Bad dining experience!! The place wasn’t full but we waited one hour just for our food to come. And there is nothing to special about the food so it’s definitely not worth the waiting time. The staffs do not seem to be trained properly and the service is slow. And we waited for another 15 mins just to get our bill. Please be prepared to dine for at least 2 hours at this place. Never come here if you are in a rush. I strongly do not recommend this place.

Bloody marvellous absolutely sublime had Black Pork, Beef Wellington and chicken stuffed with chorizo and cheese with mushroom risotto every meal was beautifully cooked and tasted amazing would definitely recommend x

We had a wonderful dinner at Costume Bistro as a group of 6 after not finding a table at other restaurants! Costume Bistro was beautiful, with excellent service, and the food was delicious. It had enough menu items for our group of 3 vegetarians and 3 meat eaters. It was affordable for a nice restaurant and a great overall experience. It’s a little hidden away, as it’s up a narrow alley, but is a short walk from Sao Bento. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!

I didn't expect so nice interior. Great surprise. I liked the atmosphere - cozy, intimate and little bit posh. I ordered "Corvine, moqueca and prawns" and I was not sure what I'll get. And it was delicious! Nicely presented and absolutely delicious! As a dessert I chose chocolate cake and it was also very tasty. I didn't like the caramel decoration, but the mousse was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place.

Nice atmosphere, waiters speak fluent English and are very welcoming, helpful and prompt. Very good value for the price, our fish dishes were fabulous. We've had sea bass, and tuna with thai salad.

C'était excellent, on s'est ragalés du début à la fin. Super accueil et service. Endroit très chic. Entre 30 et 40€ chacun avec entrée plat et 2 bouteilles de vin. Ça vaut vraiment le coup pour profiter d'un bon repas à 2 !

Gostei deste restaurante. Com a entrada numa travessa, surpreende pelo espaço amplo, elegante e calmo da sala de jantar.
A decoração é bastante diferente da maioria dos restaurantes da zona e por isso vale a pena conhecer.
A comida estava bastante boa. Comemos uma entrada de carpacio de bacalhau boa, um prato de salmão com massa e molho teriaki bastante saboroso e na sobremesa um milfolhas muito bom.
Os funcionários são bastante gentis e educados.
Pagamos aprox 30 euros por pessoa.

Cierto es que llegamos tarde (15 minutos) con respecto a la hora que habíamos reservado. Pero nos han tenido esperando 1 HORA Y CUARTO para cenar. Cuando me he levantado a la hora para pedir una explicación me ha dicho que iba a consultar y ni se han dignado en venir a darme una disculpa. La comida no merece la clavada que nos han dado, y cuando nos hemos ido no nos han dado ninguna explicación ni disculpa. Por mi parte no recomiendo este restaurante por su mal servicio y su falta de preocupacion por el cliente. Bochornoso lo que he visto hoy

Encontramos este restaurante através das recomendações do Google. O ambiente é requintado, embora tenhamos achado que estava escuro demais, mas é a nossa opinião. Os empregados são simpáticos e o que gostamos mais foram das entradas e a sobremesa. 1 Carpaccio de bacalhau e 1 de vieiras. De sobremesa panacota de café. Estavam muito bons. De uma forma mais geral, pensamos que a relação qualidade/preço é um bocado exagerada.

O que eu posso dizer, falta de profissionalismo total!!!
Depois de ter efectuado uma reserva e a mesma ter sido confirmada, cheguei ao restaurante e qual o meu espanto quando uma empregada me disse que não tinham reserva. Quando a ia começar a questionar outra empregada chegou dizendo que havia reserva, mas que um cliente se tinha sentado e que naquele momento não havia mesas disponíveis para nos sentarmos.
Eu voltei a reforçar que tinha reserva e a empregada disse, “o que quer que faça não posso ser indelicada com os clientes”, irónico, pensava que também era cliente mas pelos vistos comigo já não havia problema de ser indelicada.
Solução apresentada, esperar até que alguém acabasse de comer. Sendo ao almoço e tendo tanto eu como a minha mulher pouco tempo resolvemos ir embora.
Neste processo todo não houve uma admissão de culpa ou um pedido de desculpas por parte dos funcionários do restaurante.
Quando sai tentei fazer uma reclamação na plataforma digital onde fiz a reserva e mais uma vez fico espantado quando vi que no restaurante tinham cancelado a minha reserva impossibilitando que pudesse reclamar ou classificar o serviço.
Estou muito desiludido, foi péssimo.

