Hostel organizado e bem localizado. Estar em reforma, o ambiente novo e dispojado, café da manha bom, o quarto possui um banheiro e cada cama tem armário para malas com fechadura magnética do mesmo cartao do quarto, os funcionários são prestativos e muitos educados.

El hostal está bien equipado y tiene una ubicación inmejorable. El desayuno es aceptable y los empleados son muy amables. El ambiente no nos gustó demasiado, estaba lleno de gringos de conversaciones y tono intrusivo. Pasamos casi todo el tiempo de nuestra estancia fuera.

An der Rezeption spricht man perfekt Englisch bzw mehrere Sprachen. Küche gut ausgestattet und sauber. Tolle Bar, super Team und die Gartenterasse herrlich um den Tag ausklingen zu lassen! Gute Musik!

Hostel maravilhoso, bem localizado. O ambiente é novo e moderno, café da manha excelente, cada quarto possui um banheiro e os funcionários são prestativos e gentis.
Além disso possui um bar com preços acessíveis e um terraço para conversar com os outros hóspedes.
Recepção fica aberta 24h.

If you walk back into a hostel at the end of your round-trip and you're greeted upon walking through the door with a huge grin, your name, and the line: "I thought we finally got rid of you!", you know you found a good place.
I stayed at Cats in Porto at the beginning and at the end of my first Portugal trip, at first because it's location makes it easy to reach by train and you can get everywhere within minutes. I returned because while it is a bit of a party hostel, it is not too much. If you want to have a quiet night you can, but if you want to connect with new people and go out you can do that just as easily. They offer a whole arrangements of trips, from pub crawls to tours to the Douro valley and more. The en-suite bathrooms also definitely are a big plus.
The staff are all friendly and in for a nice chat, and the services are good, but the vibe of the place rises and falls with the people in the hostel though. And when it became a bit colder we kind of missed a good lounge area inside. I heard this location opened not too long ago and I will definitely return, hoping to find it in an even better state.

This place has a great terrace and decent beds right in the middle of town. But charging full price for a place under construction is pretty wack. The staff are nice though.

The Cat’s Hostel is from Madrid Spain. The Cat’s Party Hostel is the best place to stay in Madrid. They recently purchased this location in Porto and are transforming it. They still need to setup the format to become what Cat’s is in Madrid... in terms of party atmosphere and vibes. With the rooftop, huge bar and communal space they have... it has a great deal of potential of becoming an amazing party hostel... one day.
When I came here... the batch of people were amazing... fun, young and beautiful ready to have a good time. Two data later the vibe became more average when everyone left.
The rooms are spacious... the beds are comfortable, shower is spacious, with amazing hot water and water pressure. The free breakfast has ready good bread. They have an elevator, so you don’t have to drag your luggage up steps and currently it has the best price in Porto.
The kitchen, receptionist, flooring and common area were reconstructed while I was there... so when you check in... it should be brand new.
Note , they have 3 locations which are all 2 minutes walk from each other... the main building which is where you want to be, down the street the private rooms and another dorm building. Keep that in mind when booking and look at the description (as it will state what building your room is located)... if you want to be in the main building.

Cats hostel is a great youth hostel, I met some nice people there.
Pros: good location, funny and helpful staff, free breakfast.
Cons: I don't see any, except maybe improving a little bit the facilities, if you want to be picky.

El mejor Hostel de Europa para mi de momento! Todo muy limpio y buen servicio. El camarero de Madrid muy competente y me ayudo con cosas de la ciudad lo unico malo es que es del Real Madrid pero aun esta a tiempo de corregirlo y ser del Barça :)

Our stay at Tattva Design hotel from 7 april till 12 april 2014 with 16 students was amazing. Very hospitable and friendly people at the reception and the drinks are really cheap. The rooms are great! The roof terrace was amazing and you can socialise with the other guests. I would highly recommend this hostel

Great staff, location, and atmosphere. It’s pretty central. They have a rooftop, which was closed, but I could see it being really cool in the summer. I’m giving 3-stars because of their showers which actually should get a -10. The water pressure was strong, but so strong that the shower head would fall off and spray everywhere. They have the kinds that are detachable. I had to hold it while showering. Lighting is extremely low in the bathrooms. Also, they ran out of hot water in the morning which put my day off schedule since I had to wait for it to warm up. Check-out in their email says 1130, but they changed it to 1100. They told me I should’ve gotten an email about it. I didn’t.
For partying, especially with an Erasmus aged crowd, it’s a great place to be. It was a good experience, but I won’t be staying there again.

Muy cerca de la estación de San Beito sin embargo el rumbo no inspira seguridad, la calle estaba descuidada y muy sucia. El hostel es juvenil y muy básico. El desayuno es indiferente. De inicio no había agua caliente y tuvimos que llamar a recepción.

Large rooms with a beautiful view. Every guest has its own personal locker only they can access underneath their bed. This locker is spacious enough for your entire suitcase with room to spare.

Good hotel with nice accomodations, good for a short stay in Porto. It is located in the city centre and very close to the strain station.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Toilets and showers are not that clean.
The music in the dinner room was way too loud. There was party music already in the morning, which I felt was very irritating.
Breakfast and the free dinner were more than enough and very tasty.

Probably would have liked it here better if I wanted to party more. In every one of the common areas, there's loud music being played 24/7, sometimes hearing two different songs played at the same time, and to the point where it's hard to hold a conversation. The rooftop was often nice and chill late at night, but they close that down at midnight and bring you back into the noisy bar downstairs. The bathrooms are clean but make no sense, there's nowhere to put your clothes when showering. Overall impression is that aetshetics were more important than practicality. Certainly not bad enough to warrant checking out early, but I'll probably be staying somewhere else next time I'm in Porto.

Location is pretty good, beds too , we had a private room in an annex building, very late at nite neighbors of hour room came drunk, and very noise. There was no way to get in touch with front desk, cleaning really needs to improve on common areas and bathrooms,

Very hospitable place. The rooftop patio is a great place to meet fellow travellers. The suite was ok, and the bed isn't the most comfortable, but was one of the best stops in Portugal because of the staff and the other travellers.

