Had a great time in Portugal. The apartments are clean although they do need a bit of an update. Rooms not ready until 4pm is my only complaint.

Have seen some really bad reviews for this place.
Stayed there for a week in late may and not one complaint could I give.
Rooms where spacious and clean. Pool was great.
I think it cost 40€ a night for a family of four. Unbelievable value.

Fantastic place to chill around great pool for the kids the staff are helpful the down side the food and drink is dear the bedrooms are good but it's the sun you come for and the town is 10mins walk

O único factor positivo é a simpatia da maioria dos funcionários. De resto temos: baratas no quarto, quartos sem estores, mas o seu espaço serve para os pássaros fazerem o ninho e barulho, toda a noite. Sala de jogos, sem cuidado e sem disponibilidade para alugar. Limpeza dos espaços comuns horrível. Piscina exterior sem cuidado com as reservas de cadeiras.

Very clean appartments, nice relaxed place not too busy. The only thing was that towels were only changed once in the week (so maybe bring your own) and also kids entertainment was a little on the later side at 9.30-10pm would have preferred it slightly earlier. Besides that very good.

I decided.to go for a walk down the townn and discovered my wallet was missing in was putting stuff in my bag had put my purse on top.of another case silly me well I had jumped off .my chair ran it up to the hotel and the staff had it behind the counter another person found it and passed it in I am very grateful to them all beautiful place friendly staff all over the very best to them all

A solid 3 stars. Self catering. Rooms are spacious, clean and come supplied with most utensils to get you by. The on-site Spar is expensive but the restaurant is reasonably priced and the sells the UK usuals in different combinations (sausage, bacon etc). The staff are polite and friendly and the girls on the desk can help you out with everything. Club Alvor Ferias is well connected with the local tourist industry and can arrange local activities for you.

We stayed for a week and no fresh towels or sheets came, may be we were supposed to request them? Other than that staff were lovely, pool was deadly happy atmosphere and a handy lil cafe/bar next to the pool & spacious accommodation. Staff were always on hand to help with transport etc

We had a two bedroomed apartment to ourselves (2 people), it was basic but it was clean and we had no issues what so ever, our room overlooked the pool and we enjoyed the atmosphere.
The hotel does need an uplift but for a cheap break away it was absolutely fine, we enjoyed our time away.

Staff very friendly, accommodation was good although the beds were a little on the hard side. If you are a bit infirm they don't have lifts to get you to the second and third floors, so you will have at least 31 steps to climb. The complex is about 1 mile from the beach.

Staff are very friendly and helpful,I don't like the way the hotel complex is spread out but that's just my opinion.The apartment was clean and tidy but really out dated and in real need of a refurbish I'm afraid......the bed was pretty awful metal frame and cheap mattress,no really sky t.v either ....tv was around 20 years old and needs updating....the room we were in was situated on a fairly busy road which wasn't too much of a problem noise wise but the street lights are very bright right outside the bedroom window and stay on all night which created a massive problem with light in the room,we had to drape one of the blankets over the curtains to help block out the sun....but was a pretty cheap week away ,shower was really good but not enough hot water for 2 showers one after the other which nowadays is not acceptable I'm afraid

A limpeza dos apartamentos deixa muito a desejar, para não falar que temos de conviver com formigas, um aldeamento deste tamanho devia ter um sistema de WiFi em condições, nunca apanhava, e tendo conta os tempos que correm tudo é feito por tablets e smartphones, e pessoas que estão de férias e mesmo assim têm que trabalhar apartir da internet... é para esquecer....na descrição e imagens mostra um parque infantil....minha nossa é de esquecer também...

Pokoje przestronne lecz ich kondycja zostawia wiele do życzenia, zdecydowanie potrzebują remontu ( wygladaja jak za komuny). Dużym plusem jest że kuchnie sa wyposażone w lodówkę, kuchenkę oraz naczynia do gotowania. Hotel dostał by 3 gwazdki gdyby 'cleaning services' byłby lepszy i nie trzeba było o niego prosić. Mógłbym wrócić do tego miejsca bo jest tanie oraz ma dobrą lokalizcję.

