A pontinha da Europa com um por de sol único e fantástico. Dificel descrever este paraiso. Para quem gosta de faróis, tem um farol activo e com visitas gratuitas às quartas-feiras um farol muito bonito e ainda activo.

A few years back, arrived in Sagres from Lagos. Sun was shining so immediately walked/hitched from town camping. I was very impressed. I made my way back to Sagres with the magnificent sunset at my back. Before bedding down, I wrote a postcard telling my friends of my luck in finding this beautiful rugged place. During the night an Atlantic depression moved in and I awoke to strong wind and rain. I was advised that the bad weather would continue for three days at least so, last to leave, I got my gear together and walked out. Sad but I will return.

People can see the astonishing cliff with waves from the ocean. It's nice to arrive this place "the end of the world". We didn't try the restaurant. Toilet is a bit expensive (0.7€).

Llevábamos buenas referencias, pero nos defraudó. La zapatería estaba buena pero el relleno nos paració corto, el bistec seco y tieso, el huevo cuajado, las papas fritas de paquete congeladas, las bolsas muy tiesas. En fin, nos pareció caro y normalito, la atención agradable.

The obvious attraction of this spot is the location - quite literally the end of the (known) world for the early Portuguese explorers. The cliffs are impressive, with an unimpeded view of the vast Atlantic Ocean, though more impressive cliff views can be had further east along the coast such as those near Ferragudo and Benegil.
The lighthouse dominates the cape; within its walls is a restaurant and small museum.
Pay Toilet facilities are available. Ample roadside parking on the access road outside.
A good add-on stop while in Sagres.

Muito bacana. Tem uma linda vista e um pequeno café dentro da área do farol onde pode beber e comer algo. Há uma loja de souvenires e banheiros (deverá pagar €0.70 para usar). No estacionamento não vi parquímetro e a pista que chega a este farol e estreita e longa. Só de carro mesmo pra chegar com tranquilidade, a não ser que tenha bastante ânimo e força pra caminhada. Mas valeu.

Beautiful, beautiful place, even on a stormy day. We went early Sunday afternoon and had no trouble parking. There’s a gift shop, cafe, and small museum right inside the gates, just be sure to bring cash if you need to use the bathrooms (€0.70) or visit the museum (€3), your bathroom ticket can be used for a €0.50 discount at the cafe.

One of the best moments of my life seeing this, make sure u get there early enough so u don't miss sunset! it is breathtaking and the photos and video does not truly represent the beauty of the cliffs. if you are anywhere close you need to go :)

Dieser Ort war für mich ein besonderes Erlebnis. " Am Ende der Welt" und die Ausblicke von diesem Flecken um diese spätnachmittags Zeit mit dem Sonnenstand waren sehr beeindruckend. Dem stand die Einkehr im dortigen "Café" mit sehr gut schmeckenden Pasteis und Chocolate quente nicht nach.

Úžasne miesto na sledovanie západu slnka. Má to obrovské čaro, atmosf=ru a hĺbku. Ľudia prichádzajú v predstihu, zaparkujú na útese a na kapotách a strechách aut sledujú tú úžasnú hru svetla a atmosféry. Určite si treba spraviť viac času a navštíviť okolie. Je to nekončiaca krajina. V chladnejšom počasí treba myslieť na dobré oblečenie, nakoľko vietor to vie znepríjemniť. Tiež treba zostať aj po západe, aj vtedy to má svoje čaro. Súčasťou majáku je aj kaviareň, ktorá má ale svoje otváracie hodiny, tak pozor na to.

Rien à voir. La vue n'est pas moins belle à l'extérieur du fort. À l'intérieur, 2 commerces, 1 bar, 1 WC payant 0,70€.ce qui fait méga cher comparé au salaire minimum du Portugal qui est inférieur à 800€. Il y a aussi une pseudo statue commémorative sans intérêt et quelques pièces en céramique vraiment très moche.

Schöne und gepflegte Anlage, tolle Aussicht aber ansonsten passiert nichts. Auf dem Weg zum Leuchtturm noch schnell die letzte Bratwurst vor Amerika mitnehmen und dann einfach den Ausblick am Cap genießen. Wer Lust hat kann ja noch ein wenig im Souvenir Shop stöbern , aber dann ist das Cap von Sao Vicente auch abgearbeitet.

El cabo san vicente es una visita obligada del algarve,precioso paraje;tiene un faro precioso y tiendas de suvenir,tambien puedes tomarte una cervecita viendo la puesta del sol.

Une jolie balade sur la côte très ventée ce jour là comme bien souvent une jolie vue sur les hautes falaises de l algarve. On peut admirer les vagues claquer comme des dingues et notemment l'île rocher en forme de vieilles chaussures. Seul point triste les nombreux déchets sur la côtes souvent bloqués dans les buissons par le vent pour ceux qui ne volent pas jusqu'à l'océan et surtout les bouteilles verre plastique canettes... Et tout les fils de pêche et autres matos du genre c'est impressionnant et triste pour un chouette lieu

Lugar precioso que hay que visitar igual que Finisterre, son lugares especiales e importantes en nuestra geografía. Se puede entrar gratis, el bar que hay no es muy barato pero el café está bueno. Entrar a los servicios cuestan 70 céntimos.

Ein Highlight jedes Algarvetrips. Die Aussicht fasziniert alle. Und die Vorstellung, dass hier unser Kontinent endet, regt zum Grübeln an. Der Leuchtturm selbst ist unzugänglich. Es gibt ein Bistro und natürlich die unvermeidlichen Souvenirshops. Wer sich nur den Atlantikwind um die Nase pusten lassen will, ist hier auch richtig.

