Excellent codfish! The meal began with complimentary rosé bubbles and a trio dip where one of the dips was, I believe, beet flavored. It was a bit sweet and a delicious way to start our meal. The creme brulee was also the best I tried in Portugal. Excellent restaurant choice for dinner but you do need a reservation as it gets incredibly packed any night of the week. They also have a tasty wine selection. Will definitely be back on my next trip!

Delicious food! We had the Remember Lisbon platter (it’s a must), octopus and codfish dish, and the cataplana stew. All the dishes that we had were delicious. We came here at an odd hour - around 5pm and it was quiet. Not sure about the crowd during dinner time but I can imagine it must be packed especially since the restaurant is small. This is definitely one of our favorite restaurants if not our favorite in Portugal!

Notre premier restaurant à notre arrivée sur Lisbonne. Agréablement surpris les serveurs sont aimable et certains parlent français. Pour les plats ils sont délicieux, le magret de canard est succulent et les prix ne sont pas excessifs.
Nous y sommes retournés pour notre dernier restaurant et encore une fois nous n avons pas été déçu.

By far the best meal we had in Portugal! Chef Helder B. took the time to give us amazing recommendations on the food and wine that made for a wonderful evening. We had the grilled octopus, steak, prawns, and his mom's seafood stew... all were amazing! I definitely recommend you go family style so everyone can sample the wonderful dishes together.

I had the grilled sea bass with vegetables, and it was excellent- perfectly salted and seasoned. The tempura beans with flavorful mayo rounded out the meal, along with a delicious light Portuguese wine. Warm, cozy atmosphere and professional service. Good value, but not cheap. Would definitely return.

We had a really amazing evening at the restaurant. The service was excellent and we want to say thank you again to the kitchen and the service team. The food was very delicious. We had Clams, the "Remember Lisbon" slate, an amazing fish soup and as a starter bread with butter and a dip and olives. The pricing was very good. We really recommend this restaurant all visitors of Lisbon.

Lekkere Portugese keuken, vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel dat je in het Engels aanspreekt. Aperitief aangeboden, grappig maar correct wijn advies, heerlijk huiskamer geboel. Goed gegeten en gedronken voor een eerlijke prijs. Wij gaan vanavond terug.

Esperiencia única sem duvida.restaurante acolhedor staff muito atencioso decoração lindíssima.bem da comida nem temos muito a dizer é deliciosa muito bem confecionada com uns empratamentos de outro nível adorei .(recomendo a visita sem dúvida) e claro com a visita terão mesmo de sentar e desfrutar do espaço como da (Comidinha) deleciosa e a beleza dos empratamentos.voltarei o mais breve possível.

Not exceptional but very very good.
Portions are of a hearty size - you will be full if you order appetizer and main dish (desert optional).
Food was tasty, service was attentive, wine was good - no complaints.
Price to quality was ok - not exceptional but also not overdone (for our expectations)

Sehr aufmerksamer Service, der gerne alle Gerichte erklärt und uns mit dem Wein gut beraten hat. Die Fischsuppe war perfekt, das Lamm mit Rotebeetemus sensationell, die Steaks perfekt gebraten. Wir hatten einen rundum sehr schönen Abend und werden gerne wieder kommen.

Fairly priced, delicious food, great wine selection and lovely service.
We had the cod fish cakes (made to order)-- wonderful!!
Octopus and the pork, which were also amazing dishes. Very well seasoned. The mayo they serve with their fries are great.
We loved it so much we went back again.
The desserts were good but nothing to write home about. However the food is perfect.
Highly recommend.

The menu clearly warns that the cuisine is on the bold side when it comes to taste (and one should not be afraid to consult the staff), and it certainly fulfills this promise. That being said, I do agree with what others have noted - one risks being served a dish that has been salted to the point where sodium drowns out everything else and numbs the taste glands to a point where the fine texture of the food becomes a missed opportunity.

