Das Haus inder die Unterkunft war, und der Einrichtungsstiel mit Vintagemöbeln. EinzigartigViele gute Tipps für die UmgebungSEHR SCHÖN.....Zwischendrinn wäre mal ein Frühstück mit den anderen Hotelgästen schön gewesen!

Nahe an der Altstadt gelegen, gute Restaurants in der unmittelbaren Nähe. Ausstattung ist einfach aber ok, das Bad ist als begehbarer Schrank ins Zimmer gebaut-hatten wir so auch noch nicht gesehen.In den ersten 2 Tage war es sehr ruhig im Haus aber in der dritten Nacht war es mit der Ruhe vorbei. Bis um halb 12 Treppen hoch, runter, Türen schlagen und Geschrei von Jugendlichen. Als sie das Haus für 4 Stunden verliesen wurde der Hund im Vorraum eingesperrt. Durch das Gebelle war es nicht möglich zu schlafen. Tiere sind im Haus verboten!! Für uns ist das nicht akzeptabel!

Exzellenter Service: Frühstück ans Bett, Bestätigung des Shuttle-Services, Vorbereitung einer Stadttour (beides wurde selbständig vorbereitet, ohne dass wir darum bitten mussten). Wir werden bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Porto wieder hier übernachten!

It is a nice, clean place. The live-in manager is very accommodating for we arrived late. No elevator and no parking so it is most convenient for those who travel light and without rented car.

Marginally okay. This quiet little pension is located close to the park in Porto, but is not a convenient walk into the main part of the city. There are few nearby restaurants. Larger rooms appear to have been partitioned inexpertly into smaller ones, with the odd result of a lamp in the bathroom being clearly visible over the doorway.

Overall, nice place to stay!Avoid the bottom bedrooms. To many light inside the room in the early hours and a bit noisy near the recepction.Lovely garden outside.

The only drawback was that our room was at the front of the house overlooking a busy street. If you left the windows open you could hear the traffic and party goers into the wee hours of the night. Other than that, we had a great time, nice people. Marta and her team did a great job.

Friendly, family-run hotel with great location, just outside noisy town centre. Lovely room. No tv but that's fine by me although i would have liked a fridge. Access to a nice little garden at the back. Breakfast was fine but not particularly special. I would recommend a stay at the price.

This is adequate but not much more. Negatives: charmless, no usable common space other than garden, no on-site overnight hotel staff. Pluses: access to interesting neighborhood of galleries and trendy good restaurants.

wir wurden sehr gut betreut und beraten. Das Frühstück war immer sehr abwechslungsreich , selbstgebackener Kuchen, frisches Obst, Aufschnitt,Käse etc. Kaffee oder Tee so oft man wollte, Orangensaft, Wasser.Auf dem Zimmer: frisches Wasser für Tee oder KaffeeWir waren zum 2.mal im Porta Azul und wieder war es ausgezeichnet.

Accueil très chaleureux. Jardin magnifique. Chambre spacieuse et authentique. Bon déjeuner. Si vous pouvez choisir, privilégier les chambres côtés jardin.

Wonderful historic guest house with large comfortable rooms. Amazing host and staff. Went above and beyond to help us get settled, plan our time in Porto and offered the perfect recommendations for dining and wine tastings. Delicious homemade breakfast.

Stayed at Porta Azul several times. We are a family of four with two children with 10 years old. It’s like being at home! Marta was so accommodating! Breakfast is absolutely amazing! Five star place without the price tag

We had a fabulous stay at the Porta Azul Guest house. It was so central to everything and was very easy to get to all the must see sites of the city. Marta was amazing and extremely helpful for recommendations and directions!

ideale Lage, Zentrum gut zu Fuss zu erreichen, aber auch Bushaltestelle vor dem Haus.Außerordentlich freundlich Gastgeber, die sich sehr viel Mühe geben. Tolle Tipps für die Sehenswürdigkeiten sowie für gute Restaurants. Sehr leckeres Frühstück. Man kann sich hier nur wohlfühlen.