Ruim appartement. Verouderd sanitair en niet superschoon. Geen wifi in de appartementen, alleen in de lobby. Airco niet in de slaapkamer. Geen grote lamp in de slaapkamer alleen bedlichtjes. Ontbijt niet op tijd open. Meer dan voldoende parkeerruimte s avonds voor je auto. S morgens handdoekje leggen op de bedjes, terwijl aangegeven staat dat reserveren van de zonnebedden niet mag. Een echte vakantie fabriek. Personeel verder wel vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Apartamento para 6 adultos e 2 crianças. Espaçoso e limpo, mas com falta de manutenção como na fechadura da porta e tomadas e com necessidade de máquinas de loiça e roupa. Os espaços exteriores são agradáveis e limpos incluindo a piscina. Agradável

Muitas infraestruturas . Mas apartamentos muito velhos. Seria justo fazer obras ante da próxima época balnear. Não voltarei a pagar para me hospedar nestas conduções. Preferia ir para o campismo.

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. We travelled lots of luggage and despite the stairs up to the elevator this was one of the nicest places we stayed in the four weeks we were in Europe
We had a spacious room for 4 with beautiful views and wonderful service and hospitality from the staff. Our room had all of the conveniences we could hope for the hotel had a bar ,cafe and swimming pool ect which made our stay much more enjoyable.
room tips: If your room is warm, ask the desk to turn on the A/C for your room - no charge.

Awful apartment block like a prison. No chance of a sun bed. Unless you queue from 7.30 every morning. Steps everywhere. Very little entertainment for children and kids club non existent would not recommend at all. Had to ask for the room to be cleaned and requested clean towels otherwise we would have have the same towels for 2 weeks. Staff miserable. Saw a cleaner throwing a bag containing dirty linen over the top of stairs 3 storeys up anybody could have been walking underneath. Very overpriced.

Ótimo local para passar férias com a família, porém se vc não tem filhos aconselho a um local mais próximo ao centro de Alvor, apesar que fica a uns 15 minutos a pé, as instalações são de boa qualidade e toda a cozinha é bem preparada para famílias que vão passar bastante dias, bem equipada com microondas,torradeira,bule elétrico, fogão,forno,talheres,panelas,varal para roupa, roupas de cama limpinhas. Em fim eu aconselho para quem não quer gastar muito com a família. A ia me esquecendo.... a praia fica a 15minutos a pé e é ótima para crianças.

For a 3 star astablishment I think it was absolutely fine. I think alot of the negative comments are unjustified and some reviewers are reporting the ins and out of a nags bottom! Nowhere is perfect, our room wasn't perfect, but we just said, hey, it's one of them things and not obsess about it, letting it ruin our holiday. We had a few problems the first night too, so in the morning we politely spoke to reception, the gentleman was helpful, sympathetic and sorted our situation immediately. For the record, we had a lovely week here but that's also because we got out and made a good holiday for ourselves rather than sit around whinging about everything. The staff were nice, the pools were great, busy, but what do people expect during the school holidays. The complex itself was maintained well and within a nice walk from the shops, bars and restaurants plus the weather was gorgeous!

Instalações muito antiquadas mas muito espaçosas e sítio muito sossegado, ideal para férias em família .
No entanto os Ingleses levam tudo e mais alguma coisa para a piscina e deixam por lá ( brinquedos de água, toalhas e até muito lixo ) . E todas as espreguiçadeira ocupadas mesmo quando estão ausentes... os Estrangeiros dominam o território todo já que 80% é ocupado por eles.
Todo o Staff uma simpatia e muito prestável. Voltaria a repetir

Just back from Club Alvoferias in alvor. We spent 10 night at these apartments which were clean well located but very dated to say the least. On arrival rooms are not ready til 3.00 pm. A bit of a haul over the bridge that connects the two hotel buildings together, we did ask for assistance with bags but alas no one came. Rooms were very dated with very uncomfortable living room furniture. One tv channel english speaking (sky news).
Bathroom only ok as plughole in bath could not take water in during showers. Towels changed once during 10 days. Patio furniture also very uncomfortable. The pool area was clean and well kept as were the grounds. A 10 minute walk brings you to a beautiful beach alvor itself is a great place for a family holiday lots of restaurants and a great buz at night. However friends of ours stayed close by in apartments costing the same as what we paid for apt at club alvoferias but their accommodation was of a much higher standard with this in mind i will not be returning to club alvoferias any time soon.

