Super hotel. Nous y avons séjourné 4 nuits et avons beaucoup aimé. Les chambres sont grandes et pratiques mais n'y attendez pas le même charme que dans le palais, elles sont assez impersonnelles. Le buffet petit déjeuner est bien, sans plus. Le point culminant sont clairement les jardins.

If you're ever in Estoi, this (now) Hotel is well worth a visit. Because it's partly state owned, the ground floor of this old palace and its gardens are open to the public. Sit in the fantastically ornate and opulent state rooms then stroll in thee beautiful formal gardens. (free admission) Well worth an hour's visit.

We stopped for a drink... it is rather magnificent and the bar man was amazing. The star lost is for some tired decor and the ladies loos truly need work .... we spoke to some guests staying in the hotel and they said it was magnificent

Stayed with my wife Mrs. Schwaggins in early May this year. Apart from the historical building, there was nothing really special about the hotel. It truly isn't a 5 star hotel from the service and interior point of view. the historical halls and salons were poorly renovated with random office furniture. the interior of the rooms and breakfast reminded me of a 3-star hotel chain that one could find next to Frankfurt airport. Mediocre and not satisfactory

Was totally transported back in time. Amazing how the palace was totally restored to its former glory from the abandoned state it was in when visited this site 10 years earlier. You can imagine riding in a horse drawn carriage from the main gate up the long drive. Accommodation quarters are very modern and cutting edge. The palace is nestled in the middle of a working class village which is removed from the main touristy areas.

Beautiful 19th century hotel and we enjoyed our stay in here. Bartender was awesome person and he did great cocktails. Breakfast was standard level, but it was nice to eat outside and enjoy the nice views. Rooms was nice and clean.

We wen't to a birthday trip to Portugal and stayed few nights at this hotel. It's built in an old palace and has magnificient gardens. Estoi itself is a small vilage, but towns of Faro and Olhao are near. Whole area offers more authentic experience of Portugal than tourist traps closer to Albufeira.
Hotel is nice with pool, gardens and baroc lobbies. Rooms are nice and clean. The superior room we stayed had a nice bed and I slept like a baby. Props for ac that doesn't make noise. Also there is free parking and having a car here is good idea if you want to explore neighbouring towns. Hotel bar is small but nice, especially the bartender is a great character and you really can enjoy his company. Breakfast was pretty standard, but you can enjoy it on a terrace with nice view.
We didn't eat here so can really say much of the restaurant.
Of course competition in luxury category is tough and we found only few minor issues that really don't spoil the day. Electric outlets near the bed are under the table and are annoying to reach. There was a waterbottle on the table and it was charged as minibar when we left. For some reason they didn't bring more water next day after room was cleaned. Usually when you have a birthday, hotel takes this into consideration and you get something to feel you nice, but only guy who seemed to notice this was the bartender, big props for him. So the cons are not really reasons to avoid this hotel.
Over all good experience and very nice place to stay.

Nice hotel. It was fun to wander on the hotel grounds, which is massive! Wish they labeled their plants and trees because we were curious about what they were. They even had a large playground park.
Recommend a maximum two day/one night stay. Pool was too cold to use.

Lovely establishment - staff were very helpful and friendly. Nice location and quiet area. Would need to hire a car or go by taxi if you want regular trips to the beach. Could do with more than one iron for the building. Grounds are beautiful, buliding is mixed with old and new. Thoroughly enjoyed myself - would use this again.

Beautiful hotel, the main wing being a renovated castle. Very beautiful gardens, with the highlight the view onto a breeding pair of storks which were nisting a little down the road from the castle. Easy access to Faro (bus) and Olhao (Taxi). We thoroughly enjoyed our family holiday here. The only reason for not giving five stars was that the hotel was clearly understaffed, and although all staff were always friendly and helpful, the lack of personnel sometimes showed in the restaurant.

A magic place with a romantic environment that makes you fall in love with Estoi region. Staff people are amazing and very kind, you will feel like a princess/ King staying in a Palace. Food is also tasty, very typical in the region, it must be tried.

