A really great hotel overlooking the estuary and Spain. Classical historic architecture brought bang up to date with modern opulence. Good restaurant for evening meal and the breakfast is superb. Also handy for local bars and restaurants.

Luxurious surroundings and discrete but attentive staff make this a fantastic place to stay. Classical design with antiques and art enhance the features of this old and impressive building.

Amazing stay at the Grand House, loved the classic and timeless decor and design. Staff were extremely helpful and kind who genuinely wanted us to have the best weekend possible! Top location too with a beautiful view of the harbor and promenade just across the road.

The staff were extremely professional and friendly. The hotel is beautiful, full of character and has been lovingly renovated. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel is also very dog friendly which is great for us as we were visiting with our small jack russell.

Lovely atmosphere and the most friendly staff — our dinner at the Grand Salon & stay at the hotel truly made for a magical experience. And I love how pet friendly they are!! Definitely recommend!

It is all in the small details, you just need an eye to discover them. The staff is really friendly from the heart and not because they have to be friendly, housekeeping very attentive, the location if you have the view on the river is wawww!! Breakfast can be adjusted to your wishes or needs. The decor is unique including the music! For us a new and unique experience!

Very enjoyable food great and the staff were exceptional. Definitely recommend to our friends and family and we will make every effort to return.The beach house is amazing and must great in the summer.I must say the decor is unbelievable and a credit to the designers.

So conheco a fachada deste Monumento Neo antes conhecido por Hotel Guadiana e agora pseudo q coisa Casa grande. Arquitetura do inicio sec. XX . Tinha antes das obras de restauro uma cadeira na varanda. Acreditavam que o Marques fivava ali instalado e portanto atribuiam esta obra ao sec. XVIII do tempo da fundacao da cidade. Serve de pano de fundo a incontaveis fotos.

Service unsatisfactory. The breakfast was at a hostel level and a joke! Not even choices of bred available. A la Carte it was possible to order porridge, eggs and waffles. They did not bring the eggs and waffles were not available. Extremely expensive! No service!
No parking service. The room was beautiful and elegant, but it is all!

Quartos com deficiente isolamento de luz da rua e de som. Desconfortável para descansar e dormir devido a estes problemas. Bom serviço no geral mas uma decoração pretensiosa com pormenores nos quartos muito pouco práticos e pouco user friendly. Muita má relação qualidade geral preço .

Our stay was a birthday celebration and a better choice could not have been made. Fabulous hotel, extremely caring and welcoming staff who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a happy and memorable occasion.
