It was definitely the best restaurant to experience the local produce from portugal. The wine pairing is great to discover Portuguese wine. Favorite restaurant in an amazing small boutique hotel. Definitely coming back to try the new season menu.

It feels slightly gauche leaving a review on Google Maps about this experience, when I feel it would be more appropriate to send a hand written letter of thanks.
This is the best shared dinner you will ever be invited to: gracious and warm hosts; perfectly pitched and paced series of seasonal dishes with a firm eye both on both place and pleasure; expertly judged wine pairings, and all with passion clearly at the fore. I’m not the most outgoing person but I established a ready rapport with those sitting next to me at the table. It was almost like the guest list had been vetted (it hadn’t).
Oh, and last but not least, the devastatingly handsome head chef is a grace note on the experience, rather than (too much of) a distraction...

For anyone who’s thinking of attending this... I am seriously not exaggerating when I say, this was truly the best dinner I had in my whole life. This was the most unique dinner experience, the loveliest most calming, classiest atmosphere I have ever experienced. Surrounded by all those interesting people from all over the world, these beautiful extremely well knowledged chefs, whom are all adorable and real passionate artists. No words on earth can describe the taste of the individual selected dishes. The flavour of each ingredient is an experience. The presentation of each course is out of this world. I was thinking of not going but my partner convinced me to go, I am so thankful that I was able to experience something like this and share my appreciation with these wonderful human beings. This is truly something and will always stick to my mind when thinking of Lisbon. Thank you.

#ceiatable.

5 estrelas é pouco. Merece 10 estrelas

An extremely beautiful and tranquil hotel. It is so intimate and casual and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and perfectly minimal with a luxurious bathroom. We especially loved the complimentary breakfast that was prepared for us. It felt like we had our own private chef. We had our two small children with us so we could never totally relax but the staff were very thoughtful and accommodating. The kids felt very welcome but it would be a magical place to go for a couples retreat. More on the pricey side but it felt exclusive, casual, and totally worth it. Will definitely try to stay there on our next visit to Lisbon.

The restaurant is an experience. Great food. Wonderfull exciting wines. The rest is up to you. Taking pictures will take away so much of the experience.
I feel sorry that I will not be able to exoerience this more, because I live in another country.
Devine is coming close, sublime is an understatement. Just go there if you like food and talk about it.

This closed door restaurant is a unique experience. This is not appropriate for unsocial guests as there are max 14 guests at the table. You must be on time as the doors close. It is a very intimate experience like you are welcomed into someone's home. Our hosts was soft spoken, knowledgeable about the fantastic local wines paired with each dish, and told a story throughout the dinner. All dishes were exquisite small plates, with local fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation, delivered by the chefs simultaneously. The flow of the courses was perfect and the vibe in the gorgeous space was relaxed, elegant and subdued. It helps to have good dinner conversationalist.

The moment you enter Ceia your majestic evening begins. You are greeted by the Sommelier, Mário, with a welcome drink, which was a very lovely sparkling Rose. You are then guided into a beautiful courtyard garden, where Chef Pedro will introduce himself and serve you an amuse bouche.
Next, you will head back inside to your seat at a single table, which seats 14 strangers from all ends of the world together. This truly made for a unique experience, with conversations, laughs, smiles and many emotions shared by all together.
The wine pairing is curated by Mário to support, enhance but never dominate the flavours of each of Chef Pedro's incredible 14 dishes he presented us. Each wine and each dish came with a story.
Ceia will evoke emotions and play with all your senses by it's demonstration of pure passion, love, joy and commitment to it's guests pleasure.
I highly recommend booking your experience, as it truly deserves at a minimum a single Michelin Star, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was awarded two.
If you have managed to read through all this I would like to add one last comment, which to me puts Ceia in a whole other class of restaurants alone. I was bitten by a bug on my face and neck at the beginning of the night. My wife noticed that I had a bad reaction to the bite, which she was extremely worried about, and asked the Chef for help. Moments later came the Manager with an antihistamine and also tiger balm. In the middle of preparing a tasting menu for 14 people they stopped what they were doing and raced to my assistance.
Thank you Chef Pedro and all the staff at Ceia for giving my wife and I a truly unforgettable experience!

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Ceia on the last evening of our stay in Portugal and it was the perfect way to end our trip. The food was truly special and not one dish missed the mark. The passion behind the cooking and the attention to detail in presentation did not go unnoticed. Don't skip on the wine pairing with your meal, it is a great opportunity to learn more about Portuguese wines. We have been lucky to dine at many highly rated restaurants around the world, and Ceia is definitely in both of our top 3, and it surpassed the 2 Michelin starred establishment we visited while in Lisbon. If you're looking for a unique and memorable dining experience Ceia is a must visit.

After reading a lot about Ceia in the Portuguese press and "stalking" their IG account with regular drool inducing photos, I must say that my expectations for dining here were high. Yet, Chef Pedro Pena Bastos and his lovely team managed to go beyond what I had in mind. I LOVE that you get to dine around the same table with strangers and, even more so, that there are no adaptations in the menu. You come in, you sit down and you gotta truste the Chef - that straightforward.. and it works oh-so-well!
There were many different tastings across the evening and every single one was outstanding. Not only flavors wise, but also conceptually. You feel there's much love for Portuguese ingredients that goes in all of their work, yet without turning your back to influences from the rest of the world. Every dish is presented with care, very pleasing when it comes to aesthetics (regarding the arrangement of the ingredients themselves and also the choice of plates and table accessories), but equally remarkable when it comes to the actual flavors, textures and aromas of the food. It's well worth taking your time to let your eyes "eat" before you actually dig.
If the food was as great as expected, the selection of wines by Sommelier Mário Marques was impressive. All Portuguese, all quite specific and matching the food choices impeccably.
Yet, food and drinks aside, what I will take as the greatest memory from the evening at Ceia is their team. Alex and Mário make you feel so welcome from the moment you walk through their door! And then comes Chef Pedro Pena Bastos and the rest of the amazing kitchen crew and, somehow, they all manage to make you feel like almost at home, as if this is what dinner every day should be like!.. It’s so inspiring to see young people doing such amazing work. Sophisticated, yet not pretentious.
I left Ceia full of good vibes. Maybe it was because Mário kept introducing me to different wines from across Portugal, or maybe it was because you feel there’s such positive energy and passion at a restaurant that blends elegance with such a down-to-earth feel, like not many others manage to do. Either way, I would sincerely recommend this experience for those out there considering it!

The experience at Ceia was so wonderful and warm. This was our family’s first shared dining experience at a communal table. Not only did we learn about food and wines, we also learned to share joy and laughter with new friends. We really enjoyed every aspect. We highly recommend the experience. You will not be disappointed! Thank you, Alexander, Mario, and Pedro, for making our evening so memorable!!

A really great overall experience. Innovative food ingredients, preparation and presentation. Service was perfect, subtle and efficient. All local wines, way better than other Portuguese wine I’ve tried. Stylish room and decor. Nothing really not to like.
You get a menu of what you ate at the end. No need to take notes.
I liked the intimate format and getting to meet locals and visitors who like innovative fine dining.
If anything was off, the venue was a bit hot and stuffy. While the wine was local, the food couldn’t been more so, or maybe told how it was.
Highly recommended. Fair price for the experience. Book well in advance. Take the wine pairing, the non alcohol juice option was good too.

My family just spent two nights in at Santa Clara 1728 and we were blown away. The rooms are world class. It is located in a great part of Lisbon where you can walk to many fun places. The staff is spectacular. They make you feel at home and are so helpful. I have told many friends about this wonderful boutique hotel.
