Hoch gelegen- super Blick über das Douro Tal. Ein altes charmantes Herrenhaus. Abendsonne mit einem Portwein, perfekt. Hausmannskost wurde zum gemeinsamen Abendessen am grossen Tisch gereicht. Gute Gespräche und interessante Menschen. Wir hatten das Gartenhaus, mit schönem Bad. Es gibt einen herrlichen Salon und im Sommer einen Swimmingpool

Cannot fault this spot. The view is stunning. They have their own small vineyard and Olive Garden which you can wander around. The host Maria was great, we felt very at home and stayed in a room slightly off the main house. Staff very helpful and organised a tours for some of the wineries. We had dinner here one night and had traditional Portuguese food. It really was amazing!

Dit is werkelijk 1 van de mooiste plaatsen waar je kunt overnachten. Vanaf het terras heb je een subliem uitzicht over de wijngaarden en de Douro. Je overnacht in een museum uit 1733 en kunt samen met de andere gasten dineren in the Dining room.

My wife and I stopped by this small, privately owned, wintery during our day trip to Douro Valley. They make table wine there. We tried their white, red and olive oil. My wife loved their white wine and we bought a couple of bottles. The winery has a small museum inside with old equipment were used for a century to make olive oil. The winery sits on the top of a hill with an astonishing view of the Douro Valley.

Tolle Lage, schöne Zimmer, historisches Ambiente. Das Abendessen war sehr gut, alle Gäste essen zusammen am großen Tisch. Maria hat uns noch in einer Kurzführung die Historie des Hauses erzählt, was sehr interessant war. Absolut empfehlenswert.

A home that has a extensive history, over the generations. It is part of a vineyard high in the hills with beautifu views of the Douro Valley. The house and contents have charm and staff ensure your every need is met.Wonderful to have the option of a home cooked Portugese meal and not have to drive out to eat. Our bedroom may not have been as luxurious as some B&Bs but a lovely resisidece to stay in. Just be aware that the GPS may take you on a short cut up the mountain that is a goat track!

This place is so incredibly special. It is absolutely gorgeous and cozy and peaceful and has unbelievable views overlooking the river, valley and vineyards. Maria takes SUCH good care of you and you can tell she wants you to have a relaxing, fun, beautiful, peaceful time. She is such a kind, warm, helpful person. The hotel is an absolutely gorgeous villa with wooden floors and antiques and large windows and French doors leading out onto maybe some of the best views we have ever experienced. We jumped in the beautiful pool, enjoyed hot showers and slept so incredibly well. We really enjoyed the delicious dinner and breakfast at the dining room with our fellow guests. Everything was so comfortable. There were lovely walks all around and even two quintas about 2 minutes walking distance. If you have a car, the parking is just right outside the door, and it is not a far drive up from Pinhao. We wish we could have stayed longer as we felt so relaxed. Thank you for everything, Maria!

This place is like heaven on Earth! Absolutely stunning views in every direction. The rooms are quaint and romantic. Maria was so kind and made us feel at home during our honeymoon stay. She really cares for her visitors. We joined another group for a family dinner at the B&B and met some amazing people while sipping port wine! We took our time and walked the vineyard and made our way down to Pinhao (40 min). This is a very special place and one we look forward to returning to!

This is a very fine (and romantic) place with a fantastic view over Pinhão and the Douro River. The atmosphere is like you are visiting a family. The sweet hostess, Maria, makes you feel very much at home and she will do anything for you. The only thing missing was a fan in the room, as the nights were quite warm (but an open door to the terrace helped)

This hotel is all about the view, which is spectacular. The house is lovely, though the guest rooms and bathrooms felt a bit tired. We were there during a heat wave and there is no air conditioning, which wasnt a surprise, but there were also no fans, other than one fan in the dining room, which was not effective. To not have fans in the guest rooms in an area that gets as hot as it does is pretty shocking at this price point. In addition, the towels were threadbare - embarrassing, really. And the sheets and bedding desperately needed a refresh. It felt more like you were staying at a friends country house rather than a EUR 150/night hotel.We had also reserved dinner at the hotel. We enjoyed meeting the other guests and had some really interesting discussions, but the food was quite forgettable and the alcohol (not included in the dinner) surprisingly expensive. The breakfast, which was included, was the worst we had in all our travels that month.If you dont have a car, you can take a taxi from the train station, but beware that theres really nothing to do once youre there, apart from relax by the pool. So if its not a nice day, youd better have a good book.So if you have a car and want a spectacular view, its an interesting option for a night. But overall, we felt it wasnt a great value given its drawbacks and wouldnt stay again.

Een hele mooie autorit ernaar toe en wat een prachtig uitzicht . Dineren met producten van de streek en uiteraard een heerlijk glaasje port. Gedreven zorgzame gastvrouw.

Hotel perché sur la colline dominant Pendant. Vue magnifique. Superbe piscine et chambre très confortable. Très bon accueil dans ce cadre à la décoration rustique. Cest un gîte avec 6 chambres dhôtes.

