Oh one of our favourite places been here twice this week Amazing food friendly staff
Even tried the lunch time menu it was wonderful great value for money i had chicken curry pie made at lunch time by English Chef Jamie it was Amazing thankyou Jamie

Great food at a reasonable price. The restaurant staff are very friendly and quick to serve/clear. We had olives etc. Tempura seafood, ham hock with mash, chocolate pudding for desert and coffee for €20 a head. You can get cheaper but generally not this good.

Bom menu de carne, algum peixe, pizzas e sobremesas, especialmente as flambeadas á vista do cliente. Bom serviço, com destaque para a RP que é simpatiquíssima. Preços €€.

Sunday dinner every 3rd Sunday with 3 artists the Sunday dinner is fantastic with three different meats roast potatoes Yorkshire pudding help yourself to veg and gravy all this for only 10 euros and the drinks are reasonably priced as well

Booked a table for new years got there no table reserved in fairness they accommodated us but we where presented with a very limited set menu with nothing suitable for children so we left they should update there website to reflect special occasions so people are made aware of changes
The staff member who dealt with us was extremely professional

There was a party on and it was very noisy. Girl who served me had a job to raise a smile. 2 televisions on at high volume. Had one drink and left. Will try again when it's not so busy.

With a large group, we ordered ahead for guaranteed time and price. Utterly superb traditional Christmas lunch with everything you would expect (English that is!). Huge portions of Turkey, nice moist Christmas Pudding. Excellent service from the staff. Definitely a place to return to. Will admit it's not my first visit, and hopefully not the last.

decided to eat here twice it was that good. food was delicious, service was fantastic and the kids had a bouncy castle to play on while waiting, if I ever go back to Alvor I will definitely be eating here again.

Food good but some prompting was needed like can we have some veg with the steak and chips and a coffee which was a coffee black and not the Cappuccino ordered

I did not like the food at all. One of the waitresses was very nice but the other one was super rude. Weird thing going on. The rest of my family liked the food so this is just my opinion really because I think the sauces were too strong and weird

Nice setting with friendly staff. Food is good, good tempura shrimp and steak, cheesecake desert was only ok. Overall a bit pricey for what you get but still 4 stars.

1st time I have been here, but I have to say they do the best ribbs everso tasty. The restaurant was full but a very enjoyable evening and very good value for the money. Will be going back next time am in Portugal.

Ein Muss für jeden der in Alvor ist.
Ich persönlich habe mich immer wieder an den Desserts erfreut.
Geschmacklich ausgezeichnet und die Zubereitung unbeschreiblich schön das Auge isst mit.
Wir können es mir jedem empfehlen.

Well, not the best dining experience by far. Undercooked mushrooms, overcooked meat made worse by service with attitude. And there was only one more table. Perhaps, the waiters wanted to go home early...

Fuimos varias veces, ya que con la primera nos quedamos impresionados, es un restaurante con dos cocinas independientes una de comida portuguesa y la otra principalmente de carne, ambos estupendos y el servicio impecable. Lo único que recomiendo que para cenar se vaya pronto.

Absolutely fabulous. Best onion rings ever! Freshly made. Superb! Lots of variation in the menu list. Had a great time! Service absolutely stunning! From the beginning to the end: A+++. Would go there again, and again, and again. .

I've eaten here 3 times over last year - steaks and ribs, and have mixed opinions. Mainly its been very good, but last time was lacking with minor things eg we ordered mushroom sauce and a blue cheese sauce and they were both the same (confirmed by the waiter).also rare was more medium rare. Its located around a mile out of Alvor, so you'll need a car, but priced as per central Alvor. Personally I'd pay the 10‰ extra and eat at Fsustinos in Alvor, that's been consistently excellent over 6+ visits

The worst meal I have had in Portugal, hard to believe as I have had some very good meals there in the past. Tonight I ordered a medium steak and was given rare steak that was poor quality and my complaint was ignored. Never again!

Was there for a Christmas skydiving dinner. EUR 30 for a three course menue with wine and beer included. Well.... Let's start with the service; completely lost and overwhelmed. It took over an hour to get something to drink. 90 minutes for the couvert and 2h for the first course... Speaking of the first course: tomatoe soup. It was completely tasteless and only the salt and pepper helped to make it eatable. We had no clue what they did to the potatoes of the second course, but we did not touch them a second time. All in all can't recommend the place at all. There are so many great restaurants in the area that serve so good food - I recommend any other then this place. Sorry about the harsh critique, but I have seldomly been more disappointed then here.

Christmas Dinner with 120+ people.
3 course dinner and drinks included. All drinks before and after official dinner time were charged. Wine during dinner was awful.
Appetizer very bad
Soup without any taste
Dont call some kind of meat a beef or turkey! Quality of the meat was like the wine.
Desert was ok.
All in all bad and lazy service and not enough waiters. Poor choice of management. If u cannot handle a party of 120+ dont do it!

Just left Big Reds. Very comfortable warm room on a cold night. Staff were excellent and the food was nice. No problem going back again!

Provavelmente um dos melhores restaurantes de alvor (e arredores). Não só pela comida, que é boa mas pelo atendimento e local...Aqui há igualdade de tratamento entre portugueses, ingleses franceses e mais que venham....se que ser bem atendido no algarve é aqui. Quanto à comida tem umas asas de frango muito boas mas o melhor mesmo é o piano bem grelhado e com vários molhos à mistura. O ambiente é calmo e é um lugar óptimo para jantar longe da confusão do centro do alvor....

Anyone who feels this place is expensive is crazy!!!!
Do you know they have a lunch special everyday for €7? It's insane!!!
1/2 k of ribs, potato salad or slaw, beans and a drink (beer if you want)
It's so much food you can take half home for dinner.
The ribs are slow cooked to perfection over night and you have many sauces to choose from.
The GM Sandro is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. If you don't go here at least once on your vacation, you're missing out
Oh! And if you have kids.....dinner they have a Bounce House! Really! Food, cocktails, wine....while the kids play? Perfect.....

Last year and the year before myself and my mom visited Big Reds and it was amazing all the staff were really nice and funny! I miss them all and will come back

This is the second year that we have visited Big Reds more than once whilst on holiday.
The menu is varied enough for my 3 grandchildren who have difficult tastes. They love it.
The atmosphere is friendly casual, the service excellent.
Well worth a visit.
