La soupe de poisson portugaise était bonne mais très épicée. Attention à ceux qui n'aiment pas la coriandre. Les tripes à la portugaise étaient bonne mais trop cuites. J'ai eu du mal à trouver des morceaux entiers. Burger correct avec un pain frais.

O que nos fez adorar esse restaurante, além da localização, foi o staff. Todos muito simpáticos e atenciosos, especialmente a Paula, nossa garçonete! O bolinho de alheira deles foi o melhor que comemos na viagem, crocante, sequinho e com molho de mostarda! O espaço é bonito e fecha às 23h (depois da maioria dos restaurantes no Porto)

Magnífico restaurante. Pequeño y muy tranquilo, con un servicio impecable. Bien atendidos y recomendados por los camareros. Pedimos de primero para compartir unas croquetas y queso de cabra con miel. De segundo dos tipos de bacalao, uno a la brasa y otro en cazuela, riquísimo. De postre una tarta de queso, que nos recomendó el camarero con un toque de lima por encima, espectacular, quizás la mejor que he probado. Tan sólo 40€. Volveré a repetir.

Encontramos o restaurante por acaso. Fizemos um almoço tipo partilha de entradas. Estava tudo muito bem confecionado. Fomos bem recebidos, a decoração é acolhedora mas o restaurante é pequeno. Não tinham multibanco no restaurante. Vale a pena a visita!

Entramos de rebote y acabamos encantados.
Buena comida, trato cercano, ambiente acogedor. Precio razonable.
Como curiosidad, las paredes están repletas de monedas que los clientes dejan retando a la gravedad.
La tarta de queso y las almejas muy buenas.
Único aspecto a tener en cuenta, no aceptan tarjeta y el vino por copa es un poco caro.

El lugar es pequeño pero acogedor. Espero que solucionen el plato de secreto ibérico con migas de la foto por 12€, muy caro para tan poca carne. Es verdad que cuando lo comenté no me cobraron el plato.

place that attracts and that looks nice from the street. Just seated we realized that it was not what we expected, crowded environment too hot inside, mediocre dishes (maybe the ingredients are also passable but they are not cooked well), sad service with waiters who they are detached from customers and it looks like an assembly line. Finally, prices that are absolutely inadequate for the quality and quantity of food! So I don’t recommend it

CASH ONLY (luckily they were very clear about this!) Tasty, fresh food and friendly staff! The different courses came almost a bit too fast, but we managed to enjoy every bite. Great setting, too – this street makes you forget the thousands of fellow tourists eating very nearby. Highly recommended!

Very friendly and fantastic service and nice ambiance. Food did not work out for me. The pork croquettes were too salty as was the cod main dish. I actually couldn’t finish the main dish because I started feeling queasy. The cheese/honey dish so many reviews raved about was no longer on the menu as of 8/21/18.

Fantastic food, the melted cheese with honey and herbs was so good we ordered a second one instead of dessert. My husband raved about the pork croquettes. Great food and service in an area otherwise full of tourist traps, not cheap but worth it. Our waiter was great with recommending drinks and dishes. Came here on a recommendation and so glad we did!

옆에 그 오디이인가 가려고 했는데 전화 예약도 무작정 찾아가기도 다 실패해서 그 식당 직원이 추천해주신 여기로 대신 오게 됐는데 육회 세상 존맛입니다... 스테이크 샌드위치라고 진짜 빵 갈라서 스테이크 턱 하나 넣은 메뉴가 있는데 칼 쓸 필요 없이 고기도 빵도 너무 부드러워여ㅠ 디저트 엄청 먹고싶었는데 배불러서 못머금 ㅠ 둘이 사이드 포함 메뉴 5개 + 물 + 와인한잔 시켰는데 43유로 나왔어요 가격도 ㄱㅊ!

What an incredible meal! We walked in on a Saturday night around 8 and were seated immediately (around 9 the place was really hopping). Everything we ate was great: padron peppers, cod, and pork. All were incredible and paired well together with the red wine we drank. We also got 2 desserts: chocolate mousse and cheese tart, both with the suggested port pairing. Amazing! It was the best port pairing we tried during our whole time in Porto. Esta-Se Bem is an incredibly tasty and laid back place where you can have a relaxed fine dining experience. You should definitely try for a nice dinner in Porto.

WOW! What a gem. We dropped in on their off-afternoon hour on St John Festival weekend. Be advised as we were, cash and small plates only. I don’t recall our servers name but he was both direct and a delight. We enjoyed the mussels, oysters, peppers with red wine, all of which were terrific! Small, quaint place. Be prepared to take your time and not hurry this experience, and if not, it may not be for you.

숙소 뒤 몇몇 음식점이 모인 골목 중 한 곳. 2차로 방문해서 식후라 안주류를 기대하고 트리파를 주문함. 토마토가 들어간 이탈리안 트리파를 상상했으나 Cozido a Portuguesa와 유사한 느낌의 하얀 스튜처럼 나왔고, 메뉴엔 언급이 없던 밥까지 같이 나와 좀 당황했음.
근데 넘 배부른 상태인데도 맛있어서 거의 싹싹 다 긁어먹음. 트리파 라면서 정작 내장보단 돼지고기 위주였는데 좀 걸쭉한 돼지국밥 같은 느낌을 상상하면 될 듯.