Pousada Palácio Estói is a lovely and charming hotel in a former 18th century neoclassical palace. The hotel is nice and the rooms are elegant, clean and quiet big. The hotel has outdoor and indoor pool. There are restaurant and bar at the premises. Hotel has a sauna, hammam and massage treatments available at extra cost. ATM machine close to reception if you need withdraw money. The wooden floors make us feel like back in time. The Roccoco lounge offers an afternoon tea and the decoration is all about history. Estói is only 11km away from Faro, the 13th century town, capital of the Algarve. You can reach out Faro from Estói by driving, taxi or bus (coach number 65). There is no train station in Estói.

Ein wahnsinnig schöner weitläufiger Ausblick und eine tolle Gartenanlage in diesem historischen Gemäuer. Der Prunksaal der . Wir haben nur die Anlage besucht, waren keine Hotelgäste. Der Garten ist riesig, aber hier und da hätte er etwas besser gepflegt sein können. Trotzdem ein Wow- Effekt unseres Urlaubs.

a part le wifi ne marchait pas, le reste etait super. Le resto etait cher et la qualite pas terrible. sinon le reste etait super. tres bon personnels, le village Estoi est super. evitez daller au restaurant qui est a cote de lhotel, car iles cher et pas bon, meme si les serveurs sont tres gentils.Si je retourne un jour a Faro, jirai surement dans cette hotel.

A thoroughly unimpressive stay.
The gym had a lack of basic equipment and even that had broken equipment during our entire stay.
This was also the case with their sauna.
The indoor pool was the size of a cloakroom. The outdoor pool was unheated and freezing cold. Hence no one used it.
Nothing to do inside the resort.
Poor selection of food for an evening meal and this was also apparent for room service.
Staff overall were friendly, with exception to a couple who felt they were doing us a favour being employed.
I would certainly not recommend this resort to others.

A informação disponibilizada é enganadora. O que está disponível para visitar fica aquém das fotos e do que está informado pelo turismo de Faro e por sites especializados de turismo. Além disto e o mais desagradável é que a visita de grupos não é bem recebida pela Pousada por "estragar o ambiente" para os hóspedes, de acordo com a receção da pousada.

This hotel occupies a former royal palace. It is gorgeous! Loved exploring the gardens and grounds which are amazing. Very quiet and relaxing stay. Pool is a little cool in spring but I went in!!!

Wir hatten ein dreibettzimmer gebucht. Das Bett war da,aber es fehlte an Handtüchern , Gläser , Stühle auf der Terrasse für die 3. Person..... auch an den Abenden wurde nur für 2 Personen die schoki verteilt, kleine Gesten die die Unaufmerksamkeit bestätigten. Das Frühstück könnten wir trotz gutem Wetter nicht auf der Terrasse einnehmen, obwohl andere Gäste dies taten . Zu uns sagte man es sei verboten, das Personal wäre ansonsten überfordert. Leider , trotz herrlicher Lage und imposanten Interieur, waren wir enttäuscht. Dies Beschwerde haben wir auch vor Ort vorgebracht. Eine Änderung geschah nicht, jedoch eine Entschuldigung.

Booked and paid extra for a superior triple room. Got a cot on the floor against the balcony door. When asked for management the reception is not authorized to give out that information. I was told that I was the third person that day that complained about it and was told that all I can do is write a complaint. Was told that management knows of the issue and is unwilling to resolve this. The room is also missing a lot of things, especially for the 3rd person. I've stayed at a dozen hotels in the Small Luxury Hotel line and this is not up to standard. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel. I'll be contacting my Visa infinite card to do a charge back.

Curiosa Pousada, mezcla de antiguo palacete de verano de la nobleza portuguesa y moderno edificio. En la parte antigua se reparten las zonas comunes, comedores, salones, recepción, etc. La parte nueva contiene las habitaciones, SPA, piscina y aparcamientos.
Habitaciones amplias, modernas y funcionales con terrazas individuales dando a los jardines.
Las zonas comunes tienen su encanto a pesar de ser una decoración recargada.
El personal muy amable y servicial.

O local é bonito e está razoavelmente conservado.
Os funcionários do bar/restaurante deveriam ter melhor formação.
Como estava um dia quente e não queríamos almoçar ao sol pedimos que fosse aberto mais um guarda sol, o funcionário disse que não conseguia sem o pessoal de manutenção...e assim a preguiça venceu.

