We had the most wonderful stay at Garden of Camellias. The room was beautifully decorated and bed was very comfortable, my partner and I felt very rested after our break here. Each morning we were welcomed by a delicious and generous breakfast - what a way to start the day!The location is great. Its a short bus/ cab ride away from the city centre, and near many beaches so you get the best of both worlds - beach holiday and city break. Ariana is a fantastic host - friendly, helpful and very welcoming! She gladly gave us advice on things to do and see and offered to help book. All in all Garden of Camellias is a great place to stay, we highly recommend it! Stay here - you wont be disappointed!

Breakfast was very nice, and enjoyed that it was a little different each day. Room and bed was very comfortable.

Ariana was extremely welcoming. She allowed us to check in several hours early and offered, though we checked out early, the opportunity to leave our belongings in case we wanted to stay in the city a few hours longer. Very polite, and honest. Steered us away from typical tourist traps and all of her suggestions panned out. The room was spotless. The breakfasts were simple yet delicious. The location was ideal for us too. Just outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown and the historic areas, as well as a stones throw from the Douro river and the Atlantic Ocean. All in all we would be delighted to stay again if back in Porto.

Great location - 5min walk to nice sandy beaches with amazing sunsets.Handy to transport options - tram, bus and taxis.Old town feel - dont be afraid to walk through the back streets to find the old world housing.