Descubrimos este restaurante de casualidad en la calle paralela a la Ribiera. Tomamos una copa de vino y una cerveza. Aceitunas, croquetas, ternera y bacalao ambos al estilo de la casa y de postre tarta de queso y mousse de chocolate. Y pagamos 50 euros. Todo muy bueno y el servicio muy amable y atento.
Dejo la reseña porque leo demasiadas negativas que no se corresponden para nada con la buena experiencia que hemos tenido.

Luego de varios días en Oporto, disfrutando de la gastronomía y los buenos vinos locales, no nos apetecía una cena muy copiosa. Fuimos a esta taberna y nos pedimos los bolinhos de bacalhau y el queso de cabra. Fue una cena sencilla pero la verdad es que nos sentó muy bien. Una pena no haber probado otros platos de la carta porque tenían buena pinta.

Good food! Recommend the curry shrimp and pork croquettes. For me, the cod bras and Portuguese soup were bland — maybe more salt would have helped? I’m not sure about the salt rules, as no salt and pepper are on the table.
For those that are surprised that the prices are higher than elsewhere in Portugal at a restaurant that’s a block from the river in a very touristy area of Porto, then I’ll bet you will be shocked! to find out that rents are more, too! In November 2019, the cheapest bottle of wine was 16E and most main dishes were 12E. Cheap? No. Crazy expensive? Definitely not.

Pedimos el mismo plato mi pareja y yo, y estaba aceptable aunque salado. Pedimos, de la traducción del inglés Bacalao con patatas y huevo (y que lo llaman bacalao a la brasa en portugués, olé!) es como un revuelto con mucha patata paja, algo de huevo, cebolla y bacalao desmenuzado. Es caro. Pagamos 38,50 y 20€ de eran de comida (aceptable) pero 18,50 era de bebida, botella de agua del grifo a 3€, dos cañas a 3€ la caña y café a 1,50€. También 2 copas de vino a 4€ cada una, que en todo oporto te la llenan (a diferencia de España) menos en esta taberna.

El bacalao a la portuguesa no estaba bien cocinado. Demasiado aceite y el punto de cocción y de sal desigual. La ensalada que acompañaba el pescado olía fatal y sabía peor. Anuncian feijoada en la puerta pero resulta que es la carta antigua.

Las dos estrellas son por el personal, atento y profesional. Nos quedamos esperando por la feijoada anunciada en la puerta y resultó que era la carta antigua. Una parte de la comida muy rica, un bacalao en una cazuela y una especie de guiso con alubias. El plato fuerte era el bacalao a la portuguesa, un plato para dos comensales. Malo de arriba abajo. Olía tal mal que yo no lo probé pero las personas que sí lo hicieron dijeron uii está soso y qué va si está salado. Fueron probando y es que estaba a partes, demasiado hecho, poco hecho, salado, soso y muy salado. Y la ensalada olía fatal y tenía un gusto de terror. Era nuestra primera comida de vacaciones y no sabíamos si era nuestro paladar. No lo era, fue un pésimo plato.

Gelegen in einem schmalen Seitengässchen, keine 100 m parallel verlaufend zum Duero, präsentiert sich die kleine Taverne zwischen vielen weiteren die sich als gleiches bezeichnen lassen.
Die Bedienung war sehr jung, etwas zurückhaltend aber dennoch sehr kompetent. Wir hatten Knoblauchgarnelen, ein Filet- und ein Lendensandwich. Alles war sehr lecker wobei die Garnelen gerne etwas kräftiger hätten schmecken können. Kommen gerne wieder.

Me and my wife were actually looking for another restaurant that day, Ora Viva. They didn't have any seats available outside, and then we saw this place right next to it with a few free tables out in the street. Since we had no cash, before ordering anything we asked a waiter, in English, if they accept bank cards. He replied, in English, "Yes, we do". Once I asked for a receipt, another waiter said they didn't accept bank cards. When I told him that one of his colleagues claimed just the opposite, the answer was "The colleague doesn't speak English...". And since that other guy suddenly stopped speaking English, I had to look for an ATM to withdraw some cash, and loose some money on transaction fees...
The meal was fine though, and the service, except for that suddenly-not-speaking-English part, which was totally not OK.

I had been here 2 years ago and really loved it, went back again with my family and something had changed. I was very disappointed in the staff (tried to charge an extra 25% to the bill), no longer small plates, felt like it lost its way. Wish I had never returned and lost the good memories.

