Absolute indecency in their office in Lisbon- being 'asleep' on the phone and 'having a problem, not interpreting my own requests right', would turn out way more expensive than expected and 'your plans are bad and worse. Would not recommend EDIT: just seen this response. This 2 AM story is not true. I recall having a call with you at 11AM, whereas i found out about your car rental an hour before. The silent extra expenses and attitude you put up to me was simply not OK for a business owner that provides services. It might be that your colleagues are different in personality, yet did not have a pleasant experience with you, sir.

Friendly and helpful stuff, cute little Panda was the car (quite cheap), and the best was that they let us not to secure the rent with credit card but with cash :) We forgot to fill up the tank when we returned the car. They were understanding, didn't say a bad word and charged us a reasonable price. Thank you very much!!

my mom came to visit me for vacations in may 2018 and we rented a car. Obviously the rental was for just on weekend. Then in November 2018 (6 months later) my mom told me she received a charged in her credit card from GoodRent and that didn't make sense at all... I sent 3 e-mails, they only answered the second mail and did not helped me at all. Maybe if I write this here you will take some action???? Just don't rent any car from them, especially if you are doing an Erasmus and/or you are not from Europe. Escrevi em inglês só para as outras pessoas perceberem o vosso péssimo atendimento ao cliente. Ainda fico a espera duma solução ao meu problema.

without a credit card Excellent car rental. It was the only place where I can rent a car without a credit card. I took the SMART with an automatic transmission (It turned out that this is the best car for a tourist) Very nice staff. The Goodrent just saved my vacation.

Whey didn’t back the money! I’ve rent the car for one day. When I was taking car back everything was ok. They blocked 450 euro on my credit card. It’s was on 27.09 but it haven’t unblocked still. Whey gave me the number of authorization but my bank hasn’t received that still. And I’m not sure it’ll be back. I sent them e - mail asking about check the information but they just told me: “we canceled your money, call to your bank” I think it’s not the true.

Very disappointed with their customer service. My sister and I recently rented two vehicles for a day trip while in Lisbon. One of our vehicle's had a serious engine issue. We were left waiting for over two hours for a tow truck, and then another two hours for a taxi to drive us to another site 45 minutes out of the way to pick up a different vehicle. We were told management would contact us to offer some type of price adjustment/refund for our terrible experience. I have sinced reached out multiple times and have not been contacted by anyone. Response: No fuel was put in this vehicle. The engine issue occurred approximately 80km after leaving the your facility.

After two months, I've been sending emails and calling asking what happened with the deposit money, but no answer and no money. The personal was friendly, but does not help when I want to know why I don't get the rest of the money back. And it is not that much for the rest of the deposit money as the fact that they do not bother answering me.

Teenagers Warning

The staff here is absolutely helpful and nice. It is in the central part of Lisbon so book here if you need a car from the center. No queue and long lines. I couldn't have the zero responsibility insurance so we checked the car together to agree on previous scratches etc. My trip from Lisbon to Lagos was perfect. The car was perfect. I had no problems when I returned the car. Fee was cheap. I had a very positive experience.

We took car from them 4 or 5 times and appreciated the service, however, after 7 months they simply charged us money without any solid explanation and now they had a very unpolite attitude. Evenmore, they could not provide us with any valid documents. The reason was speeding ticket but it brings doubts as this was issued 7 months after the ride.

Fair price (approx € 45 / day, FIAT Panda) hassle-free, friendly employees, good location (Bairro Alto) if you want to rent a car for a day trip without wanting to go the airport or somewhere further out the city to pick up your ride.

Rented a Fiat Panda for 24H, went to Sintra,Cabo de Roca and along the coste back to Lisbon and a little night drive so aprox 120km. PLUS: -Cheap -Good mechanical order. -Clean and economic car, spent 15€ on petrol for 120km -NO "rented car" stikers on it, witch is great! -good location! -Very nice staff! Minus: - Tank was 1/2 full, so you don't really know how much to put in at return, guess I returned it with more fuel than needed. Recomend in the future the Full to Full methode... Good job Guys, will rent again!!!

Rented a car from here for 3 days. Quick and pleasant to rent. The car worked good, with no problems. Great value for money. We were able to rent without a credit card. Upon return of the car, we received our money back, minus some highway charges, but that is to be expected. Overall a great experience, and highly recommended!

