We did an amazing 4 day trip in the Allentejo region (evora-beja-mertola-serpa-evora) using bikes from D'bike. The bikes where amazing, taking us over small gravel roads with ease, and the service was even better. The bikes where equipped with bikepacking materials and he even lend us some spare parts. I can recommend the trip and the shop to everyone.

Daniel, or doctor Daniel, as some people refer to him, is worthy of every star possible. Our experience with him revealed a shop owner who is professional, creative, warm and generous. My wife, two kids and I were on a long multi-month bicycle tour. A bad stroke of luck brought us to accidentally break both our dynamo hubs with in a couple of days. Since Dynamos are a Dutch/German thing, no one could really help us in this part of Europe. When we got to Evora we tried our luck in another bike shop but the shop owner immediately sent us to D'Bike. Daniel at D'Bike took a look and was skeptical. Then he tried again to see if the thing was serviceable. Again it didn't work. As he was returning the wheel he decided to have one more go and bingo - he got it open. But that was just the beginning - it turned out that the repair required some fine electric rewiring - not something to be done in a bike shop. Daniel didn't give up. He left us in the shop and ran around the corner with our wheel to a friend at a phone lab. when he returned he helped us bring all our stuff into the store and sent us to enjoy the city - in an hour he would know if they would be successful with the first wheel and if so they would do the second. They were successful! and Daniel also helped me repair a few other little things as well. This whole time Daniel was extremely accommodating. when he saw I was uncomfortable about clogging his store with our stuff he told me to feel free and that the store is now our home until we're done. Not to mention the price for all this - I couldn't believe what he asked for - anyone else would have asked for at least quadruple the amount if not a lot more. Daniel`s wonderful and he built this place up himself - if there`s anyone worth giving business to it's this guy at D'Bike!

Would absolutely recommend D'Bike if you want to hire bikes in Evora. We hired for 5 days, covered 300km , the bikes were well maintained and ideal for a mix of tarmac and gravel roads and came equipped with rack bags, bottle cages, spare tubes etc. Lots of good advice on routes as well. Really made our holiday a total pleasure. Thank you!

I confirm with the other reviews. Daniel is the man: friendly, easy-going and he makes the bike rental a welcoming experience. For 15€ per day, we got to rent and ride two solid bikes (30€ for 2) in good condition, that carried us for 40km without any problems (roads and off road). Our bikes were equipped with a lock, pump, extra tubes and fixing materials. I would gladly revisit and rent a bike at this place.

We got excellent sercive from the bikeshop and knowellege from the ecopista bicycling road. The bikes were good and they were well maintained. The price was 15€ per bike per day.

Renting bikes from the shop was extremely easy and Daniel was more than helpful. Daniel made sure we were all set with helmets and spare tubes and said we could call him if we needed to. He asked where we were riding (short ride to the megaliths by Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe) and helped us pick a route that was nearly car free and more scenic than the one we had originally planned on. The shop itself was well-stocked with plenty of Specialized bikes, apparel, and equipment spanning the range, as well as a few other brands, and a nicely set up repair/shop area. Overall, bikes were great!

Daniel makes bike rentals easy. The bikes were in good shape and came with bags, helmets, tubes, pump and locks. Everything worked well. There were absolutely no problems. Daniel was also extremely responsive to our emails when we’re setting up the rental. I would definitely recommend this shop. Robert + Deirdre, Canada

Daniel is amazing. He was out of bikes so rented me his personal ride. Meticulously maintained, they were just great. Daniel added lights, pump, spare without me even asking. Then he shared his fav routes in the area, and texted me to ask how was my day. Unbelievable experience!!

I am in Evora Area for a cycling Holiday and my bike had a Problem at the dropouts after the flight. So I went to see Daniel and he immediately helped me out and fixed the dropouts. Was complicated but he was able to improvise and fixed it. Nice guy, very competent. Highly recommended.

Gil, Galacio and team were a fantastic group to rent road bikes from on our trip to Portugal. Gil, Galacio and team helped us with finding the bike store, fitting us with the right size bikes, provided us the necessary accessories needed(bike pump) and even provided us a tip on a good traditional Portuguese restaurant to eat at. It is obvious that Gil and the team at D'Bike Loja de Bicicletas are passionate about bike riding and providing an excellent riding rental experience and service to their bike riding customers. Gil invited us on his regularly scheduled Wednesday night bike ride, which we would have loved to go on but we were so tired from riding early in the day. Gil’s and Galacio’s communication with us to insure the proper meet up times for pickup and drop off of the bikes was fantastic and helped make some our bike riding vacation time in Evora go smoothly. Anyone interested in a road bike trip in the Evora area of Portugal, I would highly recommend renting your bikes from Gil and team at D'Bike Loja de Bicicletas.

Great service, great pricing. Easy walk from center of city to get the bikes. We biked on the trail to a winery nearby. Super fun!

Looking to rent a bike whilst in Evora, head here to see Daniel! Good quality bikes and helpful info on where to go. Come back very wet after a downpour and Daniel offered me a clean towel, use of the bathroom and to order a taxi back to the hotel! Super friendly and helpful service.

We had an incredibly amazing experience with " Dr Daniel". He looked after us in many more ways than we expected. I needed my trike to initially be assembled after travelling by air to Portugal, then dissasembled after our cycling tour, in order to fly home. Daniel did this perfectly and helped my friend with her pedal problems in no time at all. On our return trip I had some gear/chain problems which Danial helped me sort out by phone. Then finally after the dissasembly, Daniel had the trike delivered to our hotel. I should also mention that much of this took place after hours. At least 5 stars to D-Bike Evora , I would give way more if I could!!
