The Surfcastle is a simply awesome place and very well located just a few steps away from the beach, perfect for going to surf, doing some yoga or simply enjoying some time off in the beautiful garden, on the terrace with stunning views or in the cozy living room. The owners as well as the staff and guest are super friendly and will immediately make you feel at home. Thank you for the great time and the wonderful experiences! :)

Visit surfcastle for a week of surf lessons in September. Learned a lot and made great friends, I plan to do it all again next year!

It was my first solo trip ever and first time surfing experience in my whole life, and I can't imagine anything better than staying at Surfcastle. Joaõ was very welcoming, and so was the rest of the crew, who made me feel like a part of the family. The place is not only beautifully located at the edge of the cliff, but also has the best access to the beach and magnificent views from literally any window. The whole concept and idea of Surfcastle is to make every visitor feel like home, rather hotel or B&B. You can crash on the couch to take a nap in the living room, or watch TV in between your surf sessions. Surf instructors turned into friends, making my experience truly fun and chill. And of course the whole area around is full of wonderful cafe's and restaurants so you won't have to worry about having dinner or lunch. I will definitely go back to Surfcastle, and try to make it a small tradition.

The Surfcastle is the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in! The location is unique right on a cliff overlooking two sides of the ocean. Breakfast is delicious and the castle really reminds me of a castle due to the architecture and the furniture. Everybody should have experienced staying at this beautiful place at least once. Baleal is the nicer and arty part of Peniche. Better stay here than in the center of Peniche! Thank you Joao and your staff for this beautiful time! I will come back.

Pessoas simpáticas. O espaço é agradável. Está mesmo ao pé do mar!

Dois mares a norte e a sul confrontam-se no estreito desta pequena península que deixa a sul uma magistosa baía e a norte uma encosta de arribas e praia que se perdem no horizonte. Bem no centro o encadeamento de duas ilhas e um ilheu, uma salpicada de pequenos telhados lembrando conquistas de outros tempos e que contrasta com as seguintes que preservam o seu estado puro e natural. Num remate final, imponente e distante as berlengas dissipam-se no horizonte envolta em mistério e com promessas de outras aventuras.

One of the best surf house ive been to! Such a great crew and location. Couldn't have asked for a better surf trip! Definitely recommend to my friends!