Points negatifs:
1)On ne peut pas manger ni matin midi ou soir sur leur belle terrasse avec vue splendide.tres tres dommage quand on vient du mauvais temps et qu on veut profiter un maximum du soleil
2) nous avons dejeune (a l interieur )mon entrecote etait franchement une viande de tres mauvaise qualite et je sais de quoi je parle j en mange tres (trop)souvent.
3) mais ce qui m a vraiment fache c est leur SPA.il est non existant. L estheticienne ou masseur absents.apparemment ils ne sont pas là tous les jours.en plus dans l ascenceur pub pour soins avec mention prix special SEULEMENT aujourd hui.tres amusant.sauna ne fonctionnait pas.bains turcs il fallait monter a la reception pour qu il l allume.cela a mis 1 quart d heure a chauffer et 10 minutes plus tard c etait a nouveau froid.la petite piscine interieure est franchement ridicule.leur spa (qui n en est pas un) doit faire en tout 30m2
Par contre la piscine exterieure tres belle mais pas chauffée.

Magnifique lieu que lon peut visiter gratuitement car reconverti en hôtel. Moulures et ornements au plafond magnifiques. Jardins extérieurs très bien entretenus. Visite intérieure et extérieure. Une réplique des 3 grâces disponible en bas du palais. Possibilité de se promener parmi orangers du palais! Très belle vue du balcon du palais. Visite à faire. Mais seule visite réellement intéressante de la ville d'Estoi et peu de bus pour y aller et en repartir. Attention!

C'est un hôtel (assez luxueux avec piscine et Spa) mais on peut visiter les bâtiments et les jardins, et pourquoi pas prendre un verre au bar, très classe mais sympa. Le décor est vraiment très bien. Salon vert, et un autre (plafonds peints, lustres, mobilier) , chapelle, des jardins classiques avec escaliers, colonnades, statues, azulejos, orangers....

Das Restaurant ist eine Katastrophe, auf Nachfrage gab es eine Karte, eine Bestellung wurde auch 15 Minuten später noch nicht aufgenommen. Der Kellner kümmerte sich lieber um seine Privatgäste. Angeblich wird auf der Terasse kein Essen serviert, 5 min später gab es am Nachbartisch Essen. Stehe jetzt auf und gehe.

Le plus bel hôtel dans lequel nous avons séjourné. Le personnel était très attentif, le cadre était magnifique et la chambre était parfaite. Avec cet immense jardin, cette piscine fraîche et ces superbes salles, il est impossible de ne pas se sentir bien dans cet hôtel. Nous reviendrons un jour, sans hésiter.

Muito bom ambiente, conjugação do moderno com o antigo bem conseguido arquitetonicamente, confortável, com parque subterrâneo, excelente pequeno almoço, piscina, restaurante e spa. Não gostei do facto de permitirem cães pois fiquei ao lado de um quarto com um cão a ladrar a noite e para mim quando passava no corredor. Estragou a minha estadia o que é pena num alojamento desta categoria e custo. Reclamei.

Óptimo hotel, com jardins amplos e bem mantidos, todas as salas do antigo palácio estão como se (quase) tivessem parado no tempo, o que é algo muito agradável. O restaurante é óptimo e vale a pena experimentar, mesmo não sendo barato. Local fantástico para relaxar, dado que está um pouco fora da vila de Estói. Recomendo.

Wunderschöne Pousada im noch recht ursprünglichen Estoi, für angenehmen, ruhigen Aufenthalt zu empfehlen. Ca. 15 Minuten Transferzeit vom Flughafen Faro, interessante Ziele nach Tavira, Faro. Olhao, Loule. Vilamoura Marina und zu den Inseln der Ria Formosa oder den langen Sandstränden sind rasch erreichbar.

This is real 6 star hotel! Forget about brainless money splash like burj al arab, ritz, etc. - its first time ever in any hotel when i felt like royal from 18th century and first time ever when i preferred to stay all day in hotel than doing sightseeing.
Also met couple who stayed in few different pousadas in portugal, and this one was level above other.
Its real royal place!

Having paid for my brother and new wife to stay here for 3 days and living here in the Algarve. Was very disappointed with the food . Service is friendly but average they also state they are pet friendly but what they don't state is my small dog has to stay in the room and not allowed on the terrace or gardens very disappointed in this. If your pet is not allowed to join you when you stay it's not pet friendly. Did not expect to take him to the dining room but the terrace would have been nice.

