Garden House Hostel is one of the nice hostel for backpacker in beautiful city of Porto. It's very close to center and attractions. The place is really clean and nice. Staff is very helpful. They also serve free breakfast and they have nice place to sit in the back of hostel. It's really nice and cool place. I will recommend this hostel.

Almost everything was great.. comfortable rooms, great breakfast, polite and helpful staff, good location, nice garden..the only thing I didnt like was bathroom.

I stayed here with a friend for three nights. All facilities are clean and neat. The outdoor area, living room and kitchen are cozy and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The dorms are nice and big. For breakfast there was toasts or buns with cheese, tasty tomatoes and marmelade, apples, coffee and other stuff. To enter the dorms you get an access card and you get a locker. (big plus for safety precautions!). Here a few suggestions to improve this cool hostel even further: The wooden planks under the matresses could be replaced by something more comfortable. A few stand toilets would be nice and the guitar could use new strings (but cool that the hostel has one of course!). Also the living room should maybe have a door so there could be at least one room where people can drink, be loud at night, play guitar or whatever, without annoying anybody upstairs. Apart from that the wooden indoor design was beautiful. It's not that much a party hostel, but I generally prefer it that way. Instead it was really calm and recommendable to any traveller who wants to have a high standard hostel to relax for a good price (13€) and have a good time Porto. Thanks for everything guys!

We had a very pleasant stay at the Garden House Hostel. Its location makes it ideal to explore the city of Porto on foot. The rooms were spacious and clean. In fact, I'd say this hostel is on the premium segment, as far as hostels go. Breakfast was indulging and offered several choices. The only downside I could possibly point out is that sometimes it can get loud in the nightly hours.
Other than that, it's a hostel that has everything you can ask for. Shout-out to Miguel, the receptionist, who made sure that we were feeling comfortable throughout and shared some recommendations with us!

Malgré un personnel accueillant, je suis partie après une nuit. Durant laquelle je n'ai quasi pas dormi à cause de punaises de lits... Je sais que c'est compliqué à anticiper. Mais par contre, ne pas traiter l'établissement avant deux semaines parce qu'il est complet c'est irresponsable. Ils m'ont bien évidemment remboursé mon séjour.

Agradable bienvenida sitio ubicado en el centro de Oporto en el metro de Bolhao quiere decir que la recepción fue estupenda te atiende muy bien tienen recepción 24 horas es decir que los compañeros de habitación que me tocaron fueron muy amables las duchas son compartidas al igual que baños entre mujeres y hombres y el Hostal ofrece tours gratuitos y alguna actividad lúdica de noche para los mismos huéspedes oport es una buena opción ya que es muy barato tanto comer como moverte es una ciudad para visitar en dos tres días y hala y deberías de cambiar de zona

Sehr schönes Hostel mit Garten, das direkt im Zentrum liegt. Die Metro, die auch zum Flughafen fährt, ist nur wenige Meter entfernt. Die Zimmer und das Bad waren sauber. Die Toiletten und Duschen werden mit allen Geschlechtern geteilt, was aber in Ordnung war. Das kostenlose Frühstück war super und enthielt Brot, Marmeladen, Cornflakes, Milch, Kakaopulver, Kaffee, Saft. Es wurde regelmäßig von einer Mitarbeiterin aufgefüllt. Gerne wieder!

위치가 좀 아쉽지만 포르토는 작아서 그정도는 문제 없다
나선형의 계단도 좋다 테라스도 너무 좋다
주인아저씨나 일하는 직원들도 친절
조식은 특별한게 없지만 무난하고 테라스에서 즐기는 그 시간이 좋다

Goed gelegen, pal in het centrum. Heel gezellig hostel, simpel maar er hangt een zeer informele sfeer. De medewerkers zijn erg vriendelijk en helpen je met vragen en weten top plekjes over de hele stad. Zeker aan te raden & vooral budget vriendelijk!

The type of hostel that deserves more than 5 stars! A spacious hostel with a nice kitchen, common area and outside garden. The rooms and toilets were clean and all common areas were cleaned daily. The staff are incredibly friendly and we were always greeted with huge smiles by the reception staff every-time we entered and exited the hostel. The free breakfast was also very good consisting of cereals, juices, bread and cheeses that is constantly being restocked during the breakfast by the staff ( these little details add to the good feeling in this hostel). I most definitely will be staying there again when i return.