Hostel com ótimas instalações. Nos quartos compartilhados há casa de banho ampla com sanitas separadas dos chuveiros, assim se distribui bem o uso. As camas são espetaculares com fichas, cortina, luz e ventoinhas individuais. E também o pequeno almoço é bem variado, o staff bem prestativo e com ótima localização.

La ubicación es perfecta, justo a 2min de la estación Sao Bento. Me gustó que no fuese necesario utilizar candado para guardar tus maletas ya que funciona con la misma tarjeta de la habitación y número de cama. Pese a que el check-in es a las 14:30 te guardan las maletas hasta que puedas entrar. El baño estaba en la misma habitación, por lo que no es compartido por toda una planta como algunos, si no que está reservado a los que residen en esa habitación.

Très bonne auberges, c'est jolie, le personnel est sympathique, dans l'ensemble bien équipé (ventilateur pour les lit, pq, clim) bien placé avec un très belle terrasse.
Les bémols sont peu nombreux et pas très important, les lumière de la salle de bain sont pas pratique pour les miroirs, et le manque de qlq fourniture dans la cuisine, même si le principal, plaque, four, micronde casserole poêle, frigo sont la, le manque de couteau pour cuisiné est dommage.
Mais très bonne endroit avec un très bon petit dej

Truly one of the nicest hostels I've stayed in. Clean, friendly staff, comfortable beds and great breakfast. The location also deserves a 5 star rating - literally at a stone throw from all main attractions in Porto. Ideal for a short stay in town if you're on a budget!

Hostel com boa localização, staff muito simpático, recepção 24h, pequeno almoço gratuito. Perto da estação de São Bento, Torre dos Clérigos, Sé e Ponte D. Luís. Também existem restaurantes, McDonald's perto e várias lojas, livrarias, bares, etc. Os quartos tinham 5 beliches (10 camas) com cortinas e cacifos, casa de banho com 2 sanitas e dois chuveiros, existem quartos mistos, masculinos e femininos. O edifício principal tem um terraço onde se passa bem o tempo, no entanto existe outro edifício apenas com quartos e cozinha mas fica muito perto, cerca de 30 segundos a pé, a porta está sempre aberta ao edifício principal. Excelente qualidade para preços tão baixos e o facto de ser hostel ainda faz com que conheçamos pessoas de outros países e com outras culturas. O hostel oferece também visitas guiadas gratuitas a certas horas. 10/10 recomendo

후기가 안좋았는데 생각보다 괜찮앗다
부킹닷컴으로 예약해서 혼성도미토리룸을 묶었는데 원래 조식불포함 도시세 불포함에 78유로였는데 조식은 무료고 도시세내야한다고 해서 부킹닷컴 예약확인서도 다 한글이고해서 조식값으로 생각하고 냈다
열쇠가 아닌 카드키인점이 마음에 들고 작은캐리어는 캐리어를 접지 않아도 바로 락커에 넣을수 있는 점이 마음에 들었다
2층이 조금 무섭기는 한데 그래도 나름 괜찮았다
그리고 다른 도미토리는 커튼이 없느데 여기는 커튼이 있어서 자신의 공간이 있는점이 좋지만 그래서 그런지 늦게 들어와서 씻고 짐정리를 하는 사람들이 많았다 (다른 혼성도미토리에 비해 가려져있으니 덜 조심하는 느낌)
루이스 다리와도 가깝고 플릭스버스타고 오면 ㄹㅇ 4분컷
근데 루이스 다리 가는쪽길은 ㄱㅊ 한데 산벤투 역 가는길은 위험한듯;;
근데 직원들은 엄청 친절! 매일청소도 해주고 방에 화장실 2개랑 샤워부스 3개인것도 좋고 냉장고 사용가능 부엌사용 가능 외부테라스도 좋음
대신 마룻바닥인지 먼지 모르겟는데 여튼 바닥이 그래서 사람들이 걸어다닐때마다 침대 움직임;; 그래서 다들 잘때 아니면 사람들 돌아다녀서 깸;; 이건ㄹㅇ 오바같음

Boa estrutura, pequeno almoço completo e delicioso. Mas é um pouco ruim ficar no segundo predio, pois tem que sair todos os dias ao predio principal para cafe da manhã e infomações. Casa de banho poderia ser um pouco maior. Adorei as camas com cortinas. Ambiente bonito e moderno, colorido e aconchegante. Valor por dia justo, recomendo e ficaria novamente. Não possui cameras apesar de ter alertas dizendo que tem. Segurança é fraca.

O hostel tem uma localização excelente. O quarto privativo é pequeno e caótico com uma kitchenette sem acesso por ter um armário em frente. Havendo uma cozinha comunitária em baixo não se compreende esta situação. Ao pequeno almoço o pão servido era da véspera e só a pedido serviam pão do dia.

Excellent hostel to stay in the very center of Porto. The staff is very nice, helpful and modern. Mixed room are located in the same building that the reception, the building has a terrace on the roof. The private rooms are in the other building very close. We had a private room and in the June we alone in all building. There is 1 room per floor, no elevator. We had a private key for the building and for the room. (You leave a 5€ deposit in the check-in and get it back once you check-out). On the ground floor, there is a semi-equipped kitchen with some dishes and refrigerator.
Private room was clean and has everything you need: bed, air-conditioning, shower, TV, closet, hair dryer, heater, even a small stove, nice view to a quiet street and to the cathedral.
The breakfast is included in the price, it is simple but enough, you do not need more to be full. We had a late check-in after 1 am and there was no problem there since the reception works 24 hours. Also there was no problem at all to store our luggage for several hours after the check-out.
I would absolutely advice to stay there and I would definitely come back myself.