Rooms are very good as is breakfast though Thought that free water should be provided in bedrooms. Evening meals were simply atrocious with all food served cold in my case. The steak had two pieces of herb butter that was never going to melt. Would never have an evening meal here again!!

Such a beautiful property and amazing staff! The room was huge and they made us comfortable with good accomodations for our kids. Thee breakfast spread was big and we tasted many delicious Portuguese varities in addition to usual breakfast fare. We will definitely come back again!

Very good service and help from the two receptionists, Sophia and Philomena. We attended a Wedding Reception at the Palace and they were very kind and helpful in assisting us with the decorations. They even provided us with a temporary area to keep our things. The Palace, by itself, is amazing.

Ich denke, wenn man sich für dieses Hotel entscheidet, hat man eine ganz bestimmte Erwartungshaltung, wie der Aufenthalt ablaufen sollte. Leider wurde diese Erwartung bei uns nur halb erfüllt. Das Schloss ist natürlich ein wunderschönes Gebäude, der Außenpool mit Blick auf das Schloss und den Park war auch toll. Mich stört auch nicht, dass die eigentlichen Zimmer in einem modernen Komplex untergebracht sind, unser Zimmer als solches war auch recht schön. Allerdings waren auf unserem Balkon Fäkalien eines Tieres, wahrscheinlich von einem Hund, die bei der Reinigung offenbar übersehen wurden. Als wir dies der Rezeption mitteilten, schien man uns nicht so recht zu glauben und erst eine ganze Weile nachdem wir zwischenzeitlich schwimmen waren, kam eine Reinigungskraft, um sich des Problems anzunehmen. Leider entdeckte ich zudem später auf meinem Laken einen undefinierbaren Fleck erst als ich am Einschlafen war. Ein 2. Laken darüber war für mich in dem Moment zwar ausreichend, dennoch ist dies nicht unbedingt, was ich von einem solchen Hotel erwarte. Das Frühstück am nächsten Tag war wiederum großartig. Auch hier allerdings 2 Wermutstropfen: Wir wollten eigentlich draußen sitzen, wurden aber von einem Angestellten davon abgehalten und, obwohl die Frühstückszeit noch nicht abgelaufen war,wurde um uns herum schon zusammen geräumt, was ein gemütliches Frühstück am Ende doch etwas unentspannt machte.

Nunca he estado en el hotel, conocimos el Palacio cuando estaba abandonado, los jardines estaban descuidados y todo estaba cerrado. Rodeamos todo, el palacio, los jardines, todo el recinto, sin poder colarnos, cada paso que dábamos nos parecía un sueño, era todo precioso. Al siguiente año que fui, se podía visitar el Palacio y tomarte algo en los salones, fue maravilloso. Siempre que voy al Algarve vuelvo a verlo y hago el mismo recorrido que hicimos el primer año. No me importa que haya un hotel, porque estaría en ruinas, se habría caído y perdido para siempre. Para mi, es el sitio más bonito de todo Portugal, fue magia cuando lo encontramos

sehr schönes Hotel im Barockschloss mit schönem Garten. Zimmer in angebautem Neubau. Estoi ca. 10km ausserhalb Faro, also am besten mit Auto zu erreichen. Grosse Garage und auch Aussenparkplätze. Wunderbare Aussicht, aber für die Zimmer den 2. Stock wählen. Restaurant etwas spartanisch-schlicht, ein wenig Mensa-like, Essen aber gut. WLAN gut. Grosser Aussenpool, kleiner Innenpool und kleine spa.

Uma estadia numa pousada única, romântica e excepcional! Fiquei escolhido propositadamente para um pedido especial à minha namorada (agora noiva) e foi o melhor que podia ter feito. Este palácio é lindo, muito bem restaurado e com muito bom gosto. A parte moderna do hotel está totalmente bem integrada com a parte antiga, num excelente trabalho do arquitecto Gonçalo Byrne. Tem quartos grandes e com vistas deslumbrantes, piscina e spa, delicioso pequeno-almoço buffet, bonitos jardins e todo o requinte esperado de uma Pousada de Portugal. Os seus colaboradores tudo fizeram para que a nossa estadia fosse ainda mais romântica. Adorámos!

