Rented a board from Saturday to Sunday the following week but picked it up a day late and returned it a day early. There was no refund. The lady at the shop just said "no sorry" and did not seem to care at all. Will go somewhere else next time. The board itself was a bit heavy but ok. Got free roofracks with the board that's why I give 3 stars.

La prof était très pro et très agréable, le cours assez bien foutu pour des débutants. Voilà pour les points positifs. Les points négatifs : journée complète tronquée à la moitié à cause de la marée (il leur aura fallu attendre d’être sur la plage pour nous le dire), la prof fait sortir tout le monde de l’eau 45mn avant la fin pour aller surfer tranquillou pendant qu’on attend comme des cons sur la plage, accueil froid du reste du personnel, lunch box médiocre (tant en quantité qu’en qualité)... Si vous voulez apprendre le surf c’est pas trop mal, mais je conseillerais d’essayer ailleurs pour que les promesses commerciales soient tenues.

Great school with highly professional team. Stayed for 5 days of surfing and yoga and beyond happy with both. Instructors have infinite patience and are making sure that every surf lesson is useful and fun. Can’t even choose my favourite, the team of Carlos-Zac-Sabina is perfect. They all give great advice, have time for your questions, and somehow notice your mistakes and show how to correct them in the most efficient way even when you think they are watching somebody else. Every day was different because of different weather conditions and waves, and every day instructors were very clear and gave a lot of details about the timing of the lesson/what to expect/how the waves will change, etc. I seriously can’t imagine a better surf team spirit and will definitely come back. Do book yoga classes with the school - every yoga class with Marilina complements surfing classes, focusing on relaxation/releasing tension after surfing day and waking up muscles + training external and internal balance during the early morning class.

Definitely NOT recommended! It was our third experience of surfing with a surfing school and definitely the worst one. We already got a bad feeling as we arrived at their shop to book lessons and the girl there was quite unfriendly to us. On the website it is written that there is free pick up in Sagres area, but as we asked for this, we were told that we have to come ourselves directly to the shop on the day of surfing. We booked a so called “day trip” with 2 Surf Lessons*2h, however we surfed only once and only for 1,5 hours! The explanation was that the waves changed and came to near to the beach. But the instructors knew this from the beginning. They didn’t even try to find a better beach! Usually surfing schools choose the best place to surf in the day of surfing BEFORE going there. But we just went to the beach, which was located directly in front of their surf school. While looking at the beach they told: oh, there are some waves, let’s stay here. Weather condition will change, so it will be not possible to surf after 1pm and therefore we will have only one lesson. But we paid for TWO! In the water they just left us alone, saying if we would help you all the time, you will not learn how to surf. Usually instructors stay with you in the water and help to go on the board and catch first waves. All of wavesensation-instructors were standing at the beach talking to each other, no matter what we were doing in the water. And even when I asked for help, it lasted for more than ten minutes before they helped me. Summary: • Surfed 1,5 hours instead of 4 • For this we payed 55Euro per person • They don’t look for best conditions, but bring you to the nearest beach • No support in the water • No pick-up • Very disappointing Before that we tried surf lessons at “Future Surfing School” in Portimao and the experience was much better than we expected. So if you are looking for a good school in Argarve, better surf with them.

3 days of surfing lessons with the Wavesensarions crew and we’re hooked! The instructors were great at explaining everything about the surfing process from going to different beaches in the morning to check the conditions to advancing your skills at your own pace. We learned about tides, currents, how to choose waves and most importantly, how to surf. Great crew and the shop has all sorts of cool surf stuff. A surfschool where you actually learn something! The instructors are great, young, enthusiastic and very cool to be with. You will go to beaches you woudnt find otherwise and don't have to worry about any equipment (boards, suits, beach tents, lunch). It was a very nice experience and compared to other surfschools I visited the best one :)

We had four great days with Dominic, Zack, Carsten, Carlos (and a few other). They were good instructors but most of all had a very good hand with all of us. They handled middle aged men and women as good as teenage girls and a 9 year old boy. All beginners but with continuous feedback we felt like surfers (even if we still have some learning to do) . I recommend this to anyone, not the least to families. Small groups, efficient logistics. The lunch pack requires some personal boost for the young growing ones Thanks and see you again. /Jonas

I had a really good surf trip with Wave Sensations : good teacher who takes time to give our specific advices to improve your surfing, beautiful and various spots where Nelson get the best area for our group, lunch boxes ok, new wet suits, very very good organization!!! Thanks

Incredible experience! We booked one group lesson and could not have been happier! Our group was small and we had two trainers which made it very private. First we drove to a surf shop and got on a small van that took us to their camp where we got our wet suits and boards. Once we got to the beach (Tonel Beach) we were split into two groups, beginners and intermediate. Our beginners group had only five people. The instructor went through the safety training and then we went into the water. Overall we had two sessions that started at 10am with a short lunch in between and finished the day just after 3pm. This was more than enough time and we were exhausted at the end. Instructors were always near by, correcting our mistakes and helping us every step of the way. Definitely recommend! Also, if you come back and want to rent equipment you will get 10% off.

