Fantastic new steak house adjacent to the Tivoli at the start of the Marina. Exquisite steak reasonably priced too. Thoroughly recommended.

Very nice restaurant but to be honest for the price of it I would of thought it should of been better....but would recommend it!

Lovely experience, we've been tonight and it's been the best experience of our life Lara and Daniel were really lovely and friendly and they made our dinner really unforgettable. Steaks were really awesome, we didn't expect such a high quality in a touristic place like this but service and food were really fantastic . Do a favour to yourself, go in this place U won't regret it ❤️

Staff were really accomodating. Showed up last minute quite late one night and they took a booking of 8 and they still delivered the same high standard of service as they would any other time. Food was superlative, I couldn't find one fault.

Very disappointed. No menu outside, ordered the burger no flavour, toasted bap had more taste than the meat. Wife ordered caesar salad, it came with no dressing. On the short time we were there, 2 families came and left because apparently they had only one high chair but it was being used.

Just had a week in Vilamoura, we dined 4 nights out of seven at the Rare Steakhouse. It got progressively better on each visit, starting from very good and then excellent. Been coming to Portugal for 32 years & without doubt the best steaks I have eaten here. A real quality service to go with it to. We'll see you next time, hope it continues to strive.

It should've been called "medium" steakhouse, as the food and service wasn't rare (well, maybe in the way that it was nearly nonexistent), nor was it well-done. Visited for lunch, restaurant near empty, yet I had to go in myself to get a waiter (5 staff, all more busy with their phones than customers). After a while I finally got my food, which was slightly better than regular fast food, but should in no way be aligned with a steakhouse. Meat was dry, even though it looked medium/rare. Best part of the meal was actually the onion rings, which kind of says it all. Drinks were okay though (hence the second star, instead of just one). Then, of course, I had to go in myself to request the bill, and when presented, they tried to guilt trip me into giving a tip... First I paid the bill, then got the: " usually, there's 10% added towards it, would you like to pay this by card or cash?". I just feigned being a dumb tourist and not understanding what was meant, but for mediocre food and horrible service there's a snowball's chance in hell that I will ever pay anything more than the bill, actually I should've gotten a discount, as I did most of the "service" part myself. Don't believe the 5 star reviews here, it's probably from people who never actually ate here.

If you are a streak lover, then this is the place for you, the service is amazing, all the staff are very polite and friendly, and most of all, they know how to do thier jobs. Prices are slightly higher here, but the quality of food and the level of service makes is value for money in my opinion.

I just dont know where to start with this place the staff and service were just outstanding and despite being packed out to the max the whole place just ran like clock work. And literally the whole of our party of 6 agreed that this place provided the most incredible steaks any if us had ever had anywhere. You can actually go in advance during the day or day before and reserve the specific piece/cut of meat you want and the staff will explain all about the cut of meat where its from,what qualities that cut has taste wise,how they recommend you have it cooked, what wine you should have with it etc. This place was so good we booked a 2nd time during our weeks stay

We came yesterday and had the chicken Caesar salad which contained bacon and my partner does not eat pork! However, they changed the dish and made it more accommodating for him. The service was exceptional, the manager was friendly and treated us as humans, paid full attention to our wants. Thank you! We will come again. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Me and family went there Tuesday this week. It’s was very expensive and the food was horrible. The steak was tough all of us did not enjoy the meal at all. Never again don’t recommend it to anyone. Ripped us off !

Raramente escrevo uma opinião sobre um restaurante, mas já que avaliei com uma * o dito acho que merecem um "puxão de orelhas" pela miserável prestação gastronómica: Pedi para entrada uns simples onion rings/aros de cebola fritos; como é possível utilizarem na cozinha algo tão simples e rápido de preparar mas utilizar produto industrializado?!? (Informação do chefe de turno no final do jantar). Fritura demorada em óleo manhoso, resultado final: secos, duros, sabor fritura de prisão de alta segurança na Turquia. Passemos ao lombo mal passado: rijo, textura de uma carne grelhada em 5 minutos em cada lado em vez de 2,5/3 minutos. Serão mesmo especialistas em carnes ou amadores armados ao pingarelho? Gratin: batata ensonsa, duas camadas de batata apenas, ensonso, queijo de fraca qualidade, as natas talhadas. O cozinheiro é cego e merecedor de umas chibatadas por conseguir estragar uma execução tão simples. Resolvo pedir um Tártaro; Deus, o que eu fui fazer...nem mostarda Dijon, Sal e pimenta adicionados por mim safaram aquela "coisa" a que têm a veleidade de chamar de steak tartar. Saído directamente do frigorífico onde esteve seguramente a "estagiar" uns dois ou três dias pelo menos. Já agora, para quê enfiar um verdadeiro prado de rúcula em vez de 4 ou 5 triângulos de um excelente pão torrado na hora? Resultado? Assassinaram um dos pratos mais emblemáticos da gastronomia mundial. Se não sabem, fiquem por aquilo com que já nos fazem (ilustres comensais) sofrer. Banofee: mais flores do canteiro á beira da estrada e um creme muito abaixo do sofrível. Nem um café expresso sabem tirar com espuma?!? Assim termina a experiência, com o chefe de turno a questionar porque o Banofee foi devolvido inteiro e eu a explicar e tentar entender porque um pretenso envia para a mesa aquilo que ele jamais iria colocar na boca. A conta? Digamos que €100 chegam para o pesadelo. Boa sorte, irão precisar.

Came here with my husband and three kids (15, 14 & 12). We enjoyed everything from the oysters, caprese salad to flaming choirico and filet mignon. Highly recommend.

From the moment we were shown to our bar stool table it was an experience...I could have watched the chefs at work all night with their precision prepping of customers food, the passion they showed in cooking and how well they worked as a team. The waiters and waitresses were so attentive pouring our water and wine before we even realised they needed topping up. A little couvert of the traditional bread olives and chorizo was accepted and eaten followed by our chosen T-bone Angus steak, garlic mushrooms, peppercorn sauce and french fries. This was all washed down with a bottle of to die for Colinas Reserva Tinto...Oh and not forgetting the lemon meringue and original cheesecake we had to have as a dessert (wouldn’t normally have a dessert) A fabulous well ran, well oiled establishment that is well worth the visit and one we will be returning to at any given opportunity... Until the next time x

What a fabulous restaurant. We ordered the sharing steak platter for 2 people - absolutely fantastic choice. The service was superb both for our wine and the food. Would highly recommend. We're only here for 6 nights this year and we intend going back again before we leave.

Visited this restaurant twice on our holiday, food and service are great Lovely starters followed by very nice steak. We had the 3 steak board for two people, there was loads. Only negative point which is valuable if like me you don't like goats cheese (food of the devil) Ordered the macaroni cheese, looked fantastic however on my first large mouthful discovered it had goats cheese in it. (wouldn't happen in America) If you do like goats cheese however, you're in for a treat.

It was better the last time we visited, which was only 6 weeks earlier. A bit expensive for what you get

Amazing food. Good service. Don't be talked out of going for one of the bigger special cuts. The 1kg short rib and tomahawk were both amazing (we went back) we couldn't have eaten both in one sitting. It's actually very reasonable pricewise, especially compared to some other places in and around the Marina.

The food here is absolutely delicious. Pricey but worth it for good quality food. Aware of allergies and made sure all of the food I ordered was gluten free. They cooked me fries separately which I really appreciated. Just offering this shows they are aware of cross contamination and take it seriously. Yum! Go and check it out!

Best Restaurant on the Marina by a mile stunning food, great atmosphere and super attentive staff, would highly recommend it