Nice place to stay with the family and kids. On the downside, the pool is always full and people have the bad habit to leave their belongings within the pool (towels, water toys,etc), even when they are not there.

Calm, relaxing and very affordable place to rent an apartment for summer vacations. A shared pool and a small bar for a couple of drinks. It's around 750 mts from the beach, so better have transportation if you intend going to the beach.

Had a great time at this hotel. Rooms were basic but good size, all that was needed. Pool area was good at both sides (two separate pools). Get up early if you want a sunbed. Snacks were good but main dinner in restaurant was disappointing. Had small problem with ants but hey its a hot country and it really was a small problem. Staff were friendly enough. Yes I would go back.

Yes the rooms are basic and need updating but they are clean.
Bed doesn't come with a duvet only a couple of sheets but being a man I like it cool when I sleep so didn't bother me.
Pool and poolside was clean.
Alvor a lovely place to visit went to different restaurants every night and all the food bar a fish soap was delicious. Didn't like olives till I went on this holiday.
Don't expect 5star but it was perfect for me at the price I paid. Will be back again.

l don't recommend any of the food it's very poor half cooked chicken l could give on but very poor, definitely would not recommend this hotel.

Can't go wrong if you have children, it was a spacious apartment with everything you need, brilliant pools, really enjoyed the entertainment as well, but wished it started earlier as 9.30 is quite late for some children, the surrounding area is fab with beaches only a 12 min walk its ideal, there is a supermarket (spar) on site but the international shop is a 6 min walk towards alvor and is so much cheaper!!!!!

Awful,bedding wasn't changed,bathroom wasn't cleaned and a few other things but the worst for us was the fact at nearly 67 and my jusband at 68 were given an apartment on the top floor,7 flights of stairs no lift and no help with 2 heavy cases,We will never go back.

Really enjoyed our stay, expectations weren't high as price was very reasonable.
Did ask for an apartment on a low floor but allocated one up 32 steps.
Couple of negatives; no hairdryer and cleaning not great, just a cursory mop through, but huge apartment, very dated but comfortable. Good Intermarche just a 8 min walk down the hill. Beach walkable but takes about 25 mins.

Basic and maybe a little old fashioned, but wonderful. Spacious rooms, convenient for all local amenities and only s 5min walk into town. Cheap but well worth it if you are looking for a nice, clean place to stay. Avoid onsite shop which is ridiculously priced; walk to local Intermarché supermarket which is only 5mins away.

It's alright, if your only using the apartments to sleep then it's fine but the beds are very uncomfortable, the sofas and chairs are very uncomfortable, the pools are nice and the food is lovely.

Nice place supermarket on site although basic it closes at 7pm the restaurants food is really good and value for money its not to far a walk to the town lots of good places to eat very good food in every place we tried we ate out every night for the week taxi back to apartment its uphill on way back only €3.90 all in all very nice place

Nc quiet resort rooms spacious for a 2 bedroom app pool opens at 9 people queuing from 730 to get a bed only about 50 beds and 3 umbrellas there is 96 steps to some rooms over a bridge no gd for disabled mile to walk to beach on main road spar is acoss bridge and stairs carring water and groceries is so hard way all the steps especially if your in 2nd flat

Nada recomendado,las habitaciones no se parecen en nada alas de internet,aqui no deben existir las fregonas, el colchón es mejor dormir en el suelo,lo unico bueno es la ubicación y la piscina ,que tiene 3 metros de profundidad y no tiene socorrista,vale mas buscar otra cosa aunque tengas que pagar 50 eu más

Yes this place is dated, but it's clean and well maintained. The apartments are spacious and although basic have everything you need. The only real negative feedback I have is that they really need to invest in some good quality new sun loungers for the pool area. It wouldn't have factored in my review as I usually go off complexes when on holiday but I had to spend my last day there and 80% of the cheap loungers were broken. If you aren't the type to stay by the pool all day and aren't bothered about luxurious extras too much I highly recommend this resort.