This is only my personal opinion.
I did had lunch is this Taberna in the Ribeira area and as is a very touristic place, prepare to pay a little bit more than in other towns near Oporto.
The fact that they don’t take credit cards it’s a little bit disappointing!
Now l, I have to say that the food was not bad and it was actually really good.
Again the bottles of wine are over price.
Maybe it’s good for a tourist that doesn’t know much about Portugal but for Portuguese people and that know the real prices of Portugal, they won’t be happy.
As you can see on the reply of the owner of the restaurant, He does not accept any negative feedback! In my opinion that’s really bad for any type of business. It means you don’t want to improve in any type of way.
When I say the wine is overprice it’s because it is over price!!!! You go to any part of Portugal and you can buy your 12€ bottles of wine for 3€ maximum.
So instead of giving an attitude to your reviewers I recommend you to be more polite and accept critics.
For now I’ll make sure I don’t set a foot step on your place and don’t recommend it to anyone and you’re 2020 almost make sure you start accepting credit cards it’s way more practical.
P.S- I’m sure you must be paying a big High salary to your employees what €400?

La comida tuvo una parte buena (sopa de pescado y croquetas) y una decepcionante: el plato principal, bacalao a la portuguesa, apenas presentaba 100 gramos de pescado, en un plato para 2 personas, por un precio de 25€. Apenas 2 tacos de pescado por persona acompañado de repollo y patatas al horno... Una desilusión total.

We went a couple of times last week. Very nice atmosphere & service, great music and excellent food. Beef sandwich, cold octopus salad, cod fish & chickpea, cheese platter and sweet cheese bake are all excellent. Nice selection of wines, and very reasonably priced, too. And Rogerio is the best host! All his recommendations are right on.
One note - they do not take credit cards, so have cash ready.

Après une longue marche pour trouver un resto ( tout était complet) on s'est retrouvé là un peu par hasard et le hasard à vraiment bien fait les choses! C'est un petit resto de tapas, les plats sont très savoureux, la morue était cuite à la perfection et la purée de pois chiche délicieuse. Le lemon curd était très bon également. Le service impeccable, la serveuse était aimable et parlait un anglais parfait. Pour couronner le tout ils passaient même de la bonne musique! Juste un petit bémol, le plateau de charcuterie ne vaut pas le coup, cher et pas sensationnel. Si c'était à refaire on prendrait 2 petits plats chacun. Au final une addition un peu cher pour Porto ,44€, mais on y retournera!

I have tried restaurants of sagres, lagos, portiMao, faro, Lisbon, espinho and porto c is the worst of all !! Overpriced for Portugal and even for France !!! Non-existent quantities, kitchen that wants to be fine ... the best dish is the tray of cheeses! Very very poor value for money never go there! All restaurants are full except this one we know why ....

This is a lovely tapas style restaurant in a narrow little side street. We ordered a mixed platter of cheese (some strong, extra stinky cheeses on the platter) and charcuterie (gorgeous smoked sausage) and a side of caldo verde - it was delicious, lovely bottle of white to wash it down with too. It was great to watch all the people going by. Just note that they do not accept credit card.

Todo lleno un sábado noche,decidimos pararnos a comer por las buenas referencias. ...comida sin gracia,escasa y cara para lo que es Portugal.La peor comida en una semana en este país.

Taberna is a nice place to dinner or to have lunch before a walk for the beautiful ribeira. They cook codfish perfectly and the cheesecake is incomparable (make sure you have room for it). I'm a fan of their spicy shrimp curry and of their staff cause they are so kind with everything that you really feel at home.

on est passè ici juste avant d'aller voir le couche de soleil c'est pour sa on a choisi un resto pas si loins et moi du monde. mais l'interieur etait chic et moderne. on etait deux et on a commandé 3 petits plats (porc, poisson, poulpe) avec un verre du vin et un verre de cocktail. ça a coûté un peu moins de 30€. la qualité rapport le prix, c'etait juste parfait. à recommander mais fortement! les serveurs sont sympa et gentil.
un point negative : paiement uniquement en espece. on avait pas du tout d'espece et on a du allé au ATM.

Went here twice during our stay. Tapas was superb with local wine to match. Staff were so friendly and to be told you are our guest tells you that you are valued. It was cash only but the prices were not expensive. Worth a visit.

We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. The owner was very lively and provided a warm welcome. He spoke both English and French. The server was also very nice and recommended Portuguese wines that fit our taste perfectly.
The food was excellent and the prices very good for the quality of the food and atmosphere. The menu changes seasonally. The cheese board was nice for discovering different Portuguese cheeses, but it would have been better shared by 4 people rather than just 2!
They do not accept bank cards, only cash. There is an ATM a few minutes away.

Great little tavern. Very tasty tapas. Great and friendly host and chef. If you go there ask for the cheese cake. Best I ever had. Prices are normal for this area. Recommend. Cash only place.

Molt bona tria si voleu dinar menjant productes tradicionals portuguesos, sense luxes però per a gaudir el vostre viatge també amb el paladar,. Racions molt generoses, dues persones poden menjar tranquilament compartint-ne una. Tracte molt amable. Preus assequibles. També tenen un menú econòmic, però personalment penso que val la pena pagar una miqueta més i poder triar entre una àmplia varietat de plats deliciosos. No és el típic lloc per a turistes. Quan hi vam anar només hi havia una altra parella i nosaltres que no fóssim portuguesos.

Small and nice place with a good service. It has a good price but it doesn't take credit card. We didn't try the cousine here.
