This restaurant has a authentic Persian environment, with the rug and table cloth. The chairs weren’t that comfortable.
I got the Mirza Ghasemi and flat bread as appetizer. The flat bread was not authentic Persian bread that is often made in tandoor. But supermarket bought flat bread heated up... it tasted more like the cheap bread served in Mexican restaurants. The Mirza Ghasemi was nice but tasted off, I think it needed more eggs to taste right. It tasted like they didn’t blend any eggs with it.
For main dish I got the Bakhtiyari Kabab which consists of Koobideh Kabab (ground beef) and Jooje Kabab (boneless chicken breast) with rice. The rice was of high quality, but it was under cooked (it’s almost tasted uncooked as in I’ll probably get a belly ache tonight) and the butter tasted cheap. The Koobideh and Jooje tasted very bland and without flavor. I’m not sure if they adjusted the recipe to meet the Portuguese taste. I’ve had Persian in 111 countries and this place was not one of the good ones.

Lovely place with authentic, delicious and satisfying Persian food. All kabobs and the lamb shank with rice are highly recommended. When in Lisbon, definitely stop and try this cute place.

Detestei o restaurante. Caro para o sítio que é. Nem se dá conta k é um restaurante pois o logotipo está muito escondido vai lá a pessoa saber porquê!
Achei todo o espaço sujo. Cadeiras de plástico com logotipo de uma marca de refrigerantes e num entanto pedem vinte e tal euros por uma travessa de comida. Se pagamos a dinheiro nao trazem o troco pressupondo k o resto é para a gorjeta. Um atrevimento de todo o tamanho!

We really liked the food. For drinks I recommend the Tokhm Sharbati, it was really good. The place looks like a secret Persian cafe and everyone was nice and professional. The menus were in English and Portuguese so very accessible as well. We will come back!

Decent place for authentic Mediterranean halal food. Wines are ok, avoid any hard drinks or mixes as they dont really have a bartender. Lamb Shank with curry is a must have. The meat truly falls off the bone! If you haven't had Mediterranean before, then know what to expect before you come here. The manager is very friendly, but the service could be a bit chaotic for large groups.

The ambient was great and the staff was very nice. The food wasn't amazing. It was my first try at Iranian food and I just felt it was unsavoury and had a taste of oil. The entries that were savory but were just a bit off. I don't know if it was my pallete, but it wasn't for me. I would give it more stars if the price was lower, it just didn't match the quality.
Best to go with small groups instead of big groups, the food took a while to get to the table, before we were served, smaller groups had food served and left.

We were visiting Lisbon from Scotland. Last night in Lisbon so we decided to go for something Persian/ Middle Eastern.
Wow what a great experience. I have not been to a better Persian restaurant in my life!
Well served food and staff are amazing.
I would highly recommend it.

The mixed kebab was good.
The falafel (starter) was nice, could do with larger chutney portions.
The Mirza Ghasemi was absolutely disgusting and tasted like smoke.
The tokhm sharbati tasted like tap water with a ton of chemicals inside, wouldn't recommend.
Interior is nice and staff is friendly. Took about 25 minutes for food to arrive.
Won't be returning.

Great to be "home". The service is great and the food is really Persian soul food. The atmosphere is less decorative but that's because of the location. It's in-house to a cultural center. The food is most important. And tip: take some dookh which is a yoghurt drink that helps the digestion

Wenn man zunächst das Restaurant von außen sieht, dann kann man sich gar nicht vorstellen, dass es hier so gut schmeckt! Ich habe schon in sehr vielen Ländern persisch gegessen, aber dieses Restaurant kann locker mit den besten Restaurants in L.A. mithalten!
Vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis her der Oberhammer! 3 Softdrinks, 0,5 L Dugh (Joghurtdrink), 1 Salat Shirazi, 1 Spinat-Joghurt, 2 Hauptspeisen. Das ganze für knapp über 40,00€.
Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert, da man hier sehr freundlich aufgenommen wird, das Essen mega frisch ist und der Preis unschlagbar ist!
Wir waren gestern das erste Mal da und werden während unseres Aufenthalts sicherlich noch 1-2 Mal hier essen gehen!

Para jantar de grupo nao funciona, uma travessa que se ve que tem quantidade só para 1 pessoa, e posto na mesa para 4 ou 5 pessoas, as sobremesas igual, um copo de gelado e tambem para 4 ou 5 pessoas, e ridículo. Eu de certeza que nao torno lá ir. Os restaurantes esquecem se que estes jantares de empresa, serve como cartão de visita para novos clientes, e eu sem dúvida não torno lá ir , estao a racionar a comida, e este conceito de todos comer da mesma taça de gelado e da mesma travessa, para mim, nao funciona. Para nao dizer que o aspecto do restaurante e degradante.