Situé dans une ruelle au calme le cadre de ce restaurant est magnifique.
Le personnel est très accueillant et d une grande gentillesse.
Nous avons dégusté des plats d une grande finesse et avons passé une excellente soirée

This place is has a nice elegant and romantic vibe. I, however, was not impressed with the overpriced food and the tiny portions. I truly dislike risotto and that was pretty much the ONLY option for every single entree. This was a huge put off for me. The meat and seafood are plenty flavorful, however the portions are just too small to justify the prices. Especially when most restaurants offer something similar in either cheaper prices or larger portions to fit the price.
Also this place is in a really odd location, requiring us to walk through a super sketchy alley to get to it.

Tutto piuttosto buono ma molto costoso. Il polpo lo abbiamo trovato più buono in una tavola calda a Tomar dove abbiamo speso la metà e mangiato il triplo. In conclusione: bellissimo ambiente, curato, servizio impeccabile, piatti con un grande impatto visivo ma abbiamo mangiato due bocconi e pagato per una cena intera.

入口からはよくわかりませんが、中に入ると広い空間があり、ほぼ満席でした。落ち着いた雰囲気で食事が楽しめます。お料理も盛り付けが綺麗で、大変美味しかったです。この料理のクオリティ、店内の雰囲気で、このお値段なら安いと思います。

Great atmosphere and decor, staff was very friendly and competent.
Everything we ordered was great. For starters we had crispy crepe shrimp and sweet and sour sauce and Portuguese sausage fondant in filó pastry, egg yolk. For the main course we had Chicken stuffed with chorizo and cheese, breaded in herbs crust and Wellington tournedo (Puf steak with ham and mushrooms). As a dessert we had the Chocolate cake with mousse. Wth 2 glasses of wine, a bottle of water, and 2 expressos, we spent 70euros for 2 persons. It is really worthy!

Acabamos en este restaurante de rebote y nos sorprendió. Los platos están riquísimos. Un carpaccio de bacalao con un toque de naranja que nos sorprendió. Un rissoto de 10 para acompañar una lubina, el salmón con salsa teriyaki genial, más los postres, todo espectacular. Por 58€ para 2 personas, vale cada euro pagado. Me queda otro día en Oporto y volveré. Gracias por la atención de los camareros. Ah, y por fin pudimos pagar con tarjeta.

Very nice spot with great food. Apparently they do a business lunch menu as well, but it was only in Portuguese and translating did not help much, so you have to be in the know. It is very good value for money. We ordered off of their main menu, which is slightly more expensive, but the quality was great, service was friendly and the setting is really nice

The duck was undercooked, almost raw (see picture). The service was very poor. Whoever owns this restaurant either doesn’t train their staff properly, or they just don’t care about their customers. A very disappointing dining experience.

Dieser Restaurant befinddet sich in einer kleinen Nebengasse neben der Avenida dos Aliados.
Es wird von den Bänker sehr besuncht für das Mittagsmenu.
Das Mittagsmenu war sehr gut und günstig.
Kleiner Städtereiseinfo für Porto.
Verlangt wenn möglich immer den Mittagsmenue, der liegt in diesem Fall bei ca. 7.50€ / Menu inkl. Glas Wein & Cafe.
Habe leider keine Fotos gemach, wollt nicht zu gross auffallen in mitten der Bänker.
Das Essen war exelent, nur die Portion könnt für mich ein bischen mehr sein.

You enter and you think - oh my god, what a posh place, I didn't want a posh dinner!? But then you sit down, you realize that the prices are actually OK, you are being served by people who actually know and then you are served great wine and great food - I do recommend very much! The interior is too dark and serious for my taste and I would do it differently, but... Get ready to be inspired (but not pushed) to show your good manners at the table and get ready to be the center of the attention while at the same time not to feel uncomfortably in the environment completely. But, do not take flip-flops here :)

Dieses Bistro ist etwas versteckt und ehrlich gesagt: Ohne Google wäre ich wohl nie in diese Gasse gelaufen. Es lohnt sich allerdings, in diese Gasse zu gehen. Dies ist nicht das einzige Restaurant, bei welchem sich ein Besuch lohnt.
Wir waren rundum glücklich: Gute Speisekarte, freundliches Personal, gutes Essen. Ich kann einen Besuch nur empfehlen.

Excelente opción de comida internacional. Coqueto salón, bien decorado y con un servicio muy esmerado. Todos los platos muy buenos y nos prepararon una tabla de quesos que no estaba en la carta. Aunque no es un lugar barato, evita pedir vino Oporto de aperitivo, 6€ la copa; el resto no nos pareció caro, unos 35 € p/pers con botella de vino incl.

