Ein sehr schlechter Witz, die Portionen sind einfach nur Touri- Abzocke die seinesgleichen sucht. Das Essen ist zwar gut, waren nun 2 x hier. Allerdings sind die Portionen eher etwas für Kinder. Hatte Muscheln bestellt... normalerweise werden die in einer Schüssel serviert und man ist anschließend richtig satt. Hier sind gerade mal max 12 Muscheln auf einem flachen Teller und dafür dann 13€ kassieren..... Frechheit

What a pleasant surprise, possibly one of the best meals and service, lovely and personalised service, the steak, wow was something that I never seen in Portugal thick well cooked and tasty, the grill octopus was no doubts the best I ever had, so to marks for the kitchen and waitresses, will be back...

Had a couple of hours in Alvor where we love the boardwalk around the lagoon. Although we've been to Alvor many times this was the first time we've had lunch at Sereia.
A very smart looking restaurant, with impeccably dressed staff, I think we've walked past on previous visits thinking it would be expensive. This time however we noticed the boards advertising the lunch hour prices. Piri piri chicken at 6.50Euros and appealing to me was baby squids at 9.80Euros. The chicken was beautifully cooked and served with chips and a nice salad. My squids were served in a bowl with boiled potatoes which had been turned in the garlic oil the squids had been fried in. We all agreed that on our next visit to Alvor, this will be our restaurant of choice. I thought this was the stand out meal for me on this latest visit to the Algarve.
I'd also like to thank the staff for the lovely way they treated our 2 year old grandson, we were all made to feel very welcome.

Super recomendable. Trato excelente, amabilidad, kids friendly (con cambiador, tronas disponibles, camareros super majos con los niños...) y la comida muy rica en relación calidad-precio (pagamos unos 30€/pp por langostinos a la plancha, bief con patatas/otras guarniciones y dorada con patatas/ensalada/verdura, cerveza y agua, y dos postres).

This place is simply great! Staff was very welcoming. It felt like home. Waitress gave us her jacket, since we got cold sitting outside! (Place was fully booked) They moved is inside as soon as the table was available. The food was so delicious! Everything was great to perfection! We had scallops, duck breast, tuna steak, sea bass and sole fish. Thank you!

I can’t say enough good things about the food and staff at this establishment. Lily welcomed ya with open arms at the door and she was the reason we decided to stop here. She even came and checked on us after we were done. Our server Ruben was amazing! He suggested the wine and veal kabob and boy was he ever spot on! The best meal we have had this far! And my heritage is Portuguese so I’ve been eating the home made cuisine my whole life. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended!! Thank you Lily and Ruben as well as the chefs in the kitchen! We will be back :)

Celebrated my birthday here with my family. Staff made a bit of a fuss and came out to sing "happy birthday"...which was lovely.
I had golden bream, freshly grilled, absolutely beautiful. With fresh vegetables and a nice glass of white wine, it was the perfect meal.

Many restaurants to choose from in the village and we chose Sereia because we simply liked the look of it. Beautiful food at very reasonable prices. The baby squid with sautéed potatoes was outstanding - we were told it was a local specialty dish. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall a great experience in our first real dinner visit to a restaurant in Portugal. (Visitors from New Zealand).

The meal here was delicious! I had Ulinhas (baby squid), my wife had Frango (chicken) and our friends had golden bream and monkfish, accompanied with a delicious Alvarinho. There service was friendly, attentive and proficient and the meal came to our table in good time. It was the first warm, sunny day of our February stay in Alvor and the sun was beating in on our midday repast: heaven! Thank you!

We went there on Thursday evening. There was a good choice of fresh fish. We had a Red Snapper (€34 ) between us, which our waitress filletted at the table. It was delicious and came with fresh veg, potatoes and salad. I had vinho Verde (crema garcia I think) which was tasty with the fish . The panne cotta was small but tasty. All food was well presented. The service was welcoming and prompt. There was a buzz to the restaurant and it was warm due to the glass curtains. It was a bit cosy and tight with tables. We would go there again.

Excelente lugar en el que poder comer, entre otras cosas, un excelente pescado a la brasa perfectamente preparado. La carta de vinos es amplia y con vinos de la tierra magníficos. Hay que llegar temprano, porque siempre está lleno. El personal es amable y atento.

He pedido filetes de pescado a »la menhier«. Era pescado de mala calidad rebozado frito con aceite de girasol . No había ningún tipo de salsa menhier ni rastro de mantequilla. Además estaba super salado. Muy mala experiencia. No volvería a este restaurante. Mi amigo ha pedido brocheta de pollo, estaba chamuscada...

We came here for an afternoon trip from Portimao and we opt to go here for lunch. We saw fresh calamari and fish from that day with vegetables for 10euros and we were absolutely satisfied. Service was between top 3 restaurants in whole Portugal and we traveled from Porto all the way to Lisbon. Food and vibe of the restaurant was just great. We are Croatians so we know how these dishes should taste like and we were absolutely stunned by preparation and everything. Definitely don't miss this place. Was definitely one of the biggest surprise on our trip as we didn't expect this level of professionalism in such a small place. Well done!

Excellent food and service but to be honest Alvor as a whole did not disappoint in either.
The staff were helpful, knowledgeable and polite.
The food was excellent as mentioned.
We had four different dishes and none disappointed.
The prawn curry has strawberrys at the side (unexpected and just a warning for those like me who are allergic to strawberries - it's a shame as I really wanted to try the curry)
The steak was excellent as we're the fried prawns and the small squid.
We fed four, had sparkling water for all, a beer, a bottle of red wine, a small/ half bottle of green wine, starters of seafood paté, bread an olives and four main courses and were provided with a small and free glass of port each.
All in €104 plus a tip of my choice.
You get spoiled in Alvor for service and the food quality and this place has to be up there with the best in the local area.
Of course, we would visit again.