Incredible food and such friendly service. We had the Zereshk Polo, Mirza Ghasemi, Joohge, Bakhtiyari, and Naan (a must!). The quality and quantity of food is unparalleled, even the presentation is lovely. Visiting from out of town, we were craving some Persian food and were really pleasantly surprised by the excellent food, prices, and service.
Having been to Iranian restaurants around the world, Lisbon was an unexpected place to have some of the best. We will definitely be back :)

Foi uma experiência boa,embora serviço de mesa tem de ser melhorado. Comemos nan com berinjela fumada e para prato principal pedimos kebabs mista . Carnes estavam bem temperadas e bem confecionadas ,arroz nem tanto era simplesmente cozido em água. Depois de entrada ,comemos prato principal no mesmo prato. Em modo geral restaurante e recomendavel.

The Best Joojeh Kabab I ever had
The expectation was very high for everything I had read about this space. It was worth the trip to come here for dinner. Cozy atmosphere that takes us on this gastronomic journey. Friendly, professional staff with great attention to detail. We ordered the Mix Kabab - different flavors, well made; Mahiche (lamb shang) - very well cooked, Joojeh Kabab - Best Joojeh Kabab of our lives. We could spend the rest of our lives eating this Joojeh Kabab that we would never get enough of. Well worth the visit!

Lovely surprise, we have checked the place online before going, when we got there the entrance which is shared with a gym wasn't very appealing, but no regrets, the interior is quite pleasant, not fancy but cozy. The service is great and welcoming. But the real star is the food, simple in appearance but surprisingly complex, saffron, cardamon an unforgettable experience. I usually don't take price in consideration, but in this case worth mentioning that is surprisingly inexpensive.
PS: Try the baklava and saffron drink.

If you’ve tried iranian food you will not like the food here. We ordered chicken and lamb kebabs, which were very bland. Bread was dry. Started okay. Baqlava too greasy. We left a lot of our food.

Magnífica! O restaurante e o serviço são simples, mas a comida deliciosa. Tomei um Sharbate Zaferani, uma bebida tradicional iraniana feita por açafrão persa, mas as taças para vinho são uma obra de arte. De entrada comi um Pão Wrap delicioso com Mast Bademjan, uma patê de berinjela fumada com alho com molho de iogurte cremoso. É possível misturar os pratos e tem menu de almoço a preços muito bons. Experimentei o Koobideh Kabab, um espeto de vitela e cordeiro, servido com saboroso arroz basmati e tomates grelhados. E também o Adas Polo ba Khoresht khalal badoom: lentilhas, canelas e passas com arroz basmati de açafrão com um delicioso khoresh, um ensopado iraniano com carne, tomate, amêndoa, cebola e limas secas. Não aguentei encarar as sobremesas, há um gelato e um arroz doce típicos. Um achado!

A lovely restaurant with good quality food, good price and welcoming staff. Our last night in Lisbon was filled with delicious food and good memories chatting with the owner. Highly disappointed in this restaurant , starting with the atmosphere it doesn't bring any iranian vibes to it. Most of the dishes served are not iranian. Not a lot of options to choose from. The waitor is bad and is not helpful at all. Tables are too small. Food quality is not that of a high rating restaurant.

I cannot recommend this restaurant. If you have had an Iranian meal elsewhere, it would be easy to compare and see that the meals served here are of very poor quality. Perhaps many of their customers are trying an Iranian dish for the first time without any expectations and then thinking this is what an Iranian meal should taste like. We had the traditional choice: Koobideh with Doogh and both were terrible. The kebab was not grilled on charcoal and tasted bland and kind of strange without proper spices or necessary ingredients. Instead of fresh halved onion, there was old chopped onion on side of the dish and instead of greens (sabzi khordan) there was ONE leaf of parsley sitting by itself on the side! The table cloths were dirty and had stains from previous service. The doogh (drink) tasted like expired yogurt (that has gone bad) with water added and a lot of salt to conceal it has gone bad. We could not drink that of course. The whole experience felt like a practical joke; we couldn't believe a restaurant can be this bad, but there was no prank. It was what it was: probably the worst Persian restaurant you can imagine.
Go to ANY other Persian restaurant and it would be more tasty, healthy, hygienic, and professional than this place.

We stopped by for lunch. The service was great and the food was served quickly. The kobeedeh kabob was excellent, very flavorful with good aroma. The chicken kabob was tender and cooked perfectly.
The appetizer was also very good. We enjoyed the spices that were added to eggplant mix.

