PARAISO confermate le buone recensioni Appena fuori dal centro, ma vicinissimo al nostro alloggio (zona Praia Dona Ana), si trova il ristorante, un po’ defilato rispetto alla strada. Il simpatico proprietario-chef (è colui che si occupa del flambé) ci accoglie e ci sediamo all’esterno, più gradevole ma meno illuminato della sala interna; alla fine faceva quasi freschetto per il tipico vento dell’Algarve di fine serata agostana. La zuppa di legumi molto buona e i primi scelti erano tutti impiattati in maniera eccellente; probabilmente conviene non eccedere con i piatti troppo elaborati e inframezzare con qualcosa alla griglia. Abbiamo preso il filetto di pesce flambé in succo di arancia (27,5€ per 2 persone), tonno e orata grigliata, camarao a chef (gamberi con riso al centro); tutto molto buono. Il riso alla pescatora (arroz de marisco) è buono ma molto brodoso (viene servito in un pentolino), i gamberi al curry sono piccanti (anch’essi serviti con riso). Dolci abbondanti (quello indicato su vecchie recensioni non lo fanno più). I piatti sono tutti con contorno di verdure o di riso: conto 19€ a persona onestissimo. Se vi piace la cucina raffinata e non volete spendere troppo, sicuramente il Paraiso vale la visita!

Arriviamo io e il mio moroso di venerdì sera alle 21.50 e il proprietario ci invita ad uscire perché la cucina era già chiusa nonostante nel locale ci fossero dei ragazzi che stavano ancora cenando.

Excellent food. Pepper steak is the best my 65 year old father has ever had. Cod fish also very well done. Cantaplana was delicious. The waiter we had was amazing. They also make certain meals on a cart and you can watch them prepare your meal, which adds to the ambiance.

Comida e simpatia excelentes.

We stay in Lagos every May and September and ensure that we visit Paraiso twice each time we go. It's tucked away behind a row of bars and restaurants and is reached walking up the incline alongside Onda Norte, a very well known restaurant in the Praia d'anna area. Daniel, the owner, does the most superb flambes. Steaks, sole and deserts are all cooked at the table giving the most superb aromas. The rest of the menu, all good Portuguese dishes, are all worth a try. My favourite being Pork and Clams. Good size portions at a reasonable price, I recommend here it's our favourite Lagos restaurant. Just been again and it's even better with a bigger choice on the menu. Daniel and family serving fantastic Portuguese fair at very reasonable prices. Has been my wife and I's favourite restaurant in Lagos for many years and never had a bad meal.

Good service and terrific food. Flambe sole delicious. Have eaten here twice so far and will return once more before we leave. I will be ordering flambé steak! So, 3rd visit in two weeks...didn't have the steak but the cataplana which delicious. Previous reviews who moan about not getting a table when just turning up, make a reservation ffs! It's not rocket science. Thank you to all staff at Paraiso for some delicious food.

Ambiente agradável e atendimento simpático! A comida estava ótima e o serviço foi super eficiente. No meio de tanta confusão no mês de Agosto nesta cidade pode-se dizer que este lugar é mesmo um Paraíso, onde é possível obter uma refeição sem ter de esperar em filas.

They told us they didn't have any free tables, even though there were a lot of empty ones. I don't know if they were reserved or not, but they were quite rude.

Really enjoyed this restaurant. My tuna was perfectly cooked and the biggest tuna steak I've ever had, all the veg was really tasty too. The staff we're amazing. I have problems walking and they offered to drive us back to our hotel around the corner. It's rare to meet people so genuinely nice. We really appreciate it. The picture I've attached is of someone else's steak, which was being cooked at their table just behind us. It looked delicious.
