Great people and place. Good gear, boat that takes you to the beach and back as well as helps in rescue. The spot is perfect for beginners and intermediate (flat water, river current helps you go upwind).

Kook proof was amazing here´s why; THE SPOT + Esposende offers a great variety in kiting, lots of flat water in the bay and really good wavekiting outside + There is a boat that takes you out every 30 minutes or so + Rescue boat + The current usually helps you upwind meaning it is a lot less work for beginners + We had amazing conditions!!! KOOF PROOF + Very friendly and helpful staff. Although I did not take a course with them noone hesitated to give tips and discuss technique or just general kiting +++ + Everyone in our group that did take a course got up and going in 3 or 4 lessons (no previous experience) GREAT! + Great storing facility, you don´t have to drag your wet and sandy stuff to the hotel + Fantastic restaurant recommendations, great food! + Well organized and communicated through whatsapp group In short a hazzlefree, friendly, great week of kiting fun, will definitely come back!

I've been 2 weeks on Kook Proof kitesurfing camp. Just booked rider package without lessons. There is also of course an option for beginners kite package. I was one of my best camp experiences. The Kook Proof team is really great. Every instructor/member is very helpful and friendly. And organisation is fine tuned to the last details.. Starting from picking up in Porto airport( I arrived late on Friday and they organized a special transfer for me). Tiago Rocha is one of the best instructors i met..very responsibly and puts a lot of stress on safety . As an intermediate minus rider i have a lot to learn from him and surely will book some of evaluation camp next year.If there is no wind( i was in September so we had 7 days wind ) you can go surfing,sap,mtb trips.. I personally recommend mtb trip..Did it twice and had a lot of fun.. Actually i can not find a single thing that was negative in this camp.. You dont have to worry about anything,like checking wind,logistics,dinner etc..all is done for you. Spot in Essposende is really on of the best i kited.. All in all very positive experience would rate it as 9.99 on 10 scale

Muy buena escuela de KiteSurf, a pesar de tener una semana mala de viento la disposición por parte de Tiago fue perfecta, siempre ofreciéndonos alternativas o la propia barca para llevarnos a la playa. Al no haber viento las clases de surf llenaron ese tiempo en el que teníamos poco que hacer. Mi profesor fue Moura y 100% recomendable, te sabe explicar con calma y de una manera no excesivamente técnica para los que empezamos en ambos deportes. Volveremos seguro, 100% recomendable.

Was here for 8 days. Proper kitesurfing and accomodation, just the surf and surf instructor wasnt really around, organisation was sometimes a bit chaotic. For the rest 5/5, that makes 4/5 total!

Price wise, anything else than 5 stars would be a lie. Great service, before the camp and during. Help with getting to and from Porto airport and more. You can borrow SUP and surfboards each day. A nice mix of beginners and people already kitesurfing. Super happy with my experience!

Obrigado Kooks! It’s an Incredible place to experience kite boarding for the first time. Really great instructors, staff and hostel in an incredible local Portuguese town super close to Porto with great night life, restaurants, history, yoga, mountain biking, surfing, etc! Make a stop at Porto too to maximize the vacation!

We had an amazing Time KookProof Esponsende! The team was really nice, the rooms and all the activites that are offered were great! We didn’t have Windy a lot (one day of wind on 6), but we surfed, did yoga and enjoyed This little town by the sea. The kite instructors were good, patient and I felt really safe on the kite spot. It gets really busy in the alfternoon, but some late sessions made the experience really great. It’s a good place to start kiting and, if there’s no wind, you can manage to do other activities for no or low cost! Thank you Kook Proof! Marie-Claude

Stunning spots to learn kitesurf, one with flat water and another with waves. Accomodation is just perfect and the surrounding restaurants and bars have very cheap and delicious options. The staff is very friendly and dedicated. Definitely recommend kookproof if you want to prioritize kitesurfing. If there's no wind, they have tons of options from surfing, yoga, horse-riding, bike riding or even a cultural tour in near by Porto. They have thought of everything!

Great kitesurfing school. I was renting gear and my GF was taking lessons. Professional instructors (with a good focus for their students) and also really friendly. Going to the spot by boat was always a pleasure. Kook proof also seems to attract other nice people. Had some great chats while chilling on the beach. Had a super good time. Thnx!

I decided spontaniously that I want to get some surf lessons for the first time in my life and it was possible to start surf lessons already the next day. It was a great adventure and I had so much fun - thanks to the Kook Proof Team!

Great experience! Made with them my kite b Gönner course. Well organised incl perfect rescue coordination of needed. For them safety of students is at first place. Instructors are just amazing and so professional and patient :)) Congrats...enjoyed 100%. Great team and mood!!!

Hemos estado en ella, y nos han atendido muy bien Tiago, nos ha dado todas las indicaciones posibles y muy atento siempre. Hemos venido a practicar Kitesurf pero recomendable 100% para aprender con ellos.

Das Team von Kook Proof ist sehr freundlich und bemüht, möglichst viele Schüler glücklich zu machen. Ein Pluspunkt hier versus anderer Kitesurf Schulen in Esposende ist, dass auf einen Lehrer maximal 2 Schüler kommen. Und wenn es mal mit Lehrern knapp wird, springt sogar der Chef ein und unterrichtet mit. Tiago und Mouru sind geduldig und ehrlich mit ihrem Feedback, was man noch beim Kitesurfen verbessern kann. Der Spot ist super (für Anfänger), da er sehr übersichtlich ist. Man fährt mit dem Boot von Kook Proof auf die andere Flussseite, wo sehr viel Platz ist, die Kites zu launchen. Es gibt auch ein Rescueboot, das einen, wenn nötig, einsammelt. Vielleicht ist es auch dem Ende der Saison geschuldet (mit sehr wechselndem/schwachen Wind), aber die Windvorhersage war sehr schwer, sodass man erst 1-2 Stunden im Vorfeld wusste, ob und wo der Unterricht stattfindet. (In meinen bisherigen Kiteschulen, wusste ich den Abend vorher Bescheid). Wenn es mal nicht genügend Wind gibt, gibt es zahlreiche andere Aktivitäten, wie zB Mountain biken, SUP, Wellenreiten, die man stattdessen machen kann. Das Equipment ist schon etwas abgerockt (vielleicht auch dem Ende der Saison geschuldet), was mir speziell beim Wetsuit und der Impact Vest aufgefallen ist. Einen Kite mussten wir auch während der Session auswechseln, weil er ein Problem hatte. Alles in allem kann ich Kook Proof in Esposende empfehlen.

Great center for all types of activites. Mainly kiteboarding, which is what I came here for, but also mountain biking, surfing, SUP etc. Friendly staff that can help you organise everything and the local beach (they have a boat transfer going there) is beautiful and perfect for kiting! Definatrly recommend this place if you're in to sports and looking for things to do in Esposende!

Kook Proof has a great crew that will support your kite sessions in Esposende. I didn't take lessons, but used their boat transfer services and joined the rest of the kiters. Great atmosphere among the travellers and instructors and they provide plenty of activities for the less windy days. Would recommend!