Had a great time learning how to surf at Wavesensations, the teachers know their stuff, are really dedicated and pay attention to details.

AMAZING experience!! My bf and I did the short stay (3x days surf, 4x night stay) which was perfect and not many other schools offer this type of package which was a big plus. We enjoyed our time so much we went surfing with them again the day we checked out! We highly recommend Wavesensation Surf camp & the surf house. The house itself is beautiful and has all the amenities you need. The interior is modern, clean and well designed- you feel right at home immediately. The welcoming staff is very professional, friendly and helpful (shout out to Pedro). We had a private double room which was phenomenal -high hotel standards. TV included, Wifi, great bathroom and nice bed. The only small missing part was a self controlled aircon or a fan. Breakfast was basic, but very nice. We would just recommend serving breakfast a bit earlier since there wasn't enough time to digest between breakfast and surf lessons. The backyard area is also AMAZING. So nice to spend time there relaxing, reading, hanging out and enjoying the sun and Sagres breeze. Great restaurants nearby- all walking distance. Tonel Beach is just 5 minutes walking and great place to learn to surf. This was our First time surfing and we could not have had a better experience. All the equipment including boards, wet suits and leashes were great quality. We could not have asked for better instructors. SUPER professional, knowledgeable, fun, attentive and just great people. We always had 3-4 instructors. They were so patient and helpful while in the water- that after just 1 day of lessons we were already standing and catching some wavesss!! We felt safe, confident and they always immediately gave us feedback after every wave which helped so much. Thank you Caio, Bine, Danka and Nelson for such an unforgettable time!! <3 Thank you to everyone at Wavesensations! We will be back soon.

This Surf Camp was the best choice ever. We were there in mid mail so it was off season and we spent half of the week just the 3 of us with the adorable and very motivated surf teacher Nelson and also the challenging (in the morning) and restorative (in the evening) yoga classes with the super friendly yoga teacher Marilena. We felt very comfortable also because of the new and modern designed rooms (Casa Azul) and the nice atmosphere in Sagres. We will come again!!

Tuesday I had a private surf lesson with Nelson. It was far above my expectations. The motivation and passion he has to teach, was just great. Definitely recommended. Looking forward for the next session! Surf on! :)

Great surf school! It was my first time surfing and they made it really enjoyable. We received individual attention from the instructors. Would totally recommend!

We just finished a 5 day surf course and we had a very great time. Zack, the instructor, was super friendly and very encouraging. At the end we were able to catch wave, stand up and do some first turns. Every day the took us to different beaches. Always following the best and most suitable waves for us. I you want to learn surfing and start feeling the pure power of the ocean you should check out wave sensation! We would definitely come back

I took a few surf lessons, and enjoyed it a lot. The instructors, Carlos and Zack, are really nice, give great advice and have always something encouraging to say even to the most inept surfer (that would be me :D ). Anyway, I had a great time and I think that, for once, I learnt a few things.

We had a great group of people join for 2 days. The instructors Zack and Carlos made sure we had good surf to learn, practice and develop for all levels. They did a very good job! It's and all day outing, and can be strenuous to walk up and down to the beach with your boards and bags. Everyone has to take care of their own things.

Wir haben dort an einem Eintägigen Surfkurs teilgenommen. Das junge Team ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Auch die Buchung klappte problemlos. Wir wurden mittels Shuttel zu einer passenden Surflocation gefahren. Schade fand ich, das die Surflehrer wenig mit uns Schülern kommuniziert haben. Da hätte ich mir noch mehr Tipps und Hilfe gewünscht.

Aunque no era la primera vez que contrataba los servicios de Wave sensations y siempre había quedado totalmente satisfecho con sus servicios, lamentablemente este año no ha sido así. Al contrario. Como yo también me dedico a la enseñanza, creo que el propietario de la empresa debería mostrar más interés en supervisar el trabajo de los instructores. En primer lugar, la forma de conducir deja mucho que desear. No respetan los límites de velocidad ni las señales y adelantan en lugares prohibidos. El respeto a las normas debería ser fundamental en presencia de niños y adolescentes. En segundo, los instructores no prestaron la más mínima atención a sus alumnos, pues estaban más entretenidos en jugar entre ellos. Incluso los dos chicos se pusieron a surfear. Su obligación es supervisar el proceso de aprendizaje de quiénes han pagado por ello. Sin embargo, parecían unos adolescentes. En tercero, su actitud era muy fría y distante. Sin interactuar con sus alumnos. Que es el fundamento de cualquier proceso de ensenada-aprendizaje. Realmente muy antipáticos. Aunque viajo a Sagres un par de veces al año, no volveré a repetir con Wave sensations, teniendo en cuenta que la oferta de clases de surf es allí amplisima. Por cierto, el chico encargado de la tienda un auténtico encanto. Amable, educado y eficaz.
