Excellent central location, beautiful, clean and stylish apartment - was just perfect for our short visit to Porto. The staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful, taking plenty of time to make recommendations for sightseeing, restaurants etc. Fab spot, would stay again. Obrigada!

Great location, right in the city center, good (fish) restaurants close by. And close to a lot of top sightseeing and shopping street.
The apartment is located on walking distance to the best area of the boulevard next to river.
There's a supermarket next to the entrance, where you can buy coffee and sandwiches or empanadas as well (love it).

Great hotel in a superb location. Staff are so friendly and helpful and as it was our first trip to Porto the receptionist sat us down with a map and a glass of port and pointed out the sights of Port. We had a beautiful, spacious room and breakfast is excellent. Highly recommend this great hotel.

Das kleine Hotel ist wirklich sehr schick hergerichtet, gemütlich, sehr sauber, hat eine wunderbare Lage und alle sind super freundlich. Ich würde sehr gerne fünf Sterne geben, allerdings muss ich einfach einen Punkt abziehen, da es schalltechnisch wirklich schlecht isoliert ist. Geräusche der anderen Gäste sind noch ertragbar, aber der Krach der Straße ist wirklich krass. Es fühlt sich selbst im dritten Stock so an als würde man direkt auf der Straße schläfen. Dazu rollt der Verkehr bis in die späten Nachtstunden.

Lots has been said about My Ribeira on other reviews and most I agree with so all I can say is I would thoroughly recommend the hotel and next time we are in Porto (and we will be) we will return there. A note on the tunnel would be that we were on the first floor and it only becomes noisy at rush hour, with the blinds shut it is lessened to the point that only motorcyclists who like the sound of their engine give it a blip in there and create and noise, which we found quite funny. Another thing to add would be to visit The Wine Box next door, its great.

Personal muy atento, excelente ubicación, habitaciones muy bonitas. Fuimos a pasar un puente y sin duda si volvemos a Porto no nos importaría volver a alojarnos en ese lugar. El único pero que se le puede poner es que no tenga ascensor, pero eso es algo que ya sabíamos cuando lo contratamos y para nosotros no supuso ningún problema. El desayuno estaba muy bueno.

Hotel bonito y cómodo ubicado en pleno centro de Oporto a tan solo dos minutos de la Ribeira. Además, este pequeño hospedaje tan solo cuenta con 6 habitaciones, si no recuerdo mal, por lo que es muy tranquilo. La única pega que está al lado de un túnel por el que suelen pasar coches, por lo que creo que sí te hospedas en las dos primeras plantas quizás puedas tener algo de ruido.

My Ribeira Guest House is a really lovely property. It is in a convenient location close to the main tourist area and less than a ten minute walk to everything else you would want to see. There is easy access to bus service and the closest metro station is within walking distance. The service is wonderful. The people there are available and eager to help and have great suggestions for things to do. The room was very clean and serviced daily. The staff really paid attention to you and did not try to come and clean while you were in the room or make you feel like you need to get out so they can clean, which I hate at hotels. One note - it is very close to a high traffic tunnel that is noisy. I had ear plugs and no problems at all with the noise, but people who are very sensitive may have a problem. There are rooms that face away from the street that are much quieter. I really loved this place and highly recommend it.

when the cars coming out from the tunnel stopped honking, this place wa truly all I could have wished for. TV-less rooms with a vintage turntable and books. Adorable. Don't forget to pick your vintage vinyl records on floor 1!

Hôtel bien situé au coeur du centre et près du douro. Très bel hôtel. La chambre était superbe. Avec belles pierres apparentes. Très propre. Literie et oreillers au top. Dur de quitter le lit le matin. Petite kitchenette bien équipée. Le seul point négatif serait le bruit car l'hôtel est situé à la sortie d'un tunel... Cela ne nous à pas plus gêné que cela. Un dressing serait aussi un plus.

Das Hotel liegt mitten Ribeira, den Doro in Sichtweite. Alle wesentlichen Hot Spots sind zu Fuss erreichbar. Netter Empfang und gute Tips für den Aufenthalt. Für unseren Stadtbesuch mit einer Übernachtung optimal. Ein öffentliches Parkhaus ist auch in der Nähe.

