Our party of five landed in this restaurant when searching for a place for seafood. The menu looked fine, we ordered mostly different kinds of fish, like hake, sardines and sole fish. The portions came with some salad on side. Fish was decent and the white vine of the house was a bargain, 4,50€ a bottle. But then things started to go south... The person who had ordered hake fish found a freshly eaten chicken bone in her salad. This made us think that "Can it be possible that they are recycling leftovers here?". We called in the waiter and his boss. The explanation was ridiculous: "The bone had fallen from another plate onto this plate". On one of the pictures you can see the bone lurking in the salad. They were so busy making excuses that they did not really even apologize very credibly. Neither did they offer us any compensation whatsoever. This was our first and last visit to this restaurant. Be warned.

6€ de pourboire obligatoire? Le service était correct mais la nourriture était très mauvaise, flottait dans l’huile. Au moment de payer le serveur nous à simplement ajouter 6€ pour une addition à 60€.

So... This is a very specific place. This is not a fancy haute couture. This is a Portuguese family tavern. The staff is very friendly and helpful but they do not jump around you like you were a celebrity. Be nice and they will be nice as well. Also... if you want good food, order chicken or fish. That is their specialty.

Dine as a local, friendly staff in original enviroment, sadly our choice of meal not quite up to it. Look at what others have in front of them & enjoy.

The warmest welcome and the best grilled chicken I've ever had. A true antidote to hipster menus. I know grilled chicken doesn't sound that exciting, but barbecued to perfection it becomes truly special. This is a really authentic and great place to eat!

OK so its not galmorous. Joao served us. First of all he moved the barrier aside and made space for us. We ordered a bottle of wine which he bought right out. We ordered fish. She the sole, me the cod. Both arrived reasonable time and were FABULOUS! Didn't expect they'd be that good.. Price was very reasonable. Joao worked fast and efficient like he was trying for the world serving record or something. Great to behold. He apologized that he couldn't spend more time with us. We got fast efficient service, Great food at a reasonable price. No apology necessary Joao! I'd highly recommend this restaurant.

Really good place to eat near Cais do Sodre station. The restaurant has a small garden, so we needed to eat inside. The dinner was good (some dishes were really tasty!), prices were fair and service was exceptional.

Excellent food, good proportion, quite cheap and good service. It was a big surprise for me and my family. I highly recommend the calamar and octopus. The salmon is also good. The restaurant is also well located near the station of Cais do Sodre and the centre of Lisbon

Because of a misunderstanding in the request I was called a liar in front of my daughter, wife and friends. Already yes they happened similar situations in the trips and restaurants that I attended and every time I treated with respect and the situation was solved of the best form, however never disrespected like I was by the waiter who attended us that by the way he should not work with attendance but yes in the kitchen since he does not know how to deal with people. Or who knows in some restaurant in the middle of nowhere. My friend Lisbon is a city of tourists, people from various places in the world, if you do not have the ability to understand this look for another job. First my wife had ordered a chicken and 5 minutes later was informed that there wasn't more, asked for a mango juice and then was informed that she also had not. In the menu, "Iscas" in my country it is fish and not pork but there was no other description that indicated such thing. The fact that I misunderstood it does not give you the right to disrespect me as a client and even more in front of my family. I did not pay the dish wrongly chosen what was to be expected after all the stress. I will never return to this place again and will not recommend this to any of my friends. O quizá en algún restaurante en lugar ermita. Mi amigo Lisboa es una ciudad de turistas, personas de diferentes partes del mundo, si no tienen la capacidad de entender a fin de buscar otro trabajo. Preis-Leistung mangelhaft. Zuerst etwas Positives: die Weinempfehlung war wirklich gut. Alles andere leider nicht. Wir haben über 1h auf unser sehr "einfaches" Essen gewartet. Die Schrimps waren schlecht gebraten, nicht kochfertig zubereitet und mit teilweise schwarz gebraten. Grilled Peppers Salad ist zerkochte Paprika, nix grilled und die Aioli ist nicht selbstgemacht und nicht gut. Alles in allem, nicht zu empfehlen.

We had lunch here yesterday and it was excellent. Quick and friendly service and a good daily menu. Soup or desert with a choice of meat, fish or vegetarian for 8.50 is a very good deal for downtown Lisbon. We had the spaghetti with homemade herb pesto and mushrooms. So good!

