How lucky I was to find this place. Take an extremely helpful and sympathetic owner family, combine it with a very quiet location with a stunning sea view from the first floor and you don't want to leave any more!

Owners were friendly and helpful! Short walk to the 'town' centre and lovely view out the window. Sagres was VERY windy while we were there but the accom was great. Room was even cleaned every day

The friendliest owner and a great place to stay. We have wonderful memories of this place and would definitely come back again. The beds were very hard though, but that might be a cultural thing.

Might have been the most attentive, polite and helpful hosts ever encountered. Son runs the check-in & check-out and provides helpful and precise information and recommendation. Older gentleman (father?) hosts the daily breakfast. Both incredibly friendly and polite. Speak fluent English as well.

Joao è un host estremamente accogliente e disponibile. Casa Grillo si trova vicino a una spiaggia molto bella e poco frequentata. Ha delle camere con vista e terrazzo che fanno sognare.

Si hay un lugar amable, ese es casa Grilo. Y todo el entorno goza de esa virtud, la dueña, su hijo Joao, se desviven en que los huéspedes se encuentren a gusto, sin agobiarles en absoluto, pero estando pendientes. Ora dan una explicación pedida, ora preparan atentamente el desayuno, o aconsejan un lugar, o atienden una necesidad. Con ellos todo es facil. Limpio el lugar, verdaderamente es el sitio al que siempre gustaría volver, y que sirviera de ejemplo a muchos otros

Alle machen Ihren Part gerne und mit liebe. Joao ist ein perfekter Ratgeber. Er kennt Land und Leute und gibt super Tipps. “Hemos estado por dos noches alojados en Casa Grilo. No es un lugar céntrico, está lo suficientemente apartado para poder disfrutar de la tranquilidad y las vistas del mar. Caminar cinco minutos a un lado y estar en el centro. Caminar cinco minutos a otro y está en la playa. Habitación amplia, con balcón y vistas al mar donde despertar viendo el amanecer. Todo estaba muy limpio, toallas, geles individuales. Tetera, agua y nevera. TV en español. Jõao nos atendió siempre con simpatía y nos recomendó algunos lugares donde salir a almorzar o cenar. No nos importaría repetir.”

Very nice(!) and helpful staff. Great seaview. Extended our stay. 10 Minutes walk to the beach. Free parking in front of the house. Would recommand a room with balcony on the first floor.

Gentile accoglienza, Buona posizione proprio fronte oceano, camera pulitissima sobriamente arredata. Manca un tavolo per appoggiare la valigia . Struttura ben tenuta .

El lugar está suficientemente cerca para moverte andando por Sagres y suficientemente lejos para estar apartado del turisteo. Además, si tienes más suerte que nosotros puedes disfrutar de una habitación con vistas al mar y terraza donde disfrutar de los desayunos y las meriendas. No es excesivamente barato: a nosotros nos costó una habitación con dos camas individuales, sin terraza ni vistas, con desayuno incluido 140 €. La habitación es muy muy grande, con un buen baño, super limpia, no para los estándares portugueses, sino para los españoles. Además, a efectos prácticos es casi un hotel, con servicio de limpieza de la habitación a diario y con una buena nevera (pequeña) y hervidor a tu disposición. No tiene recepción, pero puedes llamar por teléfono para lo que necesites. Las personas que lo dirigen son una familia muy agradable, especialmente el hijo, Joao, que está para todo. La calidad del desayuno buffet buena, quizás se eche en falta algo más de fruta, pero tienen dulces muy ricos. Las camas quizás sean el punto flaco, son de muelles y no son incómodas, pero sí mejorables. La experiencia en general muy buena, si repetimos será en habitación con vistas.

Habitación y baño limpios. La habitación que nos tocó bastante grande. Desayuno bueno y variado, con pan, dulces, cereales, zumos, café, chocolate.. Y el trato de los dueños, lo mejor. Atentos y encantadores!

Nice bedrooms with private bathrooms. The owner is friendly and ready to help and the building is within walking distance of the beach and Las the 15 min by car from Cape Sao Vincent, The fort, and a lot of other breathtaking places.

Family run guesthouse, friendly people. The room I had, was with beautiful views of the sea and coastline, the room itself was simple and clean with bathroom, all a bit rudimentary furbished, feeling a bit too cool. Shower head and rail were partly broken, at a price of €65 in September, I find it a bit overpriced, compared to other places I've been in Portugal.

Nice simple apartments, clean and tidy without any extras. The breakfast could be better. The staff is very friendly.

Richtig nette Unterkunft. Die Hausherren sind super super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich hatte Mega Sonnenbrand und sie haben mir extra eine Aloe Vera Pflanze besorgt, damit ich mich damit einreiben konnte. Danke dafür!! Das Frühstück und vor allem der Kaffee ist ein Traum!! Vielen Dank für eine unvergessliche Zeit im Juli 2015.