My Ribiera's location near the river, zee wAwzwqwEZwqdw serves wzz betwqxween downtown and the bridge over the Doura river gave me ready walking access to much of Porto. But what really gave access to Porto's delights was the patient help the staff gave me... they took the time to figure out what i was really interested in, and gave me some historical background on this fascinating city in a fascinating country. Great hotel for the price paid. Good central location - Porto isnt a large city but hotels location close to water and Dom Luis bridge helped with getting bearings. Be aware that rooms can be noisy all day/night due to traffic/tunnel outside - i took ear plugs and this helped greatly. Staff extremely friendly and knowledgable. Breakfast available although €10 maybe slightly expensive for whats offered. Nice touch with record player in room. Would recommend and stay again if in Porto.

Everything was amazing! From start to finish the guy at the reception was so helpful and friendly, he provided all kinds of info and help and was always available to answer any questions. My husband was sick and he even offered a tea and honey to help, super thoughtful! There is a snack bar/wine bar in the reception, as well as room service available ,the room was beautiful, fully equipped with a kitchennete, mini bar with wine and water, tea, etc. The view was beautiful, we woke up to a tile building and a half view if the bridge. The bathroom super clean and with towels, shampoo, soap and lotion. Finally the location was amazing, we walked everywhere and paid only 25 euros from the airport on a busy saturday! We will definetely stay here again!

What a charming guest house in a perfect location in Porto! Youre walking distance to everything from the location. The room was comfortable and very adorably decorated. Id highly recommend a stay here again. There wasnt a TV in the room, but with Porto being such an amazing city to discover, I didnt miss the TV one bit!

Very handy location and overall a really nice property with friendly staff and good little cafe for breakfast. If you go for a room with the balcony - Id say no.7 is better than no.8. The only disappointment was how noisy it is there (just above the tunnel entrance/exit) - a lot of traffic below. We shut the shutters at night so it didnt really affect us but something to be aware of.

Our favourite and sadly last stay on our trip, would go back in a heartbeat! The room, the staff and coffee were all so lovely. The downside for some, traffic (honking) noise but we got used to it.

I liked the Ribeira area- couldnt have been better but the location was much louder than I expected. There was constant honking and very loud people outside the hotel at all hours. My bathroom had some hair on the sink and floor when I arrived.

Convenient location, rustic charm, quiet once traffic slowed and shutters closed, comfortable bed, and very clean. Access would be an issue for some as no lift and stairs are steep. Unfortunately air con was not working but I was able to use fan and there was a nice breeze from the river.

My Ribeira Guest House was my first choice for a stay. However, I tried to book the hotel once and was told my credit card was invalid and the reservation cancelled. So, I tried again and was once again told my credit card was invalid and the reservation would be cancelled.
A week later, My Ribeira Guest House managed to *actually* charge my card for a night I didn't use.
Throughout the entire process, they were INCREDIBLY unresponsive, not responding to any of my emails.

Bien situé - Beau et très propre - Photos du site fidèle à la réalité - Personnel / Propriétaire très gentil qui parle français et qui donne de bons conseils de visites et de restos - Y retournerait sans hésitations - NB: pas d'ascenseur mais après avoir visité Lisbonne, Sintra, Porto, Guimarães, Bom Jésus et Braga en 10 jours, quelques marches de plus ne posent pas problème!

Rooms are simple but nice. Owner is very helpful. I've read other reviews about street noise and while you can hear it in the rooms it didn't bother me (and I'm a light sleeper)- at least that is until the last night (FC Porto won the national championship, people were honking their horns until 2 am- but I'm not sure anywhere in Ribeira would have been any quieter then!) I didn't eat breakfast but others in our group did and said it was very good, however since breakfast costs €10 I'd rather go to a local bakery and get 2 pastries for about €2.
My only complaint is the shower/bathroom- if the lights in the bedroom aren't on, the bathroom is pretty dark, also the temperature on our shower (room 4) was difficult. It would often change back and forth between really hot and cold, and the 2nd person to shower often didn't have hot water. The other half of our party staying in room 1 and didn't have any problems.
The location is great, so many restaurants and wine bars in the area! No elevator but I didn't mind walking up the stairs. Request a 1st or 2nd floor room if you'd prefer to not have to do too many flights. I'd definitely recommend staying here!