Si je pouvais mettre zéro étoile, je le ferai ! Hier, nous sommes allés au restaurent avec mon compagnon pour fêter mon anniversaire. J'ai d'abord commandé un poisson, il n'en avait plus. Ça peut arriver.. Du coup j'ai commandé l'autre poisson. Lorsque mon assiette est arrivée, nous avons cru à une blague. Une assiette digne d'un repas lors d'un vol. Le poisson est arrivé, sans sauce, sans citron, sans rien. Et les accompagnements faisaient peine à voir. Trois morceaux de pommes de terre vapeur et des haricots verts vapeur, sans rien non plus, sans sauce, sans goût du coup, vu qu'ils étaient cuit vapeur. Nous avons donc demandé si ils n'avaient pas oublié la sauce ? Ils m'ont dit que non, que c'était comme ça. J'ai donc demandé une sauce en leur disant que c'était pas très appétissant, j'ai eu une sauce au beurre. Un des serveurs a cependant était très aimable et m'a proposé un dessert mais nous n'allions pas manger un dessert vu la qualité du plat. J'étais très très dessus de mon repas d'anniversaire. Lorsque nous avons payé la note, mon compagnon était un peu en colère et à demandé la raison pour laquelle ils servaient des plats sans rien, on nous à répondu que c'était pour les personnes allergiques, comme ça elles n'avaient pas de problème. Aucune honte à nous mentir droit dans les yeux ! Quelle honte ! Et bien entendu, nous avons payé le tout + la sauce !! Vraiment, aucun scrupule !

Super Lokal in zentraler Lage. Preis-Leistung stimmt. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich und wirklich sehr bemüht. Regionale Speisen, das Personal gibt auch gerne Empfehlungen ab, wenn man sich nicht ganz sicher ist was man bestellen sollen.

Na rua rosa tem muitas opções de restaurantes, passamos em frente ao restaurante e a moça Elis nos convidou a conhecer o restaurante, nos mostrou o cardápio, nos deu a dica do bacalhau e vinho Maria bonita, amamos jantar no restaurante Rio Grande, ao final ela nos apresentou as sobremesas e comemos sericaia um doce português muito tradicional, gostamos muito, preço muito em conta, atendimento nota mil e a Elis muito amável e atenciosa, recomendo a todos os meus amigos, ambiente muito acolhedor, de todos os restaurante que visitamos e pagamos em alguns preços tão alto e atendimento e qualidade da comida nem chegou aos pés do Rio Grande, amei muito e falei que iria curti vocês tá aí minha nota mil :)

Se você quer fugir de restaurante "pega turista", este é o lugar. Além de tudo, é o melhor custo benefício. Com 8,50 euros você come prato principal com bebida, opta por sopa ou sobremesa e ainda vem um cafezinho no final (de lambuja uma cestinha de pão e salada que não são cobrados a parte). Experimentamos o borrego, açorda de feijão (vegetariano) e caril de lula, tudo excepcional, bem servido e com um tempero maravilhoso. O local é acolhedor, quentinho, decorado com azulejo português e o atendimento é excelente. Pessoal sangue bom mesmo, nos trataram muito bem, sem distinção por sermos brasileiros. Recomendadíssimo!

Au premier abord, la déco typiquement portugaise est annonciatrice d'un restaurant plutôt authentique dans un quartier qui l'est de moins en moins. Peut-être sommes-nous mal tombés, mais le service a été déplorable : plats à l'abandon sur le comptoir pendant quinze minutes (moment choisi par notre serveur pour faire sa pause-cigarette), engueulade entre serveur et cuistots, panique générale menant au refus pur et simple des nouveaux arrivants à partir de 21h00 malgré un restaurant à moitié vide... Bilan : très bon poulet tiède et garniture froide. Experience mitigée donc, à tenter sans doute si vous tombez le bon jour !

Wow! The worst I’ve experienced in a while. I eat the grilled cod. I could hardly even eat a bit, too salty (really, on the extreme side), swimming in olive oil, tasteless veggies. The olives they serve in the beginning are tasteless. Find other place!!!

Entramos porque anunciaban tener menú por 7,50€. Una vez sentados, nos preguntaron por el idioma que hablábamos, nos dieron una carta y no fue hasta que preguntamos por el menú que nos dijeron que "ya no les quedaba". El menú en portugués y en español no tenía las mismas opciones. El servicio fue lento y, cuando recibimos la comida, al menos uno de nuestros platos estaba frío. Definiría la comida como " comestible", pero ni de lejos sabrosa. Personalmente, no recomendaría este lugar.

No es especialmente barato, la comida no tiene nada de especial, el servicio es lento, ... Está bien pero no lo recomiendo teniendo mejores opciones alrededor.

Seriously the worst experience in Lisbon. The interior is dingy-looking, the staff doesn't know a single word in English (we couldn't order latte, because our waiter didn't understand us), but all this is beside the point - here we tried our worst food in whole Portugal. And it was pork medallions. Before that, I didn't know you could screw up meat, but apparently you can - they wasn't cold, or even undercooked, they just had horrible taste, and i don't even know how they managed to do that. But since it was our last meal in Portugal, we left with very bad impression. And the waiter was very slow and completely forgot about us. Also, the food is not cheap - at least, we've been to cheaper and better restaurants in Lisbon