Não disponibilizam sinal wireless, contrariamente ao que anunciam no site.
É quase impossível ter uma espreguiçadeira junto às piscinas por permitirem que outros hóspedes marquem lugar com toalhas sem que apareçam.
O nadador salvador raramente estava numa das piscinas.
A limpeza não era feita na data definida.
Apenas se salva a simpatia de alguns funcionários.
Não recomendo.

Ambiente familiar, apartamentos agradáveis mas podia ter maior atenção a pequenos detalhes como estores renovados. De resto é um excelente local para desfrutar de umas férias e o staff é bastante atencioso e simpático.

Rooms suppose to be cleaned 3 times a week. We had to go and demand them to clean ours. Towels changed once a week and there was 6 of us staying so we had to demand that. Staff over all friendly except for one. Not baby friendly at all. We were put on the 3rd story and staying here 10 days we had to bring up and down a buggy everyday. Not good enough at all. Kids entertainment was terrible. The two girls were lovely but it was terrible. Loads of families stay here and there was nothing for them in the evenings with kids. The sliding doors were so hard to open and one didn't even lock so thank god no one broke in. €35 for the safe and wasn't even told about it on check in. The sun loungers a few were broken. The place needs money put into it big time. The shop was over priced. The food was horrible. Would never stay here again. For the money we payed we are angry. Basic is all it is. Wouldn't recommend it

Stayed here 20th - 27th May 2018. We’re booked into a studio but they upgraded us to a 1 bedroom. We had a ground floor apartment which was perfect for our daughter and the buggy. Rooms were clean and very spacious. Pool was great. Would definitely stay there again!

Apartment was clean and fairly large. Staff were not very helpful when a door shutter broke. It is a bit of a walk away from the village and the beach, but not too far. There are not a lot of amenities at the site, although the basic are there. Over all it was OK.

No Air Condition or Fan in the rooms, rooms where too hot, too much mosquito in the room, had to go and complain at the reception before they could come and spray the room. Am not happy about this place cause i and my children has mosquito bite all over our body. I complained about this to the reception and i was told that there is nothinh they could do.

Such a lovely place to stay on vacations. Great staff, bar, outside services, pool and a really good area. Returning next years for sure.

Nice deep pool. There is a quieter area as well as the busy centre. Food a bit boring, but always something nice to eat. Staff friendly and very nice location, but the beach is a long walk away. Air-conditioning works very well

Large clean apartments, very basic, large balcony, clean pools, friendly service, very cheap. Enjoyed our stay, would recommend for bugets.

Brilliant pool if you like to swim, as really deep. Not great for young kids though as shallow end is very brief and crowded. Apartments are dated but massive and well equipped WiFi signal is okay but can be intermittent. Food is okay, nothing to write home about. V relaxing and nice atmosphere in the place assisted by lack of all inclusive.

Reasonable enough for a family holiday especially if you're hardly in your apartment. Alvor is beautiful.

Friendly staff, nice pool area with new sun a beds a and a chairs. The appartment is large, just a short stroll to the pool. Sleeping in de beds is like sleeping on the floor, very hard and uncomfortable. Hot water boiler was to small for a 6 to 8 persons appartment, 2 people could take a quick shower, than you had to wait for 2 hours. Beach is a 2 minutes drive.
Its value for your money though!

Basic but clean. Cheap and cheerful. Staff were great. Restaurant food was lovely. Pool area fab. We had a great stay..

The area is amazing the apartment spotless and the food is great a short walk to Alvor with a great choice of bars and restaurants.

Very dated bathrooms & kitchen. Room nice size but dated. No lift so it's all stairs I'm afraid. Dimly lit walk ways, mostly unlit. Some nice staff but you dont feel welcome overall, one on reception couldnt even say hello when he passed us in the hotel. Rude.The pool was mostly empty as was the "funroom".
Enjoyed the hill up to the hotel too...not.
Defo wouldn't go again.

been here twice 10 years apart, unfortunately nothing changed in ten years.
really needs modernising . short walk into town which is beautiful and full of nice restaurants (try the fish its amazing!)

Me lo imaginaba diferente y salio exelente.tanto el trato de los empleados como las instalaciones.el apartamento grande y cómodo además de muy limpio.en términos generales exelente.lo recomiendo
