The best fish I have ever had. We had salmon and seabass which were cooked perfectly on coals out the front for very reasonable prices.

De tonijn was veel te ver gegrild,...
Voor de vis moet je hier niet zijn, voor de vriendelijke bediening kan je wel een glaasje gaan drinken. Goede wijnen aan goede prijs.

Called in as a must to try the fresh fish cooked outside on the coals.
Played it safe and had the salmon, it was delicious. Staff were brilliant, glad there English is better than our Portuguese.

Comida, atendimento e sítio maravilhoso. Ficamos no 1º andar com uma vista sobre as docas.
Comemos carapau e sardinhas ambos grelhados na brasa. Acompanhados por batatas e legumes salteados.
Para os amantes de bom peixe grelhado na hora é o sítio ideal.

The seafood was not the best definitely not fresh. Portions where much smaller than I expected for the price. This restaurant was much cheaper than the ones opposite which are very expensive but for the money we saved I don't think it was worth it. The staff are very friendly however but they should pay focus on their food

Excelente pescado a la brasa! Nosotros comimos el mix que nos recomendó el camarero que incluía 5 sardinas, una caballa, un rodaballo y una dorada por 37 euros... Increíblemente bueno todo el pescado! No comimos en la terraza porque era diciembre aunque tenía buena pinta la terraza.

Muy buena materia prima que te la hacen a la brasa justo al lado. Puedes comer dentro o fuera en unas cristaleras donde no se huele nada y se está fenomenal. Muy buenos precios por lo que comes. Muy recomendable

Tasty traditionally grilled fish and a nice balcony, but the service and timing still needs and improvement. We waited for longer than and hour for our food (plate of a grilled fish for 3) and got our complaints ignored.

Posto carino, pesce buono e fresco. Abbiamo preso un mix di pesci grigliati a euro 37.00 con patate e insalatina. In 2 non siamo riusciti a finirlo (ce lo siamo portati a casa era troppo buono...). Servizio cordiale e veloce. Consigliatissimo

Miam miam. Nous avons été bien reçu dans ce charmant restaurant. Nous voulions du poisson braisé bien frais : c'est bien cela. On nous a conseillé le "mixed grilled" a deux et c'était vraiment copieux.
Attention si vous êtes en terrasse il y'a ses mouettes qui font leur besoin Depuis là haut sans crier gare. Choisissez un emplacement stratégique.
Dommage pour le serveur qui parle moyennement anglais mais finalement on y a passer un bon moment et nous sommes répartis avec un petit doggy bag.

Avoid this place. Although the fish is good. The restaurant states prices per kilo but charges you the kilo price regardless of the weight. Better still they don't weigh the fish at all. They laugh it off with the statement 2 people is one kilo fish. Strange...

El camarero que atienda la terraza superior un poco pesado intentando convencer los platos que le convienen. Te sirven entrantes sin consultar cómo en otros muchos sitios de la zona que evidentemente luego incrementan la cuenta. Muy buena la salsa de las patatas cocidas, que no están incluidas en los platos, haya ir pedirlas aparte. La terraza está muy bien porque evitas el olor directo de las parrillas de la zona.

Good restaurant with fresh fish.
We have ordered shrimps with olive oil and garlic, doradinha, tuna steak and horse mackarel and all was delicious. The portions were big enough and tasty.
One must definetly try this restaurant if is into fish and sea food.
P.S.: For dessert, try the biscuit cake. It is awesome!

Lamentablemente sito para comer, servicio muy muy lento. Reservamos mesa para las 14h y a las 16h aun no nos habian servido, nos tuvimos que ir sin haber comido el plato principal.

Très bon restaurant, le saumon et le maquereau étaient super. Les prix sont très corrects pour nous français. Le personnel est très aimable et fait tout pour essayer de parler français quand on ne comprend pas le portugais. Je recommande !
Les portions étaient parfaites, on n'avait plus faim après. Précisons que nous avions mangé le pâte de thon avec les olives (payants) posé sur la table à notre arrivée.
Bref c'était top !

Sieht von außen gut aus. Tolle gemütliche Dachterrasse. Leider war das Essen das Gegenteil. Der Thunfisch war trocken wie Gummi und die Sardinen noch mit komplettem Darminhalt.Wir waren nicht die einzigen, die das Essen haben zurück gehen lassen. Eine Entschädigung haben wir auch nicht bekommen. Schade.