The staff are fantastic. Could not be more helpfull. The pool area is beautiful, perfect to unwind at. The rooms are spotless ,very good air con. And leaving the very best till last, the breakfast. How can i put this.when your finished it,your looking forward till the next day. Breakfast for my wife and i took us about 1 and a half hours. I still miss it. Simply put ,it was perfect. --- i want to go back ,please.!!!!!!

Rooms are on the other wing of the palace so our room is so isolated and so far away from the reception and restaurant. We don't like our room because of too dark wooden cupboards and walls. No big mirror for a lady to dress up....

Tres compliqué de juger. Le personnel est gentil et irreprochable. Les chambres sont biens. Par contre la literie on peut tomber sur pas terrible. Le matelas est legerement en pente ou il y a un creux quoiqu il en soit j ai mal au dos depuis 6 jours. Côté coussins les 2 sont trop mous. Il en faudrait 1 plus rempli pour ne pas avoir de torticoli le matin. En effet le matelas super ferme le coussin mou la colonne n est pas droite toute la nuit.
Touts ses explication pour dire que l hôtel est bien mais le côté nuit a des arrangements à faire et pour un hôtel c est le principal

A stunning building and breathtaking gardens which thankfully are open to the public and not just guests of the hotel. This place is too special not to be shared. Pictures don’t do it justice. Estoi is a charming little village with this Palácio as the jewel in its crown. Worth a visit if in the Algarve and are in need of an architecture fix and a slice of local life.

En general me ha gustado todo mucho. La única objeción fue que no pudimos visitar los jardines. En recepción nos dijeron que no dependía del hotel y que buscáramos puerta de acceso por el exterior , cosa que hicimos y no había ninguna abierta. Hay un cartel que pone: contactar con recepción para visita al lis jardines. (???)

Two stars only and that's because the food was tasty and on its own would have earned 5 stars but the service was non existing. There was no bar service. Had to request reception to call someone. When it came to the restaurant, same thing. Had to ask reception to once again call for someone. Service was extremely slow and basically non existing.

Lo descubrimos por casualidad y se ha convertido en uno de nuestros sitios favoritos, un lugar para desconectar, lleno de detalles para una estancia perfecta. The website didnt state that the pool and sauna are out of commission and it was one of the principal reasons for booking. However the price was good but its low season. The hotel search engine will tell you it is in Faro but is a long ways out. Pretty scenery and unique building and good breakfast and low season rate!

The place is tired and in need of extensive care and renovation. While we were there, the pool was not functional nor the bar. Early in the morning, loud construction noise began at 9:00 AM. We could not walk through the gardens given work in progress there. The best compliment is the breakfast buffet which was very special along with the kind and attentive personnel there.

Dieser grandiose "Palast" in Estoi verfiel im Laufe der Jahre mehr und mehr, so dass zu befürchten war, dass er bald endgültig zu einer Ruine werden würde. Rechtzeit haben Investoren den Palast übernommen und ein luxuriöses Hotel (Pousada) mit Restaurant daraus gemacht. Nun hat das Palácio wieder seinen altem Glanz zurück! Es ist erlaubt, durch das Restaurant zum Garten zu gehen, um diesen anzuschauen und das, OHNE Gast zu sein!! SUPER!

I didn't stay in the hotel but visited the palace and the grounds. The palace is beautiful with its Rococo style architecture and I talked to a couple that was staying there and enjoying it. The pool area was wonderful. The only thing I did not like was they had taken a piece of history and turned it into a commercial hotel. Why???

Prachtige locatie voor een hotel : in een oud paleis....de zalen zijn prachtig, ook de kapel, het oude gebouw van de buitenzijde, de tuinen, de gaanderijen....een aanrader....bezoeken kan vrij, maar het wordt zeer gewaardeerd als je dan ook een drankje gebruikt....aan zeer normale prijzen....in de mooiste salon vertoeven brengt je in de sfeer van weleer.......zie zeker mijn bijgevoegde foto's.....

The hotel rooms are in a new wing so they are large and very modern. The historic palace holds the dining room, bar and salons. The gardens are spectacular. Youll probably need a car to explore the area. The hotel restaurant is very good but requires reservations, even if it is half empty.

