Worst restaurant I have been in for some time. Sea Bass served up full of bones, John Dory tasteless with some sort of muck served up with it. When you get a waiter who can't be bothered to shave and wearing scruffy jeans and T-shirt you know it's not going to be a good experience. Also doesn't help when he hovers over you waiting to grab your plate before you are finished

Personnel très agréable et accueillant. Cuisine très bonne, avec des prix raisonnable. A la fin avec un digestif offert!

Lovely food and amazing service. Shellfish soup was very tasty, main courses didn't disappoint either. Dessert and coffee were exquisite. We'll definitely come back!

Very friendly staff. My wife and I brought our 7 month old daughter and they accommodated us very well.I believe Elder was our server and he was Amazingly friendly, along with all the other staff. They usually open at 7pm. We got there at 640pm and he had no problem letting us go in to sit. He brought everything right away and made sure we had everything we needed for our baby. Food was great, very clean inside and out, and prices very reasonable. We ate here on our last night and it definately was the best place we ate on our trip. Would recommend for everyone.

I saw the prices have gone up, the chocolate mousse is smaller and we don't get the free port at the end of the meal anymore. But it's still a great place to eat. I've never eaten something there that wasn't very good prepared. Definately, a place to go.

Restaurante horrível!!! Atendimento mau!! Pedi por exemplo um bitoque sem ovo estrelado, vem com ovo. Sobremesas com um ar horrível e o sabor também. Não aconselho nada vir a este restaurante!

Zapamiętamy restauracje głównie z głośno trzaskajacych drzwi do kuchni i braku menu dla napoi. Zupa rybna 3.5 euro przeciętna, wydaje się mrożona i odgrzewana. Zupa warzywna 2 euro - smaczna. Sangria smaczna ale cenę poznamy na rachunku, bo ceny tutaj to mała tajemnica. Zamówiłam monkfish - kawałki ryby w sosie z kupa ryżu i konserwa papryką do ozdoby. Danie było bardzo przeciętne, kawałki ryby gumowate. Drugie danie grille squid czyli grillowane kalmary oceniane na 3/5.

Só comento o q comemos:
1 arroz de tamboril bem servido e super delicioso e 1 bacalhau à lagareiro dose mediana e apesar de bacalhau alto, estava insonso e meio encruado.
Staff muito atencioso mas serviço demasiado lento para apressados que era o meu caso, ia trabalhar e 2 h no restaurante não deu para provar as sobremesas. Ah, mas tivemos entradas, amêijoas à Bulhão Pato saboroso mas acompanhado por salsa em vez de coentros.
Preços acima da média e vinho da casa carote,.
No geral, vale a pena tentar uma experiência gastronómica portuguesa e espero voltar com mais calma para provar outros pratos e as sobremesas.

Great place for rices in Quarteira. Amazing the Octopus rice and Tamboril rice. 39€ a full dinner for 2. Friendly Staff. I recommended it.

A lovey restaurant, couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome by Darios, so friendly. He was so helpful and informative about the food/ wine. The food was amazing, absolutely beautiful Couldn’t fault the evening and would definitely come again. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We are here at 15:30 and the sign says they are open at 15:00 and google says they’re open until 10pm, all day. We have waited until now to eat thinking it would’ve open but no, no one in sight. What a disappointment and no current information is correct. Very disappointing.

Celia is such a amazing host we have been to her restaurant so many times in all the times we have been to Portugal the food is always so fresh and enjoyable would highly recommend . Her staff are so attentive and celiac doesn't look a day over 41years . We always enjoy this place and HIGHLY recommend. Thankyou celia xxx love the West Family

Deveriam retirar do exterior a indicação dos pratos do dia se não servidos ao jantar ou clarificar que apenas se referem a almoços.
As lulas grelhadas foram bem servidas em termos de qualidade mas estavam demasiado grelhadas.
Atendimento bom, algum tempo de espera e preços um pouco elevados.

Une réservation prise le matin même, on nous propose même le choix de la table, super.
Au moment du dîner, aucune réservation à notre nom malgré certaines tables réservées. On nous traite de menteur alors que notre nom est bien noté dans leur agenda! Un patron qui se cache derrière sa femme et celle-ci détestable au possible.
C'est quand les choses se passent mal que l'on voit le niveau du service client et bien il est pitoyable dans cet établissement. Malgré leur erreur ils refusent que l'on s'asseye à une table vide pour patienter, ils nous demandent d'attendre dehors debout comme des chiens. Ils voulaient tout simplement nous mettre à la porte. La patronne n'a pas su trouver de solution et a été extrêmement agressive.
Nous avons été choqués de ce comportement si peu représentatif de la gentillesse portugaise habituelle. La pire expérience de notre vie au Portugal
Passez votre chemin, il y a tellement de meilleurs restaurants autour.

Pesce freschissimo e cucinato benissimo.
Personale attento e gentile e che parla anche inglese (tra i pochi qui a Quarteira!)
Abbiamo preso come antipasto dei calamari fritti con contorno di insalata e salsa acetata e dopo una cataplana di pesce per 2 e del pane. Da bere acqua.
Il conto totale è stato di 46 euro. Molto onesto!
Mentre aspettavamo per entrare abbiamo preso una birra che ci è stata gentilmente offerta dal proprietario.
Consiglio di prenotare, altrimenti c'è parecchio da aspettare.
Ci torneremo certamente!

Well well where do I start! Everything you would expect from a Portuguese restaurant is right here the food is first class i have eaten in numerous fish restaurants in Europe but have never had anything as good as this the staff are friendly and attentive and fantastic value for money they made us feel so welcome I will definitely be back here again

Just a bit off the sea front, Alphonsos is a hidden gem. We had clams, sirloin steak, "Portuguese" steak and traditional John dory with "acorda" and it was all delicious. Its very popular with locals so that has to say something. Book a table or you might not get in!

So rude , my grandma and I were looking forward to dinning here as we are leaving tomorrow to go home and the waiter told us to rudely go away and slammed the door in our faces , I’ve never experienced such a behaviour and at my time in Portugal and was extremely disappointed. If that’s how they treat customers at the door I don’t want to encounter how they treat them at the restaurant

i did not like the food. The sea bass tasted like nothing and the staff were so unpolite. I asked to try the wine before buying one bottle, but he said that wouldn't be possible! He gave me a slip afterwards pretending that was a joke! It wasn't actually. There are so many more options around. Try to skip this one.

Exellent Restaurant avec une gérante et des serveurs extrêmement sympathiques pour des touristes Français que nous sommes.Avons été déçus des restaurants sur Carvoeiro où tout est Britannique et sans grande qualité.par contre chez eux c est extrêmement goûteux et en plus ils parlent notre langue.A recommander car les prix sont attrayants

By far THE BEST restaurant around! We have been 3 times so far in our week stay here. EVERYTHING is spectacular, food, customer service, good choice of alcohol and they only serve potroguise beer! What more could you want? Highly recommended!

In spite of not being on the promenade it is well known and attended by local people and tourists. Warm welcoming. Tables outside and inside. Good octopus salad and bacalau. Excellent house white wine for a few euros.