Wir haben zu 4 in diesem Restaurant Silvester gefeiert - natürlich mit Reservierung.
Der Abend war perfekt.
Der Service war schnell, aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Alle Sonderwünsche bezüglich des Essens wurden uns erfüllt.
Das Essen (4-Gang Menü) war absolut lecker. Wir haben noch nie so gut gegessen wie dort. Der Wahnsinn.
Das Restaurant ist sehr schön und auch gemütlich zum Sitzen.
Es gibt absolut nichts schlechtes zu sagen. Klare Empfehlung.
Beim nächsten Porto Urlaub werden wir wohl wieder dorthin gehen.

Service déplorable. Nous avons été un peu en retard car le restaurant est pas facile à trouver...et ben les serveurs nous l'ont bien fait sentir. Des personnes arrivé après nous on était servi, alors que nous nous attendons encore les cartes...bref déçu, y avait sûrement mieux. Je ne retourne pas ! Jamais. Mais Porto est une très belle ville... essayer juste un autre restaurant.

Belle surprise ! Restaurant situé dans une petite rue, assez chic. Il est conseillé de réserver. Un peu d’attente pour le service mais cela en valait le coup. Risotto excellent, cuisine fine. Nous y sommes allés à midi et est surtout fréquenté par des habitués. J’y retournerai.

Leuk restaurant. Het was goed (verdient sterretje meer). Grote wijnkaart. Helaas niet in het Engels. Bediening sprak wel zeer goed Engels.
De bediening ging naar onze mening iets te snel. Hoog tempo en weinig rust tussen de gangen door.
Qua eten super. Bediening kom op iets rustiger en iedereen gaat lekker.

Knapp an 5 Sternen vorbei; leider mussten wir ziemlich warten, bis unser Essen dann endlich kam. Das Essen hat aber gut geschmeckt, obwohl der Caprese Salat mit Mango etwas trocken war und mit Olivenöl aufgepeppt werden musste. Ansonsten waren wir aber sehr zufrieden.

Great place,great food and fantastic atmosphere. Go to Porto often and visit bistro every time,not only for the food but for the very good wine as well. Totally recommend.

The food was exceptional! Had the scallop as a starter and they were just perfectly cooked, with the cauliflower mouseline and the ham... the mix of flavours was exquisite! A must!

The service is very good. The staff polite and kind. I liked the space however doesn't have a good views. I recommend this place for people who are looking for a fancy and cozy restaurant. $$$

Intérieur très chaleureux, beau restaurant. Personnel très serviable et aimable.
Nous avons adoré l entree au foie gras et nos plats (risotto de saint jacques et le boeuf Wellington) , un délice !!!!!
Plats très bien présentes!
Dessert re-visites et délicieux ! Le mille feuille est léger et succulent !
Allez y les yeux fermés !

Os tesouros mais preciosos são aqueles que se encontram bem escondidos.. Dai o Costume Bistro estar tão bem guardado..
Desde o local mítico onde se encontra, ao bom acolhimento que é feito assim que se entra porta a dentro, o requinte do espaço que eleva a fasquia para a qualidade da comida e à confirmação da mesma assim que se vê o prato e desde o 1º paladar ao ultimo.. Tudo seleccionado e confeccionado com rigor e com uma qualidade que percebemos que encontramos o verdadeiro tesouro.
Se procuram um ambiente relaxado, longe da confusão este é o sitio perfeito para estar.
Um obrigado muito grande a todos os seus colaboradores, que me proporcionaram um jantar para mais tarde recordar, junto da minha mulher que se encontra gravida e que a nossa menina que estava la dentro não parava de dar sinais que estava a adorar.

Nice food but the experience was awful. Small group lunch with reservation and pre chosen menu took about 1 hour to be served. With consequent delays the lunch took more than 2 hours.
The waiter rudness and behaviour towards the situation was unacceptable.

L endroit est plutôt charmant. L'accueil est bon et professionnel. Il y avait une table dune vingtaine de personnes qui venait de s'installer mais nous etions les 3 seuls autres.
Nous sommes arrivés à 20h20 et avons été servi à 22h. C'est tres bien présenté mais la viande et le poisson etait sec l'accompagnement bizarre. ...
Nous avons eu la surprise de découvrir une araignée dans le fond de mon verre et pour clore le tout nous payons 2 euros les olives qu'on nous apporte des qu'on s'installe.
Bref sur la forme ils présentent bien
Sur le fond c'est a déconseiller