Estadiia em data de há vários anos, da qual guardei excelentes memórias. Quartos muito bem decorados, com peças dos séculos xviii e xix, mantendo o conforto comtenporâneo. Pequeno-almoço qb, porventura, hoje, melhorado. Jantar agradável na companhia dos donos da casa. Paisagem avalassadora, em que é permitida a expressão corriqueira de "cortar a respiração". Em tudo um cinco estrelas a repetir.

The swimming pool overlooking the valley was stunning, though not heated, so rather cold. It is very difficult to find the property especially as there is no clear indication on the building. The receptionist was most unwelcoming, However the rest of the staff very friendly.We requested a twin room, but given a very small double.

This lovely house has a spectacular view of the Douro River valley. Sitting on the terrace with a glass of wine or coffee, and walking through the vineyard were highlights of our trip. We couldn’t recommend it more highly

We loved this place. It was beautiful and we enjoyed living in the small village. Although it was only for one night, we managed to take in the views with a few bottles of wine after dinner and in the morning. The lady working here was lovely, she spoke little English but it didn't matter as she was friendly and the included breakfast cooked by her was delicious. Just a warning, since some don't seem to realize, this is not a hotel to access without a car :).

Fantastic view and setting. Maria could not have been more welcoming. We were glad we made reservations for dinner.The drive up the the road was a steady uphill and curvy.

A beautiful "boutique" hotel style accommodation in a lovely 300 year old property with utterly stunning views overlooking the Douro valley. Peaceful, calm tranquil. Attentive service when required. Perfection! With the opportunity to book an evening meal, (which saves a drive to the local town) to stay and enjoy the sun setting over the hills and mountains..........

Tolle Aussicht ins Dourotal von der Terrasse und vom Pool. Zimmer sauber, aber alte Einzelbetten könnten erneuert werden. Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück war sehr fein, Abendessen war Geschmackssache.

Casa antiga senhorial, um conceito muito diferente do que estou habituado. muito boa mesa vinhos de qualidade o staf muito prestvel e simpático. o preço ? Nãoo e barato.

Beautiful scenery, very nice host and we really loved the dinner, it's not ala cart and your sitting with all the quest at the same table, which can bring up nice conversations, the food is also very tasteful and traditional. The view from the house over the valley is wonderful and at times even breath taking. We decided to walk from the station (pinhao) and took the road up from the bridge, which takes you literaly through the vineyards, though steep and hard, especially on warm and sunny days, it's really great and gives you a once in a lifetime experience.

Other than trying to locate it, the stay was terrific. The view of the Douro valley from the back terrace was amazing

Familien geführtes Hotel. Sehr freundliches Personal. Gemeinsames Abendessen und Frühstück in gemütlicher Atmosphäre. Toller Ausblick in das Duoro Tal. Kann man getrost weiter empfehlen.

Local muito bom para descansar. Tem piscina. A vista sobre o rio Douro e Pinhão é fantástica. Ótimo para carregar baterias!

Klein und überschaubar, kurvenreiche Anfahrt auf engen Strassen, auf historisch getrimmte Einrichtung, sparsames Frühstück und selbstbewusste Preise für die hauseigenen Weine.

Never felt less welcome. Was it because the hostess only spoke Portuguese and didn't make an effort to understand us? Was it because of the old fashioned decorating with family portraits staring at you? Was it about the mattress as hard as stone in the dark sleeping room or about the shower that didn't have hot water? All in all a night to remember...

Vista magnífica sobre o Pinhão e o Douro

The drive is nearly hair-raising - very steep narrow streets through the village. The miradouro over Douro is breathtaking and totally worth driving to.

This hotel has a beautiful view of the Douro valley and River. The only problem once you are up there, and getting there is a bit of a challenge, there is very little else to do. There is one winery up there but it was closed even though it was supposed to be open. The food at supper was overpriced but you are stuck getting it since there is nothing else available . There is a really nice olive oil museum that offers a great tour and good wine and olive oil. That was our highlight

Situated on hills overlooking the Douro valley, the Casa de Casal de Loivos has stunning views to begin with. Having a cold port-tonic while enjoying the views is an amazing experience. Then there is the impeccable service of Bernardo and his people who take care of all details. There is also an optional dinner cooked in-house which is a bit pricey but worth it, especially if you don't have a car as the village does not have any restaurants. All rooms face the large terrace with great views and access to the pool. If I had to mention one little thing to improve...it would be the filter coffee in the morning. This is a true gem in the Douro valley which I can heartily recommend.

Apesar da boa localização e instalações, lamento ter sabido que esta Casa de Turismo foi comprada/recuperada com dinheiros pouco lícitos e que o seu dono arranjou essas verb as quando foi para a CCDRN e se aproveitou do lugar para, a fundo perdido, restaurar e gastar milhões neste projeto. Gente de pouca dignidade quando ocupa lugares partidários. E, porque é que só tem comentários de estrangeiros? Onde andam os portugueses???ou será que não interessa que lá vão e façam perguntas embaraçosas para os funcionários? O ministério público havia de estar atento a estes casos.