The property is absolutely breathtaking ! It’s over the top magnificent! Extensive gardens and an elaborate castle. The rooms are spacious with very private balconies, really big bathrooms, comfortable beds and pillows (I think all the pousadas use the same bedding, we’ve stayed in a few This trip and they are the same ). The service is wonderful here. I’ve requested a few things and they were granted (kettle, coffee cups - no coffee supplied in room, extra towels ) Entire staff is helpful and tries very hard to speak English. This is our 4th pousada This trip and by far this is the most beautiful. If you don’t stay here you MUST at least tour it. Also the town is walking distance with restaurants, coffee shops and interesting streets to wander. Also I must mention the spa: clean with a sauna, a steam room, Turkish bath and a huge pool , all free with your room. They offer spa treatments, they didn’t seem too expensive. I saw the treatment room and it was beautiful with a eucalyptus smell.

The hotel is very beautiful. The common spaces are breathtaking to explore. We loved the art in the hotel to show where it came from before renovation. The rooms are in the new construction and feel like a typical hotel. The grounds are very impressive to walk around and explore. The breakfast was very nice and the service staff were very friendly. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was a big expensive for the food but quite tasty.

Estuvimos hace un par de años para almorzar con los maravillosos jardines como compañía y nos quedamos enamoradas del lugar. Hemos vuelto para alojarnos y la experiencia no ha podido ser de lo más agradable a pesar de algunas cositas que no nos han gustado. Es verdad que estos sitios se viene para desconectar pero no hay que obligar. El wifi es de pena y eso deberían tomar nota para corregirlo. También es demasiado pequeño el spa con todos los metros que tiene el hotel. La comida más que correcta y el desayuno es sencillamente de reyes. No hay que perderse sus jardines que se pueden visitar aunque no estés alojado.

This is a very beautiful place to stay. You can see from the bedroom balcony that you have a great view down to the coast. You’ll need a hire car here.
The old Palace was a ruin until fairly recently. Now it’s this amazing hotel. Very romantic chaps! If you’re looking for a special place, you could do a lot worse. Loads of local restaurants nearby. Though the hotel food was fab. Breakfast could feed you for the day!
Rooms are great. Nice private balcony. Topless on the balcony or local beaches wasn’t a problem for my partner. There are naturist beaches nearby too. Maybe next time
Driving is fast here. But not terrible. They just drive fast! Don’t drive in flip flops.
There is a decent function room within the hotel grounds. Enough for a 75 person wedding perhaps. Very smart operation.
There is also a secure underground car park which was great for us on our touring holiday.
The beach at Pedras del rei goes on for miles. Totally fabulous sandy beach. Very good facilities on the beach include restaurants, good showers and toilets avail free.
Enough from me. Except to say that there were no children there during our stay.

Palazzo con giardino eccezionale. È posto su una piccola collina sulla parte apicale del paese. L’ingresso è difficile da trovare è un portoncino al lato del giardino. Molto interessante il palazzo anche se in parte dedicato alla Spa mentre è eccezionale la scala con la fontana. Da non perdere.

Great hotel whose glamour has faded a bit but great value for the money! Clean, spacious rooms with large bathroom. The breakfast is plentiful but the decor and ambiance of the dining/breakfast room need attention. When the weather is nice, breakfast can be taken on the terrace which has a nice view over the beautiful gardens. The hotel has free in garage as well as outside parking. Only complaint: wi-fi signal is weak.

Beautiful property. There was a wedding in progress in the gardens, must of been a magical moment for them. Great staff, enjoyed the pool, good food. Would recommend.

The hotel is magnificent! But I would give zero stars to the restaurant itself. In particular the front of house staff. We are guests at this hotel. 7 Canadians asking for a table at this restaurant and we were refused because of our size. The restaurant was completely empty and only opened twenty minutes earlier! They admitted to not having any other reservations as it is a Monday. I love this country but this restaurant staff is horrible lazy and refused 7 covers of very willing and patient “possible” customers. Shameful. The Restaurant hosts’ work ethic should be seriously put into question.

Its a lovely place to relax. What did not like was that for wifi access no password was needed. My tablet did not accept this and as a result we could not use our tablet.

Bellísimo palacio de estilo barroco, aprovechado como parador turístico, si bien lo esencial está abierto al público general.
Este lugar es una visita obligada si nos encontramos por el Algarve portugués, he de admitir que a mí me dejó unsentimiento muy cercano al llamado síndrome de Steandhal.

A mix with the modern hotel and old Roman house work well together. The pool area is comfortable and compact with good views over the Algarve and a snack bar serving light lunches and drinks. The restaurant has a good selection of dishes and presented well with great taste.

