The best hostel in Portugal! Short way to the beach and for the evening you have a nice garden to chill. I looking forward to seeing this place again :)

I had a lovely long stay here through July (yes, a wee bit late with the review, sorry Martijn, Ronja! ) But the point is, the place is really an outstanding hostel. Not only is it perched in a beautiful little location near some of the best beaches in the Algarve, but it's well equipped, smartly organised inside, and very well run by the owners. They work very hard to make sure this place is spotless and ensure your stay is as good as can be. Go check it out!

Awesome place to stay, hosts are really easy going, nicely decorated close to Zavial beach in my opinion nicest beach in the area,really recommend this place for everyone.

Ronja and Martijn were very friendly hosts and always chilled. The hostel was really giod and the prices were fair. From here youve got a lot of activitys and a lot of beaches to serve.

Praia (ha imensas opções), surf (ainda que seja a primeira vez) dicas diárias do Martim, que se preocupa sempre em saber dos nossos gostos para melhor nos aconselhar é só a conversa rolar... Hóspedes em sintonia: partilhar experiências e sentir toda a boa energia que existe.

Relaxing place and well managed by Ronja and Martin. Very clean and neat. Extras like breakfast (you can't miss the Hippy-in-a-bowl), beers or laundry are very cheap. I will definetely come back here the next time in Algarve.

This is a beautiful and very comfortable hostel with kind and helpful owners! I was looking for a calm peaceful place to stay close to nature and it was absolutely perfect for me. I took a 45 minute walk to an incredible beach, and there are many others in the area I would like to check out next time. Thank you Ronja and Martin!

I had a wonderful stay at hostel on the hill. Martijn and Ronja are so nice, helpful and welcoming. I stayed for 4 nights and was lucky to eat Ronja’s cooking on two occasions. Yummy! No worries if you’re a vegan or vegetarian. The downstairs apartment I stayed in is spacious even though it’s a ten bed dorm. It has its own kitchen and bathroom. I recommend anyone to stay at hostel on the hill, solo-travellers in particular since the communal dinners makes it easy to get to know others who are travelling. Are you surfing, hiking or just want to explore Algarve, hostel on the hill is a really great home base for all these activities. Can’t wait to go back there ❤️

Próximo a várias praias e ótimos restaurantes, lugar calmo e muito bonito. Uma ótima opção para passar a noite.

Stayed here for a week last year and i loved it. Owners were super friendly and they know all the (surf)hotspots in the algarve. Met the owner last week in the train in maassluis and he still recognized me by name. Planning to be back next month. Erik

Baza surferów na końcu Europy. Tych, którzy chcą pływać. Luz, tolerancja i bez zadęcia. Prosto, wygodnie i miło. Mili gospodarze i proste reguły pobytu. Niczego nie brakuje.

Absolutly lovely hostel with welcoming owners, who give enough tips whether its about surfing or eating out. Everything is very clean and quiet. Thumbs up!

The owner, Martin, was very nice. The place was charming, but a bit hard to find especially in the dark. Overall it was a great place.

Definitely the best hostel me and my boyfriend could have end up in southern Portugal! Located in a small village surrounded by nature, very close to amazing beaches with beautiful landscapes. Ronja and Martijn made us feel at home since day one and we stayed for a week in one of the private rooms. They're great hosts and they do a very good job to keep the hostel spotless! They know very well the area and are always keen on giving you advices on where to go based on your needs. Also don't miss out on Ronja's cooked dinner, the food was delicious! Definitely recommend it!!

Super netter Empfang. Das Hostel ist sehr einfach, aber funktionell. Getränke, Snacks und Frühstück gibt es zum super günstigsten Preis. Wenn ich wieder in der Nähe bin seid ihr meine erste Wahl, Danke für die Übernachtung bei Euch.

Zeer vriendelijke eigenaren die alles kunnen vertellen over de Algarve, surfspots en wandelroutes. Schone kamers en sanitair op een heerlijk rustige plek. Echt aan te raden.

Cooles, lockeres Hostel. Unkompliziert, toller schneller Mailkontakt auf deutsch. Einfaches wohnen mit supernetten Hosts + netten Gästen. 2 Gemeinschaftsbäder die sauber und ok sind. Frühstück von Martin einfach und lecker als Start in den Tag.....oder selber kochen, alles möglich. Würde wiederkommen um surfen zu lernen ;-) Danke an Ronja & Martin

One of the best hostels you could stay at. The hosts are great people. Good brekkie, delicious dinner and a great location. Big garden with hammocks and sofas. It's also close to the beach. We will totally come back.

Sehr schönes kleines Hostel mit großem Garten und super lieben Gastgebern. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Vriendelijke ontvangst, rustige omgeving dichtbij een aantal prachtige (surf)stranden. Leuk ingericht en een hele grote tuin met leuke zitjes en hangmatten! 2 tweepersoonskamers (1 met tweepersoonsbed en 1 met 2 losse bedden) en 2 dorms (eenpersoons en stapelbedden). De matrassen en beddengoed zijn goed en netjes.