Una estancia muy agradable. El establecimiento está muy bien situado, a escasos metros de la Ribeira y del Puente Luís I. En pleno casco antiguo de Oporto. El trato del personal ha sido muy profesional y atento, informando de todo aquello que podía ser de interés. El apartamento de dos habitaciones tiene unas vistas magníficas y el desayuno, preparado con mimo y esmero, es una muy buena manera de empezar el día. Sólo un pequeño pero (que ya conocíamos de antemano), el apartamento está en un quinto piso, ascensión que se hace un poco dura cuando vuelves después de un día entero de deambular. Cómo podéis suponer, sin dudarlo, repeteríamos!!!

Positivo: Difícil é dizer o que não gostei. Localização excelente e, sem dúvida, que as fotos fazem jus ao espaço. Absolutamente bonito, limpo, acolhedor, confortável. Sem dúvida que irei voltar e recomendar.. Negativo: Senti falta do estacionamento gratuito, bem como pequeno almoço incluído. Mas, sinceramente, o resto era tão bom que não houve problema. Há um estacionamento do outro lado da ponte D. Luís a 10€/24h. Mas sugiro à Guest House que disponibilize aos seus hóspedes o estacionamento gratuito ou 10€/dia no seu parque.

O pequeno almoço é muito simpático e o local muito aprazível.. Negativo: Faltam locais de arrumação de roupa. E a ausência de televisão, para quem vai sozinho, pode fazer a diferença.

Positiva: La encantadora habitación, el servicio muy atento y amable, las instalaciones, la localización (a una calle del río Duoro), la cafetería (pastelería artesana buenísima), la limpieza. Negativa: Pese a que la localización es muy buena, la habitación daba al túnel que hay al lado del hotel y se escuchaban algunas bocinas y ruidos de vehiculos. Aún así, en ningún momento llega a ser pesado ni molesto.

Sehr schönes, neu renoviertes, sauberes Hotel in der Altstadt mit äußerst geschmackvoll eingerichteten Appartments inkl. Miniküche. Allerdings war der Preis von ca. 112,- € schon recht hoch. Ok, Osterzeit, muss man sich vielleicht nicht wundern. Gleiches gilt für das zusätzlich zu zahlende Frühstück von 10,- € p.P. Im hauseigenen, ebenfalls sehr nett eingerichteten Cafe. Dafür haben wir in der Altstadt in Cafés und Bäckereien preiswerter und nicht minder lecker gefrühstückt.Die Lage in der Altstadt nur wenige Meter vom Douro-Fluß entfernt wäre fast perfekt, wenn nicht direkt vor dem Haus eine stark befahrene Straße vorbeiführen würde, die auch noch direkt neben dem Gebäude in einen Tunnel führt, der den Lärm weiter verstärkt. Trotzdem haben wir bei geschlossenen Fenstern sehr gut schlafen können. Wer das allerdings nur bei geöffneten Fenstern kann, der sollte sich etwas anderes suchen oder sehr gute Ohrstöpsel mitnehmen.Was in den sehr schön eingerichteten Zimmern allerdings fehlte, war ein Schrank oder eine Kommode für die Kleidung. Man lebt eher aus dem Koffer. Für ein paar Tage für uns jedoch nicht so tragisch.TV oder Radio gab es in unserem Zimmer nicht, dafür aber einen Plattenspieler. Eine sehr witzige und originelle Idee. Und dazu im Treppenhaus einen Korb mit Schallplatten. Leider leierte unser Plattenspieler fürchterlich trotz Versuchs über Pitch-Knopf die Geschwindigkeit zu regeln. Egal, wir haben uns über einen jaulenden Nat King Cole köstlich amüsiert! :)

Petit hôtel à deux pas de la douro et du fameux pont Luis. Le quartier est animé, le personnel de l’hôtel très accueillant. Un très bon week-end à porto. Attention, comme partout dans la ville quelques marches vous attendent pour atteindre votre chambre !

We stayed there for one night in February. Very comfortable. Very charming place. The place was nice and cozy. It was very cold outside and drizzling, it was great to check in and take a nice warm shower, then cozy up in the bed. Breakfast was 10 Euros and it was delicious. Very chic and beautiful design. I would stay there again. We loved it!
Things to note: If you are driving, there is no parking on the hotel premises, you have to park at the public parking structure under the park in the next block (aprox. 25 Euros overnight). There is no elevator so if you have heavy bags or don't want to climb up several flights of stairs, this is not for you. Also this is located almost at the mouth of the tunnel. Because we went in the winter, there wasn't a lot of traffic noise. But maybe it's a different story in the summer.