Wszystko ok. Samochód podstawili w umówione miejsce, paliwa była 1/4 tyle zaznaczyli w umowie i tyle oddaliśmy. Karta kredytowa nie byla konieczna, wystarczyła kaucja, która bez problemu zwrócili.szczegolowo zaznaczyli zadrapania na protokole i przy zdaniu też sprawdzali czy niczego nie przybyło. Polecamy

It was the least complicated car rent so far. Everything was done correctly. The route we were planning to do was after the discussion with the staff changed from too much intense to a little less intense with perfect timing. Definitely will take the same rent a car if I rent in Lisbon again!

Over the past 7 months since renting a car here, I've been continually charged on my credit card for various amounts despite leaving the vehicle in perfect condition and paying all toll tickets during our trip. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for renting a car.

J'ai été à Lisbonne il y a 2 ans environ et aujourd hui j'ai un prélèvement du 24 janvier chez Goodrent...????!!!!! Alors que je suis en France. A mon avis ils ont gardé mes numéro et ils s'en sont servi 2 ans après mon retour... Belle arnaque...opposition sur mon compte aujourd'hui. ..

Everything went quite well until we returned the car. They charged us money for scratches we didn't commit and tried to rip us off. The guy pretended to be kind and gave us a discount so we didn't have to pay the whole fee but still too much compared to what seemingly happened.

Acho que a experiência poderia ter sido melhor. Escolhi esta empresa pro estar bem avaliada e andei bastante até ela, mesmo passando ao lado da concorrente AVIS. Não fiz a reserva pelo web site (16/11/2017), e no balcão, o Sr. João deu o preço de 45 euros a Diária. Pagamos e o carro estava com 4/5 de tanque de combustível. O Sr. João informou que ele deveria ser entregue com a mesma quantidade de combustível no dia seguinte (??) Não sei como é hábito em Portugal, mas no Brasil, sempre pegamos carros em locadoras com tanque cheio e devolvemos com tanque cheio, isto é mais cômodo para os clientes e seguro para a locadora. Para o Sr. João, se eu devolvesse o carro com o tanque cheio (o que quase ocorreu) eles não reembolsam, claro, a vantagem é sempre do estabelecimento e a preocupação é sempre toda sua, cliente. Agora vem o melhor. Na devolução do veículo eu questionei o valor de 45 Euros como diária, e o Sr. João disse que este era o valor e que o valor do balcão era 5% acima do valor do site. PARA A SURPRESA DELE, ele não sabia que o carro pela internet custava 35 Euros e culpou os donos da Good Rent Car - Rui e Vera- por não divulgar para ele (WTF??) as promoções ou valores do Site. Resultado final, Aluguei o Punto por 45, e ainda coloquei 50 Euros de combustível. O carro voltou melhor do que saiu, e eu voltei pior do que cheguei.

We booked cars there dozen times. Every time it's a good experience. I like their cars (especially beautiful smarts ❤️) and nice service. Through 3+ years we do not have any problems with Good Rent at all . They always very helpful, can make a discount, upgrade a car with no charge, help to resolve issues with parking penalty (oops, be careful at Troia). I saw some bad reviews about charging hell-know-why, but it's just road with tolls you've pass. Some roads have tickets and you pay them right away, some roads just scan car's plate and send bill afterwards. You can avoid them by choosing google map option 'avoid tolls'.

Paid 245 euros for 7 days of renting Fiat Punto. Car was in a good condition. Child seat was given for free. They have possibility to rent a car only with debit card (and that was crucial for me). Would recommend.

We chose this because of the good reviews, and we weren't deceived. They upgraded our car at no cost because we rented it for six days and they preferred to lend us a car with less mileage. They don't charge for a second driver and for unneeded insurances, and they let us return the car on Sunday, with no extra costs, near the airport (with a free lift to the airport included). Best rent-a-car experience I've ever had.

Après plusieurs mois d'échange de mails, litige toujours pas réglé. L'agence ne veut pas nous fournir les factures des soit disants travaux, a envoyé un devis comme justificatif, mais dès que l'on demande les factures de travaux, on nous indique que non pas question. Vraiment de l'arnaque complète. Je pense y mettre dessus La policia de Segurança Publica de Lisboa ou le centro de arbitragem de conflitos de consumo de Lisboa !!! En faisant des recherches, je m'aperçois que des avis sont mis par le gérant VERA... Une fois de plus avis ne correspondant pas à la réalité ! compte bancaire débité de 2 x 420.00€ 60 jours après le retour de ma location ! J'essaie d'obtenir par téléphone des infos, des pièces justificatives, mais personne ne parle français (alors que l'un des loueur le parle très bien). En anglais on me demande d'envoyer un mail, ce que j'ai fait par 3 fois. Toujours pas de réponse à ce jour. Très mauvaise expérience. Je ne recommande certainement pas cette agence ! Faites absolument un état des lieux de restitution, en cas de litige il vous sera demandé

Overall expeditious but cheaper service. Facts: 1. They were not strict on marking vehicle damage upfront and didn't have a full CDW option. Advice: Take your own photos and send it to them prior to the rental begin time; 2. They didn't return the manual credit card charge hold at the end of rental as they promised upfront on the grounds of eventual charges - tolls, unverified vehicle damage, etc. Advice: Make absolutely clear upfront you will demand it; 3. They didn't reply to customer service inquiry. Advice: Don't rely in it.

