Absolutely Fabulous! Just finnished Camino de Santiago, and headed south to Lagos, Portugal to rest my feet. This is the BEST hostel I have experienced in over 32 days of travel, using a different place every night on my way through Spain. Don't pass this one up for serenity, namaste.

Good experience . I love the music playing in the all hostel and the relax mood in this place. I ve been here for short Time but it was relaxing for me.

The best hostel I've stayed at! This place is in a great location, had the friendliest staff and is beautifully decorated. Lovely and clean rooms, shared spaces (inclduing an amazing rooftop terrace) and kitchen facilities. Would definitely stay here again!

Don’t waste your time looking any further for a hostel in Lagos, THIS IS THE BEST ONE! ....and DOG FRIENDLY! It’s a really clean and cosy hostel, with a lovely terrace and roof terrace. The staff are friendly and helpful. My dog was very welcomed here by staff and guests. Seems to be a nice mix of respectful and social travellers staying here. The location is great, right in the centre. The only downside to this is that the street outside is noisy at night. However, I had ear plugs and had no problem sleeping. The private room I had was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Shared showers were always clean and I didn’t have to wait for them to become free. Kitchen had all facilities you could need. Plus free fruit and coffee. Check in is strictly after 14:00. You can leave bags before, but no chance of check-in. If coming by car, the streets are narrow, but there is space to quickly unload the car, and free parking is just a 5 minute walk away.

It`s a place you can call home. I translate it in one song " Home " from Edward Sharpe (Alexander) and the magnetic zeros (With the gourgeous Jade).a place where you can be blessed with the presence of Love. Enjoy the experience ;-)

Relaxed and cosy hostel. Many places to chill with an especially great rooftop. They offer yoga lessons in the morning and you always hear chilly music in the background. Well located and nice staff

The best hostel I ever stayed in, and I've been all around Europe. The whole place is relaxed and extremely friendly, with a lot of rich atmosphere. Free fruit, cheap pastel de nata (fresh every morning) and amazing and helpful owners make thise place a safe haven to explore the south of Portugal and the beautiful city of Lagos. Definitely recommend!

Das beste Hostel in dem ich je war! Hab für 2 Nächte gebucht, bin eine Woche geblieben und kann es nur wärmstens empfehlen! Die Atmosphäre is großartig, fühlt sich nicht an wie ein Hostel sondern wie ein Zuhause! Das Hostel ist mit so viel Liebe gestaltet, hier kann man sich einfach nur rundum wohl fühlen! Vielen Dank Uwe & Claudia - ich werde definitiv wieder kommen! <3

We were in the double room on the ground floor. The room was well ventilated and had the softest bed ever. The bathrooms were squeaky clean and the common kitchen makes cooking and eating easy. Anastasia at the reception is kind and helpful. The only issue is that the check in is at 4 which is very late. We travel quite a bit but have never seen a check in beyond 3 at the max. The hostel is at a central location and we would definitely stay there again, when we visit Lagos

The most cosy hostel, I've ever been to. Stuff is nice and friendly, there are free oranges on the table, and 'honesty' system for cakes - take, put your name on the list, pay later on the check out. There's an option to have yoga on the rooftop, it's super relaxing and enjoyable.

Очень атмосферный и классный хостел. Есть терасса на крыше, хорошая кухня с множеством посуды, приправ, масел и т.д. вечером повсюду свечи....душевней хостела не встречала. Есть много всего бесплатного, можно брать шляпы, зонты, игры на пляж, бесплатные апельсины, вечером аперетивы .Очень милые владельцы, помогают, подсказывают, всегда очень любезны.

Staff are very friendly. The hostel is in a great location in he middle of the town and close to the beach. There is free coffee throughout the day and free oranges you can also make juice with. There are lots of toilets/bathrooms and also lots of rooms with comfortable chairs and sofas to relax on. The hostel is very clean. There is a nice atmosphere and lots of candles and scent are lit at night. There is lots of noise at night from outside - usually the pub crawl from other hostels - but this is not the hostel's fault. There is no free breakfast but you can buy pastel de nata for 1 euro (although it's not obvious which ones are old and which ones are fresh) and there are the free oranges. The extras are a bit expensive (laundry is 5 euros, snacks) but the honesty bar is reasonably priced. There is also rooftop yoga but it costs 8 euros and you need comfortable pants!

Best hostel I’ve ever been to! Lots of thoughts are put even into the smallest details (tea lights on the staircase:)). Amazing roof terrace and nicely decorated rooms. Also super clean. You immediately know the owners are dedicated to make you feel at home.

Hostal mu chulo en lagos...calidad precio genial, la única pega es q x el agua de la ducha salía muy fría. Y después de un día largo y de lluvia...apetece Ia al menos q saliera tibia. Me encantó que aceptaran perro.

Social hostel but not rowdy, great for solo travellers. The owner and staff treat you like family. I really enjoyed making meals with the free spices and oils they provided in the kitchen! Adorable decor and amazing vibe. Would stay here again in a heartbeat x

I don’t even know where to start. Lagos is a beautiful city in every aspect, but once you enter Olive Hostel, it all changes. This narrow entrance, uniquely decorated, is the path to the wonders this house has to offer. Olive hostel provides both dorms and rooms, for an excellent price regarding all they have to offer. The vast and fully equipped kitchen is the utopia for the cook maniacs, heated up by a typical Portuguese oven. The garden, a cozy place, ideal for charring your travel experiences with both the other guests and the owner, a traveling addicted who has stories to tell about every circumstance of life. This sterling place not only is highly recommended for its style, friendliness, uniqueness and many other positive aspects, but also for its brilliant location, only 2 minutes away from the heart of the night life or any other necessity such as groceries or transport. I congratulate the owners on their outstanding job and will definitely come back again.