Nous avons vraiment apprécié l'emplacement de l'hôtel le personnel super agréable sympathique et à l'écoute et en plus qui parle français. Nous avons eu droit à un debriefing le jour de notre arrivée pour savoir où aller quels sont les sites à faire où manger et tout juste génial.Nous avons pu avoir la chambre dès notre arrivée à l'aéroport à savoir 9h et sans frais supplémentaires pour faire le tour de la ville c'était mieux sans valise c'est sûr.La propreté de la chambre irréprochable vraiment très propre. Le petit coin cuisine super pratique lorsque l'on fait des petits achats à mettre au frigo ou toutSimplement se faire un petit déjeuner tranquille tout es à proximité je valide a100%Le seul bémol le simple vitrage et la rue passante mais perso le bruit ne nous a pas du tout déranger.J'ai même eu droit à une bouteille de champagne gratuite pour mon anniversaire et un petit mot de l'hôtel.

Wir kamen nur zum Ausruhen. Das Lokal ist wunderbar eingerichtet und wirkt sehr gemütlich. Die Inhaberin ist außergewöhnlich freundlich. Kaffee, Kuchen und Croissants mit Marmelade schmecken klasse. Und auch eine kleine Auswahl an Craft Beer aus Porto und Wein gibt es.

Perfect accommodation. Low key but clean and beautiful balcony. The location is perfect - you're right by tourist spots and a block away from the river and walking distance to cross the river...the hotel staff is so sweet. We didn't buy breakfast just because we wanted to go out and fend for our own, but the hotel is great. No elevator, but if you're up for the walk, the higher levels have really cute views. We were 4th floor, #8, and had a long balcony and lots of windows. Highly recommend! No spa or anything, but if you want that, go to port country and check out Douro.

El personal; tant en Diogo com la Natasha han estat uns "amfitrions" perfectes. Un 10!!!. Negatiu: La dutxa és petita.
Cal dir que com que es troba al costat d'un túnel hi ha força soroll que pot arribar a ser molt molest.
Potser caldria que l'esmorzar fos una mica més variat (si t'hi estàs més d'un parell de nits).
Però les coses bones ho compensen!

Zentrale Lage und freundliches Personal, das sind die Stärken des Hotels. Die nächtliche Ruhestörung durch den Verkehr ist gravierend. Die Betten sind unbequem. Der Confort im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels ähnlicher Preiskategorie bescheiden. Winziges Bad, kein Fernseher.

Положительный: Расположение, чистота, завтрак, доброжелательность и полученные рекомендации от персонала, дизайн номера, удобная кровать. Негативный: Напор и температура воды в душе; если вы приезжаете ненадолго, то все можно потерпеть, а вот если планируете на несколько дней будет некомфортно (душ новый и чистый, но очень маленький, обладательницам длинных волос будет оооочень сложно их промыть);
Мы сделали check out достаточно рано и персонал любезно разрешил оставить вещи, договорились что вернёмся к 16.00, но задержались на экскурсии, примерно в 16.05 позвонила менеджер и сказала, что ей нужно уходить, она переложила наши вещи в другое место, которое сложно назвать безопасным (под лестницу, к которой есть доступ у всех проживающих). Этот факт немного оставил неприятный осадок (просто мы были на подходе и просили подождать максимум 15 минут), хотя не повлиял на общее впечатление от места размещения, м бы все равно рекомендовали его!

Положительный: Расположение отличное! Все в пешей доступности! . Негативный: Дорога под окном! Машин не слышно, но Мотоциклисты очень стараются!!! Шумно!!!
Готовьтесь поднимать чемоданы на этаж сами и без лифта!!

Cute place but very few mod cons. Small room, no closet. No lift, only stairs. The better your view is, the higher the floor, the more painful the climb. We were on the 4th floor and our view was just ok.
Very noisy with all the Ribiera pedestrian and vehicle traffic. This hotel is just at the mouth of a tunnel. If only another block or two over, it may be better.
The room is charming but small. Many of the little charming offers don't actually work - like the record player. Cute, but didn't work. No TV or radio in the room either. Couldn't even open all the curtains.
The staff were extremely nice, and the coffee in the lobby was the best I had in Porto!

