The wait staff were quite busy so it was hard to get their attention. The food was good but not the most delicious. The wine was excellent and affordable. I was annoyed that they wouldn't even give me a small glass of tap water.

Bom restaurante, o serviço muito atencioso pelo pessoal, comida muito bem confeccionada, jantar com familiares com entradas de gambinhas da costa, cones e uns mini hambúrgueres de camarão que recomendo, como prato principal pedimos a cataplana de polvo (muito tenrinho) e a açorda que estava um espetáculo, recomendo a sangria de frutos vermelhos, muito boa. Quanto a preços um valor médio/ alto mas em parte justificado pela qualidade do serviço e dos pratos servidos.

TBH, just pretty average. Much better to be found within 100 metres. Great, helpful waiter. But overpriced for pretty standard food. Cash only, so be careful. It's not hard to get a card machine or reservations system but neither seem possible here.

Simplesmente divinal. Gostamos de tudo. Iniciamos com os corretos, o camarão ao quadrado e o camarão salteado. A seguir foi a cataplana de polvo, o risoto e a lasanha de camarão. Acabamos com a tarte de maçã, a mousse e o petit gâteau. Tudo foi ótimo.

Absolutely DELICIOUS! We had a fantastic evening and even better food at this small restaurant. The owner was extremely charming and welcoming... And if you’re a shrimp lover, you may as well call Maré heaven.

Einfach, ein wenig improvisiert eingerichtet wirkendes Restaurant. Zuvorkommend und freundlich, kundenorientiertes, junges Personal. Die aktuelle Speisekarte wird am Tisch erklärt und vorgestellt. Die Einrichtung, besonders die Stühle könnten etwas bequemer sein. Wir hatten einen Risotto und eine Meeresfrüchte Lasagne. Alles hat sehr gut geschmeckt und wurde ansprechend serviert. Das Restaurant ist nicht ganz behindertenfreundlich zu erreichen aber machbar. Wir waren sehr angetan.

Great little place to eat. Waiters very helpful and friendly. Food is very good. One thing to remember. The name says it ..shrimp. The menu is based on shrimp. But there are other things. Try the sea cones or the shrimp burgers. They are both delicious. One of the best places to eat in Olhao.

Vraiment bon ! Cuisine raffinée, belle présentation, service souriant. Nous avons un peu attendu mais les serveurs se sont excusés plusieurs fois.

I strongly recommend going there! It is by far the best restaurant I have ever been to in the Algarve. The food was beautifully presented but most importantly it tasted out of this world. The restaurant is situated in a charming cosy spot away from the hussle and bustle. The interior has a tasteful marine decor. The whole image of the buisness is up to high standards. I felt very welcomed by the staff. The menu was explained to me and I didn't feel lost while choosing what I would fancy. Overall, it was one of the best food experiences I have ever had. A must-go!

Restaurante de altíssima qualidade sob todos os aspetos: serviço, espaço, simpatia, qualidade e frescura dos ingredientes, opções da carta, originalidade, apresentação e sobretudo sabor! Está um pouco escondido na lateral da esquadra da polícia, mas vale tanto à pena! O risotto estava inacreditavelmente bom!

I stumbled upon this restaurant by accident. Saw a beautiful decor and decided to give it a try.
The food was delicious! They have a shrimp based menu and it was cooked to perfection.
The waiters were friendly and knowledgable about the food and wine.

Spent 6 nights in Olhao, ate here twice. Couldn't wait to go back. Each night equally good. Followed Claudio's expert opinion each time. Well advised. This guy is such an asset to the restaurant and very patient and passionate about their menu. Try the octupus ***** Obrigada.

Tivemos o privilégio de podermos jantar no Maré, espaço decorado com muito bom gosto e confortável e um serviço muito atencioso e de alto nível. Optamos pelo menu de Natal e foi uma agradável surpresa. Menu bastante atrativo e de excelente confecção. Desde as entradas ao prato principal, tudo irrepreensível. Talvez a melhor açorda de camarão e xerem que já comemos. Recomenda-se a visita.

Exceptional restaurant. A must when in Olhao. Very refined cuisine. The salmon shrimp with mango starter is not to be missed.

The best meal over the last 6 days in Spain and Portugal. Charming decor with attentive staff that cares about making your meal special, not just another customer to add to the day's tally. The dishes are more unique than the typical grilled fish and potatoes at many seafood joints. We had a polenta like stew with clams, shrimp, bacon and crisp bread cubes served in a pot at the table. They are busy so reservations are recommended. They also take non-cash payments except the night we were there (bank machine wasn't working).