Es war wirklich super - große Portion frischer Fisch zu einem sehr fairen Preis. Wir haben uns zu Zweit die Mixed Fischplatte geteilt, dazu Kartoffeln und Gemüse und waren pappe satt. Auch die Garnelen vorweg waren wirklich gut.
Was an diesem Ort auch einfach stimmt ist die Atmosphäre - direkt hinter dem Restaurant wird von einem ganz sympathischen Koch unter freiem Himmel gegrillt.

Excelente local, platos de pescado fresco pasados por la brasa...una auténtica delícia. Desde el cocinero, a pie de calle, al cuidado de la materia prima y dándole brasa a cualquiera de los pescados explícitos en la carta; pasando por la amabilidad del encargado ese día, y sus camareros, recomiendo muy mucho visitar este local. Nivel alto en todos los sentidos.
Y si algo no te gusta, te lo retiran y no te lo cobran, un detalle que agradecer.
Precio/ calidad : muy justo. Alto.

This very unassuming street hosts this amazing BBQ fish restaurant. We had grilled horse mackerel, octopus salad and a large skewer of grilled squid and prawns. The whole meal was super delicious and reasonably priced. One of my best seafood experiences. They also have a large terrace to sit on if the weather is good. Place inside is very modern and the whole meal was very enjoyable, they speak English and German here as well as the obligatory Portuguese.

The carapau (horse mackerel) was delicious. The mixed salad was strange, more pickles than salad. I expected the common tomato, lettuce, onion and olive oil thing. Fish, salad, beer for 14, a bit above average. Nice guy outside grilling the fish, speaks German. Waiters speak English.

Awesome food! Some other reviews seem outdated, the inside is very modern and cozy. The fish is freshly grilled on the street by two very lovely and nice men. The fish platter for 2 people for 37€ was more than enough and contained some of the best fish I have ever had! The seasoning was great. There were potatoes on the side. Vegetables would have been nice but then you could also share it with 3 people and geht starters or side dishes. The waiters were really welcoming and friendly. I have nothing bad so say about this restaurant.

Tardaron mucho en servirnos. Media hora sin restaurante lleno.
Pedimos patatas, ensalada mixta (totalmente prescindible), calamar y sardinas.
No tiene agua mineral sino filtrada a 2€ los 700ml.
Te ponen un cesto de pan aunque no lo pidas. También amenizan la espera con unas olivas negras y un paté con mini biscotes. Práctica habitual en Portugal. Si no lo comes no te lo cobran
De postre pedimos mousse de lima. Rico y abundante.

Pour un prix convenable sinon inférieur à ceux de la rue, vous avez le cuisinier qui vous grille un bar comme il le faut ( pas toujours le cas à porto!), une terrasse ombragée sans les bruits de la rue,, une serveuse qui sait de couper le poisson le tout avec le sourire et de l'humour. Il faut faire le détour et ne pas rester dans les bouges de porto qui servent la même mauvaise cuisine. ET Le tout en français!!

DO NOT COME... Maybe for tourists it can be pleasant, by pleasant I mean you will not die, we hope. Bad service, weird decoration, bad food and small portions.
Very overpriced for what you get.
Places like this should not be open, especially in Matosinhos, because it's an insult,and will make all people think that it's all the same as this...
This area is one of the best in the country to find fish/see food, but this place it's just killing the magic... PLEASE DO NOT TRY, YOU WILL GET THE WRONG EXPERIENCE EVER!

Pretty bad service: we ordered Lipton ice tea and specialy mentioned "Lipton" not "Nestea", stuff got it right, well we got Nestea any way without any excuses. Same happened with main dish, we asked about "mixed fish plate" because it should have Dorado inside. After a while waiter told that they don't have Dorado at the moment and they can exchange it with Salmon. We cancel our order and left the restaurant, but outside in the "fridge" was plenty of Dorado !

De passage à Porto m'a sœur ma inviter à ce restaurant, déco sympa terrasse avec vue bof et on sent les odeurs des évacuations des cuisines.
Ma sœur commande des daurades et moi calamars, jusque ici tout va bien.
Sur la table à côté des français le serveur enleve la tête et l'arrête de la daurade, à notre table les daurades arrivent et le serveur ne demande même pas si on veux qu'il prépare le poisson...
Ét la il m'annonce qu'ils se sont aperçus à la cuisson que les calamars étaient impropres à consumer !!!!
Il dit la même chose à un groupe de 4 allemands sur la table à côté, ils se lèvent et partent.
Du coup je suis rester et commander daurade. Ça veux dire qu'il laissent traîner des produits périmés dans leur cuisine, c'est pas sérieux même si c'est honnête.
Les prix son excessifs et rien les justifie, ils sont de l'ordre de ce qu'on peut trouver en France c'est pour dire...
Jai L'impression que c'est un piège à touristes.