I booked 1 night and arrived around 8pm. Staff charged me 5 euros in cash and I checked again Booking website because they didn't mentioned this fee. I try to find coins, pay the fee and went to my room. Staff was chatting all the time and the attitude was terrible. No blankets in the room and it was cold as hell. Just avoided to go to the reception again and woke up really early to do my checkout. Guy at reception barely look at me and just throw my 5 euros back. Never again

Repitiria mil veces. Era la primera vez que compartía habitación, pero todo está organizado muy bien. Cada cama tiene su espacio bastante grande con su tarjeta para abrirlo aparte de un enchufe, ventilador y una pequeña luz. Wifi correcto. Cama cómoda. En la habitación dos duchas y dos baños. También limpios y las duchas muy bien. Hay una cocina/comedor. Una especie de bar con precios buenos y una terraza. Todo muy bien. Nos dieron mucha información además de buenas ofertas cómo cena gratis a tal hora, o Happy hour 2x1 en cervezas, etc. También oferta de tour por bares por 13 euros. (Muy recomendado si vienes con amigos) . Es un tour de 5 bares/discoteca con una bebida incluida en cada uno. Suelen ser grupos grandes donde conoces mucha gente. Y terminas en una discoteca grande con mucho ambiente. Ubicación buena, no es pleno centro pero está muy cerca, es decir caminando 10 min o menos estás. El personal muy amable.

I enjoyed the luggage lockers that were very large and conveniently opened with the key card. I liked the insuite bathrooms; things felt private. I thought the beds were comfortable although the bottom bunk did have a bit of a low roof. The rooftop bar is nice and the dinners are cheap. Overall great experience.

Das Hostel ist echt top. Jedes Zimmer hat seine eigene Dusche - in unserem Zimmer waren es sogar 2 Duschen - und auch eine eigene Toilette, was für ein Hostel eher untypisch ist. Alles war sehr sauber und zufriedenstellend.
Die Gemeinschaftsräume sind sehr schön, vor allem die Dachterasse hat was. Man kann für 2 € recht günstig und gut frühstücken, sodass man morgens nicht viel Zeit verliert.
Das Personal spricht sehr gut Englisch, ist sehr freundlich und auch hilfsbereit. Was mir allerdings nicht gefallen hat, sind die 3 € fürs Handtuch, aber sonst kann ich das Hostel herzlichst weiterempfehlen!

Really enjoyed our stay at Cats Hostel. Always played great music and the staff is really nice and helpful, also recommended other hostels for Lisbon and Marrakech for us too. Clean rooms, linen and bathrooms. Great deals for happy hour at the bar and tours offered through the hostel as well.

들어가자마자 유쾌하게 반겨주시고, 시설도 굉장히 맘에들었어요.
침실도 깨끗하고, 욕실도 나쁘지 않고, 바, 취사 공간도 맘에들었습니다.
대신에 1층 침대 사용했는데 너무 낮아서 머리가 부딪히는구 말고는 완벽했어요!

This was a nice place a few years ago. I go there every year and it's gotten worse every year. The breakfast zone used to have a lot of choice with many different foods and what now. Nowadays there's only bread and cereals and a pile of unwashed dishes, this was my experience on a weekend there. Also they removed curtains from the beds so there goes your privacy if you are with a group. The bedsheets are disgusting full of yellow taints and old. Only good thing are the people that work there and bathrooms looked clean. I wish it didn't lose features and quality over the years

Fairly priced hostel with a great location. The facilities were nice with kitchen, rooftop bar and working space. The staff were friendly and ready to help me with whatever needs I had. Free walking tours were provided from the hostel. Rooms were clean, spacious and the beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were modern and clean which I loved. I had to pay extra for the breakfast but it was good and fulfilling for the price. Would definitely come back again.

Very cheap ok place to stay in Porto.
The rooms/beds were good, just very old and the bathroom was very very dirty.
Except for that, great party location and CATS is just amazing for organizing events and trips.

Un hostel genial! Está muy bien situado en el centro de Oporto y el servicio es perfecto. Además el ambiente es muy bueno, es muy fácil conocer gente y se crea buen rollo. Me han gustado mucho los eventos que hace el hostel y también la azotea, que se a mucho. Lo mejor el bar! Pepe el camarero genial! Volveré seguro :)

Das Hostel hat eine sehr gute Lage. Mitten im Zentrum von Porto und nahe vom Bahnhof. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Grosse Aufenthaltsräume und eine Terasse machen es einfach neue Leute kennenzulernen. Die Zimmer waren schön und sauber und ausgestattet mit Vorhängen an den Betten und Schliessfächern.

スタッフがレセプションに４人くらいいるのに、チェックインの作業するのが一人でチェックインするのに20分かかった。その後、部屋のカード式のロッカーの鍵が壊れていた。自分の他にも同じケース多発。
最終的にベッドを変更するだけなのに、さらに30分。
合計50分。鍵を交換するスタッフがやる気なさそうにゆっくり歩いているが見えた。急げよ。
下の段のベッドあいてるけど、強制的に上段。
ちょうど部屋の掃除の時間で粉塵とダニが舞う部屋の中で待たされたので、全身が痒いし、喉が痛い。ここのスタッフは本当に仕事できない人達。頭が悪すぎる。このホステルに泊まったのは２度目だが、悪びれもしない態度に悲しくなった。特に男性のスタッフ。愛想がまったくない。行きたかったところも時間がなくなって行けなかった。こんな簡単な仕事に時間を使って人の時間を奪わないでほしい。難しいことができないならカード式ではなく、シンプルに南京錠にすればいいと思う。
ポルトには良いホステル他にたくさんあるから、ここに泊まる理由がないと思う。トイレットペーパーもなくて、何年かぶりにインディアスタイルでお尻をふいた。発展途上国かよ。
ただ朝ごはんだけは良い。。
It took twenty minutes for the check-in to check in by myself while the staff was around 4 at the reception. After that, the key of the card locker in the room was broken. The same case frequently occurs besides myself.
It is only 30 minutes to finally change the bed.
Total 50 minutes. I saw the staff exchanging keys walking slowly seemingly unwilling. Hurry up.
I have beds in the lower row, but forcibly the upper row.
Just as I was kept waiting in the room where dust and mites danced in the cleaning time of the room, the whole body itches it and my throat hurts. Staff here are people who really can not work. My head is too bad. I stayed at this hostel for the second time, but I became saddened by the way I did not go bad. Especially male staff. There is no affection at all. I could not have gone away because I wanted to go. Please do not take time for people using time for such simple tasks. If it is difficult to do things, I think that it is not a card formula but a simple padlock.
There are many other good hostels in Porto, so I think there is no reason to stay here. I did not have toilet paper and wore ass in Indian style for the first time in years. It's a developing country.
However, only breakfast is good.

