Room was a bit small and the parking not easy to find, but everything else was perfect. After all of you sleep here you are in the very middle of Évora. Breakfast was very good, small and tasty dishes.

This guesthouse in located in a central location just 3 min walking to Giraldo square and walking distance to all important Évora monuments and attractions. A nice and restaured pharmacists house in the heart of the city. We've booked everything directly with Dario, the guest relations manager, who was kind to arrange for everything we needed in a very friendly and professional way! If you arrive by car they have a parking just 2 minutes away that you can use. This boutique hotel has only 7 rooms which provides us some privacy and where you can relax far from the big city confusion. Our room ¨pharmaceutico¨ was spacious, with a nice big screen tv, a cosy bathroom, a living room/desk area and some amenities like free coffee, tea and water. The room had a view to the main street and the Giraldo square, in the morning I couldn't resist on taking my coffee on the window and just breath some of Alentejo fresh air... For breakfast we went down to the breakfast area where a Canadian couple was already having breakfast. They were there for almost a week and enjoying a lot! And what's not to enjoy... the manager Isabel cooks like my mother... and treats you like family... She prepared us some scrambled eggs with bacon and some delicious mandarine/orange juices, everything was AMAZING. Overall the experience was really amazing... and if you are looking for a cosy place, walking distance from everything, this is the place to be! ENJOY!

Uma casa lindíssima e muito bem recuperada. Localização excelente mesmo ao lado da Praça do Giraldo. O serviço é de excelência e muito acima da média. O pequeno-almoço tem muita variedade e é de grande qualidade.

I cannot say enough great things about this guesthouse. Inside of guest house was beautiful and the roof terrace was enjoyable in the afternoon. The room was nice, clean, and roomy. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic as well. For the money it was an excellent value! We were there only one night but wanted to stay longer!

Can't rate it highly enough, friendly staff, perfect location, perfect room, parking, rooftop bar next to the main square...what more can I say.

This was a very fun place to stay. Literally right in the middle of the town yet the rooms are spacious and well appointed, the roof honesty bar has a wonderful view and the staff is superb. They were so eager to help with anything and everything. And the breakfasts are the best we had at any of our accommodations in Portugal. The guesthouse is a bit tricky to get to, but if you call them before you arrive, you can get directions and they have free parking nearby in a garage. Highly recommended!

This place is incredible. Get the room with the patio. It's very nice to sit out in at night. Also, the rooftop deck with the honesty bar was a super nice surprise. Breakfast was amazing.

We booked only one night here on our way from north to the Algarve and that was actually our biggest mistake on our trip through the Portugal. This guest house is like a heaven. People are so lovely and helpful and they make you feel like you are at home (actually even better). The whole building was refurbished quite recently so you still can smell the paint (in a good way) and be honest, they did a great job. I love the style, colours, actually everything. Yes, some rooms are a bit smaller, but in this beautiful city you don't want to stay in a room even if it is beautiful and comfortable (and they are). Our breakfast (it was included) was perfect and I'm sure that everyone will find something to eat (I loved the fresh fruit salad). So if you are somewhere around this beautiful place, do not hesitate and book at least two nights here. It's in the heart of this historic city with many local family restaurants and places you never seen before.

This place is amazing. It is beautifully decorated, extremely clean, quiet and yet you are right in the middle of everything. There is a lot attention to details. Also, very important for those of us traveling by car ... They have a garage. From what I heard they are fully booked all the time so it might be hard to get a room ... but considering the current situation we were lucky. Or host was super nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good and plentiful.

This place is an amazing gem. So nice, VERY clean, so very lovely. A short walk up the hill from the easy to find parking garage (you pass a lovely Roman bath house along the way). Staff was so sweet, they upgraded us to a honey moon room, took very good care of us. Only one block off the main square. Wish we had stayed two nights instead of one!!!

This hotel has only 7 rooms. We booked two rooms for our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 young children) for our 3 night stay. Check in was easy and the staff were really nice and even included a crib for our baby without us requesting for one! They serve free breakfast in the morning and had a designated table for our family with a high chair. This hotel is also in the best location for shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing. We really enjoyed this boutique hotel and the kids miss it already. Will be back!

Check in was very fast and all the staff are friendly. Breakfast was special with eggs made freshly to order. Parking was easy and close. Room decor was vey fresh.