Quiet a different experience to the average restaurant, everything on the menu contains shrimp (prawns to us Australians). Highly recommended for a change of pace. Make sure to have enough cash to pay, the card machine was not working on our visit.

Tucked away in a side street this is a must for anyone who enjoys fresh fish and Portugeuse food. We were welcomed by Claude who was really interesting to talk to as well as explaining all the dishes. We had sea cones with lemon sorbet for starters. Absolutely delicious and a work of art. We then had a tureen of Octopus Cataplana filled with the most tender octopus, shrimps, clams and mussels in a delicious broth. This meal was on a different level to the other restaurants we had visited. First class food and presentation by chef Vladimir and must mention our waitress Nadine who was lovely.

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to lately! Besides of the coziness of the place, and the absolutely fabulous food ( I am not a fan of risotto) and I couldn’t get enough of their risotto with shrimp and pineapple!!! You definitely need to try it (you will thank me later!:). What defo won my heart was the fact that the waiter came to out table and made sure he explained the menu to us, what every dish contains, how is made and what are his personal favourites :). I would recommend this place with all my heart! It’s worth every single penny!

Personal begrüßt einen freundlich familiär (spricht fließend Englisch!), das Ambiente ist frisch, shabby chick, gemischt mit alten wie modernen Accessoires.
Menü ist minimalistisch aber dafür perfekt umgesetzt, frisch und schmackhaft.
Preis-Leistung gut. Uns hat es sehr gefallen.

War sehr gut. Das Essen war gut, nicht überragend aber ich würde sagen dem Preis angemessen. Dafür war das Lokal sehr toll. Sehr schön eingerichtet und mir viel Liebe zum Detail. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich. Ich würde hier wieder essen. Preislich bewegt man sich zwischen 13 und 16 Euro pro Gericht.

5 stelle meritatissime, non solo per la qualità del cibo ma anche per la pazienza del cameriere che ci ha spiegato le cose in ben tre lingue per farcele comprendere. Tutto molto delizioso. Ogni piatto è a base di gambero. Vi consiglio la "polenta" dell'algarve, il loro piatto tipico.

Sehr nettes gemühtliches, kleines Restaurant in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße mit viel Liebe eingerichtet, kleiner Außensitzbereich.
Die Speisen sind hervorragend und schmecken absolut köstlich; auch kleinere Gerichte gibt es; alles sehr modern und ansprechend auf den Tellern serviert.
Das Personal berät sehr zuvorkommend ohne aufdringlich zu sein und ist sehr aufmerksam. Ein Genuss und eine gute Alternative zu den immer gleichen Touristenrestaurants auf der Hauptstraße mit Meerblick.
Viele junge einheimische Paare finden sich im Lokal.

Best restaurant in Olhao!
This is our 2nd visit to Olhao and 'stumbled' upon this restaurant on our last night. What a find! I wish we had known about this place sooner. The food is AMAZING, the concept is executed so well. Service was excellent, Claudio, manager/staff was attentive and explained all the menu really well. He was looking out for all the patrons but made sure he came often to check if we were OK. Place was busy but service was spot on. Also, credit to the chef , think he will go very far in his career.. I would fly back to Olhao just for this restaurant and to try the rest of the menu!!

Adorei o espaço, a decoração está brutal com muitos pormenores relacionados com a cidade e meio envolvente..Um ambiente calmo, relaxante acompanhado de boa musica e excelente cozinha..os pratos super originais e bem preparados..De salientar que também que existe um parque de estacionamento perto o que facilita a deslocação...recomendo vivamente

Great, sophisticated little place just off the main strip. Very accommodating to my two-year-olds appetite. A great selection of small plates and substantial mains. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area looking for a not so touristy meal.

Nice and small restaurant with a very relaxing atmosphere. Delicious food with great choices mainly based with shrimps. However, there are other nice meat options. Friendly staff with a good table service.

Ha sido todo un descubrimiento.
Todo estaba muy bien elaborado y muy buena presentación.
Las almejas riquisimas,las gambas en su punto.Probamos por recomendación del camarero un guiso pescador de polenta y la verdad....espectacular
Y que decir de los postres,caseros y ricos
La musica muy atrayente nos envolvia.
Y los camareros muy agradables
Lo recomiendo 100 por 100