Be careful when you select the pick up hour because later than 18:00 is penalized with 30eur. We returned the car at 19:00 and they charged 30eur extra, even when the garage was still open. I asked if could be refund but nobody has answered. I strongly recomend to avoid this car rental.

Please be careful if you rent a car from this company. We needed car for 3 days but we anyway paid 4 days as we wanted to return car third day in the afternoon (we also took car in the afternoon at 2Pm) which means that we have paid one day car for nothing as we didnt use it. When we came to the office to return car there was no one except boy who works as car washer who speaks poor english. They blocked money on my credit card and didn't want to give me any proof that money will be unblocked as we have returned car in perfect condition. We lost two hours trying to resolve problem with boy who washes car and we couldn't do anything but go and believe that money will be unblocked. Unpleasant surprise comes two days later when they unauthorised charge my credit car for using highway 3 times more than we acctualy spent. We were waiting for one week explination what for they charged us, and when we finally got ''bill'' - paper printed by rent a car - there was additional ''service'' cost which they charged us for each highway paid toll, 2 euros per transaction. You can imagine how cheated we felt knowing that we had to pay toll 0.45 euros and 2 euros more for their service which was not never mentioned in contract neither to us when we rented car. I still didn't get any confirmation that they are not anymore authorised to take money from my credit card. There is plenty of renta car agencies, please avoid this one.

I have rented car for 4 days. They blocked 420 euros deposit from my credit card and when I've returned car to the office there was only guy who washes cars and he was not able to unblock my money or to give me any confirmation my money will be unblocked. The owners explanation is that they don't have receipt about blocking money from my card and that the girl who works for them made mistake. 4 days ago they told me they will send me confirmation about unblocking my 420 euros but I haven't still got it. My money is still blocked although I have returned car in perfect condition. And today they took from my credit card 9.45 euros, probably for toll pay and we had only twice used road with toll pay from 1 euro! And I am cheated, i have never have them autorización to take money from my card except for 420 eur deposit! Terrible service, don't use it if you don't want to be cheated!

Just avoid and use a reputable rental company like Europcar. Same prices, better service. Why this service has 4.5 stars is beyond me. Awful experience, would not recommend to anyone. Three days ago I tried to rent a car. The webpage is a bit awful and I see no mention of range limits per day, so I email support about it. A day later I receive an email saying that the car type isn't available, but another car type is. I say any car is good if it's the same price, and inquire about the daily range limits again. Goodrent emails back saying they've changed my reservation to another car type. No comment on the daily range limit. I ask again, with no reply. That's three times asking a simple question that should be mentioned everywhere on the website. At this point my trust in this company is fading fast, and I decide to take my money elsewhere. I email the company and ask them to cancel my reservation and refund my money. Goodrent says refunds are impossible. This happens to be against every European Consumer guideline, not to mention against every good mannered car rental company's guidelines. Also, nowhere on Goodrent's site does it mention anything about ridiculous cancellation practices. Today, three days later of initial reservation, I call the company to ask if they could cancel. Some guy answers and tells me they will cancel my reservation. Goodrent hasn't cancelled my reservation at the time of this writing. I probably won't get my money back, but I'm glad it's only one day's rental price. I shudder to think what would happen if they took a deposit or accused me of damaging one of their cars. Lousy web page, unclear terms&conditions. No mention of KM limits on web page or rental process. Cancellation terms unclear. Email service horrible and slow. Phone service unreliable. Save your time and headaches.

This is one of the car rental companies in Lisbon you can be sure it's going to provide excellent services at good prices. We ( me and my girlfriend) rented a car for 5 days, they gave us a brand new fiat punto (2000 km only) for a very decent price. The process of actually renting the car was easy (it took max 20 minutes), the people there were helpful. When we left the car at their office, they provided free transport to the airport. Totally recommending this company for anyone renting a car in Lisbon!

Overall OK company, but be careful when taking the car they mark very few defects like scratches from previous renters. Look carefully yourself all the car body and ask them to mark everything you will find. Mark even scratches on wheel disks or you will pay for repair (they will block 1200 euro as deposit from your card).
