Great place to stay and learn how to kitesurf. We had two amazing instructors who taught us to kite in less than a week. The lodge is super, the staff super friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone who would like to learn to kite and have an amazing time overall

Good place to learn how to kite! Top vakantie gehad met 2 vrienden begin oktober, het weer was ook elke dag goed op eentje na, toen zijn we wezen golfsufen. Rest van de week kite lessen gehad, deze zijn ons goed bevallen met duidelijke en enthousiaste instructies! Verblijf was ook goed met elke dag een ontbijt. Eind van de week gewoon zelf heen en weer kunnen kite, dus beter kon niet ! Het is verder een rustige omgeving, we hadden een auto gehuurd en gingen soms avonds nog uit eten of drankje doen. En anders kookten we zelf wat.

Great place! Deze plek is echt een aanrader! Wij zijn er aan het einde van het seizoen geweest waardoor het net iets rustiger was in de Lodge en de lagune. De hele crew van The Kitesurf Lodge heeft ons echt aangenaam verrast. Hele relaxte instructeurs met goede tips en lessen! Het nieuwste materiaal en een perfecte plek om te leren kiten, vooral omdat het in een lagune is en je dus geen golven hebt! Grote kans dat we volgend jaar terugkomen!

Staying at The Kitesurf Lodge was an incredible holiday, the staff makes you feel at home and part of the family! The Lodge is just a 2 min walk away from the ocean and beautiful lagoon, perfect for bike rides and long walks, which I enjoyed very much! Being in quiet nature, I really got the chance to recharge my battery. They also offer trips to Berlenga Island, SUP tours, wakeboarding surfing and the owners invite you in the evening to join them for dinners, they know the best spots for amazing food! The weekly BBQ, which includes loads of veggies, fish, salads, meat, smores and delicious mojito’s served with a big smile, was a highlight during my stay! I highly recommend anyone interested in kitesurfing, nature and making new friends to stay at the Lodge, thanks guys!

I can happily recommend the Lodge:) from friendly and helpful staff to a great, clean house with a pool and bar you will experience high quality kite surfing lessons with new equipment and fun coaches. Due to the lagoon you have flat water which is great for beginners. On windless days they always try to offer an alternative program, eg. biking or surfing as exchange for your kite lessons missed due to no wind. We had a great time with the other guests at the house as well. Be aware however that the lodge is located rather remotely and there is almost no public transportation. However, chilling out with the other guests or going to the beach we didn’t need transportation. Also read the infos on the website carefully. The calculation of package prices and refunds might be confusing and we were a little bit surprised at the end. One thing in addition, the mattresses might need a change in some time. Other than that we were really happy to start our kiting fun at the Lodge. Thus, the 5 stars!

Maurice, Kai, Tess and the instructor team have done an amazing job with the Kite Lodge. The place is always clean, breakfast is great, and the instructor's energy really make the experience. All their equipment is new too which makes a big difference. The lagoon is great to learn and having rented as well the team assigns a "watcher" to make sure you're doing ok. Overall a fantastic place to progress and get comfortable. As always check wind conditions. Schedules are sent over WhatsApp in the evening for the next day so you always know when to be ready. The lodge bar and pool is also great! Probably best to get there via Car Rental or Bus from Lisbon. Just make sure to bring cash as there are no ATMs in the village. (But you can get cash a 20 min drive away at a supermarket).

The kitesurf lodge is great - good vibes, great staff and the perfect spot for kitesurfing! The teachers were super professional and competent. Definitely want to go back again!

Awesome place! The staff is super friendly and you immediately feel welcome. Everyone is very helpful. The lagoon has smooth water and the instructors were very competent and motivated. Unfortunately there was not much wind, but there were a lot of nice alternatives to do during the day. The breakfast was also delicious with something special every day. I would definitely come back here again. It was a fantastic week!

I had a wonderful time at the Kitesurf lodge! The staff was great and I really liked the atmosphere. I would really recommend this place, especially if you are looking for kitesurf lessons!

I cannot recommend this place. But if you decide to book: - be aware that the place is very remote and you need a car (no public transport) - check the wind yourself before you book if possible (because they will promise you the moon no matter the conditions) - read the refund policies carefully!!!! Our stay was in the end ok due to the awesome group of volunteers, instructors and the other guests. But the owners are neither customer-oriented nor upfront. One example: while other kitesurf schools didn't do lessons because there was literally no wind, they told us that they can do lessons because they have better equipment for beginners and let us compare the weight of the kites: true yes it is a lighter/better kite for beginners, but they forgot to mention that it will sink when it drops into the water (because it's a snowkite). So if you have more than 2 hours experience it's not for you.... (- like the others said, we obviously couldn't do lessons on these days ). And to make it worse they will charge you for everything else disproportionately (example: they charged me one full kitesurf lesson for just renting a surfboard (incl. wetsuit)).

Awesome place to learn how to kiten! Close to the lagoon .... still water, no waves, quiet!! The teachers are so great !!! The villa is also a nice place with new rooms where you can easily make contact with the others and the crew. In the evening you can enjoy a drink together at the bar or at a beach bar in baléal. Or share a car and on to Lisbon or Obidos .. The crew is wonderfully relaxed !! Thanks Kaj, Tess and Chris for giving us an awesome time!!

It is one of my favorite place of Portugal. In front of kitesurf and surf spot. Nice house, good ambient, best people. :)))

The lodge is a beautifull house, with a spacious garden. The rooms are new and very clean. The kitesurf spot is just down the hill. Very friendly and competent staff. Also Just down the road are a few good local bars and restaurants which offer views over the Lagoon and the kitesurfers!

The Obidos Lagoon is for me one of the best spots in Europe. You can do kitesurf, surf and paddle surf in the same spot and food, people, weather and landscape is amazing!! Defenetly a great place to recommend for your sportive holidays.