Make sure you get a bed/room in the main building, the yellow building has barely any ventilation and a musty smell (mold?). Which is not worth the money. Otherwise a great hostel.

Cats hostel é um otimo hostel para backpackers! O staff é jovem e simpático. O público tambem é bem jovem e diversificado. Recomendo!!! Senti falta de um pouco mais de limpeza nos quartos (durante as 7 noites que fiquei constatei uma sujeita na borda da cama que não foi limpa) e reparar pequenos detalhes - lampadas e chuveiros com pequenos defeitos.

Cómo empezar, es una maravilla.( Ironia). La comida, es una una delicia (salvo el desayuno y la cena). Por supuesto, que las habitaciones, están limpias y por supuesto, pasan a limpiar todos los días a las once. Las luces, van de maravilla, y la manta, no huele nada, huele a rosas silvestres. Las terrazas de las habitaciones, están más limpias que ese callejón oscuro con veinte cacas de perro. Los ventiladores, son mejores que los de mi casa.
En resumen
Lo único que valoro es el esfuerzo del personal, pero ni eso salva al hostel.

C'est l'auberge de jeunesse avec le plus d'accomodations où je suis allé. Les rideaux dans les lits donnent beaucoup d'intimité. L'entrée dans la chambre et l'espace de rangement spacieux pour les effets personnels est par clé électronique. Mon dortoir avec 10 lits avait sa propre salle de bain avec 2 douches et 2 toilettes individuelles très moderne. Plusieurs espaces communs étaient disponibles et la présence d'un snack bar sur place était apprécié. Tattva est à proximité de marche de tous les attraits touristiques de Porto et d'une station de métro et train. Je recommande fortement.

Очень крутое место, цены довольно демократичные для центра города. Взяли двухместный номер, все очень чисто, в номере есть фен, полотенца и обогреватель, тв и кондиционер. На первом этаже кухня для гостей со всем необходимым, завтрак включён! Отзывчивый и вежливый персон, чекин 24 часа. Для статуса хостела сервис и обслуживание клиента на очень высоком уровне!

Very friendly stuff. We stood in a family room. It was clean. No lift where the fam. rooms is. Plenty of stairs to arrive the room. Beds are good and comfy. Poor breakfast. Not for coffee lovers. Perfect location! Close to everything. No parking but we always found a spot close.

I really Loved stay at the tattva Hostel, which is perfectly located in the Center of Porto. The Beds are really comfortable and the rooms are quiet Nice and Not to big. There is a huge locker for every person where you can easily store your luagge Safe and Secure.
The bathrooms are modern and clean like the Rest of the Hostel. The breakfast bouffet is really Great and more than you would expect for the Price. All this is topped by the nice and helpful hosts at the reception. Luigi was a really funny and helpful guy who was patient when I Had a problem at 3 o clock in the Morning. He really saved my stay in Porto. I can Highly recommed staying here.

Keinerlei Beanstandungen, für ein Hostel und den Preis wirklich klasse! Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer mit eigenem Bad, es war alles vollkommen in Ordnung. Das Frühstück war überraschend gut, die Lage könnte nicht besser sein. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert!

I loved this hostel so much i extended my stay by 3 nights. Its definitely the nicest hostel ive been in. Its across the road from the cathedral, around the corner from the train station. Great breakfast with pancakes. Staff are lovely and very helpful. The beds have a privacy curtain which makes night time so cosy. My dorm room had a balcony with a gorgeous view of the sky terrace and city. The sky terrace is the perfect place to chill in the sun after exploring the city. I really do not have a bad thing to say about this hostel. I Highly recommend it.

Very nice and cozy hostel with a fair quality / price range, and a very good location, less than 5 min walking from the São Bento Station. The bedrooms have big lockers under the beds, and these have personal and private curtains. I have been in a 10-people bedroom, which had its own bathroom with 2 showers and 2 toilets. Breakfast is amazing, where you can make your own pancakes!

Atendimento muito bom, bem localizado e com boa infraestrutura. O hostel oferece um jantar ótimo por 6,00€, onde pôde-se escolher entre 4 pratos diferentes, com opção vegetariana.
Fiquei na parte nova do hostel, que fica mais ou menos uma quadra de distância da recepção , mas com uma cozinha muito bem equipada e quartos muito bons.

Lage ist super, Ausstattung gut, Zimmer ok, jedoch alles sehr hellhörig. Für Pärchen dadurch evtl. weniger geeignet, da nachts viele Türen auf und zugehen und das nur sehr laut passiert. Erholsamer Schlaf eher weniger möglich. Frühstück ausreichend für ein Hostel.

I arrived very early in the morning and staff allowed me to have a nap in the public louge where blankets and cusions are available.After the good nap, I could have nice experiences in the city and then back to the hostel to check-in my room.My room is comfortable and clean and everything equiped as I needed. The hostel amazed me with its interior designs, really beautiful and unique. They even have an aquarium!And furthermore, the location is close to the station and many famous spots.I really enjoyed the stay and sad that I could only have 1 night there~~~

Overall, it is a super nice hostel. I prefer to use a common shower room which is outside of the room, but they have only in the room. And when someone is using a toilet then anyone in the room can hear the sound. It is a little bit uncomfy but except this, other parts are quite perfect and I think this hostel is really good. Highly recommendable.

