Timo musical para turistas: Puedo escribir esta opinión como músico y conocedor del fado: nunca había visto a tres músicos (guitarra portuguesa, guitarra española, cantante) cantar con tanto desgano, como un "bolo" sin importancia. He visto (y escrito una revisión) para Casa Hilario, en Coimbra, y sé de lo que hablo porque puedo comparar, además: en la Casa da Guitarra de Porto los músicos se comportan casi con desprecio por los turistas. Veinte minutos de música, 10 minutos con un vino de descanso, y finalmente otros 10 minutos más de música sin pasión alguna, sin explicar absolutamente nada, sin casi mirar al público, hablando entre los músicos tipo "a ver a qué hora acaba esto". Como músico, jamás me había sentido tan despreciado por otros músicos como en este sitio. El único que se salvaba un poco era el intérprete de guitarra portuguesa. La cantante pasaba de todo, y el intérprete de guitarra española pifiaba notas como si no le interesara estar allí. Desafío a los propietarios del lugar a que den una explicación. Esta crítica muy negativa está fundamentada (adjunto fotos de la experiencia), tanto por la comparativa con experiencias similares en otra ciudad, como por mi conocimiento musical. Sugiero a los turistas EVITAR este espectáculo.

If you're a musician, or music lover, you cannot miss the multiple string instruments handmade by Alfredo Teixeira! From the portuguese guitar to the ukelele, passing by the mandoline, all are unique. They also have fado shows in another building, close to Dom Luis I bridge, where you can enjoy wonderful fado performers, and very knowledgeable staff (thank you Cristinas) that will help you choosing the right instrument (my case, a "cavaquinho"). Discovering this place made my trip to Porto unforgettable!!

An amazing shop for guitars. It is small but the staff are super friendly and knowledgable. I wanted to buy a guitar there but unfortunately had to leave porto early. Best guitar shop I found in Portugal! Oh, and, Portuguese guitars are stunningly beautiful! I will definitely return there one day!

A good show. I wished I knew Portuguese to have better understanding of the performance. It would have been excellent if the organizers could make a cheap copy of the lyrics for a non_portuguese speaker.

Die Leitung hat ein Gitarrenbauer, der freundlich alle Instrumente erklärt. Kein Kaufzwang. Tolle Auswahl ausgefallener Saiteninstrumente.

Concierto de fado cada día a las 18:00 por 14€. Te asignan los asientos por orden de compra de las entradas. Sala pequeña (unos 40 asientos) y con muy buena acústica. Grandes artistas: Ana Margarida tiene una voz increíble y los dos guitarristas muy buenos. Merece la pena.

Asistimos a un concierto de Fados y fue una experiencia maravillosa. La cantante tiene una voz mágica y los músicos muy profesionales. Totalmente recomendable

We fell in love with this shop in Porto. We were treated very nicely and had expert help in buying a beautiful Mandolin. Now that we are back in the states we are looking for a Mandolin teacher so we can learn to play this great instrument. It really is a great place to visit and learn about these locally made instruments.