Great location, has parking nearby... and staff will even help carrying luggage from garage to your room. Room was very spacious and nice. Shower only (in our room) but quite big. Staff is very attentive. Has a rooftop patio where you can enjoy your drink and take in the view. Breakfast is sumptuous. Checkout at 12pm.

The Valeriana Guest House was perfect for us during our visit to Evora. The underground parking was accessible and easy walking distance to the hotel. The hotel is sparkling clean, modern, and conveniently located right on the plaza mayor. The staff were helpful and friendly and spoke good English. And the included breakfast was excellent. We certainly recommend the VGH to other travelers to Evora.

This place makes you feel like family from the first moment. Casual check-in, no room key just a code, beautiful rooms, very nice breakfast and breathtaking views from the rooftop terrace are just a few things to mention. And the location is perfect as the GuestHouse is never more than a few minutes away, regardless of where you are in town, perfect for exploring Evora.

We highly recommend Valeriana Exclusive Guesthouse. The property is very unique and quaint with friendly, helpful staff. It is centrally located within easy walking distance of the sights. The breakfast was excellent, served in a very elegant dining room. We loved the rooftop patio - very relaxing spot to watch the sunset. If you come by car, it can be a bit tricky to get your luggage to and from the guesthouse as parking is offsite, a steep block away. But staff are available to help so definitely worth it.

We cannot express enough our gratitude to Dario for assisting us with our little mishap with the car mirror. He went above and beyond his regular job description in trying to help.As a result, the problem was solved in the most effective way, it took only less than 1 hour at the service station, and we were able to enjoy our holidays as planned.

It was a beautiful old building. Staff was excellent. However, we were given a room on the first floor right beside a guest washroom. Our room stunk like mild and a sewer. Very unpleasant smell. Room was so small u didn’t even have room to leave a carryon suitcase open. Would not go back

This is the most surprising place and our favorite host in Portugal. The guesthouse is beautifully done and and Isabelle, the manager, treats you like a special guest in her home. She warmly greeted us and gave us the tour of this historic house and an orientation to Evora. The rooftop terrace is special and a great place to have a glass of wine and watch the sunset. Breakfast was delicious and we wish we could stay longer.

Valeriana Exclusive Guesthouse is gorgeous. And the rooms are extremely comfortable. Very stylish. This is a former residence converted into a guesthouse. They have taken great care to retain many of the original features (including a museum of the owners pharmacy trade artifacts), while updating with contemporary design. The top floor lounge, terrace, and honor bar are a lovely touch and the breakfast was very very good. Excellent service, free parking in a garage, close to the city center plaza and city sites all within walking distance. We wish we had had longer to stay.

If you don’t stay in this little hotel while visiting Évora, you will do yourself a great disservice. Please, please, just make a reservation and you’ll find yourself right in the heart of the ancient city within a walking distance from historic places, restaurants, and shops. The rooftop of the hotel is accessible to all guest (just mind you, it’s only 7 or so rooms in this little old pharmacy converted to a guest house) and the ambiance, the view, the sounds and smells of the old city is right with you. The owner is one of the most welcoming ladies I have seen in my life. Please, pay attention.

Wow, this place! An all-around pleasure. We got the family room (two adjoined rooms) for the four of us and it was very comfortable. Top marks for service, breakfast, location, cleanliness, and overall aesthetic. The staff is extremely welcoming. (If you take advantage of their free parking, note that the garage is tight to navigate -- we did okay with the rented SUV but it took careful maneuvering.) A perfect stay for a delightful three days in the gem that is Evora.

L’hôtel est magnifique et on se sent transporté à une autre époque. La propreté des lieux, la gentillesse du personnel, le petit déjeuner succulent et, bien entendu la beauté de la ville d’Evora, font de cet hôtel un endroit à chaudement recommandé!

Der Empfang war herzlich, es wurde sogar ein Cafe angeboten! Die Mitarbeiter waren durchweg freundlich und beim Frühstück bemüht permanent für Nachschub zu sorgen. Das Zimmer war etwas klein, für unsere eine Nacht aber vollkommen ausreichend, wir hatten sogar eine Terrasse. Die war der größte Luxus. Außerdem ist die Lage des Hotels natürlich ein Highlight. Man geht aus der Tür und ist mitten im Stadtzentrum. Besser geht es nicht! Wir würden definitiv nochmal wiederkommen!
