Arrivé en couple pour 3 journées de kitesurf pour se perfectionner Et se rendre indépendant (réduit à 2 par manque de vent mais plein de truc à visiter ou faire dans le coin), on a dormi à la guest house de gks, bien située, propre et qui dispose de chambre avec lit double. Ambiance au sein de l'école hyper sympa avec Abel qui nous a accueilli au restau à notre arrivée et proposé plein de choses pour nous arranger au cours du cours séjour. Il était pas obligé mais décidemment ils sont vraiment cool. Spot en face de l'école sur l'autre rive à 3 min de zodiac, les 3 écoles de esposende vont dessus. C'est pas très grand mais à la période où on y était c'était idéal. A priori avec le monde de juillet août c'est plus compliqué. On tire ses bords à la perpendiculaire de la plage et on a pied à pas mal d'endroits. Très bien pour les débutants. Au final à refaire 100 fois et merci 1000 fois à l'équipe de gks pour le bon môment passé endroit : Abel, Xana, Miguel et Diogo notre prof ! Maxime et Marianne

I had a great experience staying 1 week at GKS. The kite spot is great you can enjoy both flat water and waves. Abel, Miguel, Xana and the instructors are very friendly and always up to organize activities after kiting and during no wind days. You will live in Esposende with the locals and go to nice restaurants & bars. You meet great people at the guest house which is convenient, calm, clean, and very well located. I highly recommend, you will have a blast!

I rented a seat harnass here. When I was flying my kite at the beach for 10 min before going into the water all of a sudden the harnass let go and I was pulled a couple of meters over the beach by one leg. It appeared the attachment around my waist opened (it was a click system and there was no doubt it had clicked when I put it on) and only one of the straps around my legs was still attatched to the kite. Luckily a friend was able to pull the safety, it was too far away for me to reach now, and apart from a strained ankle I was fine. The contact person of the kite school, Miguel, had said he’d be at the beach at 13.00 so I decided to borrow a harnass from a friend and wait for him to tell the story in the meantime. He did not show up and since my ankle felt sore but ok I decided not to waist good wind and go to the school in the evening. When I arrived there and told the story about the harnass not functioning properly and asked a refund they said I had not used the material properly, that I should have called immediatly and was probably making up the story, that I was rude and making fun of their business. Not once did they ask if I was ok, even though I had almost lost a kite ànd got into a dangerous situation because of their harnass. When I told them I was waiting for Miguel to tell him about the harnass and he didn’t show up they said I was “very welcome to leave”. This is the worst experience you can have with kite gear rental, a company who rents bad functioning gear and that doesn’t take any responsibility when it goes wrong. Don’t rent gear here

Good spot for first steps on kite. Even if there is no wind it is a great place to be. Super friendly team!

GKS and its owners, Abel and Miquel, are simply great! The spot is perfect for kitesurfing, the station small but mighty and the kite teachers really know what they are talking about. You will feel as part of the GKS family the instant you arrive there and I highly recommend staying at the GKS guesthouse! Although I only stayed for a weekend, I will definitely come back. If you are looking for a kite school near Porto, where you not only will improve your kite skills, but additionally spend a great time among extraordinary people, GKS it the place to go!