The best hostel I've ever stayed in (and I've stayed in a lot). It's incredibly charming and easy, every single person who stayed there was so nice and open.
The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. They recommended some really wonderful areas that weren't too touristy. The hostel itself is beautiful, my room (the 8 bed female form) was so so spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was really easy to navigate and I felt comfortable using it (unlike in some hostels). The showers were good too. The location is absolutely awesome.
My favourite part is the garden courtyard they had in the back, where there's plenty of spaces to sit outside in the gorgeous Portuguese weather. They have a small pond at the back with a little turtle.
All in all, I had the most amazing time at the Garden House Hostel and I would recommend it highly :) thanks guys for all your help.

포르투갈 43일 여행 할라고 여행 하기전
포르투에서 17박을 하게 되어 호스텔월드로 6박을 예약을 하고 메일로 방을 바꿔 달라고 하여 확인 메일까지 받았는데요
숙박하기 2일전에 일방적으로 캔슬 메일을 받았다
잠자기전 메일을 확인하였더니,
이미 포르투에 있었기에 하루 관광 못하고 호스텔로 찾아갔습니다
남자 스텝,
정중하지 못한 태도 이런 나쁜 포르투갈인 처음 보았습니다.
5년전 포르투갈인들의 친절함에 선물도 많이 가지고 갔는데요
최악이다.
다른 호스텔 예약 해준다고 하면서 근처 호스텔 저렴하다?
내 테블릿 피시로 확인하니 0.5유로 정도 저렴하고 아침이 없다.
예약금 내주면 되지 않냐?

It was amazing..... I don't think that any other hostel can give that much facilities & hospitality in this price.
Also good for the female who wants separate sharing room.
And both of the receptionist girl was friendly.
I was feeling like home.

Great place to stay! Clean and in the center of the city. The breakfast was totally fine, the common sapace was big and comfy, same as the room and bathroom. The staff was helpful and kind. We didn't have any problem! Recommended

Nos alojamos 5 noches 2 personas en una doble con baño compartido en la 2 planta. La 1a noche mucho ruido de personas, no exterior. LA HABITACION PRIVADA ES EXCESIVAMENTE CARA PARA LOS SERVICIOS DEL HOSTEL.

Decent hostel in a great location. This old building is very charming and has a nice aesthetic when you walk up the wide stairs to the dorms. The kitchen is small but functional as is the common room. The courtyard provides a very nice spot to relax in the sun away from the busy pedestrian street noise you will find at the entrance. The dorm room I was in was quite large with 8 beds but laid out in a manner that allowed for a large center area that you can utilize to put your belongings together. At the bottom of the wooden bunks is a storage locker that can easily fit your carry-on luggage, if not a full check-in style piece. The room also boasted two balconettes and full length mirrors. The co-ed toilets and showers are located nearby and are kept decently clean. Be sure to get up early or plan to shower during non-peak times in order to avoid the chaos. You will find the staff to be very helpful and the location of the hostel is right in the center of things. Overall the stay went without an issue and would recommend the location for others looking for decent accommodation at a fair price.

Nice hostel, friendly staff, large comfortable rooms. Good kitchen and common room.
Only downside is the plumbing, they want you to put used toilet tissue in the bins instead of flushing which is pretty grim.

Everybody who's searching for a cheap accomodation in Porto which is completely lovely & offers a good service should choose the Garden House Hostel.
The staff is 24 hours available for you and everybody was really friendly and helpful.
I was satisfied with the cleaning situation.
The breakfast was good for a Hostel and we really appreciated that it was offered from 8 to 11 pm. All the food was constantly refilled.
We had a really good time at this hostel & will probably go there again if we are in Porto the next time.

My favorite hostel to date! Incredible staff, unbeatable location, and beautiful interior. Tall ceilings, cozy common room, large bathrooms, and huge windows. I was here in the winter and I can only imagine how beautiful the garden is in the summertime.

PS: From the touristic point of view, it is well located and has all facilities. Also, this hostel is a very sociable and active place.

Buen hostal. Tiene un tirador de caña en la recepción lo cual es una buena manera de recibirte. Mariana la recepcionista muy amable. Fue tan amable que le regalamos un centro de planchado de vapor.
Quizá el desayuno sea malucho, por eso no pongo las 5 estrellas.
El edificio muy curioso y grande, y el jardín le da un toque cuando hace bueno.
Está lleno de gente de todas las razas y culturas.