The historic Palácio and gardens are lovely. The pool are is very good. The rooms are ok but the modern does seem quite opposed to the historic. No kettle in room for tea or coffee but generally a good stay up in the hills. Restaurant was ok but have had better.

Super schönes hotel. Zimmer ist ein Traum. Super gastfreundliche Menschen. Exzellentes Team. Absolut traumhaftes Essen. Der park innerhal des Hotels ist gross, schön und sehr gepflegt. Das Dorf ist sehr sehenswert. Komme sehr sehr gerne wieder........

Les + :Magnifique endroit dans un ancien palais plein de charme. Le personnel est très dévoué, professionnel et agréable.Le buffet du petit déjeuner est correct. Les - :Nous n’avons pas apprécié le 3ème lit « lit pliant pour un enfant jusqu’à ado » ajouté pour un 3ème adulte = très inconfortable.Le rapport qualité-prix de la nourriture du bar piscine très en dessous du standing de létablissement. Vraiment dommage !

Posto molto bello. Soprattutto la parte del giardino e le sale interne. Colazione ottima. Adatto anche ai bambini. Bella piscina con panorama. Personale molto gentile e professionale. Camere adeguate anche se la doccia nel bagno non era separata dalla vasca.

I've visited here with my husband just for a sightseeing. The staff were kind to let us have a tour. It is in a remote village of Estoi but truly beautiful place with an outdoor swimming pool.

Villa fantástica construida en el s. XVIII por el Conde de Carvalhal y ampliada en el s.XX por el Vizconde de Estoi, con extensos jardines de estilo francés. Considerada coo el mejor ejemplo del Romanticismo en todo el Algarve, actualmente pertenece a la cadena de Pousadas de Portugal. Paseando por él descubrireis escaleras, balaustradas, estatuas de aire clásico, fuentes y estanques. Acceso gratuito. Al acabar el recorrido, recomiendo tomarse algo fresco en el salón dorado, admirando el mobiliario y su decoración pictorica.

Boa situação que dá um super ponto de vista.
Acho a parte histórica muito linda mas não gostei da compatibilidade com a parte dos quartos que merece renovações e ser menos moderna.
Dois pontos ao meu ver necessários : fazer réguas para utentes não deixarem toalhas nos banhos de sol todo o dia sem lá estarem. E as cadeiras dos quartos são pesados e riscam vos os chãos e fica tudo marcado e feio.

le personnel est genial.Seul bemol nous avons attendu 1 heure au restaurant de lhotel pour etre servies(diner)malgre la reservation.La piscine interieure est un peu vetuste.Et la piscine pour enfants pas tres propre.Nous avons aussi trouve un cafard dans notre chambre.A part cela je recommende cet hotel Le petit dejeuner buffet est excellent!

Buscábamos un sitio para tomar un café antes de adentrarnos en las playas del Algarve y caímos en esta Posada. Un palacio precioso y muy bien conservado, con bonitos jardines. Una visita original. Quizá le falta un poco más de atención al cuidado exterior, pero están en el buen camino

Beautiful diamond in the rough - excellent location, in a small village away from the madness of city life but still close enough to access everything! 15 mins from the airport and 15 mins into the city centre. Service was exceptional and was the best place I have ever stayed. I couldnt wait to wake up every morning for the breakfast to! A must visit. Definitely coming back in the near future!

Lovely property , very comfortable, beautiful setting, great pool ( a bit too cold maybe ) . But too quiet at night, no atmosphere in the restaurant, service very slow (or too fast) , no atmosphere at the swimming pool bar where people would happily drink before dinner... And a beautiful drawing room in the main house, just before the restaurant but again, no atmosphere and room always empty when with a very light background music and a bar, people would happily sit there before or after dinner.

Le château est très beau, ainsi que certains jardins. L'entrée est difficile à trouver car c'est la même que celle de l'hôtel. Correct pour une activité courte (la visite ne prend pas plus de 30 minutes).

Nul, rien à voir, c'est un super endroit complètement privé réservé à un hôtel alors qu'il y a des panneaux indicateurs dans toute la ville d'Estoi qui indique le palazio.