It was the most terrible service I have ever had. They told me that it takes 2 hours for laundry and dry. However it took about 3 and half hours. I shoud have done laundry twice because after finishing the first laundry, there were detergent on my clothes. And during the second laundry it took 10minutes for 1 minute sign of the machine. I was really tired and wanted to take a rest, but I went down about 5 times for the laundry even I paid 8 euros. And second day there's a problem in hot water, so I couldn't take shower. She dosen't know what is service and never say sorry.
I was so annoyed.

Pensado para gente joven. Situación céntrica, en un entorno aún algo degradado. Para una pareja que ocupe una habitación y baño privado, que las tienen, está un poco fuera del lugar. No me había sentido así en otros hostel, en que conviven también los dos estilos de alojamiento (habitaciones y baños compartidos para varias personas Vs privados para parejas), también con desayuno y el mismo rango de precios. Aquí piden un depósito para garantizar que devuelves la tarjeta-llave. No había toallas, cuando las pedimos nos dieron sólo un juego (ambas cosas entiendo por error, no por mala voluntad). Habitación correcta, pero el baño algo deficiente en mantenimiento, con alguna pieza rota no repuesta y ducha de nivel bajo. El desayuno fue una odisea. Con colas continuas de chavales, intentamos poder desayunar y conseguir un hueco donde sentarnos, sin suficiente espacio para tanta gente, con una persona fregando in situ la loza para que todo el mundo pudiera tener algo con lo que desayunar. Las mesas iban quedando libres poco a poco, sin nadie limpiándolas. En resumen hostel, hostel, enfocado principalmente para gente joven compartiendo habitación y baño.

Wow! I LOVED my stay at Tattva Design Hostel in Porto. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. Bunk beds very comfy, including private light and curtain. Lovely building and AMAZING BREAKFAST! Honestly the BEST hostel breakfast I've had- all the regular things like juice, coffee, tea, bread (but nice bread not crappy white sliced bread) and cereal but also PANCAKES!! eggs, fruit, cheese and ham. I had a wonderful stay and would DEFINITELY stay again!

Very good Hostel with heaps of good details and for reasonable price. Toilets and showers were clean and "brand new". The bed itself are how it could be, has courtain, inner light and socket + underbed locker and even a little fan for hot weather or any hot times ;). I travel a lot, but long time I didnt see that good hostel. Staff was helpful and BF was good(the bread is just amazing).

Total privacidade na sua cama que pode ser fechada por cortinas escuras. ótimos banheiros em todos os quartos com duas duchas cada. 3 tomada por cama, luminária e ventilador individual. Номер на 3 человека с 4 кроватями находится в 300 метрах через улицу, но это не мешает назвать организацию услуг (рецепшн, кухню, обеденный зал, зону отдыха, интернет-доступ,душ и постель)отличными!!! Завтрак очень хороший,есть не хотелось до15-16 часов.(блины и тосты можно делать самому-количество не регламентировалось!Реально свежевыжатый фруктовый сок по нажатию лично тобой кнопке!)

I loved it ! Bed comfortable with curtains, lights, fans and plugs ! All you need in a hostal bed! It are ensuite rooms we had two showers and two toilets ! Which is good. We had two sinks in the room... Not so nice in The room because of the noise in the mornings...the best thing about the hostal ,is the breakfast ! WauW fruit and vegetables and different breadrolls! Jam Nutella cheese ham hard boiled eggs sausages. And the best of all pancakes ! These made me so happy every morning! It is a big friendly and sociable hostal! They organized. Lot of things to do...and all very good! The kitchen is nice aswell and well equipped! It is also on a good location !

We had a mixed experience at the 2 bedroom apartment a couple of blocks from the hostel. The accommodations were nice and roomy, though not as clean as we would expect for the price - we had to wash glasses prior to use and the back patio was extremely dusty and had not been swept in quite a while. The beds were nice and soft, but the pillows were not. The hot water was a real problem, turning hot and cold during the whole shower, rather unpleasant. No shampoo/conditioner was another disappointment as we paid premium rates for the apartment and in Lisbon and Coimbra, similar apartments had these amenities. The location is probably the biggest plus, walk to everything in Porto. Check all the rates on the Internet prior to going with one - they vary widely.

This was our best hostel experience ever! We enjoyed three nights in a shared room that had everything we needed and special confort like private bathroom and showers! We loved the curtains in each bed that give a little more privacy ;) Breakfast was very complete from eggs, cheese and jam, to a variety of breads and sweet spreads, juices, coffee, cereals and even sausages and pankakes! The hostel has plenty social áreas, computers to use and a big kitchen with two usable fridges. There is a very cool ambience and a 24 hr reception too. One thing I loved: the aquarium!! Locations can´t get better, just meters away from Cathedral, steps away from Riviera. We loved this hostel so for sure we recommend it!

Absolutely loved my stay at Tattva Design Hostel. It's clear to see that the owners have put a lot of thought and work into the design of the place. The beds are super super comfy and i had a great night's sleep. The staff went above and beyond to make sure i had a great stay there. They were always there to give personalised recommendations when i needed them. Also, the breakfast was a great touch, especially the pancakes. All in all a great stay! Top marks, well done guys!

Clean, great lockers, beds with lights and curtains, wonderful rooftop outdoor area, good bathroom facilities, EXCELLENT breakfast (crepes and all!) and good activities offered. This was by far the best hostel Ive ever stayed in. The staff was friendly and beyond helpful giving recommendations and suggestions along with tips on navigating the city. In addition, the hostel had a prime location being in the middle of everything and about a 10 minute walk from the river.

Les chambres n étaient pas propres l odeur a l intérieur horrible nous avons choisi de faire une nuit blanche dans les rues de Porto, impossible de dormir dans cet endroit... nous avons trouvé deux bêtes dans les coffres de rangement... seul point positif le petit déjeuné!

