The (what I assume to be) owner is very friendly. He's definitely after reviews, but he deserves them! The food is outstanding and well priced. I ordered Chicken Tikki Marsala, and he brought out a thin bread w/spicy sauce appetizer for free! He also provided unlimited rice and spices to match my desired spice level :D All the food plus two liters of beer was only 12.50 euro (!!!)
These guys genuinely deserve your business. Take it from someone who rarely ever submits online reviews: go to this restaurant!

A good variety of dishes from the Indian sub-continent. A cozy place to have well-prepared Nepali, Indian, Chinese dishes at a very affordable price. Admire the hospitality and the friendliness of the staff. Went there with friends and had korma with rice. :)

Atenciosos com um sorriso na cara. Preços acessíveis a carteira dos portugueses. Produtos de confiança e de boa qualidade, bom para levar os filhos a comer e com comida bastante soudavel. Tendo em conta que se encontra no Saldanha fiquem espantada mais uma vez com a relação qualidade preço. Pois é bastante compensador.

This restaurants deserves 5 stars because of its caring owner. The service was impeccable and the the lassies were some of the best we ever had. Furthermore it is great value for money. Sadly the chicken butter curry was not seasoned adequately and we found it to be disappointing that they did not serve any naan bread what you would expect from an authentic Indian restaurant. Happy to recommend this place to anybody who seeks a well cooked, hearty Indian dish.

Based on Google reviews we visited here on an unplanned overnight layover at Lisbon airport. Relatively close to the airport (a short taxi ride away) on arrival we were intrigued by its very informal atmosphere. The food was delicious and served quickly by a very attentive waiter. The overall bill (€24) was very good value for the 2 full courses of excellent food, 2 Lassis and bottle of water. We would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant if you like authentic Nepalese fayre.

Great meal , best Mango lassi i ever drank. Staff is very friendly and trying to accommodate the costumer on best way possible. Food is good quality and tastes fresh, real home tastes of Nepal. Lamb curry with spinach felt like melted in my mouth how delicious it was. I would recommend this place to everyone looking for good nepalese food, you can even reserve the table ,considering that the place is not big.

Personalen, som är från nepal, är väldigt trevlig och pratsam. Om du drar lite härliga backpacker-anekdoter från nepal så blir han på väldigt givmilt humör.
Prisvärd mat och smakar fantastiskt gott.
Kan starkt rekommendera dumplings och chicken masala.

Amazing overall experience! A starter, two mains, a dessert, and four beers all for under 20 euro. All the food was delicious. Our waiter also gave us some complimentary cherry liqueur to try, and advised us when we were initially ordering too much. Highly recommended!

One of the best place I ever tried to eat some Nepal meal ! The crew is extremely friendly, their advice are very accurate and balanced and the taste is awesome, all of that for a very cheap meal... higly recommended !

Visited Rose Stupa on a Thursday night after seeing the great reviews on Tripadvisor/Google. Upon arrival the restaurant seemed quiet. The owner (we presume) was the only member of staff we saw all night and was actually friendly. Now getting to the problems - we waited around 40 minutes for starters which came at seperate times (5 mins apart) but did taste good. Then waited another hour for our mains which tasted bland, in the meantime 2 more tables had been seated and served their mains before us. The owner had apologised on several occasions throughout, assuring us every now and again "the food is coming soon sir" but this was obviously not the case. After finishing everything the owner gave us shots of Ginja as another apology which we had to ask for as compensation (little to our knowledge we found out the next day that the shots we had were from a bottle of very cheap portugese liquor). We then went on to pay our bill which took a further 10 minutes (at this point no other tables were there). Finally he proceeded to ask us for a good tripadvisor/google review which we said we would think about. After several other restaurants we visited in Lisbon we felt like we had to give an honest account of what we experienced at this restaurant. Throughout the entire experience we remained friendly and courteous and hope that people reading this review will consider the other great restaurants out there in Lisbon.

This restaurant is exceptional when it comes to service, value and food quality! We consider ourselves very fortunate to have this place located directly across from our Airbnb. We will be regulars here during our stay in Lisbon.

I waited 5 minutes to be seated after nobody was ahead of me with plenty of empty tables. I waited thirty minutes to get a menu. I waited forty minutes to have my order taken. I waited forty minutes for my drink which came with my appetizer. I waited twenty more minutes for my food. And I've waited forty minutes for my check to appear after asking for it twice. All the while multiple parties were getting service ahead of me. I was less than two minutes from walking out the door without paying when my check finally arrived. It took me three hours from entering to leaving this restaurant, and only about 25 minutes were spent eating.
The owner apologized profusely, and I almost forgave him, until I had to wait forty minutes for my check. What good is an apology when you continue to have abysmal service? People arrived, were served, and left before I got my food. Realize that I waited TWO HOURS to get a drink on my table from the time I sat down which I cannot recall happening in my entire life. I did not even arrive at peak hours
There were customers literally sitting next to me that entered over an hour after me who were served before my order was even taken.
At least the food was good.

Passés par là avec ma femme un soir.
Le restaurant ne paye pas de mine, mais il est plein.
Nous arrivons à trouver une table pour 2 à l extérieur et heureusement !
Les plats sont excellents, le service très aimable, et les tarifs imbattables. 16,90€ pour 2 plats de l’eau et un verre de whisky. Une adresse conviviale et peu coûteuse avec une nourriture consistante et délicieuse.

We were visiting Lisbon for a weekend and decided to eat Indian/Nepalese food after a lot of AMAZING Portuguese food.
The exceptional part about this restaurant was the hospitality. The staff makes it a point to help you understand each dish and what it’s made of before you start eating. They are extremely courteous & kind to also understand your dietary requirements.
The food quality reminds you of mom’s home made Indian food so this place is definitely a treasure and a must visit if you are craving some good curry!

This place is a nice Restaurant and cafe. The name snackbar does not do justice to the nice food being served here! The staff was amazing. We ate the buttered chicken and the Rosa Stupa special Thukpa, which were both amazing!

A comida é óptima e, na minha experiência, foge ligeiramente ao típico restaurante nepalês. Estão disponíveis muitos pratos mas todos eles são de qualidade e feitos no momento (o nosso grupo pediu todos!).
A somar a isto o atendimento, pelo senhor Anil, é de uma simpatia a que já não estamos habituados.

This place is great if you want some outstanding Indian Food and some drinks. Their specials menu is a quite a value as well. Generally the specials menu comes with drink, your dish and rice. I ordered the chicken mushroom off the specials menu, my wife ordered the daal thadka and the kids ordered Butter chicken, all dishes came with plenty of rice included with the dishes we ordered. The food was delicious as is evident from the empty dishes I have posted as well. Service was extraordinary. Anil was very attentive and checked on us multiple times to make sure we were doing good and didn't need anything. This place is a hidden gem. If we are ever back in Lisbon this will be our first stop to get some great food. That's how good this place is. Thanks for making our last night in Lisbon so special.

Comida deliciosa por um preço de tasca imbatível na área do Saldanha. Recomendo vivamente. O único senão é mesmo a variedade de pratos confeccionados.