We were staying at a place in Alfama. It was a 40 minute walk of pure stair climbing. By the end of it, I was telling myself it better be worth it. This place will not disappoint anyone from the service to the people and the delicious food. I was not much of a seafood fanatic but I definitely recommend the octopus and the rice pudding for dessert. Will definitely come again when I return to Lisbon. Definitely recommend to make a reservation before hand as we got lucky there was a seat for two.

Overall a disappointing dining experience. Despite the friendly and professional staff and the reasonably refined and cozy atmosphere, the food was bland and overpriced: the rice I ordered was overcooked and the octopus that came with it didn't have much flavor, they charged us around 10 euros for about five small and basic tasting shrimps, and most of the razor clams that came with the codfish didn't have any meat in them; finally, the house wine just tasted average. On the other hand, we enjoyed the tomato rice and the mussels.
It appears that the main dishes aren't their forte and this wouldn't be a big problem, especially since from our experience restaurants in the surrounding Barrio Alto neighborhood aren't the best, if the bill had been a little lower as you can eat incomparably better food at the Time Out market (15 minutes away) for a lower price. Maybe we caught the chef on a bad day but I definitely wouldn't recommend eating here.

Great service but not a great food
The waiter could speak English and he could explain all the dishes in English.
About the food, we ordered three different dishes and shared and sadly none of them fitted my taste.
It was mostly salty and some shrimps were not processed properly, some shrimps still had shells and some didn’t had shells. If they were consistent I would have understood as their own style.
It wasn’t expensive but also not that cheap, so I would have expected a better food quality.

1er séjour, 1 semaine à Lisbonne. De toute la semaine notre coup de coeur, 10/10 EXCELLENT à ne pas râter.
Un régal pour nos papilles et une présentation dignes d'un gastro, avec le service discret, efficace beaucoup de gentillesse et parlant français, le serveur prend du plaisir à nous expliquer les plats présentés sur la carte avec de la poésie, pas de précipitation dans le service, un apéritif offert en attendant. Nappes et serviettes en tissu, nous étions ds une salle de 20 couverts calme et sympa sans chichis.
Addition 70€ ,: 3 plats, 3 desserts 3 verres de bon vin.
ps : la mousse au chocolat ....une tuerie mieux vaut réserver.
BRAVO au chef et à toute son équipe.

Das Essen hat uns nicht überzeugt. Die Vorspeisen waren zwar gut, aber die Hauptspeise nicht. Das Fleisch war nicht zart, man konnte es kaum essen. Es gibt viele bessere Restaurants in der Umgebung.

On the whole this was a good place to eat. I found the description of the dishes on the menu somewhat confusing so recommend you ask questions from the staff who were very helpful and friendly. However, we asked for tap water but got bottled and had to ask for our wine to be brought to the table when a couple next to us had theirs served despite them ordering it a good 5 mins after us. The food was very good but I just couldn't give it 5 stars due to the variable service. I would still recommend a visit though .

WOW! We were in Portugal for two weeks and finally found a restaurant that surpassed all our expectations. The food,
the service was beyond anything we had ever experienced. If you are in Lisbon make sure you visit this restaurant. Wish we had discovered it sooner. Thank you Helder Branco and staff. The whole experience was awesome.

The motto of the restaurant is '... you enter as a customer and return as a friend' and truly so it is. We had great 'Momentos' at the Momento. The food is exceptionally good! and the service excellent (so friendly). We were so excited that we spent 2 evenings in a row at the Momento. The staff are best educated about gluten intolerance. We will be back soon...

Жили по соседству. Столик заказывал заранее через «TheFork». Заходя внутрь помещения сразу попадаешь в мир порядка и стабильности, особенно в контрасте с шумом улиц района Bairro Alto. Достаточно тесное помещение (да как и во всех ресторанах этого района), но устроили нас очень комфортно. А приветственный бокал игристого задал тон прекрасному вечеру. Основные блюда не буду нахваливать, так как жене приготовление осьминога не очень понравилось. Несколько жестковат и не хватало остроты. Я выбрал блюдо дня (The Dish of The Day) – но в этот день Шеф был не в духе, я не в восторге. Но бутылочка отличного вина, оливки и сыр сгладили все шероховатости. Обслуживание на высшем уровне.
Хочется вернуться, а Вам рекомендую взять на заметку.