Although its a bit tricky to find, the location is relatively close to Portos central district. The hostel has a naturalistic style. I especially like the fat boy sleep bags in the common area. There are nice facilities, including a common kitchen, computer area, reading lounges and a cool sky terrace. The staff is among the coolest staffs I have ever met :) They gave very down-to-earth advice. I especially like the tour opportunities the hostel offers: pub crawls (its amazing, most leaders really know how to dance!), free walking tours, paid wine tour and such. The hostel offers a very yummy breakfast, too (it has the most variety than all the other hostels I have stayed at so far).

Das Hostel an sich bietet ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis mit einem super freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Team. Allerdings befinden sich Zweibett- und Doppelzimmer nicht im Hauptgebäude sondern ein Stück die Straße runter, sodass man für das Frühstück schon das Haus verlassen muss... Dafür entschädigt aber generell die Lage, da alle wichtigen Plätze insbesondere die Brücke Ponte Luis I und der Douro unmittelbar fußläufig zu erreichen sind!

Amazing hostel! The price per night here is crazy low for what you get. The rooms each have bathrooms with multiple showers/toilets and each bunk has outlets and curtains. Their breakfast buffet is pretty good for hostel standards and they'll let you print out boarding passes for free. Wonderful service, value, and even location!

Pros:
- EXCELLENT location, a less than 5 min walk to/from São Bento station for access to train, bus, & metro, though be aware that you will encounter a fairly steep hill if you are toting your luggage
- impeccably clean and lives up to its moniker: colourfully designed
- free luggage storage before and after check in. While the room for the most part remains unlocked, it is right in plain view of the reception area
- free breakfast with a wide offering
- kitchen was quite roomy and appeared to be well stocked, though I didn't use it
- full length mirror in the room!
- curtains around the beds, along with a reading light and shelf were great to have
Cons:
- check-in is strictly no earlier than 2PM, no exceptions -- luckily Porto is quite condensed that I was able to drop off my luggage and browse around the city for a few hours without having to travel very far
- you're given clean sheets upon check-in -- literally, as in you'll need to make your own bed. Likely not an issue for most, but rather difficult to finagle fitted sheets on a top bunk
- elevator was broken down during the entirety of my 3-day stay so be aware that if you are staying in a female 8-bed dorm, you may need to trek up/down four floors
- staff is polite but I didn't find that they would go out of their way to make conversation with you
- showers, toilets, and sinks in the female 8-bed dorm are located within the suite, which is handy but also makes for really noisy sink, hand dryer, and hair dryer usage as there is no partition between these and the beds
Overall I found location to beat out any of the cons, so do recommend this place

위치는 언덕에 있고 상벤투 역에서 가는게 제일 빠른데, 캐리어를 끌고 가는게 좀 힘들었습니다. 그래도 호스텔은 직원들이 굉장히 친절하고 엘리베이터도 있고 부엌도 큰편이고 좋았습니다. 8인실을 이용했는데 공간이 넓지 않아서 조금 불편했지만 그래도 테라스가 있고, 개인커텐이 있어서 좋았습니다. 그런데 화장실은 정말 불편했던게 하수구 냄새가 너무 심하고 어두침침해서 조금 사용하기 꺼려 지더군요. 그부분만 좀 개선되면 좋을거 같아요. 조식은 무료로 제공되어 간단하게 먹기 괜찮았습니다. 맛은기대하지 마세요.

Its a basic hostel conveniently located near the S. Bento station. The room had no AC so it was very hot in August. There was a fan attached to the bed but mine wasnt working. They played very loud music until midnight on weekends so its very hard to sleep with the window open.The personal locker was big.The dorm room felt a little small but I liked the privacy curtains.You have to make your own bed. Overall, it was a good enough hostel to stay for a couple of days.

In terms of facilities, the best hostel I've stayed at! Beds have curtains, power outlets, fans, and the free breakfast includes hot foods like pancakes, sausages, and eggs. In terms of a social environment, it was only Ok. Staff was friendly, but other guests seemed fairly reserved and there were lots of groups.

The room was great. Each bed had a curtain, light, bench, PowerPoint and locker that was accessed using your individual room key. Bed was comfortable. The bathroom had two showers and two toilets which was great. The hostel was clean and modern with multiple common spaces to spread out. Staff were great too. Highly recommend.

Vorgeschoben sei gesagt: das Personal und auch die Inhaberin waren sehr bemüht und haben die Situation professionell und zufriedenstellend gehandhabt. Leider war unser Aufenthalt im Tattva aber eine Enttäuschung, wir hatten ursprünglich für zwei Nächte ein Zimmer mit Doppelbett und Bad gebucht und haben schon allein deswegen viel erwartet, weil der Preis, für welchen man bereits einige der zwei Sterne Hotels um die Ecke bekommen kann, es suggerierte, sind aber nach einer Nacht in eine andere Unterkunft gewechselt. Das Zimmer befand sich in einem Nebengebäude etwa 2 Min. fußläufig die Straße herunter. Direkt vor diesem Haus befindet sich eine Baustelle, die laut Schild noch bis Ende des Jahres andauert. Das Haus ist extrem hellhörig, unsere Nachbarn waren leider allesamt nachtaktiv, an Schlaf war daher nicht zu denken, da man jeden Schritt hört. Der Boden war schmutzig, barfuß laufen war nicht möglich. Das Bad war klein, die Dusche verkalkt und wenig einladend. Die Sauberkeit ließ insgesamt stark zu wünschen übrig. Das WLAN und der Fernseher funktionierten nicht, was offenbar am Anbieter lag, aber für uns im Ergebnis keinen Unterschied machte. Nachdem wir also eine schlaflose Nacht ohne WLAN und Fernseher in einem schmutzigen Zimmer zu überhöhten Preisen verbracht haben, sind wir am nächsten morgen in ein anderes Hotel umgezogen. Der Hostelinhaberin tat alles furchtbar leid und sie hat uns die Hälfte der ersten und die gesamte zweite Nacht erstattet.