Lecker und freundlich, im üblichen touri preisniveau, ganz am Ende der Straße Leuchtturm, Museum, restaurant/Cafe, sogar ein ATM geldautomat...
Schöner blick auf sagres und die andere küstenseite, aber steilküsten. Erst ca. 1 km zurück, dann 500m westlich schotterpiste (fiese piste, No-Go ohne 4wheels) steiler rutschiger Zugang zum Meer. Bei Ebbe Strand und Höhlen, bei Flut patschnassgarantie.

Out of season, even though the lighthouse area was supposed to be ooen to the public, the gates were locked. Also, there were no toilet facilities open for the still visiting coach parties.

Farol do Cabo de São Vicente, ter-se-á iniciado em 1515 no convento de São Vicente a construção de uma torre, onde se acendeu uma luz, provavelmente uma fogueira ocasional, mantida pelos Religiosos que ali viviam para servir de guia aos navegantes, relevando a importância deste local. Em 1587, o corsário Francis Drake tomou de assalto o convento, acabando por destruir a torre que só seria mandada restaurar em 1606 por Filipe II, ficando a luz apagada durante esse período. Após sofrer várias tentativas de reconstrução nunca definitivamente concluidas, o farol de São Vicente tal como hoje o conhecemos, foi mandado construir por ordem de D. Maria II em 1846. O aparelho iluminante era composto por dezasseis candeeiros de Argand com refletores parabólicos funcionando a azeite. A rotação do aparelho fazia-se através de um mecanismo de relojoaria. Durante largos anos o farol de São Vicente foi votado ao abandono achando-se em estado deplorável segundo rezam as crónicas em 1865.

Hay que visitarlo, es una de las puntas de Europa le damos mucha importancia a Cabo Norte y está punta esta más olvidada. Tienes unas preciosas vistas de los acantilados y la zona es preciosa. Es un faro muy agradable con buen tiempo, hay una cafetería en su interior en la que te tiraría horas sentado y una pequeña tienda de recuerdos. No le pongo 5 estrellas porque sería mucho mejor visita si te enseñase el faro.

Hier soll der südwestlichste Punkt Europas sein!? Der ca. 28 m hohe "a Torre de Farol do Cabo São Vicente" bei Sagres (Leuchtturm) steht auf einer ca. 70 m hohen Felswand und bietet einen grandiosen Ausblick in alle Richtungen des Atlantiks. Man muss bei gutem Wetter mit viel Publikumsandrang rechnen. Die Bude mit der "letzten Bratwurst vor Amerika" war zum Zeitpunkt unseres Besuches geschlossen! Der Innenhof, wo sich der Leuchtturm befindet, beinhaltet ein Restaurant, ein Museum, einen Souvenirladen und ein christliches "Symbol", in Form eines kleineren Denkmals. Der Leuchtturm kann für 3 € Eintritt besichtigt werden. Hier muss man einfach hin!

Sitio turístico situado en el borde de un acantilado donde da servicio el faro. Recinto con buen acceso a todo tipo de personas. Tiene aparcamiento fuera. Lavabos de pago. Tienen un bar interior con una buena terraza y un pequeño museo de la historia del faro. El acceso desde la población cercana está bien señalizado y con carretera asfaltada. Vistas impresionantes de los acantilados y el mar. Recomendable su visita.

La pointe sud-ouest du portugal est magnifique et l'ancien marin que je suis à un brin de nostalgie face à cet océan, bleu, toujours en mouvement, fort et imposant, qui incite à un minimun de modestie.
Les longues vagues, provenant du large, viennent terminer leur existence, sur cette étrave du portugal qui a vu le passage de tant de grands navigateurs. Les vaisseaux et autres frégates sous voiles ont inauguré ces voies maritimes qui sont maintenant parcourues par des cataramans, des porte-containers, des paquebots équipés de moyens modernes de communication.
Il y a 50 ans, un départ en mer avait encore un goût d'aventure et d'incertitude, il fallait couper les ponts avec la terre, parfois pour de longues semaines, avec comme souvenir la douceur des lèvres de la compagne restée sur le quai. Et le retour à terre avait un goût magique, tout semblait plus beau: le rire cristallin des enfants, les yeux des femmes qui parfois rappelaient le large, le père qui disait:«mon fils!», la mère qui pleurait de bonheur, les amis qui disaient:«raconte!». J'ai encore le goût du sel sur les lèvres...

De vuurtoren zelf is niet bijzonder, maar de kustlijn is fenomenaal mooi. Tip, stop op de weg van Sagres naar Cabo de Sao Vincent, op de parkeerplaatsen, waardoor je het van verschillende kanten kan zien.

Preciosas vistas del oceano atlantico y el cabo San Vicente con sus escarpadas paredes. Merece la pena verlo. El faro sin embargo no es nada espectacular y tampoco se puede ver por dentro. Hay un pequeño museo y un bar, pero los precios son algo caros incluso para ir al WC.

Der Himmel hing voller Wolken. Alle Besucher schienen auf der Suche nach dem Erlebnis zu sein welches einem so am südwestlichen Zipfel Portugals widerfahren könnte. Aber es passierte halt nichts. Und so tummelten sich alle in den Souvenir Shops, Kaffeebar oder Toiletten. Der Leuchtturm steht unaufgeregt da und tut das wahrscheinlich jetzt auch noch .....