Friendly waiter. Fish soup was ok. Scallops were nice on their own but the sauce was way too sweet and overpowering. The tornado (meat) was perfect. The grilled fish was tasty but partly on the dry side. Overall, it was an OK experience.

Love the white sangria here. The staff on the other hand.... Rude waitress. I ordered a sangria and was the only customer there, but was advised I should have sat outside for drinks only in case other customers wanted to eat and I occupied there table inside.... No logic there whatsoever... Made me want to go some other place next time

Tasty sangria. Would come back, but the service does not seem to be customer oriented. We have been invited to the table, and the restaurant was very quiet, with only the chefs eating at the other table. However after we ordered our sangria, the waitress pointed out that for drinks we should have sat outside, as the tables inside the restaurant were for eating customers only and should the restaurant fill up, we would be invited to sit at the outside tables... Please note that we were the only customers there, and there were no chances all the other tables would be taken all at once... And that did not feel nice at all

A group of six went for lunch. Unfortunately the 45 mins wait for food was absolutely ridiculous. The service was awful, common courtesy would have been to tell us that the wait would long. But they said they don't normally do that after that the servers attitude towards us left a foul taste in our mouths

Les prix sont un peux élevé, mais ça en vaut le detour.
Les déserts sont délicieux un vrai plaisir pour le palais.

Had a meal here in July 2019 and left unimpressed. Service was very poor. The waiter seemed to think it was too much trouble to tell us about the fish of the day for the bbq, we had to ask for some of our drinks 3/4 times and were waiting for our mains for almost an hour. We won't be going back... several better restaurants nearby that offer better service, better food and better value!

So we had been before and I have to say best ever but tonight it was shocking bad I could not eat my main course for the two dogs that was tied under the adjacent table dogs under the table barking and crawling under our table while we We’re eating friends of the owners as they were chatting I can only presume

Hemos estado como 3 veces y cada vez que vamos lo superan. La comida es de muy buena calidad y el servicio muy eficiente. Debo decir que siempre he pedido pescados y mariscos porque tienen una pinta espectacular además de la frescura del producto. De precio más o menos es como 20 euros por persona y comes como un Rey.Tienen buenos detalles como por ejemplo mi hijo que entonces era muy pequeño, empezó a ponerse nervioso y a lloriquear y su empleada y la dueña del local le trajeron unos juguetes y le daban juego.Al final se hicieron muy amigos!!! En unos días vuelvo a Portugal y lo primero que haré cuando deshaga la maleta es ir allí a comer.

Fui pela segunda vez a este restaurante, e a impressão foi ainda melhor do que da primeira. Desta vez, fui almoçar com familiares, e saímos todos muito bem servidos e com vontade de voltar. A simpatia dos empregados, a disponibilidade, a qualidade da comida e o espaço, são realmente de grande nível.
As lulinhas à algarvia e o magret de pato estavam deliciosos. O vinho branco da casa é bom e recomenda-se.
Preço qualidade é dos melhores restaurantes na zona de Alvor.

Un beau cadre, mais, personnellement, je n'ai pas aimé la nourriture. J'ai trouvé que ma morue était trop fade par moments, comme d'un coup il ya vait des morceaux très salés. Je pense que le resto venait d'ouvrir aprè!s leurs congés et que ça a eu du mal à démarrer et on n'a pas eu de chance. mais si les assaisonnements sont toujours comme ça, alors pour moi c'est trop cher comme resto pour ce que l'on mange. Par contre le personnel était très gentil et serviable.

Although the restaurant is acceptable and staff friendly enough, the food was very bland. We had different fish and meat dishes and they were all rather tasteless. You can eat much better food in so many other places in the region, I would not recommend this place.

Peixe grelhado ( dourado e robalo) delicioso, acompanhado de um vinho branco e uma vista deliciosa da ria de Alvor. Atendimento especialíssimo do Nuno. Preço justo. Não deixe de visitar.

Este restaurante encontra-se ao lado do restaurante zé morgadinho (creio que a localização no mapa não está correta). Outra nota, o restaurante mudou de visual (e talvez de dono e menu?!) pelo que constatei nas fotos do google maps.
Fui lá no início do mês de Maio 2017, comi uma lulas maravilhosas. Muito bem servido, ingredientes frescos e bem confeccionados. Adorei. Muito bom!
Preço é um pouco acima da média, mas vale a pena!

This place has had a recent facelift, with fish in display cabinet and living fresh lobster, crab, sea bream etc.
Let me start by saying the staff are very friendly and courteous...
Prices are fair and some seafood are priced by the kilo and is accompanied by potatoes or frites, alongside many other dishes from meats to fishes.
I ordered the King Prawn at 75 euros per kg, to be grilled and served with round sliced fried potatoes (which came caramelised)...
The day after I experienced seafood poisoning that lasted 32 hrs so far. I want to say that the King Prawn tasted delicious, and what seemed to be cooked to perfection.
Sea bass was really tasty and nicely grilled, served and de-boned at the table. Scallops was too salty, champagne sauce over powering and texture of scallops could have been a little bit more tighter.

Lunch prices; Excellent moist Piri Piri chicken with fries and salad for 6.50. Also perfectly grilled Dourado ( golden bream ) with small whole boiled potatoes that were skillet stir fried with olive oil and garlic for 9.80 Good service.