I stayed here with 15 lads on my stag do and it was perfect. The rooms and beds were clean with individual locked cabinets for personal storage. Some rooms even had double showers and toilets which made it much easier in the mornings. Also has its own bar and restaurant and roof terrace.
Would definitely recommend. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay very enjoyable.

I'd stayed at Tattva for 3 nights (April 14 2016 ~). First of all, its location is perfect. You can reach All hot spots in Porto from this hostel in 10~15 minutes on foot. Plus, facilities and atmo in the hostel, so nice, that I am really happy with this.
In special, all staffs are very kind. During my trip in Porto, I was stolen my bag, which is containing my passport, credit card and cash, etc. Thanks to staffs in hostel, esp. Joshua, I could contact with my country's ambassy staff and stay at the hostel for one more night. Finally I could enjoy my trip.

Dirty, dank and depressing. One of the worst hostel experiences of my life. What makes this more extraordinary is that many of the reviews and ratings are so high and that its won many awards. Well its certainly a lesson not to trust that high ratings (or even the awards given by various booking sites) given by somebody will indicate that you also are likely to give a high rating. How did it get these high ratings?
i stay in a lot of hostels and hotels all around the world, so I have a pretty good idea of the differing standards. Also rather ironic, this is anything but a well designed hostel.
So where do we start!
Firstly, i was charged €30 per night in a dreadful 10 person dormitory.
DORMITORIES - over-crowded, smelly, insufficient places to hang coats, towels or anything else.
Very limited head-space between bottom bunk and top and the wrap around privacy curtains - although a good idea, is potential problem with hygiene - how often are these washed? What happens to all the germs from people coughing, sneezing and doing what ever else they do during the night?)They should have had a velcro attachment to allow quick and easy attachment and washing. Also, there is a space between the bed and the wall which allows certain things to be lost and very difficult to recover? Why couldnt the beds have been designed so this space wouldnt exist?
DORMITORY BATHROOM - small, cramped. Not acceptable for a 10 bed dorm. The Toilets smelt of ammonia.
PUBLIC SPACES
LOUNGE/TV ROOM- a design disaster. With poor quality beanbags on either side of the room against the wall with the TV on the 3rd wall, meaning you had to twist your body or head to an uncomfortable angle in order to watch the TV. No comfortable chairs of any sort. The TV volume locked onto such a low volume that unless a couple of metres from the screen youre unlikely to hear anything.
There was a toilet door on the same wall as the TV so people constantly walking to and fro, which is irritating plus im not sure its so hygienic - remember everyone is lieing on the floor.
The lounge area - which is large enough to accomodate 6 or so people (6 bean bags at least), is clearly a not an adequate size for the size of the hostel and opens out in an open-plan sort of way to another inadequelty sized kitchen area which creates even more chaos and noise.
So the lounge area is not at all an area where you can sit quietly, read or watch tv or talk.
Both these communal area lead towards the reception area and so youve got also got noise (and all the conversations) coming from here adding to the cacaphony plus the cold air blowing through the entrance door into the communal areas aforementioned.
BAR/RESTAURANT/BREAKFAST
Continuing the design catastrophe - lots of chaotic lights, some too bright plus over breakfast or dinner youre subjected to american style teenage pop videos playing from the 4 tv screens.
I had dinner here with a group of people , potato was stone cold(as was everyone else's), sent it back. Didnt get an apology, waiter seemed quite overwhelmed and a little bit stressed by the situation, which is probably why he forgot to remember the standard procedure of apologising to guests when something like that happens, or is it because its a hostel that details such are not part of the training manual?
Breakfast was a disaster, clearly not enough room to accomodate the guests. Food running out, not enough staff on duty, no muesli, some watery sugary nonsense which was supposed to be a fruit juice and disgusting coffee, very cheap plastic cheese and goodness knows where the ham was from. In addition the large stains all along the seating area against the wall just added to the experience.

Beim Empfang erhielt man sofort eine Stadtplan mit den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten und wurde auf einen Rundgang eingeladen. Sehr Empfehlenswert, da es so unglaublich viel zu sehen gibt, dass man vieles leider doch übersieht. Bei diesen Touren lernte ich viele Menschen kennen, so dass die folgenden Unternehmungen dann auch immer in Gruppen erfolgte. Auch eine Tour bei Nacht sollte man nicht auslassen. Der Wahnsinn..

Das Hostel hat eine 24 Stunden Rezeption und man wird sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend behandelt.Jeder hat seine persönliche Karte um ins Zimmer und an den Spind zu kommen, sodass kein Fremder einfach so reinkommt. Es gibt eine tolle und gemütliche Terrasse - am Abend wird ein selbstgekochtes Essen, gemeinsam mit den Hosts, angeboten.Die Betten können mittels Vorhängen zum eigenen kleinen Raum abgetrennt werden - sehr gemütlich und alles vorhanden was man braucht.

Das Hostel ist an sich modern ausgestattet und die common area ist auch sehr bequem. Das große Manko ist die Zimmeraufteilung: Null Platz für die eigenen Sachen, da Bett an Bett steht und die Toiletten/Waschräume im Zimmer sind nur durch eine dünne Schiebetür vom Schlafbereich getrennt wodurch man nachts leicht gestört wird bzw. andere stören muss. Frühstück ist inklusive, nichts besonderes, reicht aber zum satt werden. Ein nettes feature ist die Terrasse.

Great beds, they make things very private even though you're in a large dorm with personal bed fans and lights, plugs and a curtain that wraps all the way around plus lockers under your bed. You can have dinner at their little restaurant, do laundry, use computers, sit on the rooftop patio. It's great! Quite a walk down and uphill to get to the water and some other areas, but that's Porto. Wifi is good also! 10€ dinners are a bargain and a lot of fun to join!