It was my first time in an Iranian restaurant in Portugal but it was a great time, very nice personnel, traditional decoration and the food which is exactly the same taste in Iran. We tried 3 dishes : Sabzi Polo Mahiche, Zereshk Polo and Mirzaghasemi with almost all the appetizers (except felafel), excellent quality, big portions and correct price. The Doogh (drink) was top quality I will come back again the next time.

Not very good place if you have been at least once to an average Persian resturaunt! Really below expectations: when we got there it was busy and the service was really need. The food options are nit that many and portions are relatively small comparing to Iranian cousin; not recommended at all. I would rather to have a Portugese food! Despite the fact that the food looks good, the quality and portions are not the best!

The kebabs are NOT cooked on a charcoal grill, so they do not taste authentic. The other dishes may be good but it's impossible to have real Iranian kebab if it's not done on a charcoal grill.

Very nice food and especially friendly service which makes u feel at home, if you have a friendly and welcoming home lol. I had some chicken which was super tasty and kind of melted on the tongue! Can absolutely recommend the chicken and shashlik mix tho :) i hope i wrote it right, its been 2 months since ive been there but i still remember.. :)

On the occasion of my visit, I saw a good example of how a weak soldier can cause a lot of loss to it's own army...
Chose this restaurant on a VIP birthday occasion, did talk to the night manager (Mr Ali) and informed him of our plan. Told him as well that I am a frequent traveller and regular review writer on Google.
Nevertheless the waiter who came to receive order from us, DID NOT listen carefully, DID NOT repeat the order details and brought a late and wrong dinner which eventually spoiled the night.
Food quality was honestly Okay ( better than what I thought) but unfortunately it's the teamwork that counts.
Mr Ali did his best to orchestrate the event in a better way but a rude, non-apologizing garson did bring him my 2 start review( with little of ignorance).
The management/ownership of the facility definitely deserves less...

These restaurants are only suitable for hungry people who can pump the food to its empty stomach. The waitress cannot communicate with customers, receives the wrong order, the wrong food is cold when coming, it takes a long time to serve the right food, the wrong again .......
I do not recommend. Eat McDonald's. It is much better.

Atenção que a nota real seria 3,5. Infelizmente o Google não permite dar essa nota. Deveria haver uma divisão da nota em serviço, comida, local. Passo a explicar porquê. Nunca tinha provado comida iraniana/persa, portanto não sei se os pratos são típicos, se está bem confeccionado ou não. Simplesmente a comida não é para mim. Pedimos um Plate of nature e um zereshk polo ba morgh (perna de frango frita). A comida não estava má de todo, o problema para mim foi falta de sabor, talvez por estar acostumada a comida indiana. O meu prato, vegetariano, estava também um pouco seco, acho que poderiam fornecer uma dose de borani um pouco maior para não se tornar tão seco. À parte disto, o falafel estava também um pouco seco e sem sabor, mas repito, não sei se este tipo de falafel é mais típico desta cozinha. Por outro lado, o frango estava bastante bem confeccionado, nada seco e até estava saboroso. Para beber pedimos o dough, que estava muito salgado e o sharbate zaferani, que estava bom, com sabor a açafrão (verdadeiro açafrão, não o que chamamos de açafrão em portugal).
O local não é nada de especial, localiza-se num ginásio, mas está decorado com alguns motivos persas, o que o torna mais agradável. Atenção às moscas ou o que quer que fossem os insectos que passaram o jantar todo a sobrevoar a nossa comida!
O atendimento é muito simpático se bem que um pouco confuso por vezes, talvez pelas barreiras linguísticas.
Agora o melhor de tudo foi sem dúvida a sobremesa! Pedimos baklava porque já tinha experimentado em diversos estabelecimentos em diversos países e adoro, portanto gosto sempre de experimentar para saber onde vendem os mais saborosos. Este é apenas o segundo que como em Lisboa, se bem me lembro, mas foi sem dúvida o melhor. Se pudesse dar nota só à sobremesa seria 4,5. Estava um pouco frio de mais o que o fez mais estaladiço. Mas o sabor!! Delicioso!! Se pudesse ir só para comer baklava visitaria mais vezes sem dúvida! Maravilhoso!

Take them too long to bring your food and they brought my son food when we had to leave and asked them to pack it to go. They were busy but that shouldn't take away the service for the customer

Absolutely delicious and amazing staff.
My friend and I had the Mast Bademjan, with Falafels and Naan to start, then I had the Jooje Kabab and he had Bakhtiyari Kabab (mix of chicken and veal). The presentation was phenomenal - silver plates, all arranged tastefully.
The staff's English was very good, they were always smiling and fun to talk to.
Would definitely come here again.