Easily the best meal I have had on my current trip to Lisbon, and probably the best across 12-15 business visits here. We had the Azorean steak in tomato and onion stew, and the duck, both of which were fantastic. Well worth the trip to Bairro Alto.

Leuke plek, vriendelijk personeel. Uitgebreide kaart met allerlei lokale gerechten. Uiteindelijk viel het eten echter wel wat tegen (wat droge kip bijvoorbeeld). Niet echt goedkoop, maar prijs-kwaliteit verhouding redelijk ok. Grote porties.

This restaurant is fantastic. We had green bean tempura, beer and chili shrimp, swordfish with clams, and seabass. It was all unbelievably delicious, and paired with an excellent Portuguese wine recommended by our super friendly waiter.

Personal atento y amable pero sin ser pegajoso. La comida esta preparada con mimo y con una buena relación calidad-precio. Recomendamos la mousse de chocolate y la portuguesita aunque es imposible equivocarse con su carta. Merece la pena subir esa cuesta, volveremos seguro!

Wir hatten dort im Großen und Ganzen einen sehr netten Abend gehabt. Das Essen war sehr lecker und nett angerichtet. Die Portionen waren auch nicht zu groß, was ich sehr gut finde. Die Fischsuppe als Vorspeise war sehr gut - geschmacklich sehr interessant und ausgewogen. Der Octopus mit Bratkartoffeln war lecker, aber nach meinem Geschmack ein bisschen zu ölig. Das Schweinefleisch mit Süßkartoffeln war sehr lecker und gut zubereitet. Der Service war ok - nicht aufdringlich und zurückhaltend freundlich. Beim Servieren der Hauptspeisen hat der Kellner gefragt, wer von uns beiden was bestellt hat - solche Sachen soll sich ein Kellner merken. Als wir ankamen war das Restaurant fast voll. Die Luft drinnen war ein bisschen stickig. Zum Glück hat ein Kellner immer wieder die Eingangstür ein bisschen aufgemacht um frische Luft reinzulassen:)
Unter dem Strich - ein Restaurant mit guter Küche, einem angenehmen Ambiente und sehr gutem Preis-Leistung Verhältnis.

I've been to Lisbon several times already, but this is by far my favourite food experience. Dishes are carefully selected and absolutely delicious, portions are generous, staff are super helpful and friendly - can't recommend enough!

I visited with a large group of friends, the restaurant were very accommodating. The food and wine was lovely, honestly I've never had so much good feedback from my friends everyone thought it was fantastic. Prices were reasonable and was easily the best meal we had in Lisbon

Smaklöst och otroligt snålt med fisk och skaldjur. Åt fish and stew pasta som innehöll blaskig buljong några räkor och musslor, 4 små tärningar av fisk, lite grönsaker och sönderkokta makaroner.

It was a great time! Cozy restaurant with great staff and outstanding seafood (I recommend the Fish Stew and the Bacalhao with eggs, as well as the pork dishes). The service was great and the staff was very friendly, they even let us put on a tennis match on the TV as we really wanted to watch the final of the US Open. I would definitely recommend going there, you won't be disappointed.

Lovely place! We had a fabulous waitress, very attentive without being annoying. Explained the menu well and listened to my dietary requirements. Food was excellent and with generous portions. Best meal we've had in Lisbon so far!

Amazing food, staff and service. What a surprise to find such a gem of a place. My wife had a traditional cod dish with potatoes and cream sauce and could not stop raving about the flavor, I had the salmon with sparkling wine and caper sauce and that too was wonderful. The desserts were great as well. I reccomend a visit.