Hermoso hostal con personal muy amable y servicial. Cortina de privacidad, lámpara, ventilador y toma de corriente en cada espacio de la cama era genial. Bar en la terraza era increíble, con una vista agradable. El desayuno incluso estaba muy bien y las comidas caseras eran muy buena opción. En general un buen viaje.

Meilleure auberge que j'ai jamais connu. Je suis resté là une semaine complète. Le personnel super sympa vous fera visiter et prendre le temps de se souvenir de votre nom. Ils se sentaient comme famille.Chambres très propres sécurisés. J'adore les rideaux d'intimité autour des lits. Les dîners de 10€ et les BBQ sont fabuleux. Le petit déjeuner est complet avec des crêpes! Très bien situé. J'ai aussi rencontré les propriétaires, qui étaient intéressés à entendre les commentaires des clients. Ils étaient très gentils et très enthousiaste de faire l'auberge encore mieux, ce qui est étonnant car il est déjà parfait. Je ne peux pas recommander assez. Incroyable!

Friendly staff, though some are so chatty my check in took almost 30 minutes. The hostel is reasonably clean, well maintained and it was cheap.
Despite other reviews the breakfast was simply crappy. In the end I had breakfast outside in a cafe. Fortunately Porto offers great food.

Prácticamente en el corazón de oporto, en pocos minutos se alcanzan todos los lugares de interés: Ponte Luis I, Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar, Plaça da Ribera y la zona del río, la estación de Sao Bento....
Este hostal está algo por encima de la categoría "hostal" que se nos puede venir a la mente.
La calidad de las instalaciones, la decoración, el gran espacio que dedican a las zonas comunes, y otros muchos detalles, no te hacen percibir que estés en un hostal convencional..
Respecto de las zonas comunes, hay un par de salas bastante tranquilas: una dedicada a un espacio con ordenadores, y otra con una acuario y unos sofás más relajante si cabe. Posteriormente cuenta con el salón comedor, que da as una terraza abierta con numerosas mesas, sillas,, barbacoa y un columpio.
Las habitaciones, en mi opinión, son pequeñas respecto al número de literas que hay en el interior, ya que no queda mucho libertad de movimiento y si están llenas, hace mucho calor, sobre todo en primavera-verano.
De hecho cada cama cuenta con su propio ventilador del calor que llega a hacer...
Es el único detalle que quizá le falle, bajo mi punto de vista, el resto, excelente.

Perfecta ubicación, el personal te hace sentir como en casa, las habitaciones son amplias, cómodas y supér limpias, la relación costo beneficio es perfecta, he estado en varios hostel y hoteles en Europa este año y este ha sido el mejor con toda sinceridad, súper recomendado.

I have stayed in many hostels, in different cities, continents and Tattva Design Hostel is the best hostel ever! They were recently voted the best large hostel in the world, as well as the best value for money and the best facilities and they definitely deserve it!
Rooms are so comfortable, they took care of everything you need. Hostel is very clean, very centrally located, reasonable price and very friendly staff! Bed curtains was one of the greatest ideas. The ensuite bathrooms with powerful hot showers are fantastic, as are the superconfortable beds.
I had a little issue during my stay, and the owner solved it straight away.
I can't decide if the terrace or the aquarium lounge was most beautiful. I loved it all though!
They have a sophisticated keycard system for each individual locker ( huge) under each bed, which I haven't ever seen in any other hostel before, and makes this place as safe as can be to store your belongings.
Breakfast is generous ( buffet) with ham, cheese , nutella ( yes, the real thing!), marmelade, jam, coffee, teas, different types of bread,...
Hope they will open more Tattva's in other cities in the future.
Porto is one of the most beautiful cities i've ever seen, but you can go to Porto just to stay in Tattva!

En mycket väl genomtänkt vandrarhem. Stora anläggningar och detaljer som gardinen runt sängen. Personalen är också mycket vänlig och gör du känns som familj.

Très bien situé en centre ville. Superbe auberge, design, propre, ... Le staff est génial, toujours de bon conseil. Les matelas sont géniaux. Je le recommande vivement!

Tattva Design Hostel é de longe o melhor hostel que já visitei. Chegamos lá algumas horas antes da hora do check-in, mas pudemos deixar as nossas malas num quarto de luggage storage . Durante o check-in, toda a equipa foi super simpática ! Eles informaram-nos de tudo ao redor do Hostel , que foi decorado muito bem, dando-lhe uma vibe divertida. Eles também foram sempre capazes de recomendar um bom lugar para comer e ajudar-nos com as direções. Como o Tattva é bem no meio da cidade, é muito fácil visitar o Porto. Além disso, há um autocarro perto que nos leva para a praia também. O quarto estava muito limpo, e cada cama tinha uma cortina para que possamos ter privacidade . Por baixo da cama tinha um armário individual . Os Wcs eram limpos também. Pequeno-almoço também foi muito bom ! Eles tinham fiambre, queijo, cereais, compotas, nutella e uma variedade de pães , bem como sumo e café. Eu também recomendo fazer o pub crawl ! Foi divertido fazer o pubcrawl com algumas das outras pessoas do hostel. Sentimo-nos seguros no hostel . O nosso voo foi super cedo , pela manhã, e um dos funcionários deu-nos um fez-nos café e deu-nos um saco de muffins para comer para o pequeno-almoço . A hospitalidade e limpeza do Tattva tornou a nossa viagem inesquecível!

Fantastic Hostel, with very confortable beds. Each with their own curtain for privacy, power socket and fan. The staff is very funny and helpful. Very good central location.

This Hostel is, by far, the best I have ever been to.
The location is right at the perfect habitable zone, central enough to see Porto effortlessly, and hidden enough so that you can sleep even in Party Nights like Saint John's.
The rooms and beds are not only equipped with far more than I ever expected from a Hostel, but they do so in style! Plus the staff (and the owners) were nothing if not friendly, all the time. All this for a perfectly competitive price.
I realise this sounds more like an ad than a review, but I just can't praise this place enough. Truly loved my time there and highly recommend it.