Uma excelente experiência. Gostei muito da Mixed Kabab com a sua variedade de carnes (bom para mais do que uma pessoa), Adas Polo ba Khoresht (género de estufado acompanhado com arroz de lentilhas), Mirza Ghasemi (beringela fumada num molho de chorar por mais), o pão Naan, a salada Shirazi (de uma frescura contagiante) e para mim o rei de todos os sabores: os Falafel !!!!

Wow, the food was better than I expected. The lamb was juicy and tender. The chicken kebab was very tasty even if it is breast part. The falafel was cooked just right for my taste. I'm already recommending this place to my friends. The price is just right. And friendly service, what more to ask.

Excelente restaurante. A comida é muito bem confeccionada e ao estilo caseiro. Todos os pratos parecem ser feitos lá, incluindo a baklava e o gelado, que são óptimos.
O atendimento também é excelente. Sempre super simpáticos e atenciosos.

Atendimento simpático com comida servida em quantidades generosas. O espaço deixa um pouco a desejar mas vê-se que fizeram um esforço em o deixar confortável, com mais alguns ajustes tenho a certeza que vão melhorar o espaço em muito. A musica estava um pouco alta, mas com uma boa selecção muito adequada ao espaço. De modo geral foi uma experiência agradável que tenciono repetir.

The best Iranian restaurant in Lisbon. It has lovely atmosphere with nice music. Try 'mirza ghasemi' for starter. All kebabs are fantastic. Don't forget Iranian traditional 'dogh' for drinking. Staff highly polite and professional. Highly recommended.

A nice place with good food. The main courses are quite elaborate and difficult for one person to finish. The starters and desserts are also good. Overall it costs around 15 euros for an entire course.

Durring my visit in Lisbon I find this restaurant by Google map. I am happy that I had my dinner there. The staffs are friendly, the kabobs are diliciius, the saffron ice cream you should try.

Not the best quality Iranian food.
For an Iranian this place is a low quality food restaurant. But meanwhile foreigners seems to like the food but i think its mainly due to the fact that iranian food is exotic for them. But the staff are ok. And nice decoration.well located. Easily access to it through main street.

We were 25 Iranian ophthalmologist attending in a scientific conference in Lisbon, We had a great night with colleagues in 1001 Nights restaurant. The food was excellent and higher than average compared with the restaurants in Tehran. We highly recommend the Iranian foods in 1001 Nights for those who still have not experienced this cuisine.. We were 33 people of colleagues using Group menu of 1001 Nights Iranian Restaurant. We had an excellent nights with friends. The owner suggest to taste variety of 5 types of food that were Joojeh Kabab, Bakhtiyari, Mix Kabab, Adas Polo and Zereshk polo with Morgh. The quality and quantity of food and drinks were perfect. The service was very fast. We enjoyed from Iranian music. The owners were so friendly describing about Iranian Cuisine. I highly recommend to have groups in the restaurant.

First of all for starter, you can order Nan with Mirza Ghasemi and Spinach borani or Falafel. I highly recommend you to eat Joojeh kabab and Baghali polo, the Price is fair, for desert, Do not loss Iranian Ice Cream. it is a different desert.

So we found this restaurant through Google maps because we were interested in a different food type, the Iranian caught our attention.
The starters were good sized, delicious and good value.
Main course we had the mixed kebab and the joojeh kebab, mixed kebab was really good came with huge portion of rice and 3 types of meat, I would really recomend it for people that can not choose.The joojeh kebab was also really nice the chicken was moist and tender, came also with a good sized portion of rice.
As dessert we had the bastani sonati ice cream that was highly recommend and we can confirm that. The ice cream was something to die for!
For drinks we had a white sangria, was quite good but not their speciality.
Staff was really friendly!

I highly recommend! Impecável! Lugar simples, comida honesta e deliciosa, feita na hora e atendimento simpático! Sugiro para aperitivo o spinach borani (espinafre com iogurte e alho), acompanhado de pão iraniano. Pedi o Chen chen de cordeiro, uma delícia! A bebida takhn sharbati (de chia) é boa também, embora muito doce. Falando em doce, as sobremesas são muito gostosas.

Das Restaurant ist total unscheinbar in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Metro-Station Roma und wirklich einen Besuch wert. Wir haben Hühnchen und Lamm bestellt und waren wirklich begeistert von der Qualität, besonders das zarte und saftige Hühnchen hat es mir angetan. Wir wurden auch sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient und würden definitiv wieder kommen, sollten wir nochmal nach Lissabon kommen.

I had one of my best experiences in this restaurant, the place was really nice with a great outdoor space and don't get me started with the food, we had picanha and entremeada de porco, made on charcoal oven and it was amazing experience, looking forward to our next visit.
