Adorei.

We stayed two nights at Quinta das Ratoeira on our way from Seville to Lisbon. We particulary wanted to visit wineries in the Alentejo Region and this was an excellent base. Our hosts Patricia and Pedro showed us around the property and even took us through their home. Pedro gave us a good introduction to the tahla winemaking method. He does about 10% of his production this way. He also showed us the 1200 year old olive tree on their property as well as the springs that fed the Roman Villa next door. All fascinating stuff. From here we visited Quinta do Quetzal, Herdade do Rocim and Ribafreixo Wineries. We had great lunches at QdQ and Ribafreixo. The wines and food were excellent value. We also visited St. Cucufate Roman Ruins next door as well as the old church of St Antonio for great view of the surrounding area. Our stay was one of the highlights of our trip away.

Great stay! Patricia was very helpful and a wonderful host. Our favorite was watching the sunset over the vineyard from the patio hammocks.

This is a beautiful place for quiet, natural beauty and exploring a working vineyard. There are six rooms in the middle of the grapes - each room with its own hammock. Patricia, the host, is delightful and provides homemade goodies with breakfast. If your idea of night life is watching stars, then this is your place!

About two hours from the hustle and bustle of Lisbon is an oasis of rural charm and quiet. Quinta das Ratoeiras offers a very personal experience with it's six rooms (each with it's own patio hammock) and wonderful, local breakfast. Don't miss the tomatillo jam or the grapes from the surrounding vineyards! Walk through the vineyards and ask about the 1000 year old olive trees.

Incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was very good. Host was lovely. Only downside, I arrived late and there is no restaurant on site.

A exigir rápida repetição!

When you are looking for a remote and quiet place to stay overnight or for some days this one may fit. Nice and clean rooms with new furniture and a little terace. Extraordinary breakfast for Portugal. Patricia is a nice host and speaks fluent English. The place is just a little hard to find since there are no signs guiding to the Quinta.