Très beau lieu de séjour ! Très bien rénové, avec beaucoup de charme ! Marta et Pedro sont très attentifs au bien être de leurs clients, ils font le maximum pour que notre séjour et la visite de Porto se passent au mieux. Pour le 31 dec ils avaient organisé un apéritif avec foie gras et champagne pour tous les clients présents. Ils nous reçoivent comme des amis. Nous gardons un très beau souvenir de notre séjour à Porto. Claude et Sophie

This is a lovely guest house. It is a short walk(about 10 minutes) from the city centre but I enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle and it is in the interesting art gallery district. There is a lovely park across the street.The owners and staff are very customer focused. They provide lots of information and recommendations regarding Porto and are willing to answer all questions.We took their Douro valley tour and thoroughly enjoyed the day which included wine tastings, a boat trip and the best meal we had in Portugal.

Very welcoming owners and staff with lots of information about places to see in Porto. Porta Azul is a lovely old house sympathetically restored. Large rooms with very comfortable beds. Only downside -- our room did not have any hanging space or a safe. The day trip to the Douro with Pedro was a fabulous day out -- wine tasting, boat trip, excellent lunch and visit to a winery, places we would never have found on our own-- very memorable and enjoyable.

Pedro and Marta and their team do everything possible to make sure you enjoy your stay. Lots of very helpful information on things to see, places to eat, etc.Most of the sights are within walking distance although be aware that there are many steep roads as you approach the river! Taxis are very good and cheap if you need them however.We had a wonderful day trip with Pedro to Braga and Guimaraes which we would heartily recommend. Pedro is very knowledgeable about the local wines, and port of course, and procured some good bottles for us to bring home. Nothing was too much trouble.We have heard great things about the wine-tasting trip he offers in the Douro valley so next time we go we want to do that.

Une maison d'hôte au charme absolu, tout est absolument parfait (merveilleux volumes bien décorés, les propriétaires sont très gentils, prévenants et attentionnés, la propreté est digne d'un laboratoire). Je ne vois pas d'autre endroit à Porto ou l'on peut se sentir merveilleusement bien comme à la maison.

Overall it was wonderful. The hostess was warm, friendly and made our stay memorable. Loved that when we arrived Marta sat down with us and went over sites and a map. Great touch. The bed was a bit too hard but other than that, I would go back in a minute

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Porta Azur; room was clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast was excellent and it was in a great location. It didnt have aircon but the fan and open window in the cool of the evening more than made up for it. Our wonderful hosts, Filipa and Pedro, were very helpful and friendly. We particularly enjoyed getting a take-away meal and wine and having it in the beautiful garden at the back of the hotel. We also enjoyed the bike ride along the river and sea (alrhough the bikes werent in great condition and we had to stop at a bike shop to repair a broken handbrake at our expense). Also be aware that the ride back from the river is very steep! We have no hesitation in highly recommending Porta Azur.

This lovely 6 room boutique guest house in downtown Porto is in an excellent location for tourists - offering a beautiful garden oasis, car parking garage across the street and easy access to restaurants and the hop on/hop off bus stops. Also within easy to moderate walking distance to many of Portos best monuments and attractions. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Although the entrance is right on a busy thoroughfare, the shutters and noise-cancelling window covers made it nice and quiet for sleeping. The proprietors, Marta and Pedro are gratuitous and welcoming. Their initial city orientation, maps and offer to help plan your itinerary, based on the number of days available were a great help to first-time visitors. Highly recommended for visitors that dont want to stay in vanilla chain hotels.

Wir kamen per Zug nach Porto und haben das Porto Azul als Stützpunkt genutzt, um Porto und das Douro-Tal zu erkunden. Der Empfang und die Betreuung durch die Gastgeber Pedro und Martha war immer von großer Herzlichkeit geprägt, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Zimmer in dem schön renovierten Haus ließ keine Wünsche offen.

The hosts were outstanding, extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was sensational. This was essentially a B and B, and it was a delight. A little deck outside our back window with a view of the garden. Only drawback? Its about a 10-15 minute walk to the center of downtown. We didnt mind, and the service and friendliness more than made up for it.

chambre très propre, personnel à lécoute, chambre très calme et situation géographique idéale pour visiter porto en 3 joursnous avons particulièrement apprécié le jardin en revanche, le petit dej médiocre, peu de choix et nous navons pas eu deau chaude en journée et en soirée. Le chauffage a été branché quà partir de 22h, nous avons eu froid.