El lugar muy acogedor, un trato excelente por parte de los trabajadores (recepción y personal de limpieza) las áreas comunes (cocina, sala de estar) cómodas y abiertas las 24 horas y finalmente un desayuno muy bien en relación al precio

그외에는 숙소가 너무 마음에들어서
포르투 기억이 전체적으루다가 좋아요
특히 저녁스탭한테 물어보면 이것저것
갈데 잘 알려줘서 더 좋았습니다
24시간 리셉션이라 밤에 놀다들어와도 걱정없음
샤워실은 층마다 있어서 대기 거의 없었고
화장실도 칸칸 독립적으로 층마다 있습니다
컴퓨터도 2대정도 있고 프린트도 가능합니다

Absolutely love this place even though I only stayed one night! Easy to access. The service is exceptional. And the building is adorable. I got lucky in traveling off-season that I had my dorm to myself. Very cute Victorian style mansion turned hostel. They are so kind and feels like a home rather than a dirty hostel. Just great vibe overall. I also really liked that some older people were staying there. The patio was cute and kitchen clean and lots of stuff to use for free. Bed was very comfortable and whole stay very pleasant. The only issue I had was Wi-Fi, it was terrible and slow and disconnected constantly. I couldn't connect my computer at all, just my phone. Maybe it was a fluke, I'm not sure, but for such few people, I thought it wouldn't be bad. Also, everywhere else in Porto is SO fast and so accessible, I just thought it was unusual and unnecessary to be so bad. But I loved everything else! Great overall

Sehr große, geräumige, helle Zimmer!
Mit das netteste Personal, was ich erlebt habe! Selbst nach einer Woche, als wir zufällig wieder einen Tag in Porto waren, konnten wir unser Gepäck in dem Hostel lassen und es wurde uns sogar noch Kaffee angeboten, sie haben uns direkt wieder erkannt.
Leckeres Frühstück.
Kleiner gemütlicher Innenhof in dem Schildkröten in einem Teich leben, die manchmal auf dem Grundstück herumlaufen.

Esto es un albergue juvenil, como su nombre indica pero muy bien mantenido. En nuestro caso nos alojamos en una de las habitaciones privadas con baño que tienen en la planta baja. La planta baja da a un patio comunitario donde se reúnen los jóvenes para charlar y ése sería el único punto negativo: la habitación sólo tiene puertas hacia este patio y entonces tener ventilación y privacidad no se pueden conseguir a la vez. Lo bueno es que tiene aire acondicionado para suplir la ventilación. Está muy bien ubicado, al lado del metro de Bolhao y en el centro del barrio de tiendas y de salir por la noche. Los que atienden suelen ser muy agradables y entienden varias lenguas. El desayuno tiene café, leche, zumo, tostadas y lo habitual. Para la zona de albergue propiamente dicho tienen unos baños muy cómodos y amplios. Totalmente recomendable

Atenção que as toalhas para o wc não estão incluidas, custam 2€. Os wc são comuns mesmo para alguns quartos e só pode guardar-se a roupa na própria cabina de duche. Também não há roupeiro, só 1 cabide solitário.. Tv no quarto inexistente. O pão do pequeno-almoço é mauzinho e nada de fiambre, sou queija, manteifa e doce, pequeno-almoço continental muito fra o.

Very good place to stay. Climated. There is a very cozy inner yard behind the hostel.
It´s quite near to centrum of porto.
The team is always good-humored and open for some small talk.
There are very useful hints and advices for restaurants, activities and places to be from the guys and at the blackboard.
We tested much of it and had a good stay.

My stay in Garden House hostel was perfect! The room was clean, comfortable and spoling, the shower and toilet as well. The hosting and the service were pleasant, kind and helpfull. I enjoyed all the fascillities: the livingroom, the beautifull garden, and the terrace. This geusthouse is one the best in portuogal and i highly recomend.

I left my camera at the reception, then it was stolen from there. No one from our group took it. If you want your things get stolen be Garden House host. Angry and depressed, after a week the owner haven't been in contact yet. The people there were really nice and the accommodation is good but what is the point of it ? if you just can't be sure they are trusty people.

Sehr schön eingerichtet Hostel mit kleinem Garten direkt an der belebten Hauptstraße. Habe im 8-Bett-Zimmer (15€ pro Nacht) gut geschlafen. Das Frühstück war echt schlecht! Insgesamt war ich aber sehr zufrieden.