No es España,cristales de la terraza sucios,carpintería exterior de madera por arreglar,silla de la terraza le faltan dos tornillos,imanes del armario sueltos.El vino tinto lo sirven del tiempo sin enfriar a temperatura de servicio en pleno mes de julio.El mantenimiento en un hotel de 5 estrellas es básico y aquí no lo cuidan.

The grounds are stunning. The restaurant and pool were immaculate. Our room however had little ants in the bathroom and the window curtain was broken.

Had the pork loins which was really a tagine. Was brought a plate and the waitress then proceeded to put the entire tagine contents on my plate, felt like a pointless display and also splashed me with the sauce whilst chatting to a colleague.
Food was bland and the pork was quite tough for a loin.
Wasn't offered any bread either.
Over priced for the food and service, the only redeeming feature is the view.

Wir haben 3 Nächte dort verbracht. Für ein SLH Hotel einfach nicht der Standard, den man erwartet, mal ganz zu Schweigen von einem aha Erlebnis, welches man sich als Gast wünscht. Das interieur - zumindest unser Zimmer - war ziemlich abgerockt. Design-mässig wurde fast jede Chance genutzt, es unpassend zu gestalten. Der Frühstücksraum und gleichzeitig Restaurant ist unpersönlicher kaum zu gestalten - erinnert eher vom Mobilar her an eine Mensa. Gleiches gilt für den Bar- und Aufenthaltbereich, abgesehen von einer wunderbaren Stuckdecke in einem der Räume. Personal - wir haben es nur beim Frühstück erlebt, einen weiteren Aufenthalt haben wir uns erspart (wer weiss, vielleicht ist die Küche sogar gut), das unfreundlichste und unmotivierteste , was wir seit langem erlebt haben. Der Vogeldreck auf unserem Aussentisch wurde wohl bis heute nicht gesichtet. Alles in allem max. ein 3* Hotel. Schade für einen ansonsten wunderbaren Portugal Urlaub.

Take a very long time to serve you, we called in for drinks on two occasions both times we had a very long wait. We also asked for a reservation but were told they were busy, the dinning room was empty

Palacio hotel que aún le queda mucho que rehabilitar pero tiene mucho potencial. Las recepcionistas fueron muy amables y nos permitieron visitar el palacio y los jardines. La parte que está rehabilitada es preciosa merece la pena verlo.

Don’t spend your time, this place is in middle of nowhere, absolutely ordinary hotel, and when you come there you will see the sign that it is closed for visitors. Although no information is posted on any web-site. Really bad experience with this place!

Ubicado en un palacio rural muy bien restaurado y rodeado de jardines encantadores.
Habitaciones amplias y limpias. Con ruido de conducciones. Necesitan redecoracion.
Zonas comunes pequeñas para el tamaño del hotel. Cola para desayunar, para tener tumbona y para el spa. Salones bien restaurados, mal mantenidos y con tapicerías sucias.
Servicio de bar y restaurante muuuy lento y con relación calidad/precio mala. Las botellas de vino multiplican su precio por tres con relación al comercio próximo.
Buen aparcamiento y buena WiFi.
Personal adusto en general y precios excesivos.

Very nice hotel, front desk staff and location. Pet friendly, we had our two dogs, and provide a nice welcome kit of pet food samples and treats from a high end manufacturer. Rooms do get hot in the afternoon, but cool down quickly in the evening. Really nice breakfast and dining areas. Easy walk to town and Roman ruins for variety, and change of scenery. Very enjoyable visit.

Het hotel op zich en de kamers zijn oke, maar prijs kwaliteit is totaal niet in verhouding. Zijn op rondreis in algarve.
. Dit hotel is de duurste maar de minste qua service. Niet small luxury hotel waardig. Misschien moeten ze eens in de leer bij caneiros luxury suites in Ferrugado!! Bij de bar krijg je geen aandacht, duurt 20 minuten om een ice tea te bestellen. Koffers dien jezelf naar je kamer te brengen. Geen service bij het zwembad. Totale teleurstelling ten opzichte van de prijs.!!!!!

This was a great spot. Loved the marriage of the old palace and modern design of the hotel rooms and pool deck. Enjoyed strolling the gardens and wandering through the town. Breakfast was memorably good. Service also good.

Absolutely wonderfully restored "palace" with beautiful gardens. Lovely bar/cafe terrace and mouth-watering menu (although we didn't try it this time but will return).