We stayed from friday until monday in that wonderful guest house and felt home from the very beginning. very personal welcome, explanation of the City, room and breakfast were excellent. we can strongly recommend the house. its the warm hospitality of the owners that really made us happy there. Algún problema para su localización exacta, debería tener algún rótulo llamativo en su entrada. Nada más entrar, aparece su encanto especial para los amantes de lo clásico, eso que te atrae en un mundo mágico pasado, época de 1846 para ser más exactos.Habitación grande, muy espaciosa a la vez que acogedora, ...¡¡impresionante!! Sin embargo, algunos pequeños detalles le vendría muy bien, lámpara rústica en su techo, TV, algún cuadro, etc.La atención de Marta, muy digna, ... da gusto hablar con ella y cómo te explica cada cosa. Un verdadero placer.Prometo volver. Un saludo.

Great guesthouse with friendly and helpful proprietors. We had a very lovely room with high ceilings that kept it nice and cool - it also opened to a shared balcony over looking the garden. Tasty breakfast. Close enough to the main sights of Porto - about 10 minute walk to main squares/train station and 20 minutes to the main river front area. Would go again to this guesthouse.

At 15min walking distance from the center, this hotel is well located.
Rooms are very well decorated and the place invites you to relax and enjoy the nice backyard.
The owners are extremely nice and can give you very good advises to visit in Porto.

Familiar, acogedor, bonito, limpio y bien situado.
Los dueños son encantadores, nos trataron súper bien, nos prepararon un mapa de Oporto con sitios donde comer y acertaron en todos los que probamos. El hotel es un edificio reformado, las habitaciones están muy bien decoradas, con mucho estilo y muy acogedoras, son de techos altos, muy tranquilas. Hay un jardín interior precioso. El desayuno casero muy rico y abundante. Está muy cerca del centro y hay un parking muy cerca, en el palacio de cristal, que cuesta 10€ al día.

Ein altes Bürgerhaus wurde stilvoll und sehr liebevoll renoviert. Die Zimmer sind groß und bieten alles was man braucht (nur ein Fön fehlte).Die Hotelbesitzer und Betreiber beraten und betreuen die Gäste persönlich.In die Altstadt kann man bequem zu Fuß gehen.

Sehr gute Lage, alles zu Fuss erreichbar. Anfahrt mit dem Bus 207 sehr leicht. Sehr modern, schön eingerichtetes 150 Jahre altes Haus mit Charakter. Viel Liebe zum Detail. Zimmerservice ist toll und sehr gründlich. Frühstück mit selbstgemachtem Kuchen, wird vom Hausherrn persönlich serviert. Top!

Superbe guesthouse !Pedro et sa femme Marta sont adorables !On se sent à la maison ! Dans la chambre de la grande maison de Mamie, saut que cest superbement décoré (pas comme chez ma Mamie).Tous les matins, Marta nous fait un nouveau gateau ! MiamPedro nous a tout expliqué, et nous a même accompagné dans le début de notre visite!

Wer Porto erkunden möchte, ist im Porta Azul Guest House bestens aufgehoben. Die Innenstadt ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Noch schneller gehts mit dem Bus, der unweit des Hauses abfährt - leider ist das Bussystem nicht leicht durchschaubar... (Für die Fahrt vom/zum Flughafen würden wir ein Taxi empfehlen, zumindest von/zur nächsten Metrostation.) Geräumige, saubere Zimmer, einfach, aber stilvoll eingerichtet, bequeme Betten und ein modernes Badezimmer lassen wenig Wünsche offen. Wir haben in einem Raum zum Garten (!) hin sehr ruhig geschlafen, trotz der großen Straße vorm Haus. Der Service ist absolut umfassend, überaus herzlich und sehr persönlich. Der Hausherr versorgt die Gäste mit einer Fülle an nützlichen Tipps und praktischen Ratschlägen; die Hausherrin gibt dem übersichtlichen, aber völlig ausreichenden Frühstücksbuffet jeden Tag eine individuelle Note. Wir haben uns im Porta Azul Guest House jederzeit willkommen und gut aufgenommen gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder zurückkehren.

Un lugar muy recomendable para alojarse en Porto. Bien situado, te permite visitar andando muchos lugares de la ciudad. Justo enfrente está el Palacio de Cristal con sus jardines y dando un pequeño paseo puedes llegar a la línea 1 del tranvía y visitar las playas. También cerca está la Torre de los Clérigos o la famosa librería Lello e Irmao.
Marta y Pedro te cuidarán como si fueras de la familia. Con gran acierto te aconsejan dónde comer, qué visitar, qué actividades hacer.
Fue todo un placer.
