnished to a very high standard with a king sized bed which is perfect for me as I am very tall. The kitchen is very well equipped, wether it's a short or long stay. The apartment is spottlessly clean and again done to a very high standard. We fell in love with this area so much that we did buy a property near to Folques and now live here permanently. Thank you so much for inspiring us Melanie. 10 out of 10