Je viens de me rendre compte que je suis déjà venu ici. Piège à éviter. Lits inconfortables. Bruit de la rue épouvantable.

Ótimo hotel boutique, bem localizado, quartos novos. Internet ótima. O charme é possuir uma vitrola em cada quarto, com uma pequena caixa com alguns vinis. A deficiência é só o banho. Apesar de bem quente e com bastante pressão, o boiler é pequeno. Para duas pessoas tomar banho seguidas, deve-se ser breve.

Pozytywna: Super lokalizacja, wszędzie łatwo można dostać się pieszo bądź komunikacją. Przyjemny bar na parterze i bardzo miła i pomocna obsługa :) polecam. Negatywna: Jedyną niedogodnością była bliskość ulicy i związany z nią hałas, ale takie uroki Porto i centralnej lokalizacji.

긍정적: 허니문이라 방 두개는 필요없었지만 숙소에서 강변을 보기위해 예약했습니다. 전망이 확 트이지는 않았지만 그래도 좋았어요~. 부정적: 체크인을 예약한 날짜 다음날 아침에 했는데
방이 준비가 안되어있었습니다. 설명이없길래 우리가 어제 예약했는데 왜 안되어있느냐 물어보니 직원 실수라고 조금만 기다려 달라고하더군요. 그에 따른 사과나 보상이 전혀 없었습니다. 슬리퍼가 있다고 써있었는데 숙소와보니 없었구요.

My husband and I loved this guest house. Beautiful, charming room, modern bathroom. Our room was near the top of the building so we had many steps to climb (no elevator) so be sure you are okay with stairs and luggage. The guest house is near the waterfront and the old town Porto. Wonderful restaurants and wine bars. We enjoyed the breakfast served at the guest house each morning. This was a good value and we would recommend it to everyone who can handle stairs.

Pozytywna: Dobre śniadania, miła obsługa, bardzo czysto, codziennie sprzątane. Nasz apartament był wysoko ale widok był super.. Negatywna: trochę zimno w apartamencie. Trafiliśmy na chłodnie dni w Porto (9-10C)

Sehr schönes Zimmer, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, kleine Küchenzeile (für uns überflüssig), etwas enges Duschbad, himmlisches Doppelbett (190 cm x 160 cm), je nach Tageszeit lauter Straßenverkehr. Günstiges einfaches Frühstück mit sehr freundlichem Service.

My Ribeira Guesthouse ist ein kleines, nettes und gemütliches Hotel. Das Personal ist super nett und sehr hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war für eine Städtetour groß genug und sehr sauber. Positiv ist eine kleine Küchenzeile; insbesondere wegen des Kühlschrankes. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und man braucht keine 5 Minuten zur Ribeira mit allen seinen Lokalen. Dadurch und durch die Lage am Ende eines Tunnels ist es doch relativ laut; Oropax sind empfehlenswert. Insgesamt hat es uns aber sehr gut gefallen.Porto als Stadt ist sehenswert und ein Ausflug ans Meer gehört unbedingt dazu.

Very good service and nice people, room was nice and tidy. You have to take a stairs to enter your room, there is no elevator available. The rooms are a bit noisy, but the location and room are worth it.

Das kleine aber feine Haus sieht von aussen bereits sehr gepflegt aus.Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen von der Hausdame Natascha.Das Zimmer war super schöne und detailverliebt eingerichtet.Das Frühstück war nicht so 0815, sondern mit selbstgemachtemn Konfitüren und tollen Backwaren.Außerdem gab es dort den besten Kaffee in unserem ganzen Urlaub.DAS HOTEL KANN MAN AUF JEDEN FALL WEITEREMPFEHLEN....

We were a big group arriving quite late, and everything went quickly and smoothly. The rooms were immaculate and very modern. The location is right in the heart of the old city with tons of places to eat, drink, and shop. Breakfast was free and amazing and check-out was just as quick and painless as check-in. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Aspecto negativos pueden ser que algunas habitaciones dan a callejones y tienen poca luz.

Mooi hotel in en heel oud gebouw (muren van 1 meter dik...) midden in de stad en dichtbij de rio Douro. Aardig personeel. WiFi irritand met wachtwoord etc. Parkeren is iets lastig. Kamers zijn ruim een modern, maar niet veel licht van buiten (oud gebouw).
