The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious. Paulo and his Dad were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. The property was well situated - near to two metro stations and several cafes and restaurants, and a twenty minute downhill walk to the city centre. We would stay here again if visiting Porto.

This was one of our favourite places we’ve ever stayed, and I travel 50% of the year for work. Not only was the place impeccably clean and quiet but the hosts were incredible. To say he was kind and welcoming is an understatement - our last night we shared some port wine and talked for a few hours with Gil and it was one of our favourite parts of the trip. We stayed in the suite and it was beautiful and SO clean. Loved the tile work and it was a perfect size for a week stay. Our whole stay he kept making sure we were okay and enjoying our time in Porto. The neighborhood is quiet and has some great restaurants nearby (Augustos for dinner!) and is close proximity to the Centre. I’ll 100% return here if I get the chance to visit Porto again. Thanks again for your hospitality!

A recently renovated guest house in a great location. Its about 5 minutes walk from the metro station in a quiet location. Theres plenty of cafes and restaurants in the local area and a small supermarket. You can walk to the city centre in less than half an hour (all downhill) or hop on the metro for 4 or 5 stops, we walked in and caught the metro back up the hill.

Could not be any better, perfect place. The room was spacious, very clean and very comfortable. Location was excellent with a 4 minute walk to the metro with only a handful of stops into central Porto. We met the father and son, and they are brilliant and so helpful. We left very early this morning and very surprised to be met by the father whom presented us with 2 beautiful photos of Porto which we will treasure. Canjot recommend this beautiful guesthousehighly enough and we would certainly stay tgere if we returned to Porto.

I travelled to Porto with my 10 year old son for our very first holiday abroad together. I was therefore a little apprehensive about whether it would meet our expectations, and that we would feel safe and comfortable. I can honestly say that staying with the amazing owners of Casa Velha Guesthouse made our trip that much better. They were warm, engaging, friendly, generous with their time and knowledge, gave me so much advise and tips on where to go and what to do in the city. Our room was beautiful, clean and quiet. The house is lovely - a real traditional treat. The bathroom was spotless and beautifully designed (and has a shower you never want to leave.) Fresh fluffy towels were provided everyday and our bed was big and comfortable.As both the owners are busy, you can come ands go during the day without feeling overwhelmed or intrusive - it really feels like your own private haven. But they were also always there to greet us in the evening.The guesthouse is located just five minutes walk away from the metro station, and the frequent trains means you can get into the city centre quickly. But this is also a very peaceful area. Its authentic - a working residential street, and so if you want to feel part of the community and get away from the tourists this is great.We had breakfast at the same cafe on the corner every morning - as their pastries and coffee were delicious, and the staff recognised and made us feel welcome every morning. Laccès au centre ville par le métro est très pratique.La chambre donnant sur le jardin était spacieuse et fraîche.L’accueil par le propriétaire a été excellent. M. Cruz a été à lécoute de toutes nos questions et sest montré très disponible tout au long du séjour.

Fantastic apartment with friendly owners. Helpful, but not overbearing. Located in a lovely neighborhood a 20 minute walk or short metro journey from the centre.

Really helpful staff who were also happy to give you space. Large, comfortable room and reasonable walk into the centre to see the main attractions. Would recommend.

Extremely clean and confortable, filled with amazingly warm and kind people (and a cute puppy!). Really close to the Subway and green spaces, and great quality-cost relationship. Really recommend it, and Will definitely return!

The hosts made me very welcome in their guesthouse. They were always available to answer queries, and discretely checked that I was enjoying my stay.The room was spotless, warm and fresh. I enjoyed a good sleep every night on a very comfortable bed, with no noticeable traffic noise from outside. The nearest metro was only about 400m away, and a mini-supermarket the same distance. On departure, I was given a very warm send off and I would like to thank my hosts for their hospitality.

I had a very enjoyable stay. The family who run it were all very friendly, generous and helpful. I was given a very comfortable bedroom with my own bathroom, and even a leaving present! (One of the owners own photographs of Porto). They made me feel very welcome, and it was nice to be able to talk to them about my experiences in Porto during the evening before I left. The location of this guest house is very convenient too because it is close to two Metro stations on the yellow line which runs right through the centre of Porto. The value for money was amazing too. I only paid £61 (68 euros) for my 3 nights stay. I would definitely stay there again if I were to return to Porto!

Excellent pour un, ou un couple qui veulent se sublimer de Porto, marcher et découvrir cette ville sublime.Dune grande propreté lhébergement, la famille vous accueille chaleureusement et vous laisse à vos découvertes.Non ce ne sont pas des chambres pour regarder la télé, dailleurs il ny en à pas ;)Non cest un pour se reposer en sérénité plus que confortablement. La mama, le papa et le fils dune grande discrétion mais présent!Je le conseil vivement comme petit nid, pour se poser les jambes.

J’ai visité Porto, belle ville avec ses habitants aussi chaleur dont trois sur deux parles au moins en anglais ou français voir Espagnol etc..on y vit bien à Porto, en terme de transport, restauration, l’entrée est gratuite dans la plus part de musées que j’ai visité, mais j’ai rencontré du monde dont pour la plus se sont plaints pour leur logement ne vous fiez pas au prix le plus bas, j’ai rencontré des personnes qui changé d’appartements ou d’auberge de jeunesse parce que c’était ce qu’il s’y attendait, je vous conseille vivement ce hôte, vous n’allez pas regretter tout est propre et nickel plus que certains aux hôtel.

El personal fue muy atento, incluso me hicieron el favor de inprimir los billetes. La habitacion muy comoda y luminosa y el labavo MUY limpios! 100% recomendable!!Ademas esta al lado de una estacion de metro que te deja en el centro!
